It's a lot of the same people, they will stream snipe POC to do it exclusively to them, and through reports of other POC and non-POC it's very obvious it's happening only to them. But people can continue to buy accounts and keep doing it, so outside of changing the masks to accessories which would require far more negotiations this is the best case scenario.
It isn't about stopping racism, it's about taking away one of the tools.

In the patch note you can read them if you want but some killer get there best addon nerf those were the addon that make them playable. Like twin toy sword got nerf, bubba carburator got the movement speed increase nerf etc...
Some perk got some nice buff but i dont think its going to be enough to see them be played a bit more exept dead man swich and boil over

I do not understand why all the masks have to go, just remove all the masks that aren't considered pc and add the ones that are. It's considered pc for Leatherface to run around with a deli style Felix face. So why not let us have it?
Because specific exclusion of POC also looks bad from a PR standpoint outside of changing them all to accessories which would require a lot more negotiations than just "lol can we get rid of these please" this was the best case scenario.

Yeah. 1% is 1/5th of the total value. It's a lot, comparatively on what I consider to be one of his best addons. The feather addons are pointless. The duration of the slow is longer than the cooldown between bottles so you can keep survivors intoxicated regardless. Sometimes I'll run double feathers to machine gun bottles for laughs, but it's not actually useful.

i thought for myself, and decided to support them. clearly you did the same, and decided that you wanted the cosmetics to remain.

stream sniping is the act of watching an individual's stream to get into their games + see exactly what they're doing, giving you an easier time. in this context, it is used to get into the games of black streamers as blackface bubba to ruin their experience.

This seems to be something much more geographical. In Brazil this never happened, everyone who wears Claudette's mask, for example, wears it for aesthetic reasons, I particularly think that bubba is more concerned with her, and I tend to make my resistances more frightening.

Pretty clear evidence there, to use one example.
And yeah, it probably is geographical- EU and NA are horrific with it, with EU also having people start to harass Asian streamers with the Jake face (though far less common than Claudette).
And again, lore is irrelevant when it comes to protecting people. There were alternatives that could've been taken, yes, but I'm fine with this outcome too because it makes the game feel overall safer. If you want to be racist you have to be pretty overt about it.

because the black mask was being used to purposefully target and harass them and nobody else in the match, leading to them feeling incredibly uncomfortable. combined with such creative names and it would lead to an incredibly discouraging, uncomfortable, and unfun experience.

I wish that instead of them being outright removed we instead got them changed to objects of the survivor's clothing that Bubba wears instead (since he does take and wear trinkets of his victims too, so it remains lore consistent while removing all of the problematic elements I can see), however I also don't have an issue with this either. I didn't feel either way, but my black friends were incredibly uncomfortable with it, so I was here to advocate for it's removal using the points they've made because they're far more knowledgeable in the topic than I am.

The most logical conclusion is BHVR was receieving complaints about this cosmetic, they know they probably can't feasibly ban people who where doing it (even though a mod said it was proveable) so instead they opted to remove it to put a pin in the problem for good (Which, again - I think is fine tbh)
Except the fact that the racist players are still probably gonna go unpunished and isn't that a scary thought
but those racist players will have to be overtly racist now, to have the same effect. they can facecamp and tunnel, sure, but players will do that anyway over the smallest of things (theyll also bm as survivor over the smallest of things, dont get me wrong). to make it properly racist and so make it hurt they will have to go out of their way to do so, which in turn will make it clear and reportable.

Im pretty sure every single game tells you in the safety measures before the game even lets you in that it contains flashing lights and so.
Show me where it says that in DBD. Also, show me where it mentions anything about the heavy reliant on audio in the game. Cause on the back of the Switch box (or the front) there's nothing about anything- just that you need online play. Hell, ######### Pokemon does it better, when it says that "Basic reading ability in one of the software languages is needed to fully enjoy this software". There is a section specifically for mentioning what is needed to play the game and DBD has no warnings. At all.
