The survivor wait time issue is a lack of people wanting to play killer. Mostly nothing to do with mmr. Until people want to be killer survivor queues will likely get worse over time
-
And I didn't even have to play that well

Jokes on you, I got a +50 pip

Tbh I just wish there was a way to disarm traps by default, I don't think being able to just rub the ground where her trap is would make her weak.
Tbh it would. Assuming traps work similar to how they do now, she would lose her traps, not get a notification she lost a trap, and survivors could just continuously do it over and over.
It would make her trap game the worst of all trap killers honestly. She already has one of the easiest ways to counter her traps. If they just made it a general ability survivors could do she would become one of the worst killers since all she has going for her are traps and if survivors can remove them risk free she would be steamrolled.
Trapper would have better traps than her and that's saying a lot. His at least let you know they are disarmed, can hurt survivors disarming them, and can be rearmed.
-
She's fine. She has counters that people just choose to not utilize enough. (Flashlights, crouching, etc)
-
This would be pretty insane
Spirit and nurse would totally run it. Getting another free phase onto your natural ability to chase down survivors right away is wayyy to powerful.
Imagine this : couple of survivors are on a gen other side of map. Spirit uses this perk and then as survivors start to run away, gets a hit, survivor runs and spirit gets to have her phase for the final hit. All of this can happen in less than 10 seconds pretty realistically.
I'm all for coming up with cool new ideas for the game but this would be terrible

You know, now that I think about it, from what we were told... I think Heisenberg wouldn't be a bad addition, he is telekinetic, something a lot of us wanted to see in a killer

I agree, RE gave a lot of horror games of today inspiration, RE7 showed that the series can still be scary, I only hope they keep with that trend after Village
The village demo does show a lot of potential

I know you're not allowed discus bans on here, so I guess I'll leave it with a "that sucks".
Yeah same

Wait did I miss something? What happened to TheClownIsKing?
He got banned. Not sure what for or if its permanent. I think @ClownIsUnderrated also got banned. Pretty much all of the iconic clown people are gone

It's kind of the same thing as skill checks in board games
Roll a dice and you want to hit a successful number and there is a great success number while some numbers are bad.
It's not a perfect 1 to 1 example but similar enough

Isn’t RE literally one of the most well known survival horror games?
Some would say it's what made horror popular in the first place lol

Wth, u know its truth
Only Mr X or the new Vampires would fit in this game, but obvs none of CLaSsIc rE fAnS want to considere a vampire themed killer
Id bet money it won't be something from re8

I'm trying to maximize BP to unlock all teachables before going more win focused on builds but here are my most commonly used perk builds across most survivors and killers. (I'd swap out BBQ and WGLF after getting all teachables)
Survivor- BT, DH, WGLF (for the BP), with Iron Will, prove thyself, and self care being my more often secondary perks.
Killer (general killer perks)- typically I run Sloppy butcher, Pop goes the weasel and BBQ.
The other perk slot typically depends with Save the Best for Last being pretty often (especially for killers you can down with secondary hits), bamboozle occasionally, Franklin's for keys, hex ruin even when I have pop just as extra gen defence, corrupt intervention if I'm particularly slow, and spies from the shadows sometimes.
Sometimes I'll swap out pop for hex ruin and then I'll also run undying

Trickster or Clown, both are op.
Trickster: have you seen how many knives he throws?
Clown: How many buffs???
If you think Clown has gotten a lot of buffs, you should check out Wraith. I believe he is somewhere close to 20 buffs since release.

That’s actually not true at all. Killers like Trapper and Clown are considered boring even though, in my opinion at least, they’re not very good killers. Whether a Killer is fun to face or not has very little to do with their actual strength and more to do with how interactive they are in a chase. Obviously you’re totally entitled to the belief that a killer being boring doesn’t matter, but trying to imply that people only declare a particular killer boring because they think said killer is too strong is rather disingenuous.
Clown id say is for sure weak but still pretty fun overall (he does need some changes still imo).
Id say if I had to put the top 11 least fun killers to be it would be (in no particular order) Trapper, wraith, pig, Legion, Ghostface, Demo, Twins, spirit, hillbilly, Huntress, and Plague imo. Which most of these are in the bottom half of most tier lists. Id love for them to either make their powers feel more rewarding or to give something a little extra to use personally.
Some noteworthy mentions
For Spirit- boring to me for how easy it feels to win with tbh. I don't mind even facing her a ton honestly.
Billy- I came back to DBD and he was my main before but he just doesn't feel the same.
-
Clown should either get something instead of the yellow bottle nonsense or it should at least be tweaked heavily. Sure it CAN be useful but it isn't THAT useful when 90% of the time you'll be using his old bottles.
If they want to keep them on him, remove the downsides of them. No need to give a weak killer multiple downsides to his ability.
-
I played back with original moris and part of me kind of misses them honestly lol. I liked the actual scare factor for ebony moris but on the other hand I understand why people disliked them.
I still like the one hook and can mori tbh. Right now moris serve no actual purpose and it blows my mind that moris got nerfed into the ground while keys were untouched (potentially buffed with spawn rates).
-
Unfortunately the game right now makes those the weakest types of killers overall:/ I like them a lot though. They need to slow down the gen completion (one way or another) in order to make those killers better and more common. Right now those types can't really get enough momentum before the gens are finished
-
Id much sooner buff a lot of killers than Han out nerfs honestly, besides for spirit.
-
Well, when in Romero...

You get a lot better at the game by playing both sides. You learn the strengths and weaknesses for each killer. As well as how to counter each killer when playing survivor.
Yeah I totally agree with this
-
I'll still give the question a shot
To play survivor more- make the objectives more fun. Gens aren't that exciting and most of the time I get stuck doing at least 2 gens alone (very often 3).
To play killer more- make it more fun, even if I'm losing. Right now wins can feel kind of not fun which is unfortunate.
Despite what I said above I do have fun with the game overall but there are parts of it that can either be super frustrating or boring
-
It's insane to me that this perk has not been touched in soooo long and its one of the more often talked about perks that needs looked at

i once accidentally equipped monstrous shrine instead of noed by accident since their icons are pretty similar and not only did i get two basement hooks that game but they also never finished all the generators so idk guys seems like a pretty good perk
I mean, I've survived with no mither and I still wouldn't say it's a good perk.
Try using monstrous shrine more and let us know how it goes
-
So is Jeff Mr thiccums?
-
How the game is right now they probably would have found a key in a chest (spawns have been pretty consistent sadly) so them brining one and is of little consequence right now
-
-
Another way to tell is when you don't see them anymore.
At this point they should remove and replace them. There isnt much reason to use them now

This would still be pretty weak in actual games.
Converted from percentages to actual values...
- -4.95 seconds per hook state to 9.9 seconds per hook state
- -0.6% chance to kobe to -1.2% chance to kobe
- +1.8 seconds penalty to +3.6 seconds penalty (still not enough to deny a kobe attempt).
It might get used in tournaments, where facecamping is such a meta tactic that Cameraderie gets used pretty often, but not in public matches.
Yeah thats fair. I didn't feel like doing the math honestly lol. In that case I'd want to tripple or quadruple each value and make it active on all hooks
-
Id simply double the current effect (slightly round up) and make them on all hooks.
So 20% hook progression acceleration, 30% hook difficulty increase, and 20% self unhook penalty.
Right now the time differences is very minimal and even if it were doubled it wouldn't be gamebreaking.
-
I hope they give her a rework, especially give her something to use during egc since traps and crouch are worthless once last gen is done. Having her entire kit useless at that point is a unique weakness to her which is a shame

New players should be given a few million BP to start with to help unlock a few teachables (if they want) and can try out a wide variety of characters more easily to see what fits them best. Starting below level 15 in a killer or survivor is super roughhhhh

No.
But to add onto this, you can learn a lot from a killers name, especially if they are a streamer. Sure killers can do the same but that isn't nearly as much of an impact. Having survivors know your kit going into a game drastically effects a game, especially if you know a player that exclusively plays a particular killer
Killers already have plenty of reasons (whether valid or not) to not play killer and this gives further reason to push people away from being killer. I would want to encourage people to play killer more than they currently do since killer population is already low and I see this just making the larger problem worse

No.

It means that you are playing in the smart & efficient way. I agree that there is more important stuff to adress, but this change is relativly simple.
I also mean this as against killers as well. I don't get verifiable evidence for it but I have tons of killers break pallets fairly quickly which makes bloodlust irrelevant
-
They really hate that Turtle
-
She-who-must-not-be-named
-
Id make 2 changes to him
1. Give him ability to multi stalk at once
2. Remove stalking max on a survivor.
This would.make him a lot better honestly
-
Honestly, I think I've only seen tier 2 become active a few times (not even 10) since i started playing in 2016. I dont think it's that important to be addressed and would prioritize many other issues above this
-
To preface I havent had much of a chance to play as eother since I'm on console #consolewoes
1.Positives about them?
-Oni I like his overall look and his gameplay is definetly interesting.
-Deathslinger he does add some much needed variety in ranged killers.
2. Negatives about them?
-him being released I think had a direct impact on Billy being used less (especially with Billy's addon changes)
-he lacks much personality. I wish he had more to him beyond his cackle.
3. Were they good or bad additions?
-both seem good overall. I think more people dislike death Slinger than oni but I don't have a ton of issues with death slinger.
4. Do they need any changes (either buffs, nerfs, reworSlinger.
-oni I would love a nerf to him where you can perform actions in one spot without dropping blood. I feel like once you get hit you will never escape. I probably just suck against him but I feel pretty hopeless against him.
-deathslinger I'd love an addon that would allow you to temporarily shoot cables to block areas. Survivors can go through cables but suffer deep wounds. I think that could make his gun more interesting imo.
5. Any other comments or things to bring up?
-
Admittedly there may be an R in there somewhere that I'm missing???

ya the example that you made was the killer just being an A-hole
face camping i didn't mention that cause that's just the killer being an A-hole and not trying to win
Oh yeah I figured you didn't condone those types of things but I figured it would be good to clarify that there are instants that they are not called for

And that all leads to an issue with the game needing to better communicate what a win is. A lot of people consider a 4k a win or an escape a win but how the game rewards you (both BP and Pips but Pips are the technical win measurement) shows that those are not the only things that determine a win (and you can win without those). Because of people trying to exclusively get 4ks you get a lot of killers play pretty scummy while survivors you get them to pretty early on abandoning teammates/objectives for hatch (and many actively getting their teammates killed).
It's an issue that the game should better communicate to players to encourage healthy (and frankly fun) playstyle on both sides.

Bone clapper goes BING BONG

I think it kinda depends tbh.
For example, I watched a game where a killer main was at 5 gens, slugged everyone and let everyone bleed out despite the team being pretty clearly bad (just newer players) and those players not being toxic at all. That I'd say is both tasteless and lacks any real skill against rank 15-20 players but the killer deranked previously so they could smash newer players.
Slugging makes sense in some instances but to slug an entire team (specifically 3 or 4 players) doesn't make a whole lot of sense outside of being petty. With 1 or 2 players I can see it more due to hatch and keys more often though.
Proxy camping is totally fine and makes sense. There isnt really a good reason to argue that a killer shouldn't check on a hook every now and then.
Regular camping I'd say is more often fine but there are exceptions to this for sure.
Tunneling although I don't love it, there isnt any reason to not do it as the game is currently made (from a scoring standpoint). I wish there was more natural incentive to not do this but right now it kinda just makes sense to.
Facecamping is the only one I'd say is pretty outright trash not just because it's an easy kill but I'd consider that much more toxic than the rest since you are dunking on a survivor for no good reason besides "I just want the kill and I don't care if I'm a tool". It's basically the killers equivalent of BMing imo.
