Blights skill ceiling is quite high, and the counterplay is just prethrowing pallets and camping them accordingly if he’s rushing and timing sliding back over the pallet for him to break the pallet instead of hitting the survivor as they’re vaulting over the same time he flicks. This is done in a lot in competitive play.
I will say this, compound 33, Alchemist ring, Compound 21 and Blighted Crow need to be nerfed. Those addons paired with slowdowns paired with a blight whose overcome the skill ceiling can be oppressive as hell even with a Swf. On maps like autohaven, Macmillans etc it’s hard to counter a good blight who brings all that. Chad blights will just run 1 perk either shadowborn or Agitation with Blighted rat and crow and that’s fine and fun for both sides..
Whats Momoseveniths blight win streak at now? 750 games in a row plus? 🤪
Momo’s streak is garbage lol. 95% of those wins were with the gen kick build + pain res and he HARD tunneled somebody out at 5 gens every singe game. Anybody decent with blight can hit a streak with that style of gameplay. Not impressed.
-
”it’s not 100% skill”
Please hop on blight and pull off an afk to 4k match using only the… “extra vision perk”
Considering you don’t know the name of that perk, lets me know you have low hours in the game. Which lets me know you probably have zero idea to blight’s counterplay.
Instead of making this post about blight being a waste of time to play against, how about actually LEARNING to counter him? 🤦🏻♂️
-
Nobody knows how to 99 a SB. It’s gonna be hilarious to watch all these survivors walking around.
-
I mostly agree with you, accept for adrenaline vile. I think adrenaline is fine as it is. There is less room for error with rushes considering you cannot turn much at all to correct yourself. Plus, flicks are super fun with AV. :)

Auto dh exist, and it's very common. I see you in like every post, and you defend only survs, so I'm pretty sure you're a surv main so probably you don't see it because you don't play killer that much (I don't want to argue with anybody, so don't take it as an insult). So, how do I know that autodh is very common? Because dh can be baited very easily. So what I do is basically be very near to the surv I'm chasing, so I don't have to slunge because slunge = enjoy dh, and I wait like a second or two. So, how is possible that EVERY surv I meet with dh can time it perfectly even in a situation like this? Now tell me, in a situation nearly impossible to understand when the killer is gonna attack, you time dh perfectly. Maybe one time, two times, but always? Nah bro, simply people doesn't notice it but if you watch really carefully you will see how many survs use autodh. Obviously, you need to play in high mmr, because as I will always say, cheaters and subtle cheaters are only in high/top mmr for obvious reasons.
Auto DH is not a common thing. I can’t remember the last time I’ve even been sus about an auto DH.
I run blight pretty much exclusively with a kill rate of above 85%, maybe even 90%+, so I would guess my MMR is up there. I never get survivors who I can’t bait a DH out of.
-
You forgot to mention that these killers also have the highest skill ceiling AND the steepest learning curve. It is not “easy mode”.
-
Jesus man, y’all can’t even let an update go through the PTB before complaining and going nuts. Just give it a chance.

I get that I totally do. But I’m not gonna record every match I play on the off chance that someone is cheating or breaking the rules. That’s an unfair burden especially when their reporting system has zero transparency anyway on whether or not a player was disciplined or banned.
Until BHVR takes actual steps to improve their reporting and transparency system Im not gonna put that burden on myself. It’s not my job.
Alo I’ve tried recording with OBS and it kept freezing up and wouldn’t record sound. I know how to play video games but I’m not a tech person that’s gonna take the time to troubleshoot and figure all that out, especially when I’m not a streamer.
Just use the Xbox game bar. You can record the last 30 seconds or 60 seconds at the click of a button. I’ve used it plenty of times to record cheaters.
-
If a team that should be an “easy 4 - man out” gets 4k’s because of NOED, that is y’all’s fault. Split up, and look for the hex that literally glows through walls….
another option.. throughout the game, cleanse all the dull totems and boom, no noed.

Post didn’t go the way you thought it would aye?

How are they doing that to the killers side? Skull Merchant got a whole buff. Survivors will literally be bots now who are just kill dolls. Come on bro. Y'all have NOED, devour and so many other perks like lethal persuer to have an advantage. We have nothing to counter that ######### since everything got nerfed to the ground because of killers whining.
Sooooo your arguement is we have two perks…. 1 that literally GLOWS and shows you how to get rid of it, and another than can be completely rid of in the first 15 seconds of the game?
Get over yourself.

Prime Us v. Them forum content.

I NEVER saw anybody try and burn Nurse. You cannot hardly call this a buff.

In the next mid chapter patch "blight nerf announced"
”Checkmate”
That would be truly unfortunate. 😂

@Tsulan said:
Killers struggled with gen defense, since all meta slowdown perks have been nuked. So in order to address this, they nerfed healing.
Now everyone will start to play without healing, like we did against Legion and Plague. Both killers are known for their exceptional high kill rate (oh wait...)
What could possibly go wrong?!
Can’t wait to play blight against survivors who are injured the whole game. GGEZ’s in the chat.
-
It all depends on how the other team (survivors) play. While I will play sweaty and play to win, I won’t BM and I’ll avoid tunneling/slugging. If they BM or play toxic, I’ll just tunnel one out of the game and ensure I get a 4k.
If they play clean, I’ll avoid tunneling and slugging as I see fit until it’s necessary to 3k, and I’ll typically let the best looper have hatch. Most of the time, the survivors I encounter enjoy playing against a sweaty blight.
-
There’s this awesome thing called choice.. if you like it, make the choice to buy it. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. :D Crazy concept innit?
-
No reason to take it to heart. Some people can’t stand the thought of losing, even if their opponent played well.
Don’t even sweat it. Just play however you want to play and have fun for yourself. I get hate ALL the time for being a super sweaty blight, but that’s how I have fun. I just hit a “ggez” and go next. Don’t give them the time of day.
-
Blight, oni, stranger things were my favorites.
Anything after project W is poop.
-
Oh man… 4.6 trickster would be a nightmare.
-
At 100% bonus on killer, I make double to triple what I make on survivor with bonus. It’s actually crazy.

yes i am being sincere i love a killer with this much variety...the player chooses what style to utilize and the skull merchant offers that variety (more than the knight in many instances).
would you rather have another killer with harder counter play like the nurse? or another antiloop/ranged killer?
once gen kicking regression is nerfed (just wait) you might not hate her as much
very easy to have a devour hope guarded by drones or even a blood favor for a hex/chase build and you underestimate how many people go back for their items (played enough hag matches where the gameplay is the same and you just trap the item)
Yes, I precisely want another chase killer. SM sucks
-
Nah, it’s important to have strong killers and weaker killers. It makes the game more interesting. It’s a lot more rewarding to 4k a sweaty team with trapper or pig than to 4k them with nurse or blight.

no it is 30.77. you have to pay attention to the wording.
The perk does not say reduce recovery time by 30%. It increases recovery time by 30%. The math is not 30*0.3 = 12; 40-12 = 28. It is 40/1.3. 40/1.3 = 30.77.
Fair enough

I prefer characters that let me be creative with my power and play it a bunch of different ways. Characters that just do one thing aren't that interesting to me.
The other thing is I've never liked playing high tier characters in any game because it makes it feel empty when I win because it feels like I'm supposed to win if I'm playing that character competently at all. I enjoy the problem solving that goes into making weaker characters work because it makes it feel like more of an accomplishment when I win.
That’s is fair enough, I respect it

Yes. I did.
Again, it is faster to not tolerate the circle jerk than it is to go to each exit and walk in the center of it.

I'm happy for you over literal hours of your life not being wasted by survivor mains.
Fyi, you DC’ing drives them even more to do it. They thrive off making killers dc.

Butt dancing in the exit is so goofy. 😂JUST. WALK. OUT.
It is seriously as easy as that. If you're so stubborn about gloating only when you're in a position where you cannot possibly lose, then take a screen shot and spend those 2 minutes posting it on Twitter instead.
I only teabag exit gate if killer was toxic.. but I’m a killer main so I don’t play survivor much. Teabgging the exit gate does not bother me at all. I walk in, they leave, I go next. It’s that simple.
-

No, you're right, I should just walk into the circle jerk so I have an excuse to take a shower and wash my clothes of disgusting unspeakables.
I'm sorry, why the ######### is it my job to make you win?
It’s your job to stop them from winning, which obviously you failed to do if they are teabagging in the gate.
Magically… if you walk into the gate, survivors will walk out and end the game… crazy concept innit?

Skull merchant S tier and blight F tier is crazy to me. 🤯

Disconnecting during the EGC is so goofy. 😂 JUST. PUSH. THEM. OUT.
It is seriously as easy as that. If you’re so easily triggered by them indulging in their victory over you, then don’t play PVP games.

you don't get to choose your killer in comp every time, often the setups are determined, Billy is fairly often played even now. There are still Billys who destroy good loopers on classic 1v1 maps, watch some tourneys.
And no, Blight doesn't have counterplay once a Blight doesn't make mistakes (bump logic) and knows all the techs. I've played comp for a year and played against god-Blights and even they told me there is not much you can do if you're not near a good window or pallets.
I’ve played against solid billies, p100 billies, who could get maybe 2 hooks before 5 gens were done. As of many many months, I have not played a Billy that has “destroyed” us.
And if you truly believe blight has no counterplay, then you’re simply not as good as you think you are. Do you know how to crouch tech a blight? Or use collision to “catch” a blight? Do you know which tiles have unreliable surrounding collision that turn blight into an m1 killer? Do you know the direction to play certain tiles to negate a hug tech? Do you know how to counter a hug tech? I can keep going. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve met survivors that know all of these things, and they gave me damn good chases. A full team of them put an end to my winstreak.

I have watched a stupid amount of lilith and when I watch him go for max range 90's I am still impressed in the confidence behind them. Too many times I find myself thinking I would have bumped again and knowing I may not have got the hit because of the safety in my own plays.
I started just going for those same hits rather than using another rush. If I miss, I miss. But I’ve been hitting almost everything.
-
Blight - pain res, DMS, BBQ, shadowborn
Wesker - pain res, brutal strength, CoB, agitation
Nurse - CoB, nowhere to hide, pain res, lethal
Clown - Cob, nowhere to hide, STBFL, brutal strength
Oni - brutal strength, pain res, monitor and abuse, infectious
spirit - STBFL, pain res, brutal, CoB or stridor
Here’s a couple that I use regularly

Counterpoint: wanna try to do a match in the new red forest without that tech? I can assure you that you will suffer because you won't even be able to bump as you want due to the awful object's hitboxes
Counterpoint: you can’t even hug tech on red forest in 90% of the map. I HAVE to rely on simple bump logic. “I can assure you will suffer”…. Yea, that’s kind of the point of the post I just made a day ago. The map sucks. 😂

There’s 3 p100’s in our SWF and we get dodged quite a few times. Upwards of 6-7 dodges sometimes before we get a killer that sticks.
The skill of the killer when this happens is usually not on the same level as our team and it can be a bit unfun.
-
@Ayodam said:
The Red Forest maps are good for Ghostface, Wraith, Dredge, Sadako, Pinhead, Trapper, Hag, Nurse, and like a handful of other killers. And it doesn’t render any killer’s power useless, although some killers will have an easier time scoring downs here than others. But tbh that’s true of every map and every killer.
I don’t personally think it’s great for Blight but Blight is such a great killer he doesn’t really care about one map that really isn’t going to affect his kill rate. Which is over 60%. If you’re that upset with it take survivors to Midwich or Dead Dawg. :) Blight and every other killer does wonderfully there.
I would argue it’s not, simply for its size and problematic main.
But I’m not upset about it, the map sucks for me but it’s just a game lol. I still win more than enough games.
-
@Foxy_Teltac said:
The new Red Forest and new Shelter Woods are literally the worst maps for killers like Blight, Wesker and Huntress but are almost god tier for M1 killers becuase there's so much in the way of vision that killers like Legion almost get a free stealth perk
Yea I guess I could see that. Throw on monitor and abuse or another stealthier perk.. could work great. I’ll have to try ghostface out on red forest.
its still a massive map although, and the main building is stupidly broken.

To be honest both should be looked at imo... But then again, blight would become a b tier killer at best if you remove that "tech" (but still I personally agree to fix both things once and for all if this means a more healthy gameplay)
False lol. It will simply force blight mains to strictly use bump logic, which is stronger than going for hugtechs.

yeah sure thats literally why in comp i see good billys quite oftenly getting 4ks in gas heaven and wreckerds yards but whatever suits your narrative pal.
and im quite good as survivor not gonna lie, i didnt say i cant play against him (again reading comprehension problems) i said he is not fun to play against not that is impossible, he never was fun especially when he brngs the dumb addons he always brings to the game that i dont even understand why they werent nerfed yet after years of being that dumb.
Billy in comp?😂😂 Maybe back in the day.
1) Good survivors know Blight has a ton of counterplay.
2) My reading comprehension? Dude… look at your composition. 😂

??? there are many killers that arent m1 and still u can play around his power billy is the one that literally comes to my mind, i just had a run on wreckerds yards yesterday, he was really good, we got to 2 v 1 and a friend did 2 gens in that chase, high risk high reward he had engravings, if u play poorly u die but there is counterplay, the counterplay agaisnt a good blight is literally not playing DBD as survivor, the other one taht also comes to my mind is Wesker with his very capable anti loop but with counterplay, also Demo... thats the reason why i dont find him fun (unless he is not using any addons, then he becomes quite bearable but who plays blight without addons? that doesnt exist), i dont have fun agaisnt killers i only can W till i die or insta pre drop, boring AF, lame AF thats why i said what i said u may not agree wich is fine if u have fun at playing surv by just insta pre drop (if u even play surv at all) good for u i dont and most survivors dont either.- so anything that affects blight performance im happy with.-
Billy is such a meme killer now lmao. EZ chases all day even if they are good at Billy. Blight has tons of counterplay and if you don’t want to believe so, you’re probably just not as great as you may think you are, and I have no more reason to continue this conversation. Good day sir

you're unwilling to accept that a good blight can only be stopped by pallets (or very, very bad maps), there is no counterplay against a good blight once you run out of pallets.
There is. It’s all about positioning.
