The attitude of "I want to be right" or "I'm winning this argument" is childish. There is nothing more to say
That's fine I have nothing more to say anyway.
Good Day Sir

I am not being childish, because there is a very specific reason why I wrote a post like this. First, Mandy is absolutely right about what she writes and I had that in mind from the beginning. But constantly reading in the official forum and on other platforms that BHVR was supposedly afraid because of VHS, deleting posts and so on, finally made me want to test the game myself. It was the same with F13 back then. BHVR is dead, DBD won't be around much longer and so on. In the end, however, something else showed up. That's why I made this post here. Yes, it's nice that this genre is evolving and it's nice that there are and will be more games, but I stand by my opinion: DBD is and will remain #1 for me.
Still what you said is the same as all of those that scream DBD is dead it's just childish.

Hmmm why do we have bloodhound excactly then when the VHS beta comes out? What a weird coincidence am I right fellow gamers?
But for real it's sad how bhvr tries such a cheap trick to try to make people not play the demo. Bhvrs answer about everything is Bloodpoints in form of cheap events or codes.
Hmmm why do we have bloodhound
Bloodhound is a perk 😀

It is funny how the community mindset is all about the "vs". This vs that, that vs this. It is cringe tbh.
Maybe play the game or role you like without making everything "vs"?

Hi,
No way. Dead By Daylight will stay at the top. VHS is way too colorful, a bully simulator and the gameplay doesn't appeal to me at all. Games like f13 have tried in the past and many gamers have said DBD is dead. The facts say otherwise and I'm glad DBD will stay in first place.
only my opinion: whats yours ?
VHS could be another game to take a break from DBD.
F13 would still be upper there if it wasn't for the lawsuit.
You're acting childish!

It doesn't matter neither side wants to play with the other side.

Yeah I thought so.
It caught me off guard I wondering did they change it or if it was buggy. Well know I know

I tried that challenge the other night and in 2 matches
1. Disturbed Ward upstairs jumped out from the second floor twice counted as 1
2. Pale Rose upper deck jumped off three times counted once again as 1
Unless I'm mistaken and you can only do it once a match.

The reason why players complain is most killers that use NOed camp/patrol the hook and do nothing all game.
What is the counter to camping? That's right rush gens😃😂
I've notice in some of my games killer camps everyone rushes gens. Killer leaves the hook for a sec. or a brave soul attempts the rescue BOOM! Last gen is done NOed.
I look at it if the killer isn't doing to good struggling or camping from the start of the match there's a 85-90% chance they have NOed.
That's why I break the totems on my travels next to gens before I start working on the gen.
Totems before gens last gen left I make a totem run.

this forums whole point is giving feedback.
if someone is quitting the game it is a lot more beneficial to everyone if they make a post here explaining why they left, because that allows the Devs to see why people are quitting, which in return allows them to work on improving those aspects of the game that are driving players away.
But if it's feedback shouldn't it be in feedback section?
-
NO!
Face camping is boring!

Their teaching the killer a lesson 😂 or the killer is teaching the survivors a lesson.
It's their way of saying you didn't kill me or you don't get to escape.

How much would you know?
Grades are a new Ranking Game Mechanic introduced to Dead by Daylight in Patch 5.2.0, replacing the now obsolete Ranks. Grades, unlike the old Ranks that they replaced, are not used for the Matchmaking-process and merely represent a Rank-Reward System for each Ranking Season in Dead by Daylight. Both Killers and Survivors have a separate Grade that is shared amongst all Killers and Survivors respectively. It is important to note that Grades are merely a feature to show one's progression within aIf you need to look up anything else
You get BP rewards for both killer and survivor.
-
Yes when grade reset happens you get a BP reward.

Shrug
I'm fairly competitive by nature. I tend to be nice in games, but I need to know that I could have won them.
The biggie though is the behavior of survivors. If I'm playing against a group that isn't being ultra sweaty and/or is of a similar skill to me, I will relax and have fun. I'll almost always let 1 or 2 (rarely 3, if it's an SWF) go.
However, I have too much pride to let an insult stand (flicking/teabagging me), and will either start playing really sweaty to repay the person that insulted me or, if it's at the gates/in postgame, I might take it out on the next group I see. It is what it is. Fortunately I don't tilt, so when I play sweaty I tend to do pretty well.
This game feels like a machine designed to manufacture toxicity, especially for the killer. It always feels like not only is the deck stacked against you, but that your opponents don't realize this will constantly belittle/taunt you for not killing them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2633132#Comment_2633132
This.
I actually really sympathize with Otz. He's like what would happen if a human and a teddy-bear had a baby, and even he loses his fluff with some of the flicky flicky groups he goes up against.
If more survivors would just chill out, stop acting like Halo players circa 2011 and realize that everyone gets more BP if you play at least somewhat to have fun, this game would be a lot healthier.
I just try to play chill I don't like to play competitive when I do I make mistakes and I let it get to me. So I remember Mr. Miyagi's breathing exercise breathe in, breathe out and I start playing better 8-9 hooks and unless they make mistakes more then likely they all escape.
I never felt the need to camp or tunnel teabagging never bother me if they did it at pallets I just leave and go hunt someone else I don't go to the exit gate unless it was an all around fun match. Flashlight warriors I never had a problem with look at a walk or I would try to bait them out. And they always seem to help me out more then their team.

I agree with you on this.

When someone teabags or flicky macros me, yeah - I take a certain amount of schadenfreude-tastic pleasure in camping them out. Mess with the Bubba, you get the saw.
The problem with the 'shared storytelling' approach is that it requires both sides to be on the same wavelength. It's pointless to tell killers to relax and have fun when you are facing squad after squad that does nothing but try to get 5gens done as fast as possible while giving the killer minimal chases/hooks and then teabagging you from the exit gates. This seems to be the absolute goal of almost everyone I play against.
Nobody thanks you for going easy from the start. If anything, you're more likely to be mocked.
Right now my policy is - go in hard, mess them up early, get ahead and then you can go easy and meme around. This is probably the one and only situation where survivors will be even slightly grateful.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2633066#Comment_2633066
Job? No.
It's a competitive multiplayer game.
The purpose is to win.
I'm rather tired of being told 'well, the killer should just relax'. It's as unfun to have a seemingly unstoppable 4-out as it is to be camped.
Job? Yes
Competitive or party game?
win or have fun.
It's just how you want to look at it.
I'm not telling anyone to relax play how you want but, I'm tired of players saying that their forced to camp and tunnel when nobody is forcing them they choose to camp and tunnel.
But, if you would relax and not take it as a job you will see that you play a lot better more focused then taking it so seriously and getting stressed out.
-
You're pushing yourself to camp and tunnel nobody else is forcing you to do it.
Play for fun and stop looking at it like it's your job.

Yeah, evenings seem to be when it's usually 'on'. Sunday was the last time I saw it offline (instant queues) in the evening.
Weekends I usually take my breaks from DBD I have more time to play other games.

Sub 10-seconds on killer I'd say. Can't really give an exact number. Basically this seems to be the sign for 'the SBMM system is offline' I've found. Usually happens late at night.
I play usually in the evening and it's a couple of minutes to find a match as killer.
All I know from my experience if I get 3-4K I get strong teams if I let them all go to a 1-2K I get easier chill teams.

@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/294249/is-mmr-actually-working
Is it working?
The answer is - it's complicated.
Sometimes it works like gangbusters and I'll get mostly even matchups all evening. Usually 1-3 outs, but I never feel overwhelmed.
Other times it'll put me up against literally whoever.
A few warning signs:
- Instant queue - you've been thrown into a lobby that another killer dodged. Either dodge yourself or load up on your best addons and prepare for pain.
- Multiple instant queues - it's not working right now. Probably worth taking the evening off.
- Full lobby of fancy skins - probably a smurfing SWF. See #1 Often has a .TTV in the lobby.
- Longer queues - it's probably working.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2632542#Comment_2632542
That's how it should work. It often doesn't. I'll have multiple games against teams that roflstomp me sometimes.
Again - instant queues are always the #1 warning sign that you might be in trouble.
Instant queues for survivor, not so much for when I play killer.
Instant queues meaning? Waiting no longer then what? 1 second?

I personally don't play Survivor simply because I just don't find the gameplay interesting however I'm after the Rift stuff this time around so I start doing the Survivor challenges and back to back I just keep going against very good Killers with 4k+ hours who use whatever builds no addons but teaming with insanely weak Survivors who run perks that make zero sense who just go down every couple of seconds.
I can see why Survivors say X Killer is OP, this isn't reality it's just this level of play is insanely low. If you spend 75% of the game just running around not doing anything and first gen pops 10 mins into the match of course the Killer is going to dominate and i've seen this now. I never ever get this luxury as Killer my games are just click squads who afk gens in 5 mins, bring maps that massively favor them regardless of what I do, these Killers i've gone against today have undeniably had very easy wins handed to them.
People say "Buff Solo" I don't think doing that will actually suddenly make solo's do their objective or make them suddenly better.
Honestly It's sad to say but I am so jealous of these Killers having such free games where they barely have to pay attention, I would love to have this luxury for a day just to experience It.

Let all of them escape and you'll get those type of matches.
Sweat for the 4K = teams that sweat for the 4man escape.

Exactly that, just tab out like if you were waiting in queue. If you add an option to kill yourselves people will grief teammates many times like when you could [commit stop living] on hook immediately.
I'm on console so I can't tab out😂 but I can put the controller down and pick up my phone.
And I think OP meant when their the last survivor left and everyone is dead to be able to tap out.

If a survivor walks through the crow do they take damage?
