It's random!
And no you don't have to escape as the survivor with the sparkles
Does every survivor and killer get something or just a few selected ones?
-
Yes whatever you unlock you will have when you get the survivor or killer

Either one would be awesome!
Texas chainsaw massacre maybe more because there's more looks for Leatherface and maps.

When a killer appears on my side of the pallet. Hits me even though I feel I dropped the pallet before they came over. THEN they're teleported back to the side of the pallet they're supposed to be on. How in the hell does that make sense?

This right here is a whole bunch of excuses and bullshit, @NatzAshe. Ask these pro Killvivors to show you their ranks and achievements. I'd bet my life none of them have ever so much as sniffed red ranks because they are carebear Killers who play like utter crap. Ignore them, play to win and don't worry about their fun. If they aren't having fun, they can go play Civ 4. Besides what they really mean is 'losing isn't fun so don't do things that might make me lose'.
Screw 'em. Tunnel them into the ground. I do.
So because I don't camp or tunnel I'm playing bad. Ok😂🤣🤣🤣 and I never said I was a pro player yes your right I never been to red ranks never cared to get there. I have killer trophies I don't have to prove anything especially to you.
The way I play is fun for me I'm sorry that you find it wrong.
And before you get all hysterical I didn't say not to tunnel I said that tunneling that one person could cost you the game. I never told anyone on here how to play.

Yeah that's why in tournaments all the killers play nice and fair by not tunneling and camping, oh wait...
I'm not talking about some tournament, but if that's how you want to play go for it. All I was saying is you can 4K without tunneling sure your not going to 4K every match but it can be done.

And a meteor could also crash through the roof and remove you from participating in this thread.
When you use extreme generalizations to describe an outlier, you are being very disingenuous. No-one is arguing it can't be done, but the majority of the active participants on this forum understand what must be done to consistently play well as a killer - you appear to have missed the memo. Or you live in a fantasy world.

Spoken like someone who hasn't played killer in high mmr matches. Anyone can play without tunneling it's whether you want that 4k or not.
Actually you can still get a 4K without tunneling it's just harder to do🙂

Well, you do have to chase someone, don't you? Who do you think would be easier to catch? A healthy survivor? Or an injured survivor who was just unhooked?
What I'm saying is that it is at least the same difficulty, even after considering BT.
Like my second reply on this topic
I don't camp or tunnel the victory doesn't feel that rewarding to me.

@NatzAshe said:

I thought I made my point that tunneling does not equal ignoring the other three. Tunneling means that you get the weaker survivor killed first, and that's if you have equal, or at least similar, chance at getting that survivor down again, compared to other chances.
See this is why I don't understand what you're getting at.
First you talk about tunneling the weak link. Then you talk about not ignoring the other three.
or at least similar, chance at getting that survivor down again
This! What you said right here is what I meant about losing the match because of tunneling one person could cost you the match.
-
@NatzAshe said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2685207#Comment_2685207
Tunneling is NOT equivalent to camping. Killers can patrol between gens and hooks, or find scratchmarks which suggests that a survivor ran to the resque, and follow them to the hook. Campers ignore the other three doing generators. Tunnelers don't ignore the others, and try to hinder them, and weigh that against going back to the hook.
I still don't know what the hell your talking about in my first post I didn't say anything about camping.
You're talking about tunneling is what I replied to. Tunneling one person all game could cost you the game. But if you want to chase one person for the whole match that's you learn to go after other players.
-
@NatzAshe said:

What?
-
@Fantasy said:

Not always the case though is it. Sometimes you tunnel that poor soul out and the other 3 fall because of it.
I don't tunnel or camp
It doesn't feel like a earned win to me.
-
If you want to tunnel one poor soul out of the game while the other three knockout gens and risk all four of them escaping go for it.
If it makes you feel good then do it

Truthfully, it doesn't look like you were matched against particularly strong survivors. Their grades indicate how much they've played this month, but those aren't ranks.
Two of the survivors you're against are using a mix of default perks and perks native to their characters or to default characters. This indicates they don't have much unlocked and so can't have been playing long - long enough to get rank 3 perks, but not long enough to unlock anything with shards. I'd consider the Iri 3 more dangerous than the bronze, because the bronze is running some really bad perks that experienced players would not use, but the fact that the Feng? is running Technician (which is very much a newbie perk) makes me headscratch. One only has two yellow perks and either just bought/prestiged a character or is new (but their score is quite low, so it doesn't look like they did much this match.)
Only the top player in this lineup, the one running two meta perks and two decent perks from different characters (one of which is paid DLC only), looks like they may be particularly experienced. He's the one who was throwing the explosive things at you - they're flashbangs, from Leon's perk. He gets them when he repairs gens and enters a locker, and he'll try to blind you either in chase or when you're picking someone up. You'll hear a sound when he drops it in front of you - what you need to do is look away and move away until you hear the explosion.
Overall this seems like a low-average team. MMR should probably start brand new killers lower and not just at 'average', but you weren't put against a god squad.
but the fact that they're running Technician (which is very much a newbie perk) makes me headscratch.
There's a challenge to complete 3 gens in a single match using technician.
-
Drop chase and go after someone else instead of coming to the forums complaining about how you lost 5 gens to skilled player.
-
Other
Hitting the hooked survivor 3 times lets the survivor jump off the hook dropkicking the killer in the face successfully stunning them 🙂 😂
-
You can't fall in MMR to face all rookies 😂
1 You'll have 2 veggies and 2 loopers when you kill the 2 veggies you'll get 4 loopers your next match.
2 when you let the 4 loopers escape you'll get 2 veggies and 2 loopers. You'll never get 4 veggies
-
It depends how close was the ballerina to you when you were opening the gate?
Was the ballerina giving you space or were they hovering over you?
If they were giving space I would attempt to escape.
If they were hovering waiting for the kill I would let the entity kill me.
You can usually tell if they're letting you go or not.
-
Text by the survivor's icons all it takes is a press of a button
1 I'm being camped
2 Do gens
3 Open the exit gates
4 I'm being chased

I have the same problem currently. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Keep your controller clean
Isopropyl alcohol 90% or higher Q-tips compressed airÂ
Clean around the sticks moving the sticks around pushing as you're cleaning with the alcohol and Q-tips.
Compressed air 3 bursts of air for each stick move the sticks around as you do this too.

You already said it... The most part of the nerfs were in the Killer side dude... And devs know that survivors can easy destroy any killer and finish it fast.. If in solo survivors can easily finish a game under 5 or 10 minutes imagine a SWF... RIP Killers... The Artist just came out and people are already asking for nerf dude... Do you atleast study the game and the hole community "Ask" situations ? Because i doesn t seems like it ya know...

Nope, just mega high mmr (thanks to the shared mmr) so gen speeds are insane as well as the second chance perks.
Fact is I can load in, shoot 3 crows at the gens miles away and each gen will have someone on. I'm at the point in mmr where no corrupt equals 2 gens gone min.
Like I said I have been downing players so fast iv gotten 10hooks 3k and still not got it because they done gens to fast.
Every game is 4DH, 2+DS and then a mixture of BT, unbreakable, adrenaline or a COH (last 2 perks arent as bad)
Iv never had an issue with adepts before, but now mmr is in the game my 5 years experience means very little when rng and balance isnt on your side. (If only I could use a 4th perk for my adept)
The best thing I can tell you is don't kill anybody and let your SBMM fall and see if that helps.

Well 4 or whatever, basically started at the lowest point and even with many hooks and kills I cant get a double pip
I got my adept the other day for the artist and I'm still in the ash grade.
ASH grade is the easiest to get the adepts maybe your doing something wrong

That's a lie. I'm already ash 5 and had 10hooks 3 kills.
You lie there is no ash 5 😀
-
Why they're already being punished.
The more they DC the longer they have to sit in timeout.
-
Don't go to the exit gates
-
Not really if I'm burnout and need a break I would rather play something else.
-
Or make it where survivors have to find missing parts before they can start fixing the gens.
To apply the missing gen piece have to do the yellow glyph skill checks fail to complete it will give a noise notification and will have to start it over again.

How is Deathslinger, Huntress, or Nurse on console?
that another dimension change everything.
I do pretty well with huntress I'd do a lot better if I played her more I might be off on my aim sometimes, but it's not impossible.
I don't have Deathslinger and nurse I played a couple times don't care to play her the blinking is to much.

I doubt they are going to implement that.
It would get way harder to get those shots. It would get impossible for console.
I think it should just copy terrain.
I don't see how it would make it harder on console.
It would be nice to be able to aim up or down that's all.

Have anyone played swamp?
It's not really extra floor, but it might be broken there too...
So far just on Dead Dog it would of been nice to aim up to push the survivors off the gen in the saloon. Instead of having to be on the same floor to send a murder at them.

I second that

Her entire kit is dedicated to just zoning people out of loops. All she has to do is put a crow around one side of the loop and it's unusable. Usually with other trap killers this isn't a problem since you can usually have enough time to get somewhere else while they're placing a trap. But that's not what Artist is made for. Artist can place down crows really fast and you usually just have to tank a hit before you can make it to the next tile. And she's suppose to do it in chase since the crows disappear after a set time. The power is very limiting in what the Artist can do and what survivors can do. There isn't a dynamic between both players. Being forced to take hits isn't a dynamic or counterplay. It's just losing because the other guy is playing a character.
With how fast the crows travel its nearly impossible to dodge them, especially after vaulting or running around a loop. And it allows her to snipe people across the map consistently as well since they have no set range. This isn't as much of a problem but it's very rinse and repeat gameplay. It's the same reason people hate going against Legion. You have to hold a button for how ever long which is the most boring part about the game. If you don't you're oblivious and vulnerable to being damaged by another pot shot. Oh yeah and you're revealed to her once you start getting rid of crows.
So she can hit you across the map with very little investment. Damage through walls. Shut down loops completely with no set up. Gets aura reading and tracking. And I guarantee someone will still try to say that she's underpowered.
The best way to play her is the least interactive way to do so. It just puts survivors in a lose/lose scenario. I'm not mad at the killers who are playing her the correct way. I'm mad at BHVR for constantly releasing killers who just zone you to death instead of making a fun power. Many of the newer killers are either just old killers with a gimmick or brain dead powers.
And it's not too early to judge this because it's the same thing people were talking about on the PTB. Everyone knew that she was going to be like this. It was remedied a little bit with idle crows not being able to damage anymore, but her whole kit is the problem.
I genuinely don't mind strong killers. I actually want more of them. But I also don't want ones who can secure kills by just existing. Ones who have a very low skill ceiling for how strong their powers are. Killers need to have some form of skill to them that isn't just a gimmick or having a really good power. Blight, Executioner, Huntress, Nurse are all examples on how to do this right. They all require prediction and quick thinking to bring the match into their favor. You have to read your enemies and utilize your power in the correct way to get rewarded. The Killer itself shouldn't be the reward. It should be your ingenuity.
This isn't as much of a problem but it's very rinse and repeat gameplay. It's the same reason people hate going against Legion. You have to hold a button for how ever long which is the most boring part about the game.
What about working on gens is that also boring?
Or just removing Deep Wound and a flock of crows is boring?
I'm not mad at the killers who are playing her the correct way.
What's the correct way?
