I tried to let a Pyramid head boop my snoot but he just used his sword to penetrate deep within my body.

Yui cosplays Spirit of course
I love your art, makes me want to get back into it myself. Yui would look nice but I think she should dress up as Oni. I know, it's not original, but I think it suits her.

Even though they're not in the game, Bill dressing up as a special infected would be cool. If I had to pick I say Hunter because I think Bill in a hoodie would be cool (I like hoodies).

If it had to be a killer from this game, idk I guess Plague because they both old as heck, it could be a nice indirect reference to the Spitter (another special infected), their personality of wanting to help people out (to the point of self-sacrifice), and I think Bill in a headdress would be pretty funny.
I'd enjoy a cross dressing Bill!
For all the Bill mains, I hope he gets some more cosmetics!

I dunno, the fact that I got tombstoned out of a game in less than two minutes two days ago still feels pretty strong to me.
I feel your pain. I did two gens and rescued three people who went down like flies and kept feeding him, only for me to get tombstoned out first.

That's horrifying.

My favorite is also the best survivor (everyone else is WRONG!!!):
-
Instant before 7PM central, 5-15 minutes after.
Oddly enough, killer queue is the opposite.
-
If you are sure you can quickly down the other survivor, go for the other survivor. This way, you have two to three people off of gens, the slug, the one you're chasing and the potential rescuer if they're not gen rushing. If they're close to strong loops, I'd just hook.

I used to run it. It was my crutch, being the Bush that I am, but I’ve moved on to Inner Strength. It’s amazing since most people don’t cleanse totems, and it hard counters Nurses Calling. It just sucks when you can’t find a totem on Midwich.
I just wish it would get buffed to letting me cleanse two totems and save two heals.

Actually luck doesn't work with chests last time I recall
Yea, my mistake, just checked and you are correct. It should though, make it a little more useful.
-
Luck gives you better odds to self unhook or get better items out of chests.
Fog offerings are a relic from the olden days when the fog was actually fog, in that, it actually made it scarier and more difficult to see. I wasn't around then, but I think it was nerfed due to the fact that it made it impossible for some killers to find survivors. This should be removed.
-
Last minute key switchers.
More than one tool box - mainly because, more often than not, they have a BNP. I see them a lot these days.
These two items tell me that they want a fast game. So, I will do my best to give them fast deaths. If they're strong loopers, I'll focus out the weakest link. If I catch one of them and manage to haul their ass into the basement, they're not escaping.
-
I want cosmetics to be overhauled. I want a cosmetic choice for each body part rather than have the outfits linked as we do now.
So, basically different slots for different body parts.
We need a slot for the face to get different make up, tattoos or masks. A slot for shoes, a slot for socks that can potentially be knee high. A slot for hands so we can have gloves or rings. A slot for the head so we can wear crowns or hats with any face or outfit we want. A slot for the back so we can have capes/cloaks/jackets. An upper torso slot for shirts and a lower torso slot for pants/skirts. Slots for earrings, and whatever else they can thing of.
Half the fun of a game is customization!

If you think I'm frustrated, I'm telling you you're wrong! in fact I'm saying it was toxic ... the fact that I wasted 5 cakes leaving everyone on the ground to bleed, it has nothing to do with 4k ... it only made 4 people bleed! I shared on the forum to get opinions and understand how the dbd community thinks.
I say you're frustrated because you not only took the time to come to the forums but are insulting the killer by calling them stupid when they didn't do anything stupid. Usually, when someone resorts to insults, it means they're frustrated/upset/angry at whoever they're insulting.
Yes, letting 4 people bleed to death can be considered toxic, but it isn't stupid. Nor is it stupid to not care about the cakes that the killers opponents have wasted, since not everyone plays for blood points.
This killer doesn't represent the community, everyone thinks differently and plays for different reasons/objectives. Some players like to play basement chest protector Bubba, others like to play boop the snoot Piggy and then you have the more common 4k at all costs killers and the less common 12 hook the survivors and the even less common tunnel and mori asap killers.
-
You must be frustrated at the very least since his actions caused you to come to the forums to post this.
It isn't stupidity or frustration for a killer to not want to farm or earn a lot of blood points, especially with how easy it is for killers to earn them with BBQ. It's just some killers play to win and a 4k in their eyes is a win, not blood point amount.
I will say if he intentionally left you all to bleed out, then that was a little toxic.
-
BBQ is a fair perk. You can counter it by getting close to the killer the moment he downs someone, since he can't see you if you're within his terror radius, get in a locker as you said, or hide behind a gen. You also have the option to run in one direction when he hooks someone, then walk in the other direction when you know you're aura isn't being revealed any more.
It is actually one of the healthiest perks in the game since it promotes the killer to leave the hook and to allow your teammates to rescue and heal. It's better they use BBQ instead of replacing it with Make Your Choice, Infectious Fright or Devour Hope.
I don't understand why you think it is "stale", aren't chases what most survivors consider the most enjoyable part of the game? BBQ gives that to you while also giving you time to make it to a loop before the killer gets to you.

Yeah it's quite sad really. I also hear people saying that people don't want Wraith nerfed because they're killer mains that don't want him nerfed or whatever. The mentality of these people.
I wonder how much whining there will be when Trapper finally gets his long awaited buff (He better get one Devs, or I will riot!!!). Heck, I bet if they just let him start with an extra trap, people will whine.
-
@glitchboi said:
Instead of blaming themselves, they lash out on the Wraith.
Isn't that the case with every complaint? Rather than acknowledging that perhaps they are the problem, they must blame everything else and label it unfun, boring, scummy and OP. And don't forget, they have to accuse anyone who disagrees as a killer main even though most people play both roles?

Half the price? I'd sell them for something as small as10%! Because I'm never gonna use them anyway, selling them would be awesome.
We're supposed to ask for more and then negotiate a lower amount 😐️
-
Just let us sell back items and offerings that we don't want at half price. That would be enough. I have like 150 keys and 150 maps that I will never use unless I need them for a challenge. Don't get me started on the broken key or the stupid Stode Key that I keep getting on my killer in every other blood web.

"I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters."- That would be a lot of work just for an event that only lasts a couple of weeks (could cause balance issues as well) and could you imagine the amount of bugs that would bring? I'd love if they did a bit more for the anniversary events, but I just don't see it happening.
I mean, they promised that they'd stop doing the smaller events and focus their resources on the two main events. I don't think making the floor slippery or teleporting lockers would take too much work. I mean, they have killers that teleport, so it isn't far fetched.
They could also reuse the mechanics in the future, or add them into the core game if they get a good response. Events would be a good time to experiment with new things that may or may not work and not get too much of a back lash.
-
You're just being paranoid. I don't think the devs have it in them to make an algorithm that advanced seeing how bad their matchmaking system is.
-
Getting burned out is a natural part of gaming and yes, it is a bit disappointing that they really didn't do much for the anniversary. I was really hoping that they'd go all out like they promised and wow us, but unfortunately, we got the bare minimum. I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters.
At least this game allows you to pick it up and go and when you come back, you can just resume playing again. This way, you can go play something like Civilization, take a breather, and come back refreshed.
-
It's not surprising, most people like playing as attractive characters.

If you as a killer, get crapped on all game, and decide "Hey, I'm going to camp this 1 survior because I need at least 1 kill" maybe you should play another game around yoru skill level. Peharps Minecraft?
If you, as a survivor, can't handle end game camping, perhaps you should find a new game. It seems like you made this thread just to crap on killers because they did something that you don't like, even though it is sanctioned by the creators of the game. Camping does not mean unskilled, especially in this game.
Camping during end game is the best choice for the killer as long as they're not a high mobility killer with the ability to quickly down someone. Not everyone plays Nurse, Blight or Billy. With the many large maps, pallet cities like The Game, and Prove Thyself, multiple tool boxes, and brand new parts, it's near impossible to not camp, proxy camp or slug unless you're a top tier killer.
Maybe next time, you or whoever got hooked during endgame should learn to loop or stealth better. No one is entitled to escape just because they were able to M1 for most of the match.

This is a lie. The snoot is a powerful tool that Pig has to lure survivors to their doom. You first need to have the survivor lower their guard by repeatedly purring at them, then angle your snoot so the light can bounce off at an extremely flattering angle and you will easily ensnare your prey.

I have been ;-;
They hit me, i nod. They start on a gen next to me. I wait then grab one to hook then its all downhill from there.
Hook them, stand a few feet away from the hook and when you see someone coming for the rescue, nod at them. If they don't listen, swing your weapon in the direction of the hook and nod some more. Not everyone gets it, but many usually do.
There are those that won't listen because they don't like farming, so don't expect it to work all the time. Also, with the Resident Evil chapter, we've had an influx of new players, so lots of them wouldn't know about farming.
When people do want to farm, try not to hook every one at the same hook. Move away when you hook them, and motion for them to follow after they rescue so you can get in a new chase and have more points. Damage generators and destroy pallets after you let them pallet stun you too, and then hook the next person. Don't hook the same person twice in a row at the same hook, cycle through the survivors for more points.

Yeah because most killers give up when they get it and afk even at red ranks. Once you lose that center gen in the lobby the game is essentially over because patrolling other gens is awful.
Imo BHVR should have split the map into 2-3 realms including slightly more areas on the third floor but having each zone be the West and East Wing.
Is it sad I didn't even realize there is a third floor?

Fully agree - but just a nitpick, Iridescent Head isn't OP anymore. Only has one hatchet now so the Huntress can't snowball and isn't allowed to miss, which you can play around. If they miss the hatchet you pretty much win the chase because they either continue chasing as a powerless 4.4m/s, or they have to go to a locker and reload and that gives you so much time to make distance the chase is essentially over.
I'd argue the new Iridescent Head + Infantry Belt combo is Trickster's piercing and explosive knife addon combo.
It's not OP against good survivors, but against a bunch of obvious solo potatoes(majority of players), it is. And when solo potatoes see that Iridescent Head is equipped and the Killer is tunneling from the start, the killer has no right to complain. But yes, I agree with you in that it's not as broken as it was before.
-
@Rivyn said:
My issue with immersive survivors is they can force the very behaviors most survivors despise. If somebody is unhooked, yet the savior goes stealth mode and leaves the rescue on their own, it doesn't give me any other option BUT to tunnel. If the team is being immersive, and I finally hook somebody, do I continue spending ten minutes looking for people that don't want to be found, or hang around the hook in the hopes of spotting somebody else?
Then there are the survivors that are so immersive, they hold the game hostage. That's another matter entirely.
That's a different type of immersive and you're justified to tunnel and camp in that situation.

Thank you so much, my friend. It warms my heart to read this.
Though I eventually started favouring Quentin, Claudette was my main for a very long time. Back when DBD provided me with a level of enjoyment that no other game could, she was always there for my Survivor trials.
I really love her.
I love her too! Of all of the video games I have played in my life, she is my favorite character. I've never liked anyone from any game as much as I like her. I tried to play others but something about her just pulls me back to her.
I'm sorry you're no longer enjoying the game. I'm kind of there with you, and it's not just burn out. I really hope the Devs do something to breathe new life into the game and take some risks, and not just the stale old killer release every three months with rehashed powers. At the very least, I hope they give players the option to play Old Freddy so you can stick around a little longer.

@IronKnight55 said:

I still consider it a jerk move. Especially at the beginning of the game. Why not punish the un hooker instead of rewarding him? This is exactly what I do when I play killer. You can usually down the unhooker pretty quick instead of punishing the survivor that didn't do anything and just got screwed. I'm not asking the devs to nerf things like that, but I don't have to like it either.
Thankfully, that is only your opinion and not a fact. No, you don't have to like tunneling, but trying to insult the killer and disparage them for making the best decision for the situation reeks of entitlement. Just because you make certain decisions doesn't mean others who don't play the same as you are bad or as you call them, jerks. Some people like to play competitively, and as such, will punish survivors for mistakes.
Why down the unhooker when they can down someone who is already down a hook state? To spare your feelings? Do you walk up to a gen that is 80% done and think to yourself, oh, the killer is clearly struggling due to the large size of the map, let me leave this gen alone and go work on one that has zero progress? No, you don't. It's the same thing.
