The developers usually get things right when they design them for the first time.
-When they designed Billy for the first time, they got him right.
-When they designed Freddy for the first time, they got him right.
-When they designed the map's visuals for the first time, they got them right.
-When they designed Huntress for the first time, they got her right.
Of course, this is not ALWAYS the case, but countless things which are bad and boring right now were better on their original version.
-
The developers messed the Fog up, for some weird and dumb reason, considering how important it is for DBD.
-
Ah, no one understands this feeling better than I do.
If there is one thing I love, is Old DBD.
Far more than anyone does.
Far more than anyone ever will.

I aint gonna get all sentimental and say I have all those mushy crap nostalgic feelings, but I joined shortly after the ps4 port and there were good times and bad. Mostly good for players like myself. Say what you will about the old moris, keys, hatch, models, and animation but I never had as much of an issue with them being the way they were as others have. Probably a hot take but they just added to the already unique horror experience the game provided.
Figure you'll pop in on this one eventually @GeneralV
Damn right!
-
I'm probably on the weaker side, tbh.
-
It will never be.
-
Funny way to say "Trapper".
-
Please, stop trying to portray the killers as "poor innocent victims of Survivor-sided devs".
Killer has been winnable for a VERY long time, regardless of how hard this pill is to swallow.
-
It certainly should.
I don't think the DS nerf is impossible to adapt to, but the change was not needed.
-
Nothing, the game carries on as it always has.
-
FINALLY!
-
If it glows, it goes.
-
It is just an old joke.
A Billy resorting to M1 (or "Milly", as I like to call them) is jokingly seen as a bad player, since they failed to use the chainsaw to get the down.
It is definitely not accurate, just one of those "DBD things".
-
It literally isn't.
DBD has not been survivor sided for a VERY long time, no matter how hard this pill is to swallow.
-
The RE release was indeed atrocious.

@GeneralV What were some of your favourite parts of old Freddy? I ask as a fellow old Freddy main.
Mine was throwing on double range addons and sweeping his projection left and right across the map. It would lock onto survivors even through walls, so nobody could ever hide from Freddy.
And the over 30m range meant that the 7 seconds was not a downside since they would be asleep when Freddy was close enough to hit them anyway.
Oh, I am so sorry I missed this. The Forums being bugged right now is very annoying.
It is almost impossible to answer your question, to be honest. I loved every single damn aspect of that killer, more than anyone did and ever will. But if I had to mention something that stands out, I would mention the Spooky Freddy build.
Using RPB and M&A to have a 0 meters TR was always an amazing experience.

As much as i dislike the current version of Freddy and would want the ancient version back
No
The biggest sin of reworking Freddy was that players lost a killer they enjoyed
If they rework him again then players who enjoy him now lose the killer they enjoy too
But we, as Old Freddy mains, lost him first.
This time it would be justified.
-
A very annoying bug, I might add.

Right now? 0.
I did play with friends recently, but not sure if that really counts.
Back in the day, though, ah I played far more than I could possibly count.
-
I used to have quite a lot of fun with Old Doctor. Having two different modes was a really interesting killer design, fun to play as and against.
And now? Well, we all know what unfortunately happened. Doctor is...bland. Nothing really special about him.

fun? yes. good? hell no. Iif you were aganist casual/chill players you could have your part of fun but he was considered one of the weakest killer for a reason...
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon and @TheGannMan bring up good points, mate.
One of the few things in life you can always be sure of, is that no one knows that killer better than I do. I cannot deny the existence of weaknesses, nor the necessity to address them with small QoL improvements.
However, to say he was a contender for the weakest killer is simply...wrong. The strength was always there, but not everyone was willing to put in the effort to say it.
But anyway, the idea here is to bring him back with the QoL changes, so it doesn't really matter.

From what I've seen, it seems like a very good perk for the game.
-
It is a bug and it must go.

I've grown to dislike Q&A's.
We get about one real answer per stream and the rest are some variation on "maybe, not right now, in the future" ect ect.
I'd honestly just rather not have them at that point.
This.

Trying to learn Pig.

That is correct, yes.
Unfortunately, the grind only got slightly better for those who had actively planned prior to the change. And even that can be debatable.
The grind needed to be reduced, I don't think anyone would disagree with that, but BHVR chose the wrong way to do it.
As usual.

oh god.
you weren't here for the ghostface release. Queues were 45 minutes to an hour per Killer match.
Wesker is going to be worse.
Oh yeah...I honestly had forgotten about that.
-
Old Chapel.
Simple as that, really.
-
Did you expect anything different?
It was like expecting a tiger to stop hunting other animals. Some things do not change easily.
-
The awful Survivor experience which, in turn, is BHVR's fault.

It was.

He was just a lot more unique back when he had two modes to swap, nowadays he just feels so onedimensional, at least to me.
I really like him, but just don't play him a lot anymore :/
Agreed.
Doctor used to be a very common killer for me, especially back when I first started playing.
After the rework, however, I've barely seen him.

I would ban Ghostface, Trickster and Blight.
Those three are annoying.

1100 is my hard cap but last month I somehow broke 10,000 ping and the game didnt boot me. Idk how that's even physically possible either.
1100 is the worst I've ever got. It didn't kick me out, but that match was miserable.

There are ones that show her face but her eyes are covered.
Raggedy Ann dolls can be freaky. That's the actual doll Annabelle is based off of. From personal experience one time on the way to my brother's house we passed by trailer park in the woods and someone had hung a raggedy Ann doll from a tree by a noose so that freaked me out so anytime I see something about raggedy Ann I think of that time - although I know it has less to do with the doll and more what someone did with it.
Nurse could have raggedy Ann cosmetic where she has sack over her head with raggedy Ann face drawn on.
Whoever did it is a genius.

I dare you to say Old Trapper
Barely ever played him.
Managed to get his adept, but that was about it.
-
Very few perks have overpowered in the first place, mostly things like Old MoM and Old Undying.
It doesn't get much worse than that.
-
Trees used to spawn very close to the shack on some maps, but I don't think this is a thing anymore.
-
As long as Nurse doesn't get the Freddy-Billy-Slinger treatment, anything goes.
-
Old Freddy
Hag
Pig
Old Bubba
Huntress

The answer is no.
