I think the perk should only be a counter to aura detection perks and not be a scanner every 30 seconds. I think if it only countered aura perks from the killers it wouldn't possibly become a meta perk but it would remain very useful to the survivor. But instead that idea does both. Plus there is that spine chill aspect to it which i never liked. Also, the fact more than one person can use the perk and get value out of it even if they aren't the obsession event though the perk name suggests only the obsession should get an effect out of it. So i would make it so that it only reveals auras when you are revealed and it only works if you are the obsession. No timer, no seeing the killer if they don't have an aura perk. You can see them for as long as they can see you unless they are undetectable. Only my suggestion however
So if you're not the obsession, you have a dead perk all game? Ok.
-
Still a garbage perk mate.
-
Survivor collision has no benefit and only allows for toxicity like this. I don't get why they won't just remove it. Is it too hard to code killer hits without it?
-
I'm surprised you didn't bring up the biggest grievance: intending to vault, and instead entering a locker.
-
It could use further buffs (such as revealing the aura of downed pallets), but it doesn't need an entire rework. I would hate to only be able to use it in the killer's TR. So much fun of the perk is bringing them back to a great loop they neglected to break a pallet at earlier - only to find said pallet reset.
-
It's not about camping with The Twins, it's about slugging. Try to capitalize on multiple injured survivors with Victor, rather than hard focusing one survivor.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by unfixable? But to point 1, you simply have to have game sense of where you left Charlotte and where you were smashed as Victor. That's not a design problem, that's a player problem.
As to point 2: I run Deerstalker on Twins, no gen slowdown perks, and consistently get 4ks. Why should they get free Deerstalker? Alternatively, hook someone and use BBQ as Deerstalker.

As many said, if a Leatherface is camping, you can't do anything. Like, absolutely nothing. Even Borrow Time can't protect the unhooked surv from the chainsaw, he'll catch you after the speed boost from being hit (or you have sprint burst, or there is a window and you have Lithe).
Just do gen, and if you're the one who's been facecamped, struggle. Don't suicide.
Fun tip at the end. Nah, I think I'll just count my losses and move on to the next match. Such an utterly poor designed killer power he has.

Myers needs a buff/rework tbh.
GF can only expose one person at a time so he's not that strong.
Wrong on GF. He can expose all four survivors at once.

So let me get this straight; you got caught and put in the basement, and you feel that is the DEV's fault? What mechanic are you talking about them changing exactly? :) It sounds like you got chased, downed, and hooked.
"this to be possible" being a survivor opting to take themselves out of a match while on the hook (or at least have a 96% chance of doing so). I wasn't asking for anything to be changed in my comment.
-
A match just started on Blood Lodge. I barely walked five steps before Bubba finds me first. I use a couple pallets in chase, including shack with basement there, then go down in the middle. Get dragged to the basement with Iron Grasp. No DS available on that character. No thanks.
If the devs didn't want this to be possible, they'd have changed the mechanic by now.

EGC is fine how it is. Leave it alone.

Hackers on mobile DBD?
Excuse me, what?!
Oh yes. I’ve probably encountered more in eight months on mobile than 4+ years on PC. Here’s a Spirit who was able to put RBTs on survivors, and the other is a survivor who was able to remove themselves from the match as survived, without escaping through the hatch with two gens left. You can see the hatch is closed and no EGC triggered.

Actually searching for a mobile lobby while I type this. There are a lot of things I like better than the normal game.
1) If, for example, a Wraith has Ruin and Nurse’s Calling - well by golly he EARNED those perks, so kudos!
2) I don’t get stomped every game
3) my survivors share items! Woooooo!
4) bots
Downsides
1) more hackers.
2) ads
Ads are completely optional though. And the bots are trash. For me they are a downside.
-
If it rearms while they are on top of it? Yes.
-
As someone who plays it as much, if not more, as PC (something like Devotion 4 on there)... the amount of potatoes on both sides is staggering. Unsafe hooks, camping, tunneling, and NOED abound. Among other things.
-
Bubba hands down. No - and I mean no - other killer has his camp, and especially facecamp, potential. On top of that, his chase potential (either drop a pallet or be downed, even if healthy).
-
I wouldn't mind it at all, as long as he didn't get an explosion notification for uncages. That alone may be the most ridiculous part of Pyramid Head!

Appreciate you, thank you!
-
Good to know it's reportable, thanks @Peanits. But how about simply introducing an in-game feature that stops it from happening in the first place? Idle crows should be reworked if survivors haven't touched a generator for 10+ seconds within a three minute time period.
-
It becomes an almost unusable perk for its purpose if you are not the obsession, which is basically not up to you. I would take that requirement out, and otherwise it's fine.
Also, where's the Sole Survivor rework to compliment the other two Laurie perks being nerfed?
-
The devs aren't going to punish people just because they are playing with their friends. Amazing we still get threads like this, particularly when killer is in the strongest state it's ever been.
Buff solo queue instead.
-
If I understand correctly, you're trying to decide between buying Shadowborn or Plague with shards right now? In that case, I would suggest Plague is worth it if you are committed to Nurse. All three of Plague's teachables can go very well with Nurse - plus, you'll have the character. As you mentioned, Wraith is free so you can eventually get Shadowborn just with bloodpoints.
If you need further advice or anything, please reach out! Welcome!

Blocking gens for extended periods of time is a risky move for both sides, in my opinion. Thrilling Tremors works because it is so brief, allowing for Pop/Overcharge, etc. Even with your proposed change, Dead Man's Switch is far too situational comparative to TT (up to three total uses vs. unlimited on cooldown).

To give the killer a bigger challenge if they choose to accept it.
Or scare them into thinking you have a mori.

With the upcoming patch, nearly 75% of the Stranger Things perks will have been buffed... yet somehow this one has been (wrongly) overlooked.
-
If I’m second to last to go, since there’s not much time left anyways. Especially if I gave myself up on hook, so my last fellow survivor can hopefully get hatch.

In my opinion a semi-reasonable and scary way to work the perk would be this:
(Sorta like Stake out)
PWYF:
- You become obsessed with one survivor
- Every 8/7/6 seconds you chase your obsession, you gain a token up to a max of 5 tokens.
- Each token grants an additional 3% haste status.
- Lose a token when you hit a survivor.
- Lose all tokens when you down, sacrifice, or kill a survivor.
The idea of this setup is that you will want to actually follow your obsession a bit, make them think theyre actually in a chase instead of looking and looking away. Alongside that, this will be a little bit more robust in terms of tokens, while its a slower gain, its a much more substantial retainer IMO. If you miss a hit, you lose nothing. If you hit multiple survivors, you lose a little less than downing/killing one. Idk its a rough idea.
Gaining 3% speed every six seconds in chase - up to +15%? With Bloodlust still being a thing?
You have got to be Joshing me.
-
By and far the most unfair and unfun killer in the game. No other killer has his camp and chase potential. Can double smack you right through BT even. He should be reworked that the chainsaw only damages one health state, but compensated in another way. My idea is that survivors only gain half the amount of damage speed when hit by the chainsaw.
-
For how easy and quick it is to remove Victor, I would be ok with this change; but I would prefer instead that removing Victor took far more effort. Perhaps double the time if removing by yourself, and the current removal time if being helped by another survivor.

Yeah, it is annoying to lose addons. Good thing that doesn't happen every game.
Huh? Add-ons are always taken away after a trial, without a ward or Ace in the Hole.
-
I can perfectly understand the hatred of these two perks:
- Franklin's can deny and completely remove an item that cost a survivor up to 19,000 BP. Think about that. 19,000 BP. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even a White Ward would not recover an item lost to Franklin's? So that would be 25,000 BP for an item you didn't get to use.
- Lightborn denies the only use of a flashlight - except against Hag, Nurse, and Wraith. It provides no feedback that it is in use, in a version of the game where flashlight angles are getting changed and don't work half the time anyways.
-
+1 on all fronts!
-
Works with Piggie too. Saw it with my own eyes.
-
No more killers with camp, tunnel, or range potential. But that's way too much to ask for these devs.

@Sluzzy said:
If Iron Will reduces sounds completely, then Stridor shouldn't magically amplify zero sound. The devs should fix that with Iron Will and it will be fine counter to spirit.
100% - 50% = 50%. That’s why Stridor counters every tier of Iron Will.
-
Sure, why not! Have you come up with scoring event names? 😁
-
Did I miss something? Is AMN actually getting nerfed?
-
But then you're basically taking away the only use of the perk in its current state (just saying it how it is). So what if instead, you can become Undetectable for a few seconds, on command, with a reasonable cooldown?
-
Making BL not an exhaustion perk is a massive buff. Do you realize how long your change could extend chases in conjunction with SB, DH, or Lithe?
-
So you're saying since 2016 to today, all the red rank players out there have continued to play regularly without rank rewards.. but now that there is a reward, they will have incentive to just stop?
🧐
-
What would help MoM and WGLF is redefining protection hits. Presently, it only constitutes taking damage when another survivor would have gone down. Why does it not count if they would have gone from healthy to injured?
-
Knockout is kinda the most funny that it has this requirement, considering it is tied to a killer with a one-hit down secondary attack.
-
@RepostRiposte said:
Well if we're going to stretch comparisons that thin then practically every good perk is "overlapping" with another. There are 164 perks in the game, 9/10 of those are complete trashwater, and that number is only growing.
Why does Bond still let you see injured survivors?
Why does Breakout break hooks for longer than Saboteur?
Why is Object>Spine Chill>Premonition?
Breakout doesn't break hooks... ?
-
Even if this buff were added to the perk, still no one would use it. It's far too situational to get any meaningful value out of it.
-
- Franklin's Demise
- Don't let them get enough generators done
- Don't sweat it if you don't get a 4k
-
Add The Shape/Myers to the list! Hard to believe I forgot him...
-
I'd be onboard with being able to earn tokens back somehow, but not an unlimited amount. That would completely negate far too many killer perks just by simply existing. I think we can all agree three tokens for an entire match is too meager though.

Survivors don't have to guess where the cage is, the p head does. I myself have actually memorized where pretty much all cages spawn. What I like to do is cage a survivor and go over to the caged area and yes, tunnel but only if it is convenient for me. If there is another person there who had already saved the person, I will go for who is closest to me or in a bad position which sometimes is the recently saved survivor. I also like to put trails right in front of a caged survivor since it actually doesn't make the trails disappear and will re-torment the caged survivor. If I go to the caged survivor and no one is there, all I do is place some trails and immediately move to patrol gens.
It isn't just DS that doesn't work with cages, it also includes BT, WMI, and off the record. Again, I don't play like a douche (constantly shaking my head and hitting survivors caged or hooked), but I do play to win so if I can conveniently tunnel a survivor I will definitely do that to get someone out of the game ASAP.
The cages are a fantastic and very good time-saver, but what really makes them shine is the fact that they can ignore perks. I know I have said this already, but this is what makes him go from a better huntress to a killer who will murder you at a very uncomfortable rate if you play poorly. Right now, I really don't think that he needs to be nerfed. He is in a better spot than most killers, the only thing I believe is his problem is him having mostly weak addons. Can he tunnel you pretty effectively? Yes, but he is much more manageable than you think. A lot of the time people include clips of them being tunneled out of a game by a p head, they usually just put themselves in a bad spot or have teammates save near the pyramid head. What the tunneling pyramid heads do most of the time is check the caged person for a few seconds and then leave (usually). What you need to do is perform a safe unhook that is stealthy. His cages should stay the same because they can still be dealt with rather effectively.
Yeah, the punishment of the dammed part of his power is very difficult when first learning him. It took me a while but I believe that I have got it down very well. Survivors hate him for this part of the power because they don't know how to deal with it. If the p head is bad, then yeah you could probably loop him. If the p head is good though, then what you want to do is constantly chain tiles together without looping predictably. This is how you deal with his shockwave
Thank you for openly confessing how much is wrong with cages. You must feel like a relly gud killer pitching a tent around a cage.

The XP offerings exist on DBD Mobile, and in the PTB 4.5.0 added a lot of icons from DBD mobile, such as perks and offering categories, and the XP offerings... so... maybe they are adding it... or maybe just want to have the same files in dbd mobile and PC...
I don't think character XP in DbD Mobile relates to your devotion level though. I could be wrong.
