They hate her because she takes away some of the control that survivors have during a chase. Survivors hate anything that causes them to work harder or more, which is why they complain about perks like NOED and BBQ. They don't want to get off of gens to hide in a locker for three seconds, nor do they want to cleanse totems. All they want to do is kite a killer through an obstacle course that is designed for them to have every advantage.

True I like your point, but that's the risk of bringing totems. Why do you think there's a perk called undying or even Thrill of the hunt?
However me being unhooked at a bad time and left to die on the hook. Can I control that? You may say 'use deliverance to get off yourself then' 'or use DS stupid'
I could use these. But the difference between these perks and the killer totem perks is the killers perks dont need no skill or requirement unlike DS (hitting the skill check) and deliverance (unhooking someone).
Yeah they may not be hard to do, but there's still a chance you may get put in the same situation (Got hooked first or miss the skill check by an inch)
Stealth is always an option. If you're never found, you can't get camped.
Learning how to loop well is another option. The harder it is for the killer to catch you, the less appealing it would be for them to chase you. If you manage to loop a killer for 3+ gens, then you basically won the match for your team.
The reasons totems don't require much input from the killer is because they're high risk and high reward. Their effectiveness is based all in the survivors hands. My example was only to point out that survivors never ever go out of their way for killers, yet they expect the killer to do so for them, which is ridiculous.

My mate was across the map on a gen that was like 70%, Steve and a Jane were both on same gen, they did kinda take importance on the gen than me but after they got it done Steve came to me, Jane got downed by the time Steve was at basement, blight Brigg blight just dashed to basement and yeah.
I'm not saying it's the killers fault, like the Jane and Steve were quite selfish in the match. But like cmon blight, selfish teammates, left on hook, and you decide to block me and wait for Bat to expire on me instead of going for Steve that whole entire time.
But hey a tactic is a tactic
When you see a glowing totem at the start of the match, do you think to yourself "hmm, match just started, lemme give the killer a break" and not cleanse it? If not, why do you expect killers to do so for you?

Thanks for sharing. Your experience mirrors my own when I started about a year ago as Killer. It gets drastically different from about rank 8 and down. I long for the fun ranks where you can mess around and have fun and maybe still win.
Higher ranks you run into the same 4 perks and often on every player. People ganging up on you so you can't even get 1 hook. Or you get a hook and they just unhook in your face and finish gens in your face and leave tbagging on the way.
Anyhow good luck and I hope to see ya in the fog! ✌️💀✌️
Ah, so I'm not the only one who gets these kind of games. Makes me feel a little better that I don't suffer alone on the rare chance I choose to play killer out of boredom.
-
Who said they don't? They have already mentioned that they're going to tune him due to his high kill rate.

I change my mind, the killer power I'd like is to be able to pallet stun survivors as well as have the ability to blind them.
-
No, you're just late to the complaining party.

Imagine your in Hawkins and the Xenomorph is on the ceiling above you and pulls you up. Jumpscare city.
I would play a lot more killer if I could! OMG. Survivors sitting on a gen and some slime goop falls down on them, only for them to look up and see me coming at them! They'd probably have to rework some maps to make ceilings a little higher or give camouflage to the xenomorph, but it is work that I am willing to put the devs through.
-
I want a killer than can scale over the environment and launch itself at unsuspecting survivors. It's why I really want Chucky or the Xenomorph from Aliens to be in this game. Chucky would be cooler if they can use his original actors laugh when he attacks.

Selling out and discrimination. Catering to the rich and well off.
Behavior is a business, they have every right to cater to people who are willing to spend money on their product. If you have a problem with it, feel free to go protest Apple, Ferrari, Gucci, Michael Kors, Prada and Rolls Royce. They all cater to the rich and well off.
As for Behavior, you only need to purchase the base game in order to have fun. Many cosmetics and perks can be purchased by using shards.

You're grasping at straws with this. All you are doing is slandering them because you're not happy with them. The devs are not discriminating against minorities, I would so far as to say they have a healthy mix of characters from around the world.
Anyone with more than 2 active brain cells can tell that it isn't discrimination that directs the devs decision, but money.

Because there is no way for the game or devs to tell the difference if you lost internet or if you pulled out your Ethernet cable.
You should switch providers to get better service or stop ruining other peoples games with your spotty internet. It sucks when there are 3 gens left only to have someone get put on hook and another DC's due to their crappy internet. If you can't get better internet, then online games are not for you.

And I'm sure the killer found it amusing. Your delving into my post history, which is amusing, doesn't make a difference. I will still laugh my ass off at DCing killers and I'm sure when I DC/Suicide to avoid a Forever Freddy, Iri Kuntress, or other such bullshit I bet they'll laugh their ass off too. Save your armchair tedium for someone who might actually be swayed.
Why is delving into your post history amusing? I didn't want to wrongly accuse you of hypocrisy and your post history easily provided evidence. You're more than welcome to laugh at killers for DC, it won't change the fact that you're no better than those you laugh at. Heck, I'd argue you're worse since you take joy out of other people being miserable.
You dc'ing/suiciding to avoid things you don't like is actually worse than a killer getting frustrate and dcing. Killers who DC almost always do it out of frustration due to the fact that matchmaking has screwed them over by putting them against players who are much better than them. I give them credit for at least trying before giving up, unlike you, who probably tried to get out of a match from the start when faced with adversity.
I'm not trying to sway you, in my experience, there is no reasoning with spoiled people who want things handed to them.

Having 4 survivors teabag at the exit gate. They they realize I have BW. That is fun :P
I faced a Ghostface not too long ago who wasn't doing well. In the end, he slugged someone and wouldn't pick them up. Someone opened the gate while I went to try and rescue. As soon as I got there, he hooked the slug and the person died on hook. I ran to the gate and understood the reason for the slug. I chuckled and did a little twerk before I met my demise.

Lol you have said u find it fun to shock people over and over then let them leave I'm sure to some people that isn't fun at all so what u find fun others won't so what u think makes the game fun for others isn't true at all I'd rather u just played the game properly and I'm sure other people would feel the same I'm entitled as is everyone else including you to play how u want to play and never assume just because u goof about in a game that it makes it fun for all involved as it doesn't just like I know going all out doesn't make it fun it depends on your opponents and unless u know them then u don't know if they all found it fun and if ur telling me a game is fun because u goof about and don't care then like I say that's ur choice n hurray for u having fun but I'd rather play a killer or survivor team that plays amazing as only way players get any better is by learning and ain't going to learn nothing from someone letting people go just going to make the average player rage when they play a good player and get anhilated in the next game thus creating the whole my last killer was so fun let us go but u killed us not fair at all pfff like I say play how the heck u want but just remember u didn't buy a game for others u bought it for yourself to have fun and if others enjoy ur playstyle then great for them but No1 playstyle is for everyone look at for example tru3talent he doesn't change how he plays 1 game gets praised next game getting slagged though he hasn't changed how he plays
Periods and paragraphs are your friend.
This thread isn't for judging players on how they play, it is to show appreciation to those go out of their way to make the game more enjoyable for others.

Yes, it is fun. I love wasting a Spirits time by making her look for me, checking behind every rock and tree then pretending to move on only to waste more time and phase back in hopes of pulling me off of a gen.
If you're not good at finding survivors, you have plenty of tools such as infectious fright, dragons grip, BBQ+ Chili, Whispers, and I forgot the name but its the one where crows reveal survivors location. If you really want easy mode, learn doctor and equip Iron Maiden. There is no hiding from him.
My favorite thing to do is abuse the killers POV in a chase and disappear. It's satisfying to know that even though I am bad, I can still waste some of their time.

Not all survivors play douchey & if something is in the game people are going to use it, therefore you should blame the devs for balance rather than the players.
With this being said, this game is incredibly unbalanced & I agree with you. There has been many times I've went AFK as killer because I gave up & didn't get back on the role for a very long time.
Perks like DS & OoO should be completely reworked because it is just ridiculous. Of course there might be some OP things on the killer side as well but not near as much as the survivor side.
You're right, not all survivors are douchey, but a lot of them are. I don't blame killers for dcing during loading screen when they have last minute switchers and a map offering. It's really all killers can do, short of not playing anymore, to get the devs attention to the problems and un-fun situations killers are put in.
I also don't blame survivors for using the tools they have provided, that's all on the devs. It just seems that the devs won't do anything unless players force their hand.
-
I think it will give rise to more Trapper matches. He's great at protecting totems and all he will have to do is protect the lit totem that is in a better hiding spot by trapping it and the paths leading up to it.
-
Nothing. Not putting anything into this game until the Devs fix it's issues, take more risks and try to shake up the game play.
As for cosmetics, I will give props to their art team, but, I am just not into a lot of the stuff they have for sale. I have over 80k in shards and have no desire to spend them. I doubt their fashion sense would change with a new quest line.
-
I don't think the Devs priorities are bad, it's just that their higher ups are probably forcing them to prioritize monetization of the game above everything else. It's the same thing that happened with Blizzard when they got taken over by Activision. The quality of the game has gone down hill in order to cut costs and milk the player base. When you take a look at the outrageous prices of cosmetics, the prioritization pumping out a chapter every three months, the rift pass, and how they allowed the latest chapter to release in it's totally broken state, it's pretty obvious that the Devs aren't really calling the shots.
So I am disheartened by all the above. When developers focus is on money, the game always suffers and it usually ends up losing most of it's player base. Not saying Dbd is dying tomorrow, but it will get worse if they don't start focusing on core issues such as matchmaking, making killers more attractive to play in order for queue times to lessen, balancing around high level players and improving rankings so potatoes, noobs and pros arent always mixed up with each other and ruing oneanothers experience.
I 'm also disheartend with how slow they are to buff Trapper. Something as simple as making his yellow bag as base kit and increasing his setting speed a little is taking them forever to do.
-
I haven't found another game to get addicted to. I'm getting burnt out of Dbd because its so repetitive, but due to the fact there are no other games like it, it's hard to stop coming back to it. I may just force myself to stop playing for a bit to see if I can break the addiction.
-
Yea, they will now allow survivors to mori the killer.
-
I rather have Ramen topped with sliced rib eye.
-
It will only work when there are enough killers to pair against survivors. Once there are too many survivors in queue, matchmaking will start working as it has always worked, which is not at all.

I feel its impossible. Like seriously is there any way to balance swf without it seeming punishing to them?
There will be perfect balance in a game like this and I am no genius when it comes to balance, but I have some ideas from where the devs can start.
- Delete OoO. There is no need to give SWF more information than they already get from comms. The Devs need to stop being afraid to change things and this is one of the things that need to be removed and replaced with a totally new perk.
- With all the information SWFs get, the Devs should even the playing grounds and make Whispers base-kit so killers can use a better perk in its place.
- Make D.S. a true anti-tunneling perk. Have it deactivate if the survivor works on a gen, heals someone or gets fully healed, rescues someone, sabos a hook, or cleanses a totem.
- Implement Pyramid Head's cages into the core of the game. Survivors hooked while 3 or more gens are up should be teleported away from the killer just like cages do. So as not to make things overly difficult and to allow strategic camping, this should deactivate when the match is down to two gens since hooking someone in a three gen is one of the best moves a killer can make.
- Make Self Care base kit. This is more for solo than anything else. It will help because it'll allow potatoes like me to not have rely on other potatoes to heal and give us the chance to bring in a better perk. It shouldn't hurt the killer because people healing means less gens being worked on.
- Introduce a cool down on how many times a killer can be stunned by head-on. Something like survivors can only use head-on twice within 60 seconds. Same should be done with flashlights and killers shouldn't be able to get blinded while getting someone out of a locker.
-
I wish the Devs would just finally balance the game around SWF and the fact that they are almost always on comms. Don't hate the players, it's not their fault that they want to play with their friends and use an advantage that the devs promote.
-

Ok first off I never said I didn’t have complaints about Dead Hard, D Strike and keys. They’re all issues and I’m aware of that. I was just stating my idea I have for fixing NOED. There’s no need for you to make assumptions about me favoring one side over the other because I really don’t. FYI, I play both sides almost equally and maybe a little more of killer, but I do have a good understanding of survivor as well.
You’re argument for countering NOED is “do the bones.” Unless you have Detective’s Hunch, going out of your way to find 5 totems that have potential to spawn in nasty spots is way too much to ask for. Especially since you’re cleansing 5 totems to hopefully counter a perk that the killer may or may not even have. Comms can do it easier than solos obviously, but not everyone plays in comms, so that’s just yet another disadvantage solo queue survivors have.
One of the many issues of NOED is that the survivors have no way of knowing the killer has it until a survivor is affected by it. So as I said, cleansing totems at the start of the match just to counter NOED is not a reliable counter because for all you know, you could be wasting time doing totems instead of gens and the only reward you get from dull totem cleansing is bloodpoints (and Inner Strength if you have it I guess) if the killer doesn’t have NOED.
You're not supposed to know that the killer has NOED. Just like the killer isn't supposed to know if the survivors have DS, BT or Kindred.
Cleansing totems at the start of the match is a reliable counter. Just like killers not tunneling or camping is a reliable counter to DS or BT. Your reasoning for nerfing NOED because you don't like wasting time because they might not have it is weak. Killers have to do the same when they have to choose between tunneling and risking DS or not tunneling and risking a loss. Killer isn't informed what perks survivors have until after they use it, why should survivors be treated differently.
I don't run any totem finding perks. They are always easy to find, even if they're in a difficult spot, all I have to do is wait for the fifth gen to pop and I could find it by listening for the crackle of fire that indicates that a lit totem is near.
Your idea is flawed because it assumes that NOED needs "fixing" which it does not. You just want it nerfed.
I never said you favored one side over another, this isn't an us vs them. 98 percent of my matches are Solo Survivor and I have no reason to want NOED nerfed and the game made even more brain dead. As things stand, killers need NOED even if it isn't equipped otherwise gens will just continue to fly by, discouraging more killers from playing, causing longer queue times, which we do not need. I look forward to your threads on ideas to fix all the survivor second chance perks to make them more fair to killers!
Again, survivor is a team game, your teammates are also responsible for doing bones. It isn't hard to do if all 4 survivors did 1 at the start of the match and then one of you find the last one while playing regularly.
-
If you're going to nerf NOED because you think it rewards bad playing, then you should also be making compliant threads asking to nerf DS, Dead Hard and Keys. They all reward survivors for playing poorly.
The Devs have repeatedly stated that NOED is fine.
It punishes lazy survivors for not cleansing totems.
If it was nerfed then survivors would have less of a reason for cleansing dull totems, which they hardly do these days.
If the killer was bad and had to rely on NOED to get a kill, then the survivors should have had an easy time wasting the killers time by looping them long enough to do the gens and cleanse totems.
If the killer was so good that you had no time to do totems, then you were just out matched.
You don't have to cleanse all 5 totems to get rid of NOED, just can cleanse the ones you notice that are in hard to find spots or just remember where they are. After the last gen pops, go back to the ones out in the open to check if it is lit.
You can stealth at the start of the match and look for totems. I personally do this and find 3 totems by the time two gens pop in less than three minutes. I know, I can rush a gen instead, but I like my games to last more than 4/5 minutes.
You can bring a map, small game or detectives hunch to counter totems.
In the end, the fault for getting hit by NOED is totally in the hands of survivors. The survivor role is a team role with an option to be solo, so the fault for it lies on the whole group. It isn't OP or unfair, you and anyone else who complains about it are just whining to make the game easier for you.
If you nerf NOED, which isn't even used all that often, I guarantee you that we will only get longer queue times and face the same Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Freddies over and over. I rather not have that.
Imagine if killers could cleanse totems and remove your exhaustion perks, unbreakable, DS, or even the ability to heal. You would all riot.

-
The killer isn't a "trash garbage killer" for camping or proxy camping if it works. It just makes the survivors bad for not being able to work together and give enough time for the unhooked survivor to get away or get to another loop in order to waste more of the killers time.
Insulting others for their chosen play style is the same as resorting to arguments or insults when you have nothing intelligent to say.
-
Nope. His camping potential is annoying, but that is countered by being aware of your surroundings and not getting caught. If you are spotted, looping long enough for the first 2-3 gens would guarantee your teams victory if he chooses to camp you.

You can tell if they're letting you farm grabs or if they want to leave. If they want to leave, they would run from you after the first time you let them wiggle out.

Just out of curiousity how would one force survivors to farm, i mean either they wanna farm and play along or they dont and they go do gens. Forcing them to farm would just be standard gameplay.
If a survivor points at a hook, it means they either want to give you points or want to get killed to move on to the next match. So either way, down and hook them.
Preventing them from doing gens and not hooking them, while you farm with the others can be considered griefing. Devs aren't very clear on what they consider griefing so its best to be safe than sorry. Don't keep pulling them off of the gen and letting them wiggle out in order to prevent them from progressing the match either.
-
Not the Dbd Quentin

Piggy is the best for farming, survivors will rush to you in order to boop your snoot.
