My only advice really would be unselect and reselect. I got it no issues so unless the most recent update broke it all should be fine.

Show me one person in this post right now claiming it should’ve been left the way it was, c’mon I’m waiting. People are calling out BHVR for being hypocrites, why did they remove the noose offering for being associated with suicide and self-harm while keeping the guy that has been literally hanged to death ingame?
It makes zero sense, you either remove all noose and suicide related things in the game or none.
Was that hanging a voluntary willing excursion of that man or, given historical context and the ability to put 2 and 2 together, do you think that specific example was more of a public execution and more of a personal unaliving?

Oh! I can answer this one! It's right here, in this box labeled "Unoriginal, unfunny jokes that ran their course before they were told"!

For every hook on a different hook they got, they got bonus BP. For every envelope opened, they got bonus BP. For every Lunar Offering accepted (as in, those little lanturns that spawn on the ground in totem spawns and make you faster), they got bonus BP. With a little bit of luck, playing to maximise Brutality, Deviousness, and Hunter, it's possible. Props to them tbh

The good news is we know what is specifically classed as a hostage situation based on previous comments from the Support Team and Community Managers.
Effectively, if one player is trapped and cannot do anything for an extended period of time, and there is no guarantee for the game to end, it is classed as a hostage situation.
If someone has been bodyblocked into a corner and they cannot escape from it for an extended period of time (the exact time frame we don't know, but assume that it's longer than 3 seconds and shorter than 3 days), and the Endgame Collapse has not yet started, it is a hostage situation. If someone has been trapped, but only trapped after the EGC has commenced, that is not a hostage situation because there is a definite end in sight.
This is why slugging until bleedout isn't a hostage situation. There is a definitive end for the game in 4 minutes time when the survivor bleeds out, and therefore it isn't a hostage situation.
Use these general rules and 9 times out of 10 you'll be able to guess BHVR's answer to if something is or is not holding the game hostage, but due to the nuance and Support's unwillingness to act without solid proof, you'll still need to supply video evidence rather than just a text account.

Dang Kuru, you have certainly changed your tune from when I was here last. I don't hate BHVR, I just dislike some of the decision making that goes on with the higher ups and the people who throw their weight around. I know that when posts like this get made some of the dev's take it personally. They just need to understand that when people complain about the dev's it's mostly nothing to do with them, it's with the management and the decision makers.
Call it character development

This is true as these assassins use their power all the time. I agree completely you need to make them speed 4.4
I wasn't saying that though.
I said I didn't think it would prevent the character being good, but I don't think it's a change that's needed right now. Sure you could try it but there's far more important things to devote resources to.
-
I have one: some people will suffer from motion sickness due to the FOV now being too wide, so instead of Shadowborn basekit we should just get an FOV slider that people can customise to ensure the most comfortable playing experience possible.
-
I don't hate the devs, I hate BHVR the company. Just because they're better than most doesn't make them good, and they still run on the 3 month content cycle that leaves no room for delays or errors because it's straight back into the next DLC leading to massively unfinished products that just never seem to get fixed, and when they do it takes months. I hate the greedy, money-grabbing tactics they've started to employ recently, especially FOMO. I hate that it's taken us 5 years to get back here when back in the day (I know, I sound old) before Starbreeze were bought out for publishing rights they were able to be incredibly transparent and had weekly dev streams.
I hate that we went backwards for so long. I hate how the entire 5th year went because of corporate silencing.
I don't hate the devs, they're actually lovely people who have a real passion for the game. I just hate the corporation they work for.

Look into Canada
Rather unfortunately there isn't a big government body that collects all of the relevant information and presents it neatly into a simple document so the data is rather scattered and outdated, but during the 80s and 90s hanging and firearms were almost joint for first place, and almost 90% of all suicides were from firearms, hanging, poisoning, gases, and jumping (in that order).
Meanwhile, a study conducted on all suicides between 1990 and 2005 found strangulation and suffocation (presumably via hanging) to be the biggest cause.
According to the Canadian Vital Statistics Death Database, hanging was the leading cause of suicide from 2000-2009, accounting for 44% of all suicides.
Information identified as archived is provided for reference, research or recordkeeping purposes. It is not subject to the Government of Canada Web Standards and has not been altered or updated since it was archived. All I know for sure is after researching this I'm currently on a watch list.

I was going to leave this alone but since you brought it up......
Hanging oneself is a tactic, but according to this website, https://sprc.org/scope/means-suicide the top 3 are firearms, poisoning, and suffocation. Which across all age groups represent 87-93% of all suicides.
The noose hasn't been culturally relevant for close to a century in the USA.
Ultimately I find it odd that, an object so seldomly used for suicide, to be removed for that reason. Especially from a company based in a country who's government actively brags about the number of assisted suicides performed since legalizing the practice.
I feel like now would be an excellent time to point out that that data is exclusively for the United States of America, and more countries exist in the world and play dbd than the USA.
Edit: After all, if we look at the UK (as reported by the Office of National Statistics), hanging is the most common form of suicide, accounting for ~54. 2% of all suicides.
Registered deaths in England and Wales from suicide analysed by sex, age, area of usual residence of the deceased and suicide method. -
Me seeing success with Deadlock, Sloppy, and Surge because I just really don't want to kick a single gen ever again:

Let's keep this discussion civil, please. And while I am but a Community Moderator, I AM someone that adores the Twins (playing as, going against, and will become a Force Ghost on the hill that Victor NEEDS at least a hat!), and speaking as both and touching on something Mandy has brought up a few times before: please understand some bug fixes are a bit quicker/simpler to resolve than others, and that absolutely does not mean they have less priority (and of course, the bug fixing team is not the same as teams that work on other parts of the game, such as those that brought Maurice home <3 ).
Give Victor a pirate hat for the Twins' Rift cosmetics. Give him a little pig head for their Very Rare cosmetic (...that doesn't exist anymore), a groom's top hat for the wedding outfits, and also we just need a skin which turns Twins into some alien monstrosity and a horrific abomination comes crawling out of Charlotte.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
And yet you still haven't explained the joke nor how it relates to dbd... Fascinating.

anyway just in case people wanted to know ,wc' is a command in linux and im sure elsewhere too for ,,word count", though despite the name it can be used for more than just a word count.
regex is short for RegularExpression (again, linux). basically they just help you search for specific letters, key phrases, etc, and then do things with it.
i think anyway, i failed computer science.
long story short, not funny didn't laugh, but also it didn't take me 13 years to explain it with coding knowledge that's limited to python and scratch so im sure that lovely commenter couldve explained it in one of the 6 comments since making the joke where they instead decided to insult people.

Counterable? Mmm okay… Do you know how small the text is when seeing the difference between pickup and search locker? It’s still annoying? All I want is make it the same as survivor controls and make it triangle to open lockers. This so called tech isn’t so skilful when I can’t counter it because the text is soo small.

Wesker is the better killer at base with the less buggy power. Including add-ons, Plague is better imo (but dedicated servers and her power do not get along). Perk wise, Plague blows Wesker out of the water.
I don't have much experience playing either (they both frustrate me to no end for different reasons), so I'd say to actually go for Plague. She has the better perks, so levelling her will be beneficial to all of your other killers, and a lot of people will stay forever injured and infected so playing as her will teach you what you need to know about looping, tile spawns, chaining tiles, and shutting down loops, which will not only help your other killers but also your survivor gameplay.

Haven´t seen it affecting exit gates yet. As it says sometimes. If so, then it should be reported as bug. But the rest on the list seems to be pretty intentional.
Snapping Out Of It + Mending are both not healing actions. Snapping was specifically removed from being a healing action a while back, thus preventing Botany Knowledge from affecting it. As it isn't a healing action, Mangled shouldn't slow it down.
Likewise with opening a chest. Absolutely not a healing action.
Though, since it isn't gamebreaking (think COH literally crashing games, and Badham having missing walls being abusable but not kill switched), I think it's bugged but not worthy of the kill switch going on precedent.

Dead Hard isn't too strong, you're just too weak.
Boons aren't too strong, you're just too weak.
Sorry, but it's just the facts. Killers always have something to cry about 🙄🙄🙄
(or eruption is a problem, as are other things, and we can respect the fact that a perk that deletes solo queue from ever being viable and prevents people from playing the video game is probably not healthy..? nah lets just make another thread providing nothing constructive just to insult a portion of the player base)

I agree. However, I do think his difficulty to master does excuse his basekit strength being what it is.
Ultimately, the consensus on Blight (that I support) is "basekit is fine. Nerf the add-ons."
I'm not arguing against his base kit, tbh. I don't think 4.4 would kill him, as all it would do is force a reliance on his power much more (like spirit and hag and huntress) but my comment was exclusively targeted towards those 3 addons in particular because they're the most egregious ones he has, and the parts of him that I think should be changed.

I don't see those add-ons as particularly useful when it's so hard even to get a hit using Blight's Lethal Rush. Of course, this is my opinion, and no one has to agree.
Simple: because they are overbearingly good once you're able to hit a Lethal rush, and just because something is difficult to execute doesn't excuse it from being overpowered and requiring of a nerf. They are not mutually exclusive concepts, or else Nurse would never have been touched, likewise with the ability to loop and chain several tiles way back when™. Both took a lot of skill (comparative to the skill level of the player base at the time), and yet both were nerfed because despite that they were very clearly substantially stronger than they had any right to be.

@Gibberish said:
I think accessibility options are good most of the time, but only if they dont make things worse for everybody else, which is exactly what this would do. Being able to detect subtle sounds like footsteps or breathing is a skill core to the game, and adding subtitles or visuals for that stuff would remove the skill from it, because pretty much everyone would use it even if they aren't hearing-impaired. Making the game worse for absolutely everyone else just to accommodate a very, very small percentage of people. It would be like outlawing peanut butter worldwide just because a very small percentage of people are allergic.
If this was a singleplayer game, there would be absolutley no issue with adding accessibility options like that, and would be a absolutely fantastic addition, but this is a multiplayer game, so changes like that affect everybody, even those who dont have the option enabled, and in this particular case, it would be affecting them for the worse.
Or we add the feature and balance everything else around it knowing that all players are now on an even playing field, or have the option to be on one, if it's kept as an opt-in feature like the visual tr will be.

The Birkin Skin for blight is part of a new year collection, but not really lny themed (neither are the other RE LNY skins) does that means they will vanish due to a silly whim of the higherups as well?
No, the Resident Evil x LNY Collection is not time gated. Thank you Capcom.
