Why are you trying to turn Dead by Daylight into Call of Duty or Fortnite?

I'm assuming OP isn't happy with the monetization of this game. I wish Behavior would take a few things from Fortnite, such as changing up the maps and having different events. More varied cosmetics would be nice too. They even give more and better stuff in their free "rift"- I forgot what their pass is called.

  • I was literally thinking this. I stopped playing killer for a long time now because the weekends bring out all the sweaty swf death squads, but now playing solo survivor is worse than it has ever been. All I keep seeing is sweaty killer after sweaty killer who slug at 5 gens, tunnel hooks or just proxy camp for the whole match.

It doesn't help that its the same killers over and over. Last weekend it was Freddy, Freddy, Freddy, Spirit, Nurse, Freddy, Freddy, Billy Nurse. This weekend is Spirit, Huntress, Spirit, Nurse, Spirit, Nurse, Nurse, Spirit and one Trapper.

Like, where the hell are all the Demodoggy(I miss you cutie pies so much), Oni, Piggies, Pyramid Heads, heck, even Bubbi Bois at?

I hope I find something else I can get addicted to cause this game is losing its appeal. Not just due to sweaty players, but the game play is stale and short breaks aren't helping as much as they used to.

  • She should be able to repel herself off of the floor, high enough to go over obstacles, using her vomit.

Thing is,the devs already promised us stable 60 FPS for december 2019...

After all this time they couldn't even fix these FPS drops and we get to hear absolutely nothing about the state of optimization.

It's infuriating to say the least

Devs refuse to optimize the game for console because they're mad at you for stealing all of their macaroni.

  • They're as rare as they have always been for me. But it is nice that when they are offered, no one DC's. I might see a mori once a week.

  • I just play normal because I don't care enough to remember anyone's name and even if I did, they may have been having a bad day and used Dbd to vent.

But if they play as a toxic survivor and farm me off hook or constantly lead the killer to me, you better hope Plunderers doesn't give me a key cause I'm bailing as soon as the hatch appears.

  • That killers can see you even though your a P3 Claudette and are not moving.

  • I only play solo and have been repeatedly been left behind by console players, so now I just leave.

The only time I will attempt a last minute rescue is if the hooked person did a good job looping the killer. Then I don't mind dying for them to escape.

I was playing Bubba. Facecamped the first survivor I downed. Got a second kill during EGC. I figured since they didn't want to play a normal game, I wouldn't give them a normal game.

Good job! I would have done the same. I don't own Bubba though, so I would have ruined their fun by facing a corner and not playing- especially if I saw an OoO.

While I also dont think that Iridescent Stone should be Basekit, Bloody Coil Basekit would be horrible for Trapper. People would never heal against him, meaning one way to let the Survivors spend time off Gens would be gone. There would be really no point in healing anymore, because either you get injured when removing a Trap (and you have to do that most of the time) or you run into a Trap in a chase and then it does not matter if healthy or injured.

IMO yellow Bag Basekit and the remaining Traps more to the center of the Map and Trapper will have a way better time.

Yellow bag base kit, and instant picking up of traps where Trapper just automatically acquires traps by walking over them. The disarm time for traps should be made longer and his base trap setting speed should be increased.

I disagree that Bloody Coil would be bad as base-kit for Trapper. Forcing survivors to stay injured is better than letting them heal. I just think it is too much for solo survivors, they'd never survive against it.

  • I'd rather it be bloody coil so survivors can actually have some risk when countering the killers power, but I guess it would make getting out of the basement near impossible.

I really wish they would just hurry up and increase his base trap carry count and setting speed.

Have you tried playing on a controller or does it make no difference when it comes to pain ? Just wondering as it would allow you to look behind you due to thumb movement only / no wrist movement.

I learned this game using a keyboard and when I didn't have a controller. I actually ended up buying one, but found it annoying to try and relearn the inputs. It would be easier on my wrists if I could try again and get used to it, but I really just need to stop playing and break my addiction to DbD.

I would stop responding. They are very well know on the forums. basically a bait account you're not gonna get through to them.

    Yea, you're right.

  • The timing is fine. This game has a problem with how easy it is to tunnel and survivors need something to counter it. All DS needs is for it to deactivate after getting fully healed, healing someone else, working on a gen for 5-10 seconds, unhooking someone, or cleansing a totem.

Heck, I will be okay if the timer was paused while being chased if they implemented the above.

You gave me a laugh I very much needed today. Thank you lol.

You're welcome. Life has been rather difficult for me lately so I try to make myself and others laugh as much as possible. I just wish killers would pick up on me wanting to meme with them a little before they kill me!

And I could pick apart your videos and show the killer main making mistakes too. This is the only thing I ever get from people defending this, that the survivor is making mistakes but it is never the other way around. The theme is that killers are all good skilled gamers and survivors are all potatoes and I don't believe it. You even accused me of bad without even knowing me you are so biased about it.

I don't have proof of myself playing, I play as a hobby in my spare time, I already have a job making a fair salary. I said to go watch a popular killer streamer for proof but you didn't even hear me. Ironically, one has a title today says he hasn't lost a game since January 1st as killer. That is remarkable. But you are not interested in this kind of real proof.

The difference is if a killer makes a mistake, it can cost them the whole match, whereas if a survivor makes a mistake, they get chance after chance after chance. No one is saying all survivors are potatoes, we are just saying that solo is miserable due to the potatoes that we are currently matched with. It's not overpowered killers that are making the game miserable, but poor matchmaking. Once the devs fix that, the game would feel more fair for most people.

With your admission that this is just a hobby and you only play this in your spare time, what makes you think that your opinion is valid enough? You having a job or having a "fair salary" is irrelevant.

You're more than welcome to post a link to the killer you're referencing to. But you are not interested in providing real proof.

A question just out of curiousity: Can you even play killer with carpal tunnel syndrome? I figure your tendons must feel like fire when playing killer as you don't get to chill at any moment throughout the match whereas survivors pretty much go AFK while repairing gens.

I can play Trapper and Hag, but I can't play very many matches. And if it's a sweaty swf bully squad with OoO, I don't even try. I just face a corner, it's not worth the stress or pain. Trap killers are easier on my hand since right clicking isn't too difficult.

Playing survivor is much more forgiving. If i get a cramp, I can just go in a locker for a few secs and do my hand stretches. If I'm in a chase, I just run across the map and try to juke the killer by stealthing away. It works more often than one would think and it makes me giggle with glee when I watch them check behind rocks and trees in the wrong direction. If I am chased too long and my hand hurt, I sometimes just let them down me.

I know it sucks and I wish I could be a better teammate, but it is what it is and love this game too much to just stop playing. I really wish I could 360 or look behind myself while running, but I can't. So I will stealth and do objectives. That doesn't mean I won't take aggro though. If I know a teammate is on death hook, I will run in front of the killer and just stand there for him to come at me.

I really hope they come out with a new hide and seek mode that is more difficult to survive and somehow scarier. I miss the adrenaline rush I got from first playing this game. I literally couldn't sleep from how pumped it made me, which is rare for me.

I'm not interested in a SWF beating a random killer. My complaints are randoms never win. Watch any popular killer streamer for proof - they literally never ever lose.

Here you are again, posting no proof. Post the proof that you have please. Show actual video evidence that killers are overpowered against decent survivors. Decent Survivors don't necessarily have to be swf. I only play solo and have had an equal amount of potato teammates versus good teammates.

Oh, you can't because if you were to provide your evidence, we would be able to pick apart the videos and show how it was the survivors making mistake after mistake after mistake. The moment you accused me of being a biased killer main was enough for me to know you have nothing to back up your claims. I have always played the majority of my games as survivor, has a short streak as killer, and now almost exclusively play survivor. I would say I am as unbiased about both roles as one can possibly be.

You are just bad at the game. Anyone else who complains that killers as a whole are over powered is bad at the game. If I am wrong, please provide your evidence.

Nooo! If they do a little booty dance or if they're console and do the new tip toe dance, you should show mercy! Their tapping feet are too cute to kill.

  • For every three survivor matches you play, you must play one killer round.

At least I have hard facts to back up my claims. You have none, except being a biased killer main.

You accuse me of being a biased killer main even though I won't touch killer with a ten foot pole.

You have no facts. I can link to video after video after video showing how compentent survivors stomp good killers any day.

If you had hard facts you would have provided evidence for them, yet none of your posts does so.

  • @Sluzzy said:

I feel your sentiment. Contrary to popular community belief, survivor is too difficult when compared to killer.

Yes, it's possible to get really good at survivor but getting there is too much effort. You can buy this game, buy Freddy for example, invest 100 hours and you are now almost undefeatable unless a coordinated SWF swat team comes along.

Invest 100 in survivor and you are still dying 9 out of 10 matches or more. That's wrong.

I am terrible at looping. I also have Carpal Tunnel that prevents me from being able to press the keys as a normal player would. I play 98% solo survivor and I have no difficulty performing my role. I cannot loop well due to my Carpal Tunnel but I can play stealthily, cleanse totems, do gens, rescue my teammates after the killer leaves so they don't get farmed, prepare the gate then go unhook if need be and waste enough of the killers time by having them chase me to the other side of the map in order to allow my team to reset and heal.

Yes, some things on killer side needs to be nerfed, such as Freddy (I can't wait!), but the number one thing that makes solo painful isn't tunneling, camping or slugging killers, it is idiot teammates who refuse to learn the game. Something as simple as going into a locker when the killer downs someone is lost on most solo players.

People who complain about killers being generally over powered are either bad or woefully ignorant. That, or they're trolls, which I think you are judging by your comment history.

  • Looping is why I like playing Trapper. He shuts them down really well. I just wish he was faster at setting his web and wouldn't lose 3 gens when he finishes preparing.

  • Pig Buff-

If a survivor is unhooked while wearing a reverse bear trap, the survivor will transform into a little pig, wandering around for 30 seconds unable to perform any action except healing teammates. Transformed survivors will squeal once they heal a teammate to full. They also have increased healing while in piggy form.

  • @Yords said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1891244#Comment_1891244

But you can't always take the time to do totems. If you are up against a good killer and the player is skilled, you don't have time to waste. If you manage to do all gens with one person killed off, NOED will almost guarantee another free kill. As I said before, a solo queue team can't really risk cleansing totems and the chance of the killer having NOED at different rank varies. In solo queue, if you aren't doing a generator, you better hope your teammates are. In fact, solo queue is the main problem.

It's not a free kill if the killer pressured you enough to prevent you from doing totems, especially since they've been handicapped to three perks for most of the match. It just means your team was worse than the killer.

Solo isn't an excuse to gut yet another killer perk.

I only play solo and I'm bad at the game, yet I don't have a problem finding totems or cleansing NOED. The main problem with Solo is always being paired up with bad players who don't know how to properly loop for more than 5 seconds or know how to play stealthily.

  • I disagree. NOED is fine as is.

Survivors don't have to cleanse dull totems. They can wait for the last gen to pop and look for the lit totem.

Totems are a secondary objective. They are not mandatory, but you do risk danger by not looking for them and cleansing them.

Survivors are not entitled to an easy escape just because they could hold M1 long enough to power a gen. Endgame is a large part of a killers game and many can snowball and get 3-4k if played right.

If the killer was so good that they were able to pressure you enough to where you couldn't take some time to cleanse totems, then that isn't the fault of NOED, that is in the fault of the players not being good enough to be able to work on more than one objective during a match.

You are not being punished for being a good survivor if you get hit by NOED, you are being punished for making a bad choice and taking a big risk in not cleansing totems. You are being punished for not considering the killer might have NOED and not paying attention to your surroundings when the last gen pops.

I would love skill check struggles. The A+D and space bar is gonna give me carpal tunnel.

I actually have it and sometimes the pain and numbness happens at the same time and I have to let myself die on hook if people take too long to rescue. But then again, if I get chased for too long I sometimes have to stop running and let the killer down me. It really sucks and me being bad at the game doesn't help 😭.

  • I would break my no micro-transactions rule and purchase him right away. His mori would be him taking his mittens off and using them to beat the survivor to death.

  • No, not too secretive, just too slow.

  • Freddy

    Spirit

Ghostface/Hillbilly - Hillbilly is here only because he is a pain in the ass when whoever is controlling him is good and knows how to move. Not saying he's overpowered, I'm just bad and if no lockers are near when he downs someone, I'm usually screwed.

  • Don't need to fix something that's not broken.

  • It used to be the Swamp, but Midwich now leads as my worst map. I hate it so much.

  • @Mr_K said:

Yeah, cost may be why its not more Bubbas.

I'm not a fan of microtransactions, but thank God Bubba is optional paid content. Can you imagine how many camping Bubbas there would be if he was a base killer.

  • No, DS doesn't need a buff, it needs to be reworked into a true anti-tunneling perk where it deactivates the moment you work on an objective. The last thing that this game needs is to be balanced around bad players, such as yourself, who can't hit simple skill checks . What needs to happen is for match making to quit matching you with players that are better and to pair you with similar potatoes instead.

After cross play not much but before I got a decent bit especially when I picked up deathslinger as a second main

so its fair to be a soor sport and block someone in a basement like that??? No other killer can do things like that and my team tried to get me out of there. Bodyvblocking both exits and not hitting me for 15 minutes is down right dirty and Greifing 100% maybe not holding the game hostage but definitely greifing,

You were no more entitled to escape just as you believe the killer wasn't entitled to a kill. Both parties are equally guilty. All I am saying this was a special case due to the unique power of the killer and it is something the developers should have considered when designing the killers power.

You want to argue that the killer was griefing, fine, but your teammates did the same thing. Both parties should be punished except for you since you had no control in the situation.

  • @stvnhthr said:

What is the first thing you do when you start a new match?

As a survivor I usually jump on a generator. I always wonder what the other players are doing first, since I often see them just run by generators like they have a separate agenda.

I listen for the crackle of fire that indicates a lit totem is near. Then I scan for the nearest chest in hopes Plunderers gives me a key and if so, take the key and hide it in a corner. If no gen, totem, or chest is near, I make my way to the gen that is closest to the center of the map in order to try and prevent my fellow solo teammates from 3 gen'ing us.

  • The mistake you made was playing against OoO. OoO users know they have the upper hand and their entire goal is to make you mad. What do survivors do when they're faced with something they don't like? They DC or suicide on hook. Do something similar, go to the basement and face a corner.

The devs don't care enough about the killer experience so you shouldn't care about entertaining survivors. Alt+tab to youtube and let them seethe in anger at the fact that they can't bully you.

I´m also sure the map will be overhauled at some point. Many people were baffled where they put their rework priorities, though.

Given what the DEVs stated regarding Myers and Laurie I don´t think they will be ever changed again, though.

I don't know, I feel like they will alter DS to be less abuse-able one day in the distant future. They won't do too much due to the fact that it's a part of a paid chapter and has to be a reason people buy it. It is also possible they will surprise us with an update to Laurie to look like Jamie Lee Curtis, but I won't hold my breath on that.

But yea, the map will be re-balanced to hopefully be more fair once it gets it's graphic uplift- hopefully without stupid breakable walls.

  • It will probably get a bit more balanced when the Devs make their pass over Myers and Lauries perks and remake the map.

  • It's because they refuse to run one totem seeking perk or to bring in a map since they don't believe totems are an objective. Many people just want an easy game and when they can't have it, they cry.

Every tunneling Freddy was once a bullied trapper. Something to keep in mind.

I too was once a bullied Trapper. I still consider myself a Trapper main at heart, even though I only play survivor these days. I still don't take out my bullied past upon solo survivors who are obviously bad at the game.

  • The only thing that needs to happen for swf is to remove OoO and change DS so it deactivates when the user works on an objective for 10 seconds or unhooks someone. I don't think there is much more the Devs can do without punishing Solo and making it even more unbearable than it currently is.

  • Devs have stated that he's going to be tuned due to his high kill rate. I cannot wait. So tired of tunneling freddies every other match.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220485/i-m-toxic-now

The main reason survivors treat you like trash is because they get treated like trash from killers. The same type of killers that you have now become.

Welcome to the wishes circle of toxicness.

This is false. Survivors treat killers like trash not because killers treat them in kind, but because they can. Killers can play perfectly, no tunneling, no camping, no slugging, no toxic comments in endgame chats and you would still have survivors acting toxic. Heck, the devs made sure that the new animations wouldn't affect t-bagging because they didn't want to upset survivors and take away from their enjoyment bming the killer at the exit gates or after every pallet stun.

Survivors treat killers like trash because they have a sense of entitlement that the killer is their play thing and has to play a certain way and when they don't, the killer must be punished, be it verbally or in game. Just go play killer against a swf bully squad that out match you and give up, literally just go stand in a corner and they will drag the game out as long as possible. Heck, pretend that you are a total noob and you will see that they will drag out the match just to mess with you since you're no threat.
