Using this logic, there's no such thing as a counter to anything. Both sides are equally OP and weak AF.
These are all counters, but they're all 'situational counters'. Everything in this game is situational, and once you accept that you'll find a huge weight of frustration is lifted. Situational weakness can make you feel powerless, you've done everything you feel you could reasonably do and the game still screws you over. That's just how the game works. It's 50% skill, 50% dumb luck, and you need 90% in total to get ahead.
There are counters, yes, but using basic ######### like "don't get hit", "just hook survivors" isn't a counter.
-
@PanicSquid said:
I mean, those are options. The other option is to play reactively to the perks in play.
Don't get hit against spirit. Do ANYTHING to prevent a hit, or you could just default run Iron Will. Iron Will is actually a good perk for all killers, it helps with mind games.
Infectious fright means don't group up, and actively avoid being in the killers Terror Radius. Or you can run calm spirit by default. Calm Spirit is a bit under-rated, but I wouldn't call it a great perk.
Hag traps you can just crouch walk over, or you could set them off when the Hag is otherwise distracted.
Don't get hit is the same as saying just hook survivors. It removes any of the complex variables of the game.
Also, completely ######### over solo survivors, because the weakest role really needed that. I definitely know where the baby Kate has decided to throw down every single pallet and definitely know where the only resource left on the map is.
Don't get hit isn't counterplay, like just hook survivors isn't a counter to rushing gens. Just don't get downed wasn't a counter to moris like just kill survivors isn't a counter to keys.

This joke wasn't funny day 1, and unlike wine it doesn't get better with time.

Elodie already has a deer onesie, so Jake is 100% a Wolf and I’m dying on this hill. 😂
Elodie has a reindeer not a deer >:(

To be fair with that, their salaries are actually incredibly high in terms of game development companies and DBD isn't the only game they work on. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 spring to mind, alongside the GOT mobile game that got released. So whilst the company might be making big bucks, not all of it is going to DBD and a lot of it going to DBD is on salaries.
I don't want to make an excuse for their poor optimisation- hell I hit sub-60 on midwich with my damn Ryzen 7 3700x that somehow ran CP2077 better- and they need to do better, but using a budget of the overall company isn't a great measurement.

I think Jake would be the Wolf, considering he’s a lone Wolf lol. I can see David as a Bear and Dwight could be a Panda. 😭
But then again Jake has a deer on his Christmas PJ's, Jeff is 100% the bear even though it fits David so well as well 😭😭😭
Dwight as a Panda tho? 10000%

No just their onesies. I wouldn't say Elodie has a reindeer fursona for example she definitely strikes me as the type to have a bright blue wolf lol

in that case skins. but tell me, do you even know what happens behind curtains, like do you know if they even pay that much to the developers, or they pay more to china. why you think they close any thread talking how they have to pay china.
They close threads like that because of the blatent xenophobic connotations and discrimanotory comments are you okay?!
And yeah, looking at the several outside reports including ones done by the official government of Canada I think it's safe to say that BHVR has some of the best working conditions and salaries in the games development industry.
By any chance are you a fan of SpaceCoconut?

neither of those. reduce the price of skins. dlc price are fine i guess, but a visual skin with no effort nor anything special shouldn't cost 15 dollars.
Well unfortunately its one or the other, welcome to the world of capitalism where things cost money and unfortunately this game is made by one of the most reputable companies out there in terms of employee pay and benefits. They pay their game developers an actual worthwhile salary and so naturally things cost more, not to mention a lot of the money from DBD is used to finance other probjects they're part of too.
So once again, which would you rather cost you the arm and the leg: the DLC or the skin?
-
@HellDescent said:
Imagine what BunnyBill would look like. It wouldn't fit the characters, except maybe for Dwight and David
You can't even start to tell me that Jeff in a Bear Onesie doesn't work, David maybe as a wolf. Jake gives me tiger vibes, but a deer works just as well. Felix definitely has a Unicorn onesie as his guilty pleasure too.
-
Let me pose you a question:
Would you rather the skins /which don't affect gameplay) be substantially cheaper at the cost of DLC (which does affect gameplay, by quite a bit actually) being substantially more costly?
Or would you rather the optional things that you don't have to buy remain the expensive things?
Cause honestly I'm perfectly fine with the cheaper things being the things that I actually need if I want to have the entire experience. Sure, it's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but if DLC price went up from £8 to £15 to compensate for skins going from £10 to £4 I'd be pretty pissed.

They work in the PTB so it's safe to assume they will when the patch hits live

It’s pretty unnecessary in my opinion but it denies him hook perks and pretty sure it gives you less points(@GoodBoyKaru might know)
If anything his cages need changes more
It does.
Caging grants you +500 deviousness points, and then +200 sacrifice if they are in the 2nd stage. Having a survivor die in a cage grants you +500 sacrifice, and a Final Judgement grants +1000 sacrifice.
Hooking someone once grants you +200 sacrifice for it being their first hook, and +500 for hooking at all. 2nd hooking them grants another +700 points, and killing a survivor grants +700 (unless it's a late hook, in which case you get slightly more).
The difference being caging grants most points in deviousness, whilst hooking grants sacrifice, which is substantially harder to max out.
-
Hi yes local Pyramid Head Main here:
No <3
He doesn't need these changes, and him not utilising his cages means he hasn't used his strongest asset; his ability to relentlessly tunnel someone out of the game in about 3 minutes.
Be glad he hasn't caged you, because were this the case a lot more people would tunnel someone into a cage so they can FJ later on.

It's actually fairly arbitrary. E.g., Pyramidhead's Deathbound was on the Shrine for the first time Nov. 2020 and was apparently only 2000 Shards. Same for Fixated. Wiki might be wrong about Deathbound, but I definitely remember Fixated being 2000 in its first and only appearance. The only clear pattern is that newer perks tend to be 2700, but even then it's not consistent.
Ngl I think that was probably a bug cause dbd twitter said they'd be 2700 lmao

I reported them on the scoreboard screen and then sent my video evidence over a ticket. I couldn’t list all the usernames as it’s 4 people I’m reporting but I mentioned this in the report and the usernames are all in the video.
I’m such a lenient person so the fact I’m complaining about the current state of solo lobbies says a lot lol.

Right there with you man. I usually play a game or two as survivor juat to get the extra daily shards and then I play killer the rest of time. Solo queue is just a dumpster fire most of time and not worth playing.
let's just say solo matches made me uninstall for the moment :)
im gonna reinstall tomorrow and pray things have improved slightly but if not, well... I never did finish Pokemon Platinum and Black/White look inviting too.

just makes it all the more suspicious.
make sure youve filled in the support ticket too, make sure they get their karma :)

why do some perks cost 2700 shards?
if it's their first appearance in the shrine, they'll cost 2700 shards (for some reason). after that, 2000 every time.

The only thing I can think of is that I didn’t join in with them farming but I didn’t realise that’s what was happening? The Huntress kept chasing me and losing me, so I didn’t take that as her being friendly. She eventually downed me with a hatchet because apparently my hit box is the same size as an Orca Whale and then I have the Meg and Kate who I both saved teabagging and shaking their head at me a long with The Kuntress. 🙄
Huntress hatchets when you're killer:
Huntress hatchets when you're survivor:

It’s just so ######### annoying when you get SWF as your teammates as they blame the random for everything. I literally did nothing wrong and even saved them from hooks so I don’t get why they AND the killer worked together to kill me but then all farmed together? It’s people like this that make me want to just be a killer main lmao.
Please stop putting rank 18 and 19 survivors in my lobbies please. 😇
Oh I 100% agree; they're the exact reason I'm a killer main.
Genuinely, if I'm rank 1, I don't want to see the colour grey anywhere near me.
Just wanted the moo moos to help cheer you up after that game.

As well as let you pet the smol ones.
-
@MadLordJack I've found your new build!!

Does BHVR actually think anyone will spend shards to get one of these perks?
Unless needed for tome challenges or as a joke (see April Fools 2020), the shrine is entirely random. You know that, right?

I'm glad there is one sane person who responded.
Someone doesn't agree with me = they're insane.
Your logic is absolutely flawless.
-
Against the majority of survivors, no. They're not good enough at the game and often it's a very killer sided massacre.
Against good survivors, as a good killer, they will always win. Only when killers play Nurse or Spirit perfectly, making absolutely zero mistakes, could they win vs perfect survivors.
-
It's the most efficient use of time which, particularly in solo, is required if you want to win. The whole reason people hate SWF is because of their efficiency at doing, well, everything.
Plus, a lot of people use We'll Make It, and running to cover gives the killer time to return and then tunnel the injured person when they COULD have been healed already.
No offence, but players who insist of running off to get healed are some of the most complained about teammates in solo and a lot of the time, people just won't heal you after like 4-5 seconds of running after you. You're wasting far too much time for 2 people when doing so.

Maybe that has more to do with how you play them. I never have a boring game with twins, even if I don't always win. Hell, I have more fun just goofing off with this killer, seeing what I can get Vic stuck in or over... It's actually surprising the amount of things he can get hits over and through
I just don't enjoy being punished for missing with my power by being sent halfway across the map ngl.

All these survivors complain about little counterplay, have you ever taken a low/mid tier killer with no kind of anti-loop mechanics against good survivors stacking second chance perks through maps full of safe pallets, god pallets, god windows and spaced between hold W zones?
Survivors have no counterplay too in many scenarios yet people act like it doesn’t exist. Its why people dont enjoy using those killers at high rank.
Yeah I frequently play Wraith, still think Spirit desperately needs a change.
Just because one aspect of the game doesn't mean everything else is fine. There can be multiple broken things simultaneously.
-
Twins? Fun?!
I have more fun playing AFK wraith because at least then I can do something else.

I'd say between 8 and 10 seconds on an add-on would be fair, maybe up to 20 if it's their main power.
Like PH's purple add-ons but with 10 seconds Exhaustion instead of the useless 60 seconds of Oblivious.
*glares menacingly at Huntress*
