Seehund Samstag may have failed...
Aber es gibt immer Zeit für Seehund Sonntag!

In a game where fictional characters place you onto a meathook to sacrifice your abstract emotions to an omniscient omnipotent Entity in an ever-changing game of life and death, set in a place where a chainsaw wound can be healed by a minor back rub and where Legion, Trapper, and Hag all share the same level of physical strength, in a place where Jeff, Bill, David, and Meg all run at 4m/s (considering the average is 3.5m/s), where there is a eugenicist Nurse who can teleport, a writhing mass of limbs created by a cult (who can also teleport), a narcissistic doctor with lightning imbued into his heart, and realistically a victim with the ability to turn invisible by ringing a bell, you're after realism?

WOW first time in many years killers getting such HUGE buffs but let a perk like dead hard stay for 6+ years. Thanks for your holy victim complex.
I think it's worth celebrating BHVR upping their reaction time from over half a decade to simply half a year but you do you I guess

its not the price of the skins, its not the price of the battle pass or how much cells you can earn in it. It's that putting battle pass skins on the store invalidates any effort put in to earn them. There is no incentive to get the battle pass (for skins I dont even use btw) if I know that the rewards will just at some point go onto the shop.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3359359#Comment_3359359
you're dumb. exclusives are the reason to buy the battle pass in the first place
its not the price of the skins, its not the price of the battle pass or how much cells you can earn in it. It's that putting battle pass skins on the store invalidates any effort put in to earn them.
Again I've paid 1000 cells for over 2 years worth of Very Rare skins. Tome 11 alone had 7 Very Rare skins, which would have set me back 7,560 Auric Cells, just for putting in time to play through the Rift.
It is entirely about the price of the skins, the price of the battle pass, and how many cells you earn. If I'm playing the game anyway, which I am, then I don't care about the skins being exclusive. All I care about is that it's saved me easily over £500 in cosmetics. Everyone else can get them through paying the full price.
You can make a fuss, try and protest, and start pissing away all your money all you like. I'll keep enjoying my essentially free cosmetics.
-
You can get those skins plus more for 1000 cells whereas one Very Rare skin sets you back 1080 cells. Plus certain cosmetics, such as Deep Rift cosmetics, are confirmed to never return.
But if you want to perform some flimsy protest that's equivalent to using your money as a tissue then go right ahead. I'm perfectly fine giving others the chance to earn skins that I've gotten for essentially a one-time investment of 1000 cells (less than 15 quid for over 2 years of skins).
-
Just hope and pray the killers connection is stable, you can time DH correctly, you're in an advantageous position to use it, they don't wait it out, they don't bait it out, then yeah you're good to go.
Meanwhile all eruption takes is kicking gens a few times then getting a down.
Gross oversimplification can make anything sound easy.

If we let RNG decide then I already know the only places I'm going are RPD, Coldwind, Eyerie, and Saloon. I'd much rather have the ability to just not go to one of them (especially with map repeat prevention too)

Alternatively just fix map offerings permanently by changing them to reduce the chance to be sent to a specific Realm.

Boon: Circle of Healing. 1500 Boldness per boon + ~300 Survival per self heal
Prove Thyself: Doubles all co-op point gains, can very easily max objective.
For The People: 500 BP to heal as opposed to the usual 300, injures you so can self heal for Survival points, and forces you to be the Obsession for Obsession Escaped/Obsession Died points.
Deliverance: 1500 Survival for a self unhook.

But how do you punish the unhooker? The only thing that sort of does that is Make Your Choice.
Giving more protection to the unhooked survivor doesn't punish the unhooker for doing something, no matter how many anti-tunnelling effects you stacked.
Even something as simple as the ability to reject being unhooked if the killer is within a 32m/40m range would do it.

Nice non-argument bro, I think you should ask bHVR to add more Killer bots so you can have the automatic experience you want.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356061#Comment_3356061
Its not my problem that your teammates are making mistakes, I should not get punished for mistakes the other side does.
Guess I just shouldn't have tried to take the BT hit.
You made your choice. You got a free shield to escape and you use it to antagonize the Killer, and then you come complaining too? You should run away. Its not my problem if you want to do unsafe plays.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356069#Comment_3356069
This doesn't really always boil down to survivor mistakes though. It's not like survivors always have a choice about unhooking next to the killer.
Wrong, its always a choice and it IS a Survivor Mistake. Ask your Team-mates to stop making bad mistakes. If the Killer is Face-camping. do gens. The reason Camping is effective is because nobody does Gens. Plus you can even bring Reassurance if you feel you need more time. There is no way this is a Killer problem.
"You made your choice. You got a free shield to escape and you use it to antagonize the Killer, and then you come complaining too? You should run away. Its not my problem if you want to do unsafe plays."
That's the point. I didn't. I held W in the opposite direction and still got tunneled.
-
@Emeal said:
No Thanks. I don't need no scuffed system preventing me from taking advantage of Survivor Mistakes.
I surely hope bHVR is wise enough to EVER indulge such ideas as they would only allow Survivors to do more things without the Killer having any impact on the game. Killers are a playable side, they are not cattle. We need to be able to make a choice and respond to what the Survivors do. Not have automatic systems in place that prevent us from responding.
How about Survivors don't unhook their team-mates next to the Killer.
How about Survivors actually try to escape from the Killer instead of trying to take a consequence free hit after being unhooked.
Survivors have so many options for tunnel retaliation when they are unhooked, but few want to use a Perk slot for it.
Its their choice, Their consequences. They just don't want to deal with it.
When you get unhooked in solo queue with no choice to stop it happening and then the killer hard tunnels you and your teammates don't take the hit 🥰🥰
Guess I just shouldn't have tried to take the BT hit.
Why punish one survivor for the mistakes of the other? There should be a system in play to punish the unhooker for a terrible unhook, instead of allowing the unhooker to get away scot free with their mistake at the expense of someone else who had no say in the matter.

I remember those days too, I started playing in 2017 and remember them very well. It was a madhouse of a sorts, but this change didn’t lower its usage as much as it should have. The fact that it can be used against special attacks is really obnoxious. Since most are decently hard to aim. Even more so on killers like Huntress and Pyramid Head, where you slow down to do the attack.
I'd argue that it going from being used over 75% of the time to 1-2 per match (the current stats I've seen flying around is ~40% but I don't know the source nor the accuracy of them, so do take it with a grain of salt, but at least my own experience lines up with that) is a pretty good improvement. Moreover, going from literally uncounterable in every situation to certain is another improvement.
And, what did you expect? With Endurance stacking gone, OTR lost most of it's relevancy, DS was gutted, SC was gutted, IQ was gutted- DH is literally the best perk survivors have, next to UB, Adrenaline, and SB (which can't be used with DH). Obviously it'd see the most useage when it's the best by a long shot, which I think should be an incentive to buff weaker perks instead of just nerfing the most used perks for the sake of nerfing them.
I'm not against further changes to DH, because it absolutely sucks to play against, but can we stop pretending that the nerf did nothing, and that it wasn't a nerf, because it absolutely was and removing DH4D was absolutely phenomenal.

@Tsulan said:
Why do people still want that the devs remove killers? Isn´t more variety better than less variety?
I´m still waiting for the new Nurse stats, because every Nurse i´ve seen since her rework was kinda meh.
Perks having synergy on certain killers shouldn´t hold back the devs. People complained about Thana, because of Legion and now no one uses Thana. People complained about BBQ on Nurse and Blight (one of the most healthy perks for the game btw) and now no one uses it anymore.
So removing a killer in the hope of getting better perks is a terrible idea. Because at the end, people will complain just because they had a bad match.
Tbh with Thana, they nerfed it in an awful way. Plague and Legion were the problem, so instead of changing it in a way that would be beneficial on other killers and less so on them (for example, 10% for 1 injured, 5% for the next, 3% for the third, 2% for the fourth, for a maximum of 20%) they instead made it useless on everyone except for Plague and Legion, the 2 killers who can consistently get the full 20%.

@HugTechLover said:
Like what? They literally took every single perk away from nurse that requires an M1. What perk are you talking about now?
Remember Awakened Awareness?
-
Am I genuinely the only person that remembers how abysmal the 4man E to Outplay DH for Distance bullshit was?
Like new DH isn't great but it's still a substantial improvement from something that was literally uncounterable in every situation, and used in over 75% of loadouts.
The nerf did something, I can promise you.

@illNicola said:
I will stop using it. It's useless now, 10% is nothing, is like 1 or 2 seconds if survs play efficiently. I agree that incapacitated was too much, because no one used it for blocking people from healing for example. Everyone used it to stop survs from working on gens, so why making it useless (basically a Nurse perk thanks to aura reading) instead of removing incapacitated and put "block all gens that explode"?
Honestly, I will drop it and I will start using again pain resonance + dms, well until devs destroy these two perks as well because survs will also complain about these as they always did for everything that benefits killer a minimum (see pop, ruin, Billy and other things that doesn't come to mind now)
10% of a gen is 9 seconds of regression every time. If survivors play efficiently and don't all stack a single gen, that's 9 seconds off of everyone.
Hardly gamechanging, but a substantial improvement from 1-2.
-
@Gamall said:
They can spawn because S tier killers exist and can counter them.
You simply had the misfortune of using one of the poorest killers in chase
So because certain killers can make the setups null and void and basically like they're an L-T wall, they should exist to hard counter every other killer when it genuinely wouldn't matter to the strongest killers what the tile is bc their power means they can get hits anywhere if they're good enough.
Got you ✨
-
On the survivor side, I'm incredibly torn. Either COH because of how much it just invalidates all hit and run playstyles and simply deletes certain killers, or Self-care, because people in solo still using only Self-care deserve the worst and the least I can do is use COH to make it marginally quicker for them to heal up.
Killer side though I think it's NOED. Just because it's incredibly rare now doesn't mean it won't be, and the nerf made changed nothing of the core problems with the perk (and while solo hud Icons are nice, they don't communicate where the totems cleansed actually are, if someone finished cleansing the totem, and they absolutely don't make the players good enough to know what a totem is). Remove an incredibly badly designed, very unhealthy perk that also isn't used that much right now so nobody is too sad about it and just be happy forever.
-
Guys!
Look at my new friend!
-
Depends on the type of Bodyblocking. A survivor blocking another survivor in a corner is still bannable, just like the killer doing it, whereas a survivor Bodyblocking a killer is perfectly okay because the killer has the ability to hit the survivor and force them to lose collision and/or down the survivor.
-
Okay but like, I could instead encourage them to keep trying flashlight blinds and saves and everything that isn't a generator. Because we all know their ego won't let them rest until they've gotten at least 1 save.
-
There's a gimmick account on twitter for everything dbd related (and, fun fact, most of them are terrible people for some weird coincidence). I wouldn't take the existence of that as any real indication of community spirit.
-
Tbh the entire point of KI is that it can't be blocked. So while I wouldn't be opposed to KI being replaced by aura reads for some killers, I wouldn't want to see KI countered by any perk (until power creep sets in and they've run out of perk ideas)
-

-
Tbh I'm just curious as to how you know it's a console killer and not just someone on a different platform than you.
-
You see, this is why the W key meta is so terrible. Nobody learns how to loop properly anymore.
-
Ome thing I don't get is the people saying that DH was buffed... Like I'm sorry Dead Hard 4 Distance was like 6 months ago there is no way you've all forgotten the complete and utter uncounterable E to Outplay bullshit we all put up with for years.
Though tbh playing on Garden of Joy reminds me of 2017/2018 Groaning Storehouse in the worst possible way 🕳️👩🏻🦯
-
It was absolutely abhorrent, but I got it against a facecamping Nurse of all people (we both managed to get out, too).
Though the only reason I even got it was because Feng Min was too afraid to solo save and Vittorio had Adrenaline, so while she got grabbed and almost threw I managed to get the save and then watch her get hit on hook for 2 minutes.
