Still sight does reveal killer auras at up to 18 meters and can be combines with open handed to be 34 Meters. It doesn't work while sitting on gens though thankfully or that would be insanely OP. And Bardic Inspo affects all survivors within 16 meters.
-
The sole survivor from fallout? Frank West from Dead Rising? Those are my guesses.

Maybe we should wait and see how it plays before coming to the conclusion that it's busted. Considering it's just aura reading of objectives, I don't think it sounds too crazy, even if it might make other perks irrelevant.
I am also not sure how survivor power creep is a thing in DBD.
It is in fact an aura read on killer as well, I just played the PTB. It’s 16 meters and can be combined with open handed to be 24 meters

Not having every killer instantly has already killed it for me, also if there's no killer to killer communication it could be bad and also they removed slugging, I love to slug so this is really really bad in my opinion.
Why do you even play this game? You said DnD looks mid and now 2v8 looks mid. You're very negative.

I miss cute outfits for killers. I understand it is a killer and a horror game but I bet it will be used. like legion has a cute outfit. and clown has a elephant outfit. so a cute pink hoodie for huntress is a yess for me. ^-^ ❤️
That would be awesome lol. I was really hoping for a dress for her for the gold and silk collection and something awesome for the anniversary :( Here's to hoping for something next year.

I play at 92 FOV and some of the stuns they get are insane. I think it has to do with their ping since mine is always around 30ms
-
Huntress is the most fun imo. Snipes, game shots, orbitals, arc shots, double taps and so on! I play her 24/7

Still not gonna be harley...
It really doesn’t, not overly denying it. If anything it just sounds like there trying to be a witch

The voice in that video sounds nothing like Harley at all. If anything it sounds like the “give me shiny” crows from dark souls

There should be a perk for it. Maybe a hex perk or something. As much as I think gates should regress base kit it would make remember me absolutely insane.

For huntress? I beg to differ lol, I think she's around the middle somewhere tbh. I haven't seen a bad huntress yet.
You don't see bad ones but you don't see many great ones either. There is a reason why she has the third lowest kill rate in the game at the top MMR AND 5th Lowest at General MMR, That's from the Dev stats themselves. People don't play her much at high MMR because while she is good, she has an insane amount of drawbacks. Idk if you ever watch comp DBD but almost every single time they play Huntress, they get absolutely destroyed.

just an idea here, what if hooks not only have the meter to help the survivor on hook , but also slow down the killers movement speed? Too many times have games been lost for survivors due to killers taking hostage for hook camping still. The meter doesn’t help much anymore. I think slowing the killers movement and hitting speed will reduce toxic gameplay. The longer the killer wants to camp, the more of a timer they will receive due to being around the hook for too long.
Camping so easy to beat it’s embarrassing people still lose to it. All 3 non hooked survivors stay on gens till the last second. Then one survivor trades while the others stay on gens. The injured survivor hops on gens farthest away. Repeat until you win the game. Each hook stage should give 40-50 seconds of progress (more with reassurance) That’s almost seven straight minutes of 2 people working on gens at any given moment.
-
Meanwhile I go on average 68 matches without seeing Huntress once and it’s very annoying. Just a bunch of Blights, Nurses, Weskers and Plagues. She has a 6% pick rate but I’m assuming that’s at low MMR.

To be fair I rarely see someone got downed with full infection. His chase power alone is already good, especially with his dash hugging, he doesnt need Hindered in chase. I think the status is rather a soft slowdown for him, where survivors have to run around getting Spray.
I dont play RE so I dont know if its lore accurate to actually make survivor hindered. I still think Gen debuff would make the gameplay wise better. Hindered only to ask Wesker to tunnel, if nerf enough to make him not tunnel. In about half the case infected survivor can do Gen at a corner before getting Spray which Wesker would benefit nothing about success an M2.
Lore accuracy would be the survivors dying violently and abruptly after being infected with the Uroborus virus. There would be no hinder, only dying.

why does Thwack require a hook and for a pallet to be down to get some aura reading when knowhere to hide just requires a gen kick. Idk
Thwack makes survivors scream, interrupting actions, denying distortion, potentially causing missed skill checks, has a 32 meter radius instead of 24 and has a fixed aura read.
meanwhile Nowhere to Hide, completely countered by distortion, 24 meter radius, requires a Gen kick, requires the killer to move in one direction to try and make the most use out of it, doesn’t cause screaming, doesn’t interrupt actions and can get anywhere from 6 to 1 second of aura reading. -
Here’s mine!

I don't think most people realize that BHVR's intention is to buff Killers basekit and make them more viable without depending on certain perks.
The maps are smaller than ever, loops are weaker than ever, Killers are stronger than ever, Survivor perks are weaker than ever… but somehow people still don't grasp the bigger picture and the only thing they see is "regression perks are slightly nerfed, it's over!"…
Playing Survivor has become a nightmare with most Killers just over-winning most of their games. The sense of progression is lost and trying to progress the game against perks like Pain Res + Pop + DMS + Grim Embrace is futile.
At this point it feels like you're going against Killer's gen perks and not the individual Killer. The Killer doesn't matter. Killer's skill or power doesn't matter. It's just about which perks they have.
I welcome these changes and think that they're healthy for the game and majority of the player base. I know there's the whole "but in high-MMR… but D tier Killers…" arguments but honestly I'm so tired of all these tiers and over-competitiveness sucking the fun out of this game.
Some people forget that both sides need to feel a sense of progression and fun for this game to function.
So it's interesting that people are surprised about the slight regression nerfs. It was obviously on its way.
I would agree except survivors are constantly crying any time a killer gets a slight buff. Like when Trickster and Huntress got a 1 second reload speed buff and everyone acted like it was the end of the world.
Or when they made Huntress 88% when holding a hatchet which was still insanely counterable and you were still forced to M1 as a 110 killer at 25% of all loops in the game. She needed that speed, shiny pin has an insane pick rate for a reason because 77% is too slow (slower than nurse) and outdated
It didn’t even go live because people cried so hard instead of trying to get better. They could’ve tested it on the live server and tracked the kill rate and make changes from there. But they didn’t even think about it, just an immediate revert; no toning it down, no tweaking it just immediately giving up on it. People want easy games. End of story.
-
People are going to play however they want to tbh. I think the better idea would be to look at why everyone feels the need to bring 4 slowdowns. I don't use any slowdowns at all myself and matches last on average 6-7 minutes tops. Also gen regression perks are guaranteed value as they cant be blocked. A lot of people just pick more slow down perks instead of aura perks because Distortion literally counters every single aura reading perk.
Ruin and Undying was the healthiest slowdown meta for the game because you could completely remove the killers regression if you found both totems. But they killed that off so now people are using things that cant be denied or countered at all.
-
150% sprint speed for 5 seconds and doesn’t cause exhaustion is insane and very great to negate slugging. This is a very good perk and has some wild synergy potential. I know it’s niche but for example if you pick up a survivor who has background player while a survivor is being picked up by the killer. The survivor you pick up off the ground will sprint at 250% for 5 seconds. That’s faster than Blights fastest speed.
-
If you like playing weak killers you’re going to have to find another way to have fun besides winning. It takes forever for things to change because they work on 4 chapters at once. Honestly the existence of Blight and Nurse kinda ruin the balance potential for all the other killers. That’s how it goes unfortunately.

Oh I know, I was meaning more in regards to close loops, keeping people at pallets instead of holding W away. Looking back I didn't make any mention of that... I thought it and didn't say it... thanks for the fact check 😅
Players who know what they're doing it won't work, but at lower levels people mind game themselves a lot 😁
It’s fine lol, I’m just constantly arguing with people all day who claim she takes “zero skill” like she isn’t the most heavily punished killer out of all killers for simply using her power. The fact that she moves 77% when holding still is insane to me tbh.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/413610/thoughts-on-a-basis-attack-only-huntress
My advice for console Huntress is you kinda want to play her like Alien or Pyramid Head.
Obviously going for shots when you can is worth it, just so Survivors know you will throw, but you mostly want to use mind games and play for Survivors being locked in animations such as vaulting a window or dropping a pallet, then you just hit with a hatchet.
Taking add-ons to improve windup/recovery are good for a console playstyle. If a survivor commits to the window you score the hit, if they don't you can try for the hit and if you miss recover for the m1.
Like PH you can also fake where you pull up the hatchet and as the survivor tries to juke, put the hatchet down and gain distance on them, condition them that you won't throw, then actually do throw when they don't expect to juke.
Doing this you can actually do pretty good as a console Huntress.
You can’t fake a hatchet to gain distance on a survivor. Pyramid Head can do that since he has almost zero punishment for using/ canceling his attack and he moves at 110 when holding his attack. Huntress moves at 77% when holding a hatchet and you lose a LOT of distance VERY quickly. It’s also a 2 second penalty for canceling a hatchet, AND the recovery time is TWO seconds lol. Which is insane, that means if you cancel a hatchet you have to wait 2 entire seconds before being able to swing on top of moving at 77%. Also they are playing on Switch not console, so it’s even harder.

2 of those brand new parts have zero effect on the game, so those doesnt matter. add the time you need to run to basement. while you can basically do a whole gen and are not one hit the entire match. its still a noob trap.
That’s not true at all because of the killer is defending a certain set of gens then it won’t be as big of a loss to switch gens. It’s actually huge for breaking 3 gens as well. Not to mention you can stack actual BNPs on top of it.

60 Seconds for 7 brand new parts is beyond a worthy time investment. Almost a whole Gen worth of progress that can’t be undone at all is crazy lol. You’ll see when the update goes live. I’m telling you it’s a great perk.

"Pain Ress is in 40% of loadouts…" (from dev update)
Yes, I wonder why? Maybe it is because gens are too fast without gen slowdown on any killer who isn't in the top 3.
Nerfing all gen slowdowns won't change the meta. People will still use Pop and Pain, Grim sometimes, Deadlock sometimes, etc. Because there is simply no other option if you want to win the game.
M2 Killers (Killers who use mainly their power to down Survivors) have it even worse because their build diversity is limited by many "with basic attack" perks making them only run slowdown or aura reading (usualy both).
What's worst is that killers who are allready strong won't be as much nerfed as the bottom line/mid line of killers.
Nerfing Deadlock on Nurse is no big deal but for someone like Trapper who needs every second it is.
Truth right here. I’m tired of perks being basic attack only. Can someone explain why Surge is basic attacks only? Gens are limited to 8 regression events anyways.
It’s rough being a Huntress main, can’t use exposure perks, can’t use stealth perks, can’t use basic attack perks, and haste perks aren’t as good compared to a 115 killer using them.

It's Crossplay so I play with all platforms. I didn't realize The Huntress had a huge Terror Radius.
She only has a 20 meter Terror Radius but her Lullaby is 45-50 meters and once they know you are an M1 Huntress they will treat it as a terror radius instead of sitting on gens watching for hatchets, that’s what they do against me whenever I try it. Just something to keep in mind. Just play a handful of matches and see how it goes before you make a decision. And RIP on the cross play, these PC players stay sweaty AF.

No keyboard support unfortunately.
My main is Freddy and I could get up to Iridescent II on the old de-pip system with him.
The only difference would be movement speed when comparing M1 Huntress to Freddy, correct?
Not only is Freddy faster but he also has dream snares that slow survivors by 15% for 3 seconds which is huge. Along with a smaller Terror radius (if we count hunty’s lullaby as a TR), being shorter in stature (making mind game easier, and being unelectable to asleep survivors. Those are the main differences but huge none the less.
I have no doubt you can get to IRI 1 while doing it but you’re definitely gonna have to get sweaty, well I guess it depends on what switch lobbies are like.

Do you think it's possible to be a good M1 Huntress? Especially once my Huntress MMR rises assuming I get some kills?
I know she has a slightly slower movement speed but I figure maybe the Batteries Included Perk could help me out?
Have you ever played against or as a Huntress that did not throw Hatchets?
Can you be a good M1 Huntress? Yes. Are you going to lose far more than any other killer in the game? Also yes.
I have a hundreds of hours on her alone and have played M1 Huntress countless times. Soldiers Putee will be a must run since it make you 115. Even then you are fighting a huge uphill battle as you’re essentially a M1 killer with a 45 meter terror radius.
My M1 Huntress build is Coupe De Grace, Bam, Pain and Pop. Because gens fly when you M1 only and when survivors find out you are M1 only they will W key like crazy and crush gens. But you’ll never be able to do good enough to go against very good survivors I don’t think you will have to worry too much about that.
Cool character, cool skins (I bought all of them lol) but very difficult to be an M1 killer. They don’t have any other type of controller support for switches? Or can you hook a keyboard up to it? -

BP is 5 seconds of 150% on a 20 second cooldown.
No it isn't, as to activate it, killer must pick up someone.
Irrelevant, it’s a 20 second cooldown. I would rather have a superior sprint burst that allows me to still run without activating it instead of having to walk the whole game to save SB. Or be exhausted for 40 seconds.
-
definitely doesn’t need the exhaustion reduction. Combined with vigil and you’ll have it every 16 seconds. Sprint burst is 3 seconds of 150% on a 40 second cooldown. BP is 5 seconds of 150% on a 20 second cooldown.

Is fair when a killer hooks a survivor then immediately runs to the opposite end of the map, looks at the wall, and waits for them to get unhooked and healed before they target someone else?
Don’t argue tbh, you’ll never win. I like your ideas tho, base kick should’ve always been 10% considering you’re giving up valuable time to start a Gen regressing that can be immediately stopped by a survivor hiding nearby while you take a chase.

killers cept nurse is faster than survivors anyways so nice attempt there. 103 is still lower than 110 115ms
Killers are SUPPOSED to be faster. It’s not like she’s 115. So a 3% hinder from her makes her 113 technically. So it’s still a double standard, survivors shouldn’t be faster at all except for a few exhaustion perks or other perks with heavy requirements. Besides going 100-103 when compared to 110 is a 30% increase and added 15 seconds to every chase. 6 chases per survivor times 4 survivors is a free 6 minutes added to killer chases. Actually insane tbh. And Adrenaline is still OP anyways.

BUT...okay, just wanted to say so before I get chewed up by all the Killer mains. I don't think the original Insta-Blinds should come back but rather a reworked version of such. You see, survivor items, such as Flashlights, have always been kinda...dull. And if not dull, not as useful but lets stick with dull. Besides the Lens Add-Ons creating the literal stick of heaven, flashlights don't have alot of variety. I think Insta-Blinds add that variety but lets discuss how to balance it properly.
You see, in a previous patch a few years ago, a Flashlight click buffer was added to stop flashlights from getting spammed to an oblivion. This already balances out Insta-Blinds to stop them from being spammable.
Second, I think Insta-Blinds should deplete very quickly. Maybe about 4 clicks a normal rare flashlights is how much use you can get. Even with a Battery Add-On, maybe it could add an extra charge or 2, meaning you couldn't use the Insta-Blind whenever you wanted or it will run out quickly.
"But what if they bring Built-To-Last and/or Streetwise?" Well, thats 2 perks dedicated to preserving a flashlight. Thats more of a lose for the survivor for not bringing more useful perks so I think this balances it out.
"What if a bunch of survivors bring a bunch to bully me?" People will always find ways to bully. Plus they would love the game and nearly all of their flashlight charges bullying you.
"But what if--" ssshhhhhh....what if I kidnapped your family--
Overall, I think survivor items should be reworked to have more variety and versitility and I think Insta-Blinds would be fun to use (maybe not for killer lol)
Thoughts?
Possibly the worst idea ever. Insta Blinds are not and will never be healthy. I would say you can bring insta blinds back if the survivor who blinds you becomes exposed for 60 seconds BASEKIT but even then that’s not big enough penalty. Flashlight saves already require zero skill, no need to make it even less.
-
I agree honestly, a killer can kick pallets when a survivor is using *any means* on it. Why shouldn’t the killer action have priority over survivors in every case?

Fixed an issue that caused the Huntress Inhuman Brute cosmetic sounds to be too low.Developer note, over two years ago:
We’ve seen some feedback concerning the volume of certain Survivors
compared to others, causing this perk to be less effective on Survivors
with louder grunts of pain. In a future update, we’ll be reviewing the
volume levels of each Survivor’s grunts to ensure that each of them can
make use of this perk. It's not hard. You have proven this. Why is this still not implemented. Is it really that hard to take a few hours out of making the store and skins prettier to equalize the audio in Audacity/Audition?
There is much more that goes into it than you know. Survivors have hundreds of different audio logs at different volumes that are interwoven into the games coding and a simple increase volume is not feasible. The Huntress/ killers are an exception because the unique skin has its own very small set of audio logs and is built off of newer easier to change coding. Granted I think two years is plenty of time lol but im saying it is FACTUALLY NOT easy.

When the match is down to just 2 survivors, SOME like to play hide and seek, prolonging the match for no reason at all and wasting everyones time.
If killers could just get a killer instinct "ping" on survivors every ~2 minutes, that has the easist reset timer. Whether it be being in chase, being near a hooked survivor, being near a downed survivor. Literally anything that isn't walking or using power or checking lockers would be so much healthier for the game.
Also I don't like saying this because I hope that this is a good enough idea that people already agree. Survivors got basekit BT, and a "decent" anti-camp feature. Features to improve the survivor experience against toxic killers, Killers on the secondhand should get ways to deal with toxic survivors.
That should definitely happen, it should be a 10 serving as reveal even when in a locker. They could fix toxicity on survivor side in other ways too. Like creating a Hex Perk that blocks the gates for the survivors who teabag at it. If they did that bagging at gates would be gone overnight lol
