It's possible their just being contrary, but, if like me, I used to love this game and played it a ton. The changes have made the current game much less fun and driven my play hours into the ditch. I used to average close to 20 hours a week, now its 1 hour a week max.

I love the game more than I ever have before honestly. I kinda miss the old animations and art sometimes but that’s it. I’d much rather be playing current DBD. I play 30 hours a week for years now and it’s better than ever imo. People have different opinions but I think it’s wrong to try to convince everyone else the game is bad.

It's never enough is it? Lets push those kill rates to 70%!

Honestly that would be cool. Jason had a 90% kill rate in Friday and people loved being counselors in that game so why not bump the kill rates up to 70%?

The statement is flawed in the following way. The kill rates for the large pool of players ARE hitting their targets more or less, but individuals players don't care above the averages. If you as a individual are constantly getting seal team 6 survivors as a mid skill level killer the game is NOT fun, and the same is true if you play survivor but constantly get potato team mates or sweat lord killers. These individual experiences are not enough to sway the averages but those experiences are real.

As an aside, the playerbase should be more empathic and listen to the issues to understand them not listen enough to pounce on the poster providing feedback.

Id be more inclined to agree with you if this whole post wasn’t designed to just be a “Who else hates DBD?” Post on DBD’s own website. If you don’t like the game then don’t play it. But instead they go onto the forums and tell everybody they hate it and are trying to rally people to hate on the game as well. This whole post is very insidious tbh so empathy isn’t really necessary.

Doesn’t anyone else think it’s really interesting that, for the most part, it’s killer-mains complaining about survivors quitting instead of survivor mains complaining about it.

I think this is very telling. Survivor mains seem to be way more understanding about survivors quitting even though it affects survivors way more than killers.

I honestly don’t care at all if survivors DC tbh. Sometimes they DC and I laugh because it’s sad why they left but sometimes I’d dc if I was them too. I just feel bad for the other survivors in the lobby who aren’t throwing a temper tantrum because things aren’t going there way. They just want to play DBD and can’t because there team mates are throwing a fit. That’s why I main killer, survivors are way too wishy washy; dc’ing at the slightest inconvenience.

It’s overtuned because it can block 4 killer perks at once.

It takes four to block those perks, not one and it can only do so because all those perks share the same function. Forced Penance can block 16 perks, is that overtuned too?

I’m tired of people complaining about 4 slowdowns and when I use a full aura read build to spare them from 4 slowdowns I get punished heavily if even 2 survivors have distortion.

    A) You have options beyond ALL slowdown and ALL aura reading.

    B) You hardly get punished it seems, considering you wiped the floor with them.

What you're overall suggesting is to give a nerf to a perk that is, categorically, not OP, because your wonk build got countered. If that's the case, I want to be able to heal through broken if I have four healing perks.

No survivors bring 4 healing perks because an exhaustion perk is must run, so FP will not counter an entire survivors build. You can use your 4 healing perks on other survivors as well so again it’s not a counter.

Forced Penance applies to ONE of FOUR survivors at a time and goes on cooldown for 80 seconds which of why it’s garbage. Meanwhile Distortion is applied to the only killer and applies to all 4 perks. Also yes it takes 4 tokens (not really cuz lockers) but it’s ONE perk that counters 4 at ONCE. Not just 4 in general because every perk counters multiple. I’m talking FOUR of the exact same at ONCE.

Not only that but 4 KILLER perks. Killer perks should not be so easily countered because they are the killer after all. One killer perk countering 4 survivor perks would be far more reasonable than the other way around.

ONE PERK should NOT COUNTER FOUR

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/A0I1656Y3QO0/image.png

^ This perk counters more or less:

    • Sprint Burst - hard counter,
    • Lithe - hard counter,
    • Dead Hard - hard counter,
    • Background Player - hard counter,
    • Balanced Landing - hard counter,
    • Dramaturgy - hard counter,
    • Head On - hard counter,
    • Iron Will - hard counter,
    • Overcome - hard counter,
    • Smash Hit - hard counter,
    • Bond - hard counter,
    • Aftercare - hard counter,
    • Alert - hard counter,
    • Any Means Necessary - soft counter, survivors won't see the pallets,
    • Better Together - hard counter,
    • Blood Pact - hard counter,
    • Circle of Healing - soft counter, survivors won't see injured survivors,
    • Deja Vu - soft counter, survivors won't see other gens,
    • Detective's Hunch - hard counter,
    • Empathy - hard counter,
    • Fogwise - hard counter,
    • Inner Focus - hard counter,
    • Kindred - hard counter,
    • Object of Obsession - makes this perk only give value to killer,
    • Open-Minded - hard counter
    • Plunderer - hard counter
    • Rookie Spirit - hard counter
    • Samoteur - soft counter, won't see hooks,
    • Windows of Opportunity - hard counter

No survivor runs 4 exhaustion perks at once so you can go ahead and remove all exhaustion perks except one.

As for all the other perks blindness wears off in 5 seconds so you’ll get all of your aura reading back before the killer even gets to you. So it doesn’t counter any of them except

So no Fearmonger doesn’t counter 4 survivor perks at once. Distortion completely negates 4 aura reading perks to where you get zero value. Meanwhile Fearmonger negates 5 seconds of aura reading 99% of which perks last either A much longer than 5 seconds or B the blindness will have worn off by the time you use it.

You haven't shown how it's overtuned, though. You've only shown that it's trivial to overcome, which is kinda the opposite.

It’s overtuned because it can block 4 killer perks at once. Almost No other killer perks can be blocked at all. Distortion should definitely exist but it does not need 10 seconds of aura read negation. 10 seconds is overturned because 6 seconds still blocks every aura read except a few. Either that or leave it at 10 seconds and make survivors unable to see how many tokens they have so they can’t figure out the killers build and hide in lockers. You can just have it lit up when you have stacks and dark when it’s empty.

Distortion currently can: Block 4 Killer perks at once, tell you exactly what perks the killer has, tell you what add ons the killer has, hides scratch marks and pools of blood for 10 seconds AND allows you to gain tokens IN CHASE (even pebble doesn’t recharge in chase and pebble is objectively weaker)

THAT is overtuned. I’m tired of people complaining about 4 slowdowns and when I use a full aura read build to spare them from 4 slowdowns I get punished heavily if even 2 survivors have distortion. There is no incentive to NOT use 4 slowdowns because they can’t be blocked, it’s guaranteed value and you don’t have to worry about a perk countering them.

  • @Firellius said:

Don’t listen to any of these survivors they are all very biased, distortion is WAAAAY overturned. ONE PERK should NOT COUNTER FOUR. I played against a 4 man distortion squad while I had 4 aura perks and after 9 hooks got ZERO AURA READS! Because distortion tells you exactly what perks the killer has and they hid in lockers whenever I hooked etc.

Sounds like lockers did most of the heavy lifting, huh?

It doesn’t matter at the end of the day. I still won my match because I tunneled and slugged at 5 gens. Me running zero slowdown because survivors hate it was a mercy and then you bring one perk that negates all 4 of mine. Mercy is dead.

'This perk is insanely OP, so I decided to just choose to win against it.'

Because apparently it's not overtuned enough to actually make a difference.

The lockers did do the heavy lifting so they can EASILY nerf it down to 6 seconds and it would change nothing except for giving 1 second aura reads here and there.

And your second point is irrelevant because no perks are good enough to stop a killer from winning if they tunnel someone out immediately. If distortion hits your aura for the whole game it still wouldn’t save them but is clearly overtuned. Just like MFT.

killer perks are supposed to be stronger. It’s 4 perks vs 16.

  • @OmegaXII said:

I knew Distortion is quite common nowadays, so that's why I also brought Gearhead to hopefully burn through all the stacks.

But guessed what, it was a map of Hawkins, and I only saw the Auras THREE TIMES in the entire game. Both of them were Claudette, so I was forced to tunnel her out.

So here comes the question. Isn't Distortion a little bit too strong? Three of my perks get denied by a single Survivor perk, just like that.

PS: I kinda hate slowdown perks, so I always go for perks that provide information. But if that information can be denied this easily, it really does make sense why every Killer goes for Slowdown perks :(

Edit: I got 4k because Survivors really didn't play well. This is the prove that I'm literally a trash Huntress.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LYHUBH94RQD6/image.png

I played against a 4 man distortion squad while I had 4 aura perks and after 9 hooks got ZERO AURA READS! Because distortion tells you exactly what perks the killer has and they hid in lockers whenever I hooked etc.

There are only TWO perks in the game where the aura read can consume two stacks and that’s Hex Retribution (15 seconds) of aura read after a hex is cleansed and bitter mumur, after the last gen is completed all survivors auras are revealed for 10 seconds (12 with lethal)

Distortion could have its aura read negation set to 6 seconds instead of 10 and it would still counter almost every single perk except when combined with lethal. Survivors will also say “if you don’t bring any aura reads, then I just have a wasted perk slot.” But if I bring full aura and you have distortion I have NONE.

And then they complain about 4 slowdown? Like HELLO!?! SLOWDOWN PERKS DON’T GET CANCELED BY ONE PERK! You don’t want me to use slowdown, you don’t want me to use aura so what should I use?!? Unrelenting? Is that okay?! Or should I just use zero perks? Should I even try to kill survivors? The truth is if there were no Gen slowdown perks or aura reading perks at all they would complain perks like bamboozle.

It doesn’t matter at the end of the day. I still won my match because I tunneled at 5 gens. Me running zero slowdown because survivors hate it was a mercy and then you bring one perk that negates all 4 of mine. Mercy is dead.

It's taking way too long to find lobbies even if there is 100% incentives, even on peak hours. I check steam charts and almost 20K less players since last month. I am spending more time in the lobby than in a match. Sometimes lobbies take a couple of minutes to fill.

No and stop saying that lol. We do this every single week and it’s old hat. This game is not dying, never has come even close to dying and will never die. I find matches in less than 30 seconds every single time as killer. No matter the blood point bonus or not. It’s region based.

  • I’m sorry but the reason for people giving up on my matches are simply because they are bad and want easy wins. I find a survivor crouched in a corner trying to avoid me in the first minute of the game and as soon as I hit them they DC; lmao, like what? The root cause of that is they got caught and got mad that they got caught. Simple. I’ve had survivors DC from Crossmaps, Orbitals, and failed saves. 9 times out of 10 they are mad because something didn’t go there way, and not because the game was unwinnable.

Some DCs have been reasonable like survivors looping me around the unhook before I ever got the chance to leave and I’m not gonna leave when I know a survivor is right there.

At the end of the day it’s usually entitlement or simply not wanting to go against certain killers. I’ve dc’ed frequently against Legion because how unbearable those matches are. So yes I am entitled because I don’t want to play against that boring af killer. But I accept what it is and don’t make excuses.

  • Huntress! I could honestly write a book on why so I’ll keep it short(er) Who doesn’t like throwing hatchets?

Best lore, design and power. Could easily have her own movie/ game/ franchise. And would be one of the most iconic slashers of all time and THE MOST ICONIC female slasher of all time (sorry not sorry Pamela Voorhees)

7’8” (234Cm) Russian Lady who is all muscle, Hunts, and sings to me while I play the game✅

Crossmaps, Orbitals, Double shots, gap shots and trick shots✅

Sound made when hitting a survivor with a hatchet 😫

    Insanely good voice acting✅

    Insane End Game Plays✅

    Best killer very much so🥰

I mean it should be a reasonably long amount of time, but you surely cant disagree that holding hatchet so the survivor cannot leave the loop and chase until you get a guaranteed hit is poor gameplay.

If she is holding a hatchet at a loop, just stay at the loop lol. You move over 20% faster so they will never hit you and you’ll never have to drop the pallet either. It may be boring but at least you’re guaranteed to get your team mates a win.

  • @C3Tooth said:

Uroboros effect needs to be instant work on hit. Change the 8% speed debuff to 15% Gen debuff

That’ll never happen. They took away Huntress’s add on that made gens 5% slower for 60 seconds because it was problematic. So I doubt they’ll ever do Gen slowdown outside of perks ever again.

Of course, all survivor perks that give any value are INSANE, yet perk that reveals all survivor location in terror radius by simply opening the locker is completely fine 🙃

I never said ultimate weapon wasn’t poorly designed and I think it did need a nerf. But the Full heal from adrenaline is good enough to be a perk on its own. It never needed a ridiculous 5 second sprint burst. And taking off an unhook was ridiculous as well. It literally punished the killer for hooking and rewarded slugging. The latter of which people are constantly crying about on these forums. It needed the nerf and at least it got a decent nerf.

  • @Junylar said:

Ah, the good old hatch standoffs 2.0. Nothing has changed about them since ever. Two survivors with some gens left, so 2escapes is impossible. At least one has to die. Both survivors know it and want to be the one having a chance to escape, so it's the pure 1v1v1 at its finest, as that end scene form The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. You will see it a lot, sometimes one of the survivors sells off the teammate to the killer, so the killer kills the other one and lets the rat out. Working with the killer by definition, but nobody cares and nothing will be done even if you report the rat. Sometimes the killer slugs one survivor, and the slug starts crawling to the other one, thus giving away his position, similar result but now you can't even report the rat, and the community here defends such behavior. Sometimes the killer hooks the sold out survivor and the rat will start spamming unhook indefinitely, making it impossible to leave the trial for the victim survivor. This 1v1v1 situation is the ugliest DbD can ever get, and yet the devs don't even care about it and don't intend to change it in any way, even though people keep complaining about it for years.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3710403#Comment_3710403

MMR aka Escape Based Matchmaking. If you die - you lose MMR and get matched with potato teammates. Hatch does not change MMR, but the other survivor could have Sole Survivor build and escape through the gates, thus getting +MMR and he will be matched with better teammates next time. It's just how it works with the current EBMM system for soloQ players who want better teammates: Sole Survivor meta.

There is statistically not a single person who uses sole survivor, let alone doing a gen and escaping through the gate. Everyone goes for hatch.

just bring Terminus or NoEd to counter Adrenaline

Ah yes, and how is Adrenaline? Still nerfed, kthxbye

Not nerfed enough, still an insane perk that people will still be crying about. And also how is Ultimate Weapon? I rest my case.

Each time you open a locker (…) any survivor entering (or already inside) your terror radius will have their position revealed to you

how about no? I wonder how killers played this game with Spies from the Shadows and Whispers, why now there have to be more and more perks that give insane value - reveal survivor location in terror (on high mobility killer it's absurd) for doing such hard tasks as opening the locker?

Survivors say "just bring Terminus or NoEd to counter Adrenaline."

So I say "Just bring distortion." It literally counters all aura read perks and even if they have 4 aura reading perks it counters all of them too. Because despite only having 3 tokens you can hide in a locker and save tokens since it tells you each perk the killer has.

I played a match with BBQ, Lethal, Gearhead and Nowhere to hide and didn't get a single aura read.

So first I will start odf as I play mostly survivor and never been much into the killer except to do challenges and try to get iridescent for the blood points. Now Im not saying I was great but I held my own. After this update it seems that things have changed. Like I said I was never great but I was never this bad. Seems like I can't hit the side of a barn. That and also I seen to not have any reach. Almost as if I have to be right on top of them to land a hit and even then a simple move and I'm missing. I've now gone games where I haven't downed one person. It just feels different and so far I haven't figured out why. I also wonder if I didn't move into a higher bracket but I can't see how as I rarely play killer. But literally everybody is looping me and making me look dumb. Again against extremely good people it's probably true but every group seems to be like that. And even when I went up against groups like that before I would at least get one person. Gonna keep practicing and like I said, survivor main really but I'm frustrated that it seems more difficult after the change. Settings maybe? Thoughts?

As this game gets older everyone gets better and if you hardly play killer you can expect to have a rough time when you try it out again after awhile. Changing your FOV to 103 will help against FOV techs from survivors. It depends on your killer too, if you're playing Trapper or someone super weak; games can be super brutal. I would bring corrupt intervention from plague if you have that perk. It blocking 3 gens till you get a down is really nice. But also there is lots of rubber banding right now which makes hitting people hard sometimes too.

Does balanced = fun? Do you think balance through nerfing is more fun than balance through buffing?

By your own admission, the game used to be way better for survivors, and they fell off hard, so what's a reason why survivors should continue to play?

Not trying to load these questions, but I'm genuinely curious because it seems like people imply survivors should be grateful they got kneecapped.

OP said “the game is the most unbalanced it’s ever been” which I’m just letting them know is factually wrong.

Balance through buffing would definitely be fun but not best because to counter what survivors had back in the day IE Insta blinds, instantly completing a gen, insta healing two entire health states in less than a second and Saboing EVERY HOOK PERMANENTLY except basement lol. You would have to give all killers the ability to insta kill survivors like the Tombstone add on for Meyers, get rid of hooking entirely, and some other things maybe.

If being extremely overpowered and being able to bully the killer without the slightest fear of dying is what was so fun then maybe it’s time to find a different game. Hot take I guess but winning every single game is not fun and I do like for my games to be close and let skill decide who wins.

I’ve said this countless times but I’ll say it again. In the Friday the 13th game Jason had a 80-90% kill rate, but it was like that from the beginning so everyone still loved to play the counselors even though they lost a lot. And when you did escape it felt very rewarding to get out. But DBD started insanely survivor sided, so naturally when they try to fix the game and make killers an ACTUAL THREAT like they were meant to be it was already too late and now even though survivors escape 40% of the time that’s not enough. I enjoy playing survivor as it is far more relaxed and I very often trade my life for a randoms because escaping isn’t fun. Going for fun or risky plays are.

  • @Tzimiscelord said:

    Or are they platform dependent?

I bought both as well but never merged accounts. Make sure you’re careful when you do it or else you might end up saving your new account over your old one and losing everything. Idk if DBD is like that but a few other games I played were like that and I lost everything.

  • @UndeddJester said:

I wanted to put this in an appropriate forum section... but doesn't feel right in off topic, and none of the other groups makes much sense either... so hopefully this thread doesn't get moved?

In any case, has anyone tried the board game for Dead By Daylight by Level 99 Games?

    https://www.level99store.com/products/dead-by-daylight-the-board-game?pt=pt1&pn=pn1

I've been pretty damned impressed with it, especially with how it is really quite easy to pick up and play, and that it captures the feel of DBD really nicely. It's also surprisingly fast to set up and games conclude fast, so it certainly doesn't overstay it's welcome.

I love the mind games on both sides trying to work out what everyone is gonna do and set your movement accordingly before seeing how everyone moves. Seeing the survivors stop in a space you've targetted and holding your poker face while they foolishly decide to try to work on the gen, before your devilish reveal of just how screwed they are. 😈🤘

Thus far I've played Trapper twice, Wraith and Hag... and I fondly remember the moment this game truly impressed me...

For context on my first Trapper game, I ran to a corner to try and defend a gen that summarily got crit repaired in my face... only for the game to spiral out of my hands, and it was only the end game where I locked down gates where I clawed it back, but still lost by a comfortable margin.

On my second game I said screw it to the outer gens, and gave up on them immediately, focusing instead on getting my traps all around the centre of the board.... and locking down and patrolling key paths... and God did that work so much better.... JUST LIKE THE REAL TRAPPER! I only lost after I managed to grab wounded survivors 3 times, only to flub my skill check roll over and over on a one move carry to hook (extremely unlucky, 1 in 186 of failing all 3!)... but any single success and victory was mine... it made for such intense end game... 😅

The fact the board game captured Trapper's game plan so perfectly, and how my other games as Wraith and Hag maintain the feel of those characters surprisingly well... I have to say I heartily recommend it... it's really cool, and I've been annoying my board games group everytime we meet by subtly hinting at throwing it out again xD

Sadly I missed the kickstarter and couldn't get the Collectors Edition. I watch the L99 Webstore constantly for new stock, but no avail thus far... hopefully the bring an expansion out with all the CE stuff at some point... but seriously, if you like board games give it a go... for £40-£50 it's a bargain!

I play it every once in a while while drinking with friends. It’s a very fun way to interact with DBD that’s not just the actual game. Still waiting for a Huntress movie tho 😩 🤞

This is literally the most balanced the game has ever been objectively and that can’t be argued. That’s probably why you don’t like it anymore, because all the ridiculously overpowered stuff is gone. This game used to be a survivors paradise back in the day lol.

  • @board24jason123 said:

a lot of people say survivors use decisive aggressively but what people don’t understand is that tunnel is tunnel you should know who you’ve already hooked and just because they hide in a locker you still choose to tunnel so I don’t see it as a big issue due to the fact the old ds the 3 sec stun was useless and now it’s buffer people already complaining?? Maybe stop tunneling and get good at the game?? Make it make sense

When survivors wear the same cosmetics and I don’t get to see there hook states it’s not up to me to figure out who I have and have not hooked. If someone unhooks you and I return to hook to see you work on a nearby Gen instead of taking the heal and I kill you, I did not tunnel in that scenario. There is a reason why DS deactivates when progressing the game.

lol thats one hell of a hot take, I think it was such a bad buff idea. I actually take it the other way and think they should add a maximum duration she can hold her hatchets. Holding hatchet just defeats the point of the whole gameplay loop that is enjoyable about huntress on both sides.

THATS the hottest take I’ve heard imo lol. Anybody who suggests she should have a holding limit fundamentally doesn’t understand her or her power. She moves 23% slower than survivors when holding allowing for massive distance gain by survivors so every time you ready up you are taking a chance at a huge waste of time. Not to mention she is 110% so catching up takes even longer if you accidentally hold too long which is a huge punishment. Not only that but she is one of two killers that have to reload so she has to make every shot count. On TOP of that she is a HUNTRESS, Hunters are patient and the key to being a good Hunter is such. If survivors knew you had to throw at a certain time it would be abysmally easy to dodge what’s already an easy to dodge ability at long range. There is a reason why she is in the bottom 3 for kill rates at ALL levels. Imma have to make a video about this lol, thanks for the idea.

I know in thr Forums, bad-mouthing BHVR will get posts taking down but this is a genuine concern, not bad-mouthing so before whoever take this down, hear me out.

BHVR never really cared about fixing things unless it brings them money. I mean, look at the Twins Rework. They did a terrible job at it and reverted everything about it. If it was so bad why didn't they, I dont know, push the update back to fix it? Well, its because in the same patch, they have the "new and improved store." Something that will bring them money. But instead of pushing the store back with the same update, they gotta make sure it gets released because "money."

Another example. Its funny how BVHR is nerfing/removing skill expression to cater to newer players such as stuff like Lightburn but all this does is 1. Ruin the game for veterans. 2. Strip away extra fun from the game and 3. Doesnt help newer players because they never even cared about skill expression at least where they are at this point.

You wanna know what will HELP newer players? Free banners, badges and cosmetics for prestige, updating their tutorial to be more inlined with the game they have now, increasing bloodpoint gain to help players prestige faster (along with iri shards) getting rid of SBMM, etc. All of these will help in the long run but due to how time costly it will be to implement these features, meaning theyll lose money in thr short term, they'll much rather remove advanced features because its "easier" and "Time/cost effecient." Goes to show that BHVR really only do things of quality when it comes to money.

It's sad how BHVR is only catering to things that matter because of money but in the long run, this will hurt their game massively, losing more money than they could ever gain doing this.

TLDR: BHVR only "fix" things in their game if it makes them money.

Talking poorly about Bhvr doesn’t get your posts taken down at all. 95% of the posts on this website is people crying about things and trashing the Devs. Honestly it’s exhausting how negative people can be on these forums.

  • I like Trickster because throwing a bunch of knives is fun. Clown arguably has better perks as Pop is a staple of most killer builds and bamboozle is really a must run on chainsaw killers. The Most fun killers for me are Huntress, Trickster, Blight and Wesker. Although Hunty has some of the worst perks in the game she is free lol. Trickster is pretty simple and has some fun add ons like Trickblades which can be very fun to use. Wesker has pretty bad pros too but using the virulent bounds to pick up and throw survivors is always fun. You could always use real money to buy the licensed characters because that’s the only way you can get them and just grind up for IRI shards to get the original killers for free.

  • People complain about the Huntress’s zoning ability when she was about to get a movement speed buff while completely ignoring the fact PP head is the champ of zoning. Moves 110 when holding, canceling has almost no downside, missing has almost no downside, survivors can never gain distance, and he completely shuts down windows and pallets even better than Huntress because you can’t crouch tech JoTD.

I mean there's not really a difference between him and other anti loop killers.

But he, Huntress, and alien are definitely the worst to play against and I honestly wouldn't mind all three being removed.

Why don’t you like going against Huntress? Is it because how easy she is to beat? She is in the bottom 3 of kill rates when it comes to top MMR according to Bhvrs stats so I could understand it being boring. She also has the most counter play by far so you don’t really have to worry about thinking too much either.

What if we had a killer that has the ability to upgrade any of its stats in a trial (lunge range, terror radius, cooldowns, etc) after a prerequisite has been filled for said upgrade?

I came up with a killer concept for the Ubermorph from Deadspace. Survivors get plasma cutters and whatever body part they shoot off it gets a buff. For example a survivor shoots the Ubermorphs head off and for 10 seconds the screen is black but it has killer instinct on all survivors for that time. Then when its head regenerates it has wall hacks for 60 seconds. You can shoot its arm off to rescue a survivor but when it regenerates it gains 8 stacks of STBFL for 60 seconds and so on. Shoot its leg off and it crawls slow for 10 seconds but gets 30% haste for 20 seconds. It would definitely be the number one most enjoyed killer on both sides I’m sure.

It isn't only you, it is taking long to find a lobby whether it is survivor or killer for at least 2-3 weeks now. I think a lot of people are quitting so the game feels quite dead. On steam charts thousands of people quitting, and I can feel the impact. I was just about to make a post now about this. Game is dying.

The game definitely isn’t dying lol. It takes me 20 seconds on average to find a killer match. Killers are probably taking a break because bugs/ DS. The amount of people trying to do the head on into flash bang into DS into flash bang combo is mind boggling.

the charms are pretty detailed and the colors were deliberately chosen, might as well do it accurately. It’s a very real issue to whitewash characters and should be pointed out - might be not malicious intent of the devs implementing it that way but especially then the devs will probably be happy to hear about the issue and correct it.

We all know Bhvr doesn’t do anything like that on purpose, they are pretty much a gold standard for diversity and inclusion. I just felt like a charm is inconsequential as it’s not like they are doing it to her actual model. I’m genuinely surprised people care about charms that much lol, I guess that’s why they are selling them now.

I was really disappointed by how much they lightened the skin tone on Claudette's and Jake's figurine charms in earlier rifts, but at least for a while they seemed to be doing better on this front, for example Gabriel's and Lyra siblings' figurines. So why does Zarina's figurine look so much paler than her model.

It’s a chibi esque charm, they probably aren’t that invested in the accuracy of something that is rarely seen. Huntress’s werewolf charm has super small eyes lol, I’m pretty sure they don’t really care that much about charms and are more focused on the gameplay / outfits

Are you more inclined towards being the type of player who equips perks geared towards prolonging your own survival when hunted by the Killer, or do you lean towards perks that enhance teamwork and aid in keeping your fellow survivors alive longer? Or maybe a healthy balance of both?

Moreover, would you consider it a victory if you successfully rescued another survivor from being sacrificed, even at the expense of your own life?

I always use healing speed perks because they are heavily underrated and very overpowered. Having multiple injured survivors is huge pressure and can easily lead to a snowball. But with we’ll make it I can reset the whole team in 32 seconds. I also bring pebble in case it’s a Huntress (which are very rare at my level) just so I can throw a pebble at them after they throw a hatchet at me. I only trade for a survivor in the end game if they looped the killer forever or really knocked out gens. However I do it less and less because how toxic my team mates are tea bagging at the gates and often I’ll try to sandbag them and get them killed. Which sometimes works and is very fun to do lol.

Yeah I'm gonna hard disagree on Xeno being weaker than Huntress. The only thing he doesn't have over her is cross-map hit potential, and even then that won't happen often with anyone paying attention.

Chucky can completely negate any gameplay the survivor does with scamper, while also being strong due to his size (and thus hard to react to). There's a reason he's A+. OVERALL he isn't OP but his design reeks of powercreep, where what's being crept are pallets vs. killer interactions.

Unknown is worse huntress? Lolwut. The killer is 115%, can hit multiple survivors at once and has the fastest teleport in the game.

You're overrating Huntress hard when she's arguably the weakest ranged killer in the game right now. At least when you've facing survivors of your skill level. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be the case for most of us.

OP has a point though, new killers are definitely strong and not intuitive to counter at all. That said, I wouldn't say they're overpowered.

Wow, somebody who is actually smart for once. She’s a good killer for sure at lower levels but when going against good survivors she is definitely one of the worst ranged killers hands down. The most map dependent out of them all as well. Punished for using you power, punished for being patient, punished for missing, punished the hardest for canceling your power, and punished for the maps you get. The only thing keeping her alive are the survivor hitboxes tbh.

that's barely a counter. I am wasting time vs decisive strike survivor while the survivor is acquiring generator progression. The second chance meta for survivor is borderline oppressive due to this decisive strike change.

It’s barely a counter yeah but it’s the only counter. Sooo… I guess a better solution is play pyramid head since he doesn’t have to worry about DS or Nurse maybe? Idk tbh. Knight works wonders cause you can do a gaurd before you pick up and the gaurd will insta down-them if they DS off

  • It should definitely go back to 200% It currently takes a Gen 6 consecutive minutes to go from 99 to 0. Literally kicking a Gen normally regresses it faster because it removes 5% immediately. The only thing it does is let you not have to kick it. Terrible hex perk; actually almost all hex perks are awful.

I just met this combo today, and I can’t say I’m feeling good for this.

This girl was using DS aggresively, and decide to follow me around when I chase other guy. Unfortunately I downed a survivor under pallet, and I saw her lurking around. When I get close, she just use Plot Twist.

Erm.. so what am I supposed to do here? Wait for 60 seconds?

You could just go back and pick up the guy under pallet because she can’t recover fast enough for the save. As for countering that combo just don’t pick them up and find someone else. I main Huntress though so I just pick them up and eat the sun and immediately down them anyways. I will always tunnel out survivors who use DS aggressively too. It’s literally a guilt free license to tunnel lol.

  • I’ll die on the hill that The Huntress should’ve kept her hatchet holding speed buff and they could’ve just reworked shiny pin. People blew it out of the water like it made her above Nurse or something when it really didn’t. It definitely made her stronger but not unbeatable. It honestly felt nice being able to use my power at small rock loops and not be forced to M1 nearly as often. Still the killer who is punished the most for using their power and even more so when missing.

  • @skylustv said:

BHVR literally did a pay to win skin. The new huntress lullaby is too low (turning her almost a STEALTH killer) and she doens't even make sound when wield the axe, you guys better fix this ASAP

It’s getting fixed but in the meantime nothing should really change, it’s not really THAT pay to win. She is a ranged killer and you should always be looking back at them. And she is also 7’8 and holds her hatchet at 8’8 so you can easily see her at essentially any loop in the game besides high walls. And you can still clearly hear the ready up when within 16 meters. I don’t even use the skin (even tho I bought it) because I just think she is more badass than the creature.

  • Gens are too slow if survivors don’t have any clue what they are doing. But if they all have some common sense gens are pretty fast. All survivors need is one good runner and the other three stick to separate gens. And as long as it’s not nurse or blight you can comfortably have three gens done by the first hook. It honestly blows my mind that survivors lose as much as they do. Every once in a while I get a really efficient team and I’ll have three hooks by the time all the gens were done, I actually had a team do all gens in 5 minutes and 30 seconds and I only had one minute and a half long chase at the start. I still killed them all because they couldn’t stand the thought of me getting a single kill and kept trying to rescue each other. But that match put into perspective if survivors actually stuck to gens and played smart they could easily win the majority of their matches when going against A tier or lower killers. Besides ones that prevent heals like plague.

  • He needs to stalk faster the further away he is. Not only does this make sense for actual stalking but removes the awkward gameplay of him running up to you and then starting at you. He shouldn’t run out of stalk either. Tier 1 does not need the moment speed penalty and should take 2 seconds to get out of. His tier 3 should be a button press instead of 99ing it. Tier 3 he should do EVERYTHING faster not just vaulting and bigger lunges. Get rid of tombstone piece but keep the full tombstone as is and let him Mori out of lockers. Even with those changes he would hardly be better. I think honestly he needs a secondary ability where he can catch a pallet to stop it from coming down and swing through it but not making it an insta down even when in tier 3 and obviously a pretty big cool down.

Please tell me yall are looking into fixing the readied hatchet audio for this skin. Atm it's pure pay to win. Even Otz made a video on it, and I've been seeing them left right and center now. Doesn't help that most of them are playing extra scummy with the added cheese. 3 of the games I've dealt with them have been pure slugging just to slug.

It’s been confirmed it’s a bug. There’s like 40 other posts in these forums about it

  • @kosaba11 said:

Is it just me, or is wiggling just kinda… pointless? Like, I'm pretty good at hitting the great checks, but it doesn't seem to matter. Unless the killer just absolutely messes up, or your team manages to body block, there's no escaping the killer's grasp, with or without Iron Grasp. At least in my experience. Doesn't matter how far I'm dragged across the map, the bar never fills up fast enough for me to get out.

I’m not sure you’re understanding what they are trying to say. It’s just a time limit , 16 seconds is all they get. So that way they can’t cross the entire map and put you in basement. Or make it to where they can’t get to a scourge hook. Wiggling absolutely puts pressure on the killer and if the survivors are smart and noticed you’re walking a far distance to a scourge hook and take a last second hit out sabo then you get out. You’re not really supposed to wiggle free ever otherwise why even bother hooking?

    • Title

Since we received DS buff, tunneling has decreased significantly (in my surv games). Killers still achieved good results but matches were more fun and "dynamic" for both sides.

    gg Devs

Note: I've never used DS since they buffed it

It’s already getting old with the amount of survivors using it as a weapon instead of defense. I can’t remember who I hooked when they are all playing sable. It needs to deactivate either on a full heal or when taking an endurance hit.

As this has been pointed out literally every single time this mechanic is ever mentioned in any capacity:

Anti face camping does not 'take care of hard camping'. It somewhat takes care of face camping if the killer face camps long enough to fill the meter, and does nothing against proxy camping.

So reassurance is absolutely a valid perk to combat camping in general.

Never said it wasn’t. They were essentially saying survivors had to pay for an anti camp perk because reassurance is a paid for perk. I told them they don’t need it because Deliverance is free and a much better anti camping perk. And yes I consider face camping hard camping and proxy camping as light camping. In my experience 9 times out of 10 if you get close enough to a proxy camping killer they will start chasing you and only go right back to the hook if the person is close to dying or you go to an insanely strong tile. But if you are willing to take a hit and go to a weaker tile they will stay and try to down you.

  • It’s a very meh perk tbh. NoEd is better in about every way.

    • Lullaby itself feels bit quite than usual.
    • He is overall quiet in general compare to Huntress.

With regular huntress you always clearly hear her from decent distance when she is ready her hatched. With this skin I can't even hear him like 10m+ standing away. I hope this is a bug or something.

Pay 20€ to get advantage on allready strong killer is not nice.
