Pretty much. You can probably expect a lot of Starstruck, Haunted Grounds, anything that makes you slug fast and hard. It won't pay off if you can't get everyone on the ground in 45 seconds, but if you can, big results.
I think people will have to split up any time it's possible, like every game is Legion game :(:
-
Hopefully it doesn't impede on communication / flashlight blind adjustments.
-
I see the same thing when playing killer, sometimes having 2k hours survivors, sometimes 10 hours, and sometimes in the same lobby.
Queueing up as survivor this afternoon I was matched with a SWF with each several thousand hours, making me the Resident Baby(TM) with my 250h.
-
I'll do you one better, I had a trial this morning for the whole duration of which I was completely bamboozled.
It was against a Nemesis who used Shattered STARS Badge and Brian's Intestine, making his zombies periodically 185% faster than normal. I'd see them speeding up ridiculously and then have a "normal" speed (by comparison) when getting near me (Shattered badge running out), it threw me off so hard I started recording the game and kinda threw just following the zombies around to try and understand how their speeds worked.
I was full on investigating those addons haha !
-
That must have been one sneaky survivor ! Can't believe this perk is so underrated <3
(nice joke haha)
-
Not my cup of tea at all, but I trust anime fans to find cool characters, whether or not I think they'd fit in the game :)
-
I've had an entire evening of +50% killer the other day (EU).
As others have said, it's on the most needed role. Killer is an attractive role in and of itself, survivor needs a little convincing to have enough players.
-
4 skilled players do not make a bully squad ? A bully squad comes with the intention to make the game unpleasant to the killer. It comes with BM. Survivors outskilling the killer is no more bullying than a killer outskilling survivors.
!t's easy to feel insecure and humiliated when paired with people who are way out of your skill level, but it does not make them bullies. They're not responsible for matchmaking, unless they hacked their way into the killer's lobby.
-
- Talking in terms of tiers is extremely boring, especially if it's about things that are not yet live.
- Elite, pro DbD youtubers and players don't know much about the vast majority of the playerbase's experience. Their days of being casual / beginner are long behind them, back in other updates with other metas, with different mechanics.

There's a solid chance if you're in NA I dc'd against you, I don't know why but recently I just can't care enough to play through a match against Legion, I know you probably have dailies to complete, but most Legions I play against just hit me once and deny me the ability to listen to their dope chase music.
I'm EU haha ! No hard feelings either way, I get that some people don't like their playstyle. It's a shame because they're comfortable to play and have cool cosmetics so there's a lot of them out there. I love playing as them and against them, but I know not everyone does :)
-
A Demo who DC'd because two survivors in the party had Balanced Landing... On Lery. The map where there is only one place you can use Balanced Landing !
A Meg who DC'd because I became friendly after another Meg DC'd because she was first downed.
And many many people DC'ing because I was playing Legion. :(
-
Who sows the wind reaps the storm, as they say here.
-
Maybe it's secretly a killer challenge ?
-
I'm sorry you're mostly going against camping Weskers ! :(
I haven't gone against that many Weskers since the first week of his release, but most of those I see are playing fair. I've even encountered a few friendly ones (none of whom wanted to yeet me at my friend, sadly...)
-
Though I think the killer should be fair so that no one's experience is ruined, I don't think the killer has to make the game fun for survivor.
That being said, I put comedy above efficiency as killer, so I will tend to :
Give them unsafe unhooks. If the person I'm chasing runs towards the hook to unhook before stage 2 because no one else did, I'll pause the chase a couple of meters from the hook and resume chasing the unhooker after they're done saving their friend.
Give them a second chance if they trapped themselves. I've seen my fair share of survivors hiding in a corner where I could get my first hit / down them for free, but I'll generally look at them for a second, walk back and gesture for them to run, give them a little chase.
I don't think everyone should play like this and I don't expect the same when I play survivor, I just think it's funny and I truly do not care if a couple more survivors escaped because I played a bit goofy. :)
-
I agree ! It can feel vey discouraging being in pipping/de-pippin hell, especially the closer you get to higher ranks where pipping is more difficult.
-
P66 Steve yesterday. Killer had a mori ready just for them :)
But it was quite weird having a P66 guy in a lobby with two P2 and one P4.
-
Any license that has nothing to do with horror in any way. DbD is not a horror game, but it's horror-themed, so seeing a character/killer from a random battle game or something would be very disappointing in my opinion.
-
I always thought Killers saw red auras for survivors/yellow for default map features
And survivors saw yellow auras for survivors and map features / pink for killer.
-
It counts "last surivor" as the last survivor to be standing.
If another survivor is downed, or hooked, the hatch will not spawn and you will still be able to mori.
-
Please ! I'd love to not have to waste 20 seconds looking behind which bush that Yui is.
I feel like there really isn't any strategic reason not to give this quality of life to killer. The perk on its own is useless right now.
If the perk was to be reworked with the new basekit UB, maybe it could give slightly faster bleeding out to downed survivors, that way if you're forced to slug that would reduce their possible base UBs from 5 to maybe 3.

Can we fix the map design that allow these things to happen?
Not necessarily. I'm not angry at Lery's bathroom stall. It's great for the ambient creepiness of the place. I'm angry at the person who chose to afk there just to annoy me.
-
I love current Wraith's appearance. I wouldn't want him to be changed D:

Should send them the screenshot from Mandy and here's one from Peanits saying it is considered reportable/bannable. Could be someone new that wasn't told about the different circumstances of body blocking.

Yeah, it does sound like maybe the customer service person didn’t read the after game chat where the other person admitted he was trying to make you disconnect. Bodyblocking with the intent of holding someone hostage to force them to disconnect is bannable according to the official FAQ and the devs quoted above.

Thank you for the resources !

There are probably people for whom some of the animation are uncomfortable to watch for any reason (emetophobic people with Plague for example), who would as well rather not see the mori animation.
-
I feel like no pallet, only windows would only be okay if it had strong loops, and windows can't be broken, so there would probably be near-infinites.
On the only argument that windows are not breakable or possible to waste, I'd say no pallet, only windows.

I reserve the right to complain as what I'm complaining about is not even those major changes, just that they removed the esthetics of Devour xD
No need to try it out to feel the loss haha...

I've played an RPD map 58 times (all 49 RPD offerings I had and 9 random RPD spawns) thus far and am at 18/20. Burning 46 RPD offerings in a row to try and get progress made me hate life and I haven't played DBD in almost a week as a result.
You are a true warrior. I could already barely stand 3 games in a row when it came out haha !
-
I always felt bad when accidentally tunneling, now I don't have to think about it.
-
According to the devs, the escape rate of swfs are only marginally better than solos in the vast, vast majority of cases.
Swfs are fine. Let people enjoy the game with their friends.
-
I wonder if all these bans are IP bans or if they're just account bans.
Not that I'm not ecstatic they're doing something about the cheating wave, but I wonder if those last week 2 000 bans are really that many cheaters or 50 times the same person each.

Yeah, I’ll miss multiple mori animation per match, but on the bright side at least you still get kills on first or second downs with 5 tokens. 🤷♂️
... :(
-
Interesting ! Thanks for sharing !
I'm so sad with the Devour Hope changes that were announced, the perk is kind of a fan-favorite and now it just won't have the same charm. :(
-
Interesting ! I love Third Seal ! It's very underrated. Blindness in general is quite underrated. For some reason, survivors rarely try and cleanse my totem because they think they can handle it fine... But it delays unhooks so much, counters WoO and Kindred and Alert, it's ridiculous :D

No one is playing Artist!? lol wonder why though, probably a popularity thing bc shes good, shes anti loop!

Yeah people really don't go against Twins. I run into them from time to time so they' re not on my list. Demigorgon would fall in right after the six i listed, quite rare to see him.
Blight though? People encounter Blight all the time and he's a top 2 killer so that's interesting. Must be a region thing or the times you specifically play.
Honestly it might be mmr. I started playing a few months ago but I'm still not very good, so I tend to go against less Nurses and Blights than other killers like Huntress, Legion, Doctor, Nemesis or Wraith.
I am definitely not complaining haha ! It's quite varied down here :)
-
Twins, Hag, Hillbilly, Demogorgon, Plague, Blight
-
All of those sound fun. I've only seen 4 Twins in 200h and one of them was glitched and couldn't move.
Hope we'll see more of them !
-
I mean according to them 1 hacker every 4 matches is "RARELY", so... Not surprised.
-
She looks like a Men in Black.
-
PREACH.
-
Sorry you're only seeing that :/
It might be an mmr bracket thing, where you're at a place where people are all sweats and salt ? I very rarely see such awful endgame chats as killer... I've met several friends that I swf with now by playing killer and bonding in the chat. Generally, in both roles, I tend have mostly nice chats.
If you need to recover some faith in survivors, here's our endgame chats yesterday. :)
(Both first killers in yellow, last in orange)
(Pig got a tight 2k after a very late first hook (almost 3 gens in), almost made a big comeback because we were dumb and trying to rescue)
(Doctor only got 2 hooks in the whole game, kinda gave up defending the gate in the end, 4E)
(Got 4K'ed by a Susie's Mixtape Legion)
Players being nice in endgame chat is a thing, it can just be quite rare sometimes :(
-
I don't. I don't care about winning as much as everyone having a normal experience. If the team is more coordinated than I can handle, then good on them. They outplayed me and deserve to win.

If there's a werewolf I'd like it to be Reverend Lowe from Stephen Kings Silver Bullet.
One of the first movies to give me nightmares 😫
The video is blocked in my country, but I trust you that it sounds interesting !
-
Photobombs were the best, especially on Ghostface's mori !
Now it will be generic animation you've seen on all maps. It will be beautiful the first handful of times but get stale afterwards.
-
I'm so mad about the change. I loved getting moris with Devour Hope. They took all that made it really special and now it's not only weaker but also less satisfying.
-

Rancor? Iconic???
Really strange today to see so many suddenly praising Rancor like it's some beloved fan-favorite. The Rancor mori is a virtually uncounterable FU that punishes a random Survivor for the crime of spawning into the match. It can go, no problem.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3201034#Comment_3201034
You say that as if the end game exposed+mori was Rancor's only effect.
I'm not saying iconic as in well-beloved or even much-used.
I'm saying iconic as in easily recognizable, with a strong identity. There are plenty of perks that are whatever, where you don't even bother to remember the effects because they're just forgettable.
The mori is a pretty big part of Rancor, that made it, if not widely feared, at least memorable.
-
@Zaika7182 said:
I think you should mori after 1-2 stacks
While I agree that's as far as the perk gets active most times, I think the stacks are fine hahaha
-
I can finally play Hag with Third Seal without feeling guilty when I teleport on reflex and let the person on the ground with all their teammates blind ! :D
