    I love the over exaggeration.

"Boohoo, every game is against MoM, DH, Deliverance, Adrenaline and DS"

That is pure bull-#########. I have seen so many players run off meta perks, more than players who run meta. And yes, this is at Red Ranks.

You are NOT chained to the Billy / Nurse. Believe it or not, people don't play with MoM 99% of the time.

With that said, I'm not saying the devs shouldn't nerf it or adjust it, I'm just saying y'all are making it seem like it's impossible to play the game.

The reason MoM sucks is, yes it does synergize argueably too well with those perks. But its another Second chance perk amongst second chance perks, and one that has very limiting counter to it. Survivors have plenty of second chance perks already, this perk just limits killers playstyle if they want to play optimaly (2-3 kills or more)

MoM on its own is not a big deal. Problems come along when, with the perks you listed. And the addition of pallet/window looping, Killers are limited to a select few choices outside of Billy/Nurse if they want to choose to play optimally, which of course most killers would, because most killers would want to go with the meta perks/killers/builds.

  • Alright cool. I actually really just love to use the blade addons, and think i can think of a build that can work with them

  • Good. Be wary and stay that way until they earn your trust back. And don't give them another penny until then.

  • Its a neat idea, can add just slight bit more mindgame potential but in practice probably wont work so well against higher ranks or anyone with experience.

They do it because they have a monopoly. I make alot of money and I was buying dlc killers twice for PC & PS4. I haven't bought anything legion. Didn't buy pig or plague. I really got legion with shards.

Once a true competitor comes, they'll perish.

They won't perish. This game as it is is twitch fodder for easy clicks and views.

The only competitors around are F13, which is pratically dead. LastYear:TheNightmare which is discord exclusive atm and has a smaller fanbase. Identity Five which is probably more better game overall, but has a smaller fanbase.

Yeah no, this game is sticking around for a while.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

I don't think killers are upset with the removal of the trash tactics & exploits. If they are then yeah "git gud". I think what most find so arguably unpleasant is the Dev's didn't replace any of those with suggested valid & fair ones. Leaving legion with a vary base style of play and limiting power use & its consequences on targets.

    You pretty much nailed it.

  • @ClogWench said:

I'm really into this change honestly. Only thing I dislike is the bigger terror radius but I can mitigate that through M&A

Glad to see there are at least some people who are enjoying playing as the new legion despite the questionable changes.

  • @Plu said:

The power is worthless, way too slow, way too restricted to use.

What i loved about Legion was the fast paced " stabbing maniac" that could vault windows and pallets pretty fast to get a hit and then switch targets.

Now, with how slow it is to even do that, you hurt yourself more than anything else.

The only thing that makes Legion playable now is his small size and 115% movespeed, wich is a boring playstyle, i want to nyooooooooooom around like i used to.

Pretty much same here. I loved to vault over windows and pallets, now, i can't because i am being punished for doing so. And it doesnt net me as much bloodpoints trying to do so, so thats even less incentive to do so.

They just effectivly turned him into yet another M1 killer. While not bad itself, we already have plenty of M1 killers and powers that dont hinder them.

Legion the way he is now, is just going to be used as more proof that the Devs are blatantly ignoring feedback, which i can tell because there were both survivors and killer mains in the ptb saying legions changes were too much.

  • Your probably better off playing minecraft rather then suggesting buffs at this point. Legion has become that boring to play as, and the devs are unlikely to change them. Unless your cool for waiting around 3 years for the changes.

  • @Dehitay said:

What are they even angry about? I didn't hear about this till now. But why would anybody be mad about a licensed killer being made available?

Probably because most people can only see it as greed on the devs part. We have how many dlcs? How many licensed killers? How many cosmetics you have to buy?

That and this newest patch isn't going to be welcomed with open arms. Really this licensed killer being made available was news brought in at the worst possiible time with probably one of the most controversial updated to DBD in a while.

  • You wasted your time with this.

    See you in 2020 maybe.

  • The devs won't listen.

  • Besides the fact that this game has core gameplay that is addicting in of itself despite its terrible balance?

I made the mistake of buying DLC. And now it would feel pretty hard for me to leave without making me feel like i wasted my time/money.

  • Kill rate for killers separated by Killer and rank.

  • Injured = 10% slower action speed sounds like a good idea. Though only if it would stack with Thanta/Sloppy/Ruin.

    If not? then. No.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

It's crazy how some of y'all take anything the devs say and twist it into the worst possible interpretation of what they meant.

Because most killers are frustrated at seemingly not having a 'power' role in the game along with the frustration of all the survivors second chance perks. Pigs changes are only reinforcing that feeling.

That and recent changes to Pig and Legion make it seem like we are not playing the game that the devs have envisioned.

Like what? Don't hit you? Please, I want to hear this counterplay. You all spout off about how easy it is to deal with MoM, but everyone runs it, cuz it has no counterplay outside of chainsaws, insta-down perks, etc. There is no set-counter. Also, who cares if Legion vaults a pallet? They nerfed the hell out of him anyway, now he's slower than you are.

    Counter-Play? Exposed perks. Or Slugging.

    Thats it.

  • @ClogWench said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/443553#Comment_443553

I'm not saying don't chase survivors. I'm saying be smart about committing to a chase that could lose you the game. No it doesn't have a direct complete counter. But it's a time waster and killers have time wasters at their disposal too. MoM requires the survivor to properly ration out the hits they take and spend time healing to be able to take more.

Breaking a chase admitingly can help out a little, but that doesn't hold up if other survivors are running MoM. Thougha dmitingly, thats only with sweat tryhard SFW that quit as soon as they are down.

And again, MoM has no real counter outside of exposed perks. Sloppy + Thanta can only do so much to slow it down, but your still essentially being forced to run certain perks to counter this one specific perk that a lot of survivors are running because its apparently in the meta now.

  • @ClogWench said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/443488#Comment_443488

How does Wraith suffer any more than say Spirit or Hag? Like I said, use perks that counteract it's benefits.

So you basically want to have killers be forced to run any of the exposed perks such as NOED to counter MoM? A perk that is just way to effective at extending the chases if you lack the perks? Some of mentioned perks are locked behind DLC you have to buy or wait for the shrine to get?

How is that fair? Please Do explain your point of view on MoM is not so bad.

If you wish to receive a refund, you can file a request to Valve / Microsoft / Sony (depending on your platform) and they will follow their own guidelines to determine if you will be compensated.

So it is highly unlikely me or anyone else who bought Legion/Pig or any other dlc killer and are in disagreement with the changes you have made too them are going to be getting their money back for your updates changing the product into basically something very different then what you marketed them as?

Unless its something big like say for example (of something that never happened to me btw): I have 1,000 shard or Cells and suddenly all of them are gone even though i did not spend any of the shards/cells on anything?

  • The only thing you can do to not get duped is to not buy the damn dlc chars you can only get with cells and just invest a ######### ton of time for the shards. Least you won't be gambling IRL money.

Oh wait. You want your money/shards back? Oh. Well no. It is not going to happen.

  • @TheShape78 said:

Ok, please, someone explain to me what the issue is with the Legion. All I've seen since his release are people complaining about him, and some even going as far as to say he's the worst killer in the game, and yet, literally every single video I've seen of Legion gameplay, even from months ago when he was first released, he seems to dominate, getting hits on survivors like crazy. Now I have personally never played as the Legion, though I must admit, I am seriously considering picking up his dlc chapter to try him out for myself at some point, but I just don't see the issue. Someone please enlighten me.

Legion, Unlike Freddy was at the brunt of criticism for the right reasons. His power had no counterplay to it, and could be m2 + w+m1 = downed survivor essentially by hitting them with DW until the timers gone. The original Franks mixtape made the DW timer a 2 hit kill without a chance to dodge, and since stealth isnt as strong, nor are builds for stealth ran as much. Yoiu can see the problem.

Outside the Legions that spammed frenzy/DW with Franks. Or did the Moonwalk exploit. The Legit players are also getting short end of stick from some of these changes.

Legions speed in Frenzy was nerfed heavily, Legions speed in Frenzy and stabbing people was the whole apeal to the character and made them from a 'Edgy-Teen' to 'Sonic on cocain with a Knife'. Now the Frenzy does help with chase, to some extent, but vaulting is slower, and so is the movement speed in frenzy making them loose that sense of speed and making Legion far more of a generic w+m1 killer.

Though thats my own POV about it, you'd have to ask more players about whats wrong with legion. Not bad, still suffers the loops n such; but not terrible/unfair to play as/against either, just more generic at the current moment unless tweaks are made.

  • The changes are really hit or miss depending on who you are and who you ask.

Top tier might have been a little bit far, but he's certainly mid to high-mid. He's no where near Freddy, and if you think they are on the same level or is below than you are out of your mind friend.

Personally I think he might be more towards low tier. If he was mid tier, i think he just be either low end of mid tier. Or smack down in the middle. Maybe higher within mid-tier if the speed changes were reverted.

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

Its intentional they nerfed frenzy movement speed and frenzy vault speed on windows and pallets.

Would you imagine that a post that doesn't conform to your echo chamber beliefs is considered illogical. So far pretty much every game I've watched played from both sides perspective the Legion is doing extremely well.

Really? I only seen post saying Legion is hit or miss depending on who you ask. I am in the miss categorie, partially because frenzys vault speed is slow but can be tweaked. But mostly because i feel much slower with frenzy active.

It doesn't. Legions power Stun can be reduced through addons. Thats it.

    @GenSim12345

You do realize that scoring kills is the Killers objective?

If we use your logic, looping and gen rushing would justify a disconnect on the Killers side because it's an OP combo that's not fun to deal with and it has no counterplay.

What now? Nerf looping and gen rush aswell?

Oh look. Its the basic ######### arguement.

Yes, i do know scoring kills is the objective. But that doesn't change fact that Franks mixtape is a op addon plain and simple.

Franks mix tape has no counterplay to it pre-nerf. Gen rushing and Looping does have counterplay to them. Franks has none because you can just tunnel 1 survivor with frenzy.

If they didnt have counterplay then pratically nobody would be playing killer if meant they had to deal with the stress of gen-rush and looping. But hey, dont let facts and logic destroy your trolling to killer that mains legion :P

Umm so how did he make someone dc?

are people using mobile ion cannon with this game?

Because survivors hate the Mixtape/Dirt combo, its not fun for them because how easy Legion can score kills and it rages them out so hard they dc on the spot. Its an OP combo without any counter play if the legion decides to just spam the frenzy on you.

  • Pre-Balance DS was actualy a pretty weak perk.

Ash is the worst survivor skin.

Stealth + stealth perks are pretty powerful. [Spinechill, calmspirit, ironwill, urban evasion]

So i hate this idea that perks “punishing killers for good play” are a thing/bad. Perks aren’t inherently meant to only be activatable when your opponent messes up. Do you have the same thought about NOED? What about Make Your Choice? Why should i be punished for safely unhooking my teammate? See how stupid that is?

Perks are perks, they should be a benefit to the person who uses them, not a punishment got bad play on the opponent. Also 3 hits isn’t defeating a survivor.

MYC is perfectly balanced, promotes anti-camping, and its usefulness depends on how far away the killer is and what killer your using. Its EASY to miss the chance to make MYC work for you. Especially when looped.

NOED is a perk that counters some survivor perks by instantly downing them at the end of the game. And can be destroyed if the totems are destroyed early game, or if the hex is found.

What counter does MoM have when NOED, MYC, or other exposed perks like HauntedGrounds are not part of the equation? Instant down power or addons that create exposed, maybe Legion with his multi-stabs + FranksMixtape in PTB.

MoM is essentially a safety net, to help extend the chase. But it has no downsides besides that Aura, which doesn't matter when i can just chase someone else when i am aware that they have MoM.

  • Damn. I was hoping for cosmetics for Freddy.

  • Its not OP by itself. With the right comination of perks then yes. It could be very OP. Even then its countered by exposed effects.

The real kicker is that it punishes killers for doing their job, it feels like a bootleg DS before DS was balanced.

Its just a boring, bootleg perk that gives you a freebie when you were bad, or outplayed by the killer. As it is now its just an "Lol, ######### you, i got another free healthstate" perk with no downside besides aura reading. Which doesn't matter because its used to extend a chase.

  • @ColgateAdvancedWhite said:

It was "clever use of game mechanics" until more people started complaining about 3min mend timers (generators are done in 80 seconds, but mending took 180 seconds)

    Suddenly now it's an exploit.

1 blade is fine. 2 blades causes the bug.

Seriously? 180 seconds? I can only assume that its for both the blades + single target focusing.

Still, to be on safe side, prob gonna stick to other addons notably the purple/ pink(red?) addons cause they are awesome. Cept the mixtape, that ######### aint fun unless your trolling someone hard.

  • @artist said:

What makes running Adrenaline high risk? I only see high rewards??

  • @TAG said:

Can we please wait until they announce what the change is to complain about it? I'm ready to complain if I think the change is bad, but I'm not gonna do so preemptively.

Better get used to it now, people aren't going to stop complaining about legions changes until the PTB

  • You best hang onto them in case the new changes to the addons are good. The PTB is next week so, no reason to just dump them. Yet.

  • The only thing i would change is to not give hooked survivors full health back upon being unhooked. Leave the speed boost as it is.

  • @BleepBloop said:

I can't wait to see another killer that will never be used ever when i'm playing survivor, it's so boring playing against the same killers game after game, sure the legion had problems with Frank's mixtape and the exploit with the mending timer, but he was fairly easy to beat when the killer didn't use that stuff. I actually haven't seen a Legion killer for weeks in the games that I have played it's usually Nurse, Billy, Clown, Myers, and sometimes the occasional addon heavy spirit.

My point is the Devs are making an already weak killer weaker not just by nerfing the addons, but by nerfing the killer's power as well which is honestly just leading to another Freddy mistake or wraith with a M1 killer that is only efficiently playable at a low rank. From what I have read they only really buffed the speed and duration the terror raidous just makes the power effectively destroyed. Taking away a killer's one characteristic that set the Legion apart from the other killers and making it useless in chases which was the only thing the power was good for originally.

Some of us wanted the legion to be reworked so he was actually playable when playing against higher ranked survivors that knew what they were doing, not another Freddy.

I agree. Though i do want to add that i feel that this change to Legion will just create more Killers who are cynical/Jaded due to the devs constant questionable decisions.

  • @not_Queen said:

I say wait for the test run. There is a very good chance some of it won't make it through. No use in critiquing before it gets a full test.

Normally i would agree and wait for the test run, the problem is that these changes to Legion are not good overall despite there being good tidbits here and there. More importantly have potential to screw both Legion and Survivors which will hurt the game if my predictions are right.

Plus, maybe my critique might make an impact if it isn't drowned by "Legion is dead" from killers or "hahaha ######### legion and killer mains" from survivors. But that is a blind hope admittingly.

    @tt_ivi_99 said:

This just proves that when devs say "casual playstyle" they mean "survivors casual playstyle."

I still cant believe they are afraid to make another Billy Tier killer, considering Billy is the most balanced killer and anyone who disagrees is either trolling, incredibly survivor sided or just doesnt know ######### about this game...

They are probably afraid of making another Billy Tier killer because of Nurse, who's main gimmick pretty much ignores pallets. Though that is really speculation on my end.

  • Its buffed in a pretty ######### way. BT's DW timer probably wont go down when in killers radius if the changes are to be belived. Really its not that much a buff, its just a ######### change thats a side effect of DW change.

  • What was the thought process you had thinking of these changes for Legion? Did you want to make his power a utility or make Legions power capable of downing survivors?

  • @Ihatelife said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/426001#Comment_426001

Absolutely. Some changes are good. But rest of it are just survivor sided. And they didn't even give them any sort of buffs to deep wound or Frenzy. This is just a bad change.

Which is why i made this pretty much essay of a post within the last two hours. Really nobody is going to "win" with this, Legion is getting nerfed, and survivors will have to deal with being slugged. Both of which i feel are bad.
