I doubt you're going against 5 "elite survivor squads" in a row. Sometimes we simply don't play good enough and it's ok to admit that.

I have the same issue with Alchemist Rings. I am like: "I need as many as possible and if it's a 1000 then it's a 1000."
But in reality I use them maybe once every 30 Blight matches, if not rarer.
I have exactly the same problem. I never use Topknots because I know how unfair it is, but I still purposely go for it on bloodwebs. It's like satisfaction knowing I have the power to ruin 300 matches.
-
Her mori would be making the survivor... do what Sayori did.
-
That's like removing Blight ability to do damage with a Rush. Her traps are her way of downing survivors.

I'm not a great looper, I would much rather prefer that someone else on the team can take that kind of heat. But you will in 95% of your games as Survivor, need to run away from the Killer, that sounds like an awful lot of "chasing" to me.
Chasing and looping are these things we don't do every game because, the game description doesn't word it that way?
Can't you run from a Hag? You just need to mind where her web is and harass it.

The big obstacle i see with adapting anime characters in dbd is the art styles. Like all of the survivors in dbd right now have very similar builds, with their facial features, and everything else, and with anime things like that are exaggerated greatly. I think if they had to adapt them to look "normal" it would look extremely weird and not like those characters anymore.
Have you ever seen DBD mods? Some of them feature anime characters and actually look neat. I won't link anything here as I think it's against the forum rules, but search it for yourself.

The whole damn game is centered around chasing!
That's the biggest complaint about Nurse, is that she's not playing DBD, she's playing the Nurse game, while you're playing DBD. At least with her, there is a skill cap involved.
Hag's drawback is boring, she's slow and she requires set-up. So make her not slow and able to have strong chase but, she should still have to win a chase. That's where the whole skill of DBD comes into play, in chase. Being notified where someone is, at a trap you put there for a reason and being able to go there immediatley is pretty damn good in my book.
"The whole damn game is centered around chasing!". No, it's not. Not everyone has fun doing the traditional looping.
From the official DBD website: "Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed." It says nothing about being centered around chasing. If that was the case generators wouldn't exist and people would just do constant 1v1s.
There are various way to demonstrate skill in DBD aside from chasing. Again, your suggestion would virtually delete her playerbase.
-
Tbh this list isn't that bad. If I were to do a ranking from worst to best, this would be really close to it. Sure he says some "lol" things like Haddonfield being bad for survivors, but you can't expect depth knowledge from a casual gamer.
-
@Mew said:
she needs something, personally i think it’s annoying to go against or even play hag simply because her chase is nonexistent (since, she doesn’t actually chase you. and if she does, you go down fast because she’ll only chase you near traps)
removing her ability to camp would be a good start, but i think she needs other things to make her fun to play & play against (actually being able to chase survivors, and survivors actually being able to counter her web in chase)
The whole purpose of Hag is satisfying a niche of people who don't like traditional chases. If you take away that you're basically deleting her playerbase. We already have enough chasers.

Is it worth it? I've just heard it isn't really but that was awhile ago. Maybe I'll get it, I mean you're right I do play often enough.
Imo definitely. I only bought the aurics for the 2nd Rift and every subsequential one was for "free" since you get your aurics back once you get to level 70. Now I have tons of skins just for the price of a single full outfit.
-
@TheGhostofZgor said:
I don't mind paying for the outfit but I kinda don't want to have to get the rift pass.
Why not? If you play enough, you get the outfit you want and a lot more others AND you get your aurics back. The rift right now is super easy to complete, 1~2 hours a day and if you finish it with time to spare.
-
I got my college group, 3 friends, to buy this game. None of them played more than 30 hours, especially with this console version. I can't recommend this to anyone more...

To stop Charlotte from excessively slugging, it's the only way. Otherwise she has to slug, right? Feel free to point out an alternative that would actually stop the core issues with Charlotte. Killers can be buffed but broken unfun killers are like that until the core issue is fixed.
Charlotte's core issues are :
that if Victor downs a survivor then Charlotte has to travel to the slugged survivor, pick them up and then bring them to the hook. It's much more efficient to leave them slugged and injure or down another survivor and only hooking when you have time or have several survivors downed.
that Charlotte or Victor can remain near a hook to immediately pressure survivors who have unhooked.
---
This change effectively removes both of these scenerios. Yes, you could leave charlotte near the hook, but then you won't be able to down survivors, only injure them. Or you could leave victor near the hook, but now Victor can only injure and attach himself to survivors but not down.
Once that core problem is fixed, we can start buffing other attributes of either Victor or Charlotte to the point where we get an interesting killer.
Give a longer cooldown for missed pounces so survivors can punish bad Victors.
Reduce Victor's MS from 150 to 135%.
Increase Charlotte's MS when Victor is not attached to her and maybe give her a longer lunge (like Myers in T3), so she has some 1v1 potential.
Basically nerf Victor and buff Charlotte.
Another option is making Charlotte an AI that follows Victor around very slowly, so slugging is not that attractive anymore because you can hook people. Basically make her work like Nemesis' zombies.

I play Oni almost daily. Such a fun killer and definitely among the strongest in the game.
Recently I managed to stock 300 Topknots on him lmao.
And here's my bugged Oni without a sword. He stayed almost a week like that on my lobby for some unknown reason.
Wish I faced him more as survivor though.
(sorry for pic quality, way easier than screenshots)
-
Doki Doki and Danganronpa would unironically be great licenses for DBD.

I can't imagine that the Survivors lost if the Pig was hounding you long enough that you weren't even able to search two boxes.
Nah, it's easy. Most boxes are located next to generators, so it's not like she couldn't pressure other survivors. Add solo queue into the mix and it's a free win if you use Tampered and Crate of Gears.
-
Is that another one of those surveys that take 20+ minutes to answer and apparently never results in anything because the next chapter will have the same problems if not worse?
-
I was playing 2~3 hours a day before the chapter. Now with all the performance issues I can only play 1 hour max before being fed up or getting sick with all the sluttering.
I don't even know if I'll go back to play how I used to. It seems the horrible performance made me realize a lot of problems with this game. I used to watch streams all the time and now I don't even do that anymore.
-
Glad this was your experience. For me Pig is the least enjoyable killer to play against due to the playerbase. Just the day before yesterday I faced TWO in a row using Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears and both had the same playstyle. They'd follow me around in stealth with the trap active, immediately chase me off once I started searching a box and then leave me for another survivor. On the first match I managed to get lucky and got my trap off on my first box, but on the second I couldn't even finish my second search before dying on Midwich.
I wouldn't really mind if Pig got nerfed again tbh, getting outplayed by RNG is disgusting. And Pig players for some reason always resort to this same playstyle (probably why she has a high kill rate).

Got a huge ton of addons on Wraith, Ghostface, Oni, Legion and Spirit. Nothing more.
-
Average Iron Will + Dead Hard fan vs Average Plunderers + Appraisal enjoyer.
-
He's a dead killer on last gen consoles. Constant lag just for existing. If it gets fixed I'll probably play him again.
-
Be like me and play stealth killers. Can't run away from something you don't see coming.
-
I have two ideas for making recovery addons less of a necessity:
1. Getting a "Surprise Stab" or "Marked Stab" event automatically refills 50% of his power.
2. Straight up buff his recovery to 20 seconds and rework Chewed Pen.
Of course I prefer 1, it rewards good GFs, and punishes those that misuse his power.
As of his addons, keep those that increase the stalking progress while not leaning, as they sometimes come in clutch, and the ones that increase duration of the Exposed.
For the other ones, just rework them to give status effects, just like with Wraith. Make addons that give Blindness and Mangled after getting a "Surprise Stab" or "Marked Stab".
Some addons could mess up more with his power. He could have an iridescent or purple that turns off his red light while crouched. Others could make his footsteps and clothes harder to be heard, or make Marked survivors have a blurred vision.
-
Legion is an incredible popular killer, even though they are kind of weak. That's why it's super common to see skins for them. Just search for "Legion fanart" on Twitter or something.
-
Demogorgon. For some reason I find Nurse relatively easy to hit blinks with, but I can't for my life land shreds.
-
It isn't intended. I remember a dev stream that happened when I started playing in which the devs saying they were going to replace DCed survivors with bots exactly due to situations like this, so it's definitely not intended and ofc not a legit strategy.
-
Tracking by sounds is not easy, especially in a game like DBD where it's a coin toss if you're going to hear some sounds. Scratch marks are garbage and grass doesn't exist everywhere. Also almost every match there's 2+ survivors using Iron Will. I actually have a harder time playing her than playing Huntress and Deathslinger for example, considering I have a FPS background.
The only easy thing about her is the stand still BS which shouldn't even exist anyway. Otherwise people who spam "no skill" are just salty and probably the survivors who Dead Hard for distance and camp safe pallets.
Edit: although I must admit she becomes incredible easy if you spend 3000$ on a headset and modify your sound files. But let's be real, that's not even 1% of the Spirit playerbase. It's the equivalent of an aimbot Huntress.
-
From a gameplay perspective, the "Raining Blood" outfit is the best one for stealth, as it is harder to see. Imo you should never use the default clothes unless you really like it, as the black scraps are incredibly easy to spot for survivors. Same for the "Slash Enthusiast" in a smaller aspect.
I'd get either 1 or 4.

I've made this comment in the past and will make it again. All of the flaws that the twins have go away if Victor loses his ability to down survivors. If victor attacks a healthy survivor they get head crabbed again. This would obviously make the Twins garbage tier, but once that change is made you can start to Buff all sorts of things with twins.
Buffs.
You can change to and from Victor at any time
Switching is immediate and no cool down
When Victor locks a survivor in a locker , Breaking out of the locker works the same way as a trappers trap
When victor face crabs a survivor he no longer immediately switches back to charlotte, you can, if you choose to detach yourself from the survivor if there's another survivor nearby that you would like to head crab
Survivors that are head crabbed are hindered
That's just a worst Legion. And it's bad because Legion isn't even that good.
-
This reminds me of the Huntress' Mordeo skin. That axe for some reason blocks 1/3 of the FOV, even though it is in no way bigger than Huntress' normal weapons. Like killers don't have a super restricted FOV already...
-
Pay attention to the loading screen quotes and count how many of these are about Spirit.
Just today a new Spirit skin dropped, even though she's the 2nd killer with the most number of skins already. She's only behind Legion, who are technically 4 characters.
Look at her pick rates on the last stats that dropped.
They said on a stream months ago that Spirit cost 30000$ to be developed.
So yeah, Spirit makes money, I really doubt we'll see any changes to her anytime soon. Specially if you consider she's a band aid fix to a lot of problems with the game (bad map designs, gen spread, huge maps, etc).
-
What's the infinite on the map? I see people talking about it but I never saw it in game. But yeah, even as a GF and Wraith main I must admit the map sucks.

Would they? Even with all the killers, there would be 3 more survivors. Plus, a lot of generators have multiple spots to work on. Also, I'd imagine it would get increasingly harder to take survivors to hooks as they are destroyed or taken up one by one.
You can make a 3 gen then and put 12 killers into every possible spot to work on. Also you could just slug everyone to death, especially if you have killers like Plague, Nurse and Oni together.
-
Killers obviously win lol. Just park a killer into every gen.
The only way to circumvent this would be putting like, 60 generators on the map.
-
Welcome to the Ghostface main life, brother. The real and only tbagging killer.
-
It's an assymetrical game. It basically invites the us vs them mentality. I honestly think it's part of the identity of the game having survivors and killers at each others throats.
-
Btw, Wraith for me is really bad. Whenever I uncloak the game freezes for a solid second, it makes his speed boost useless.
-
I personally don't have many problems with Oni. It drops tons of frames while activating his power or sucking blood, but I haven't had problems using the kanabo.
Funnily enough Spirit is THE BEST killer to play right now. No joke, my game runs fine (like it was pre-RE chapter) while playing as her, except for when unhooks or Dead Hard happens. Maybe it's because the game doesn't have to load survivor models and hitboxes during Phase Walk?
BHVR is basically forcing console players to be Spirit mains lol.
-
My personal build is Corrupt, BBQ, Monitor and Abuse and I'm All Ears. BBQ is mostly for points, I'd drop it for Tinkerer or Discordance if you want a serious build.
-
Resetting levels doesn't make you gain less shards. Yes, you receive less shards per level, but in compensation you level up with less XP.
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Player_Level as you can see here, the shards/XP ratio is basically the same no matter the level.
-
I thought it was only me. I've been getting an absurd amount of indoor maps, Haddonfield and Dead Dawg Saloon. I actually went twice in a row to Dead Dawg today without offering.
-
You know he was underwhelming when the Kpop star is soon going to be stronger than the biological weapon.
Although you can say the same for Myers as well.
-
I personally don't like infecting generators at the start of the match as it forces survivors to go immersive. I use Discordance on her and start hyper agressive, trying to get at least 3 survivors infected before comitting to a chase. If survivors don't cleanse I'll punish them by being super territorial and defending close hooks and gens.
I'd drop M&A on your build. You already have 2 Undetectable perks, no reason to put another on that makes you a bit more stealthy.
-
If the killer stands on top of hatch and doesn't close it, just force it by doing a gen.

If a killer is chasing an injured survivor, and chooses *not* to break off the chase to go after healthy survivors on a gen..... this is probably a bad tactic, but maybe that player thinks it's their only option for a down, and (right or wrong) think they're going to lose anyway. And just want a kill.
In that case who are we to tell them how to play. Most people who complain about tunneling seem to think the killer is some real life Ted Bundy, who's only aim is to spoil the survivors game and laugh maniacally. In truth.... maybe sometimes, the killer just wants a kill.
That's not tunneling then. That's the killer going after a weak target to guarantee a kill. Sometimes forcing altruism is better than trying to push survivors off gens. True tunneling is actually hard to occur.
And I agree with you btw. I personally don't care about tunneling or survivors rushing their objectives. As long as nobody DCes (as it turns the match into a waste of time) or use exploits/hacks, I personally don't mind anything in game.
-
Tunneling does exist but it isn't what most people think it is. Tunneling is a killer that refuses to even defend generators just to get a specific survivor out of the match, no matter how good or bad they are. That's usually a bad tactic. When people accuse killers of tunneling, that's usually just targeting weaker links, which is a smart thing to do as good and bad survivors can both equally do gens.
Genrushing does not exist. That's survivor doing their objectives efficiently.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
Ugh, no. The dc penalty was the worst thing they ever added to this game.
Why make fun and interactive killers or fair maps when you can half ass it and strongarm players into staying into matches they aren't enjoying.
Holy, why does this have 11 upvotes? Seriously? Are people in this community so egocentric they feel it's ok to waste the time of 4 other players because you don't like something? Go play a single player game, please.
-
A good Billy with Infectious Fright and Bambozlee is still a snowball machine imo.
Although, technically Trapper could get an early basement hook and kill everyone easily if survivors are altruistic.
-
The moment you queue up you're accepting going against any of the 24 killers. If you don't want to go against Spirit, go play another game. Imagine BHVR trying to sell a DLC but "hey, everybody hates this killer, so you'll have to deal with 30 minute queues when you play this killer that you like".
