A lot of ######### play this game and feel entitled.
I got called a trash tunneler for playing a Basement Build with Freddy, despite choosing to let someone go.

After thinking about it thoroughly I kinda want to say all exhaustion perks benefit different types of players.
Dead Hard for wall hugging pallet loopers
Balanced Landing for building loopers
Sprint Burst for structure routers (people who tend to skip a pallet and run away from loops unexpectedly after breaking line of sight)
Lithe for people who like ninja builds (lithe, dance with me, quick and quiet, lightweight)
Head On for meme gods
Personally I perform best with Sprint Burst. I've just had a 4 gen chase without a break AND escaped against a rank 3 Freddy (solo). That guy lost a rank because of that game and "reported me" without naming a reason. The salt was real.
Total chase time during that game was about 5 minutes. Craziest game I've had in a long time. I would like to upload that game on YT but don't want people to see my gamertag.
As I was complaining about Sprint Burst and defending Dead Hard I was coming to the same conclusion, they all benefit a particular play style. @TrueKn1ghtmar3 was defending SB like I was for DH and brought up a valid point about his preferred perk which basically says what you were saying Yamaoka, different Exhaust perks for different styles. Hmm, I can sense a video guide on Exhaustion perks coming, not from me though.

I get a losing streak whenever I get the Dailies for ''Open the Exit with'' or ''Escape with 1 new item'', those are bad Dailies spell tragedy for me so I try to get rid of them if possible.
-
Which console? I don't think it really matters platform wise they're all the same except for Nurse, the console can't handle her so she's weaker.
I always say pick someone with a playstyle you enjoy. If you like being sneaky pick Ghostface or Pig, if you enjoy chaos and discord pick Freddy, mind games then obviously Spirit.
But you need to buy Leatherface regardless for BBQ and Chili or getting Bloodpoints will take a lot longer.
-
I'll be very disappointed that I'm a Survivor, I'll constantly be hitting on Susie as she's chasing me. ''What do you mean you're not interested? You're chasing after me right now!''
When she slugs me on the floor and comes back to hook me, ''hey baby what took you so long? I smell cider on your clothes, where the ######### did you get cidah? You feel like having people for dinner? I hear Bubba makes good BBQ- OH #########!!'' Gets hooked in the Basement and slashed repeatedly because I won't stop telling her how sexy she is when she's mad. It's not the most ideal situation...but it's very entertaining, I'll be that Survivor that makes all Killers very uncomfortable, your classic 90's comedy relief #########.
-
@Raptorrotas That's a really cool idea, surprised it didn't get any comments. This kind of came true with Legion, the outfit and the dash plus the climbing over the ''waist high'' pallet.
-
Dead Hard has allowed me to loop the ######### out of Killers, hard. I loop them around a while and then get hit, now I'm looping and then Dead Hard into a pallet and stun them, now they have to chase me for a 3rd time to get me down.
In my eyes, Sprint Burst is the worst Exhaustion perk. All it does is give you a little bit of distance between you and the Killer before the chase actually starts, after that it is all you. Also it requires you to walk everywhere or use a second slot for Urban Evasion. I had a match with 3 Survivors with SB and I only noticed 1 of them had it because he was using it the smart way with waiting and then running. Another Survivor actually had Urban to go wit it but she was a stalker and could not keep her hands off me so wherever I went I saw her sneaking close by and smacked her, completely wasting her ability. Flashlights make Survivors weird.
-
@Raptorrotas Funny story, a few days before Legion was officially showcased I was watching a theory video of what Legion's power could be and in the comments someone said ''what if their power was to jump over pallets?'' I was the first to say it was overpowered and no way would it ever make it into the game, and then Legion was released XD
-
@Michael_Myers Ghostface plops Dwight on a hook in the Basement then puts his hands behind his head and starts twerking at him, ''you don't have to hide in a locker to watch me move, Dwight''.
Pig might need to stick to t-bagging, but then again, not everyone can twerk ;)
-
@ASAPTurtle We can still be friends XD But I'm not a toxic Survivor main like this post suggests though.
-
I 2nd this, all we really need is a DBD database that holds the general info of our profiles and then when we login on the other platform it's already there because it's a profile.
-
@se05239 This got me thinking about the hole in Badham in the school that has a pallet with no mind game. This Killer could beat that pallet.
I'm noticing a trend with S Tiers, they all have a speed/distance ability that lets them bypass pallets completely, it gets pretty stale that they all do the same thing.

I give it a toss up between Wraith and Spirit, Wraith always has the most unique cosmetics for some reason, I'm not sure why but the artists at BHVR just seem to have a field day when they get Wraith on their table lol
Spirit's disembodied parts floating is just really eerie and when she comes out of phase it is very jarring and I gasp most of the time. If they make the right cosmetic for her and not try to just make something rich and fashionable they can make some scary outfits for her. They need to take advantage of her unique physique.

I really like the perks
Extra Hands: So it sounds like the Survivor has to guess the correct color of the Skill check, I think this would only be strong if the color was different for every Survivor. That way it can't be nullified by SWF groups.
Cruel Punishment: In theory it sounds really good but if the numbers are too high it becomes too powerful. I think the time should 2 Tokens-5 seconds, 4 Tokens-10 seconds, 6 Tokens-Failed Skill Checks count as a kicked Gen. Failed Skill checks can happen quite often on some teams so if a Gen was perma blocked until another Gen was completed or until another Gen was perma blocked it could get too powerful. The idea behind this is that they've ######### up the Gens so bad that now when they fail a Skill Check it gets blocked for 10 seconds and REGRESSES for those 10 seconds.
Hex: Mischievous Torment: I think this could be changed to work like Thrill of The Hunt. What if when you work on a dull totem it makes you scream and reveal your location? You could pair this with NOED and could help you stop Survivors from cleansing all your totems. I only say this because if it makes Survivors scream when they just walk by then they know there's a dull totem there and will cleanse it for points and your perk gets progressively weaker as the match goes on. If it only works when they work on it then you can trick them into thinking you have NOED and they will try to push to get all the totems done before doing the last Gen.
-
@ASAPTurtle I doubt it's me, I really suck with staying in touch with people I care about lol my name is the same on PSN.
-
The only real problem with hook immunity is the auto-aim, a lot of times when you swing it forces you to hit the hooked Survivor even when you don't actually hit them. That needs to be fixed and I've had this happen many times, they did tweak with auto-aim recently so this is probably why it's gotten worse.
-
@ASAPTurtle PS4 until they create a cross platform profile :(
-
This particular obscure Killer has been mentioned several times and would be really cool.
-
Oh mine wasn't the only thread talking about this, was not aware, this thread has a lot of constructive criticism though.......weird.
Well since everyone is actually using their brain here I'll chime in.
An add-on making him completely invisible would be interesting, it can be another ''Ghost'' add-on since Ghost only has 1 while the other variants have several. Doing it this way means he has the invisibility but it doesn't actually change him in anyway. This could be the equivalent of Spirit's Prayer Beads, maybe another Purple?
-
@Ember_Hunter I try :D
-
An injured meg limps over to Kate who is gracefully repairing a generator and Meg turns her back towards her and twerks at Kate letting her know that she wants to be healed. But Kate ignores her because Meg refused to use her Sprint Burst to save her while she was on a hook earlier.
Nea twerks in the Clown's general direction with her booty shorts while she stands above the Hatch, Clown nods as she jumps in.
-
I hate these too, the ones I dread the most are ''open the Exit with'' and ''Escape with 1 new item'' every time I get those I die a little inside.
-
You just need practice, practice makes perfect. When Spirit first came out I thought she was crap and then she became one of the best, when Ghostface came out he was crap and now he is mediocre, shame they gave him that hotfix.
-
@AntiPlague12898 No, I was not camped by a Wraith recently and the only reason I made those other changes was to address possible imbalance issues. Did you read any of my other replies, at all? Did you see anywhere I said multiple times to instead of complaining, give a counter to say why that particular thing is bad and how to improve it? I don't think so because you missed every important thing I said.
I want to find a way to bring 100% invisibility to the Wraith and make him stronger but at the same time find a correct balance that the Survivors won't complain about. I want to find a way to make it work instead of crying like a little ######### that broke a nail.
If you think having complete invisibility and no TR is not too strong then say that, say that instead of ridiculing me because that's constructive criticism. If it is too strong then say that instead of making the issue aggressive and off topic, negativity on something honest is completely ######### and stupid.
-
You got unlucky, most Blood Warden plays are not that good, we hope we get games like yours. The more you play the less you'll see of that perk and the more ways you'll learn to counter it, such as opening the gate to 99% and only open it after the person is hooked.
-
@GrootDude Ah I see, makes sense, my version would take away his actual stealth mechanic. I actually only gave him the TR during Cloak to keep some form of balance, even OG Freddy had his lullaby for awake Survivors. Wraith with his Coxcombed clapper and Ghost add-ons gives him the best stealth but he still needs to hide behind a wall to make it completely perfect so I thought that if he didn't have to hide and just stand there to do it then Survivors might say he was OP. I personally don't think so myself, the bell itself is enough to let people know he's there.
-
@GrootDude Any particular reason why? I was trying to improve him but if you like the OG Wraith then I guess I'm missing something about him that I can't see.
-
@Brok3n Ah thanks :) I was trying to keep the basics of Legion that we love while also adding in that flavor of actually being a ''Legion''.
-
Some people in these forums are so blind, the Killers in this game have serious problems and many players just can't see it, profoundly annoying.
-
Easiest fix would be bring back their normal FF Speed and Vault speed, this means the duration would need to be set back to normal too but it won't matter because we ALWAYS needed the Duration add-ons but for different reasons. So now we have the normal fast Legion who is still exactly the same because the Deep Wounds effect was nerfed meaning no moon walking and lots of counter-play except now Legion is no longer crippled by their speed.
MY REWORK(getting way out of the box for fun)---Legion starts with NO TR and does not wear a mask. This allows them to get close to Survivors and then activate their 1 time use Legion ability that puts on their mask and takes out their weapon. From here Legion has the normal FF but NO DEEP WOUNDS, the first hit wounds them but hitting them again does nothing without add-ons and still cannot activate NOED(of course). After you hit a Survivor you see the Auras of Survivors in your TR, Legion can still Vault windows and pallets.
The difference now is that Legion can go into a locker and come out of another locker as another member who has not put on their mask yet, meaning they have no TR or weapon until they activate Legion. Add-ons for FF are applied on INJURED Survivors, you can apply DW, Broken, Mangled/Hemorrhage(because it should be like this) or even slower action speed.
The whole point of this Legion is that they already have a natural ability to get everyone injured but since the add-ons only effect injured Survivors builds would consist of anti-healing with Coulro, Sloppy Butcher etc. M&A is still useful once you activate Legion AND since Legion can see Auras this means that their perk Iron Maiden is actually good on them in particular, shocking right? Survivors would hide in lockers to avoid you and when they exit we can see them scream. I still think that perk is ######### but at least it would have synergy with it's owner and get lots of use from Legion.
Other play-styles with Legion would be Endgame builds, what if you only activate 3 of the 4 members and when the Exits open you become number 4 and have no TR or weapon giving NOED a 1 time extreme boost of power. Also, I know that Joey and Susie need to be bought so base Legion has only Frank and Julie who can obviously use this ability more than once since it's a 4 usage thing in total with a 1 time use for each member. If you only have the base Legion then you still get all 4 but with only those 2.
-
As long as the Survivors aren't smart, which is rare lol
Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention, Discordance, Sloppy Butcher(not sure what to use for the last perk. I want to use Ruin but that's prob a bad idea.)
The whole point is that if done fast enough you can block all the Gens in the beginning of the game at least twice, I've done it. CI (hopefully) makes them get closer to you to Stalk and then Mark really early and then TT blocks the Gens. Discordance is obvious but is really helpful in the beginning of the match, the entire build is to help with snowballing really early so if you don't then you really need to recover fast.
I had a team last night wait out the entire 2 minutes of CI before doing Gens and it threw me off before I finally realized what they were doing. It was a good tactic I didn't think of until they did it.
-
There have been a few times when D-Strike has ruined a game for me personally. The Exit was open and no one was dead, the team got their buddy off the hook and I of course tunneled him/her I don't remember and bam, D-Strike. Everyone got out because of that and it was a good play because I forgot about DS tbh.
D-Strike can be a weapon just like Head-On but with DS you have to fall for it. If someone jumps into a locker after getting unhooked then they are either faking they have DS or they have it. I will personally take the DS if it is not the Endgame, I will take it so I don't need to deal with it later and I think that's the right choice depending on how the match is going so far.
But overall I think D-Strike is only powerful in the Endgame and if you have good runners and they use it to screw you over but that can only happen if you as the Killer will fall for their play.
-
@Kerbert Not everyone, some people bring in keys to bait the Killer to bring in Franklin's I myself am a collector and I love looting so I would loot these like crazy because I don't like risking not getting the hatch and dying early. Also, if you're SWF and have a good team it wouldn't be a waste to use the key on it IF the reward was an item. If the reward was a temp boost for that match then yeah more people would prob just use it on the Hatch.
-
@sirnewbington Oh that's a cool idea, a 100% chance to unhook, that's pretty major I like it.
-
SUNGLASSES FREDDY! Omg, I keep forgetting about that, that would be badass XD @Raven014
-
Oof, I would love that Despair Engravings. I really want more Killers to have a sort of Insta Kill add-on, it's just really cool and makes them extremely lethal. @No_Mither_No_Problem
-
Frankly I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet, an Oni costume for her is perfect. I mean they got the classic school girl and then this should have been next, Feng Min is getting a ''Demon Hunter'' outfit and it would go great with a Demon Spirit <3
-
Interesting, I like that it has a requirement and isn't overpowered because you still need to be the last person in the trial to use it and the Hatch needs to be shut.
This could actually be the change the game needs right now because a lot of Survivors are dying to the EGC because the Killer can guard the Exits pretty easily if the map is done right.
Coincidentally lol this could also work with my thread in Wishlist about more Black Locks. I have an idea about a chest hidden around the map that needs a key to open because it has a Black Lock and inside could be anything really, it's up to the Devs but it has to be super good to be locked away. This perk could actually open that chest since it has a Black Lock so in theory you could use this perk for the chest or the Hatch and it's probably better to use on the Hatch XD
-
Gens are really boring and when a Killer can't apply enough pressure then they go really fast.
The problem is in 2 areas, the Killers aren't strong enough to create enough map wide pressure and secondly the Objective for Survivors is too simple so they can rush through it if no one is paying attention to the.
If Killer had the ability to apply more pressure OR if the Objectives required more than holding a button for over a minute then Gen rushing wouldn't be a problem.
-
SWEEEEET, I love this new fact.
-
Having lore for Ghostface would probably be the easiest for them since the character is theirs but the cosmetic is licensed. I would love to see lore about him since he's their dude.
My only real hope as far as comsetics go if they have that in the Archives or Rift is a Freddy cosmetic from New Nightmare, he's so dapper in that one <3 I really hope that happens one day because holy #########, watch that movie man it is awesome.
-
I'm really happy I made this thread lol
Pallet variations would add variety into this game and it is a fact that variety is the spice of life and if we keep seeing the same old thing over and over again it gets boring and stale, like leveling up a Killer to P3 level 50 and still not get any decent perks.
Pallet variations would be awesome, Pallets on Mac Millan, car parts on Autohaven, logs for Red Forest, school desks on Springwood, tables? on Haddonfield, and I am kind of at a loss for the other maps.
Also a Library map would be REALLY COOL :D I love indoor maps
-
Freddy: Black Box/Swing Chains, Dress/Drawing (the first is for my favorite sadist build on ma boi and the second is for an impossible skill check build)
Pig: Amanda's Letter/Combat Straps, Crate of Gears/Bag of Gears, Face Mask/Video Tape (first build is the all seeing specifically for Lery's, 2nd is for a potential head pop, and 3rd is for a nice Thana slugging build)
Ghostface: His add-ons are very simple and he's close to not being viable without a power recovery add-on so your first add-on is already chosen by default and his 2nd add-on can literally be anything since they are so simple with no variation on how to play him. A real shame to be honest since Michael is similar but has add-ons for wall hacks and literally instantly killing someone.
-
@Khroalthemadbomber When I read they upped that I mistakenly thought they increased her Crouch speed and then got disappointed when I realized it was Crouch/Uncrouch :(
-
@Khroalthemadbomber said:
OH did not know that! Allow me to add that to my list! Thank you @Chi !
Updated List;
Does Work:
Anything that offers 'Exposed,' and Sloppy Butcher.
What Does Not:
Save The Best For Last (can not gain or lose stacks), Hex: The Third Seal, Remember Me (can not gain stacks), Dark Devotion, Franklin's Demise, Mettle of Man (can not gain stacks as survivor)
What shouldn't even be tried:
Play With Your Food. You lose tokens the moment you activate the ambush, whether you fully charge it or not.
@Khroalthemadbomber This list is depressing, the fact it even exists is ridiculous. I've been using Ambush more and more, trying to make it useful and this just makes using it even more of a pain and actually encourages you NOT to use it.
Oh you have Remember Me? Better hope your Obsession isn't on that Gen when you use your Ambush? You have anything that helps you at all then never use your Ambush because it WON'T WORK. Good job Devs good job, I remember them saying that if Pig needed a buff of some kind of because their changes then they would do it so I hope they get around to doing it because they keep screwing her over.
Pig and Freddy don't need add-ons to be effective and now they're making perks just completely unusable with her already tainted ability.
-
It wouldn't be a crutch perk if it had a requirement, giving it a requirement to use makes it a reward or trump card.
No One Escapes Death
If you Hook 5/6/7 Survivors before the last Gen is completed a random Dull totem is turned into a Hex totem. As long as this totem is active you move at an increased 4% speed and inflicts the Exposed status on Survivors.
At Tier 3 you only need 5 hooks and that's basically hooking 1 Survivor twice and the other 3 once and if you have BBQ & Chili you're already going to do this anyway so it's not much different. This makes that Exposed status a trump card, a last chance HA HA!!!!! you earned that ultimate power instead of it being given freely. This also means that Survivors can only complain that you did a mediocre job instead of getting something for nothing when the Killer obviously did a good enough job to get this saving grace.
Also, this is how I use NOED, I never want to use it to win. When I bring in this perk I go in with the intention of dominating until the very end. I let them get the last Gen so I can make them feel confident again and then their hope grows that they'll escape. And then I smack em' down laughing my ass off revealing it was all just a trick and they were never going to escape unless I wanted them to.
-
Survivor or killer it's my favorite map.
-
@TAG When you have to save your friends but need to fly through thousands of rings first.
-
Once again I'm not complaining about pallets, I'm asking why were pallets chosen as the aesthetic for this defense.
-
@thesuicidefox fixing the buggy breakout would be ideal, I get broken out behind walls, around corners, it really sucks when you're chasing someone around the shack and they break you out after they turn the corner.
