Noed is fine tbh. It kinda rewards bad killers but totems aren’t hard to find bar like 3 maps
you didn't get my joke
-
This needs to be included on the next dlc trailer, just for the lolz
-
Let's call it "NerFNoeD"
-
unlike moris, keys require you to do a certain amount of gens depending on the number of alive survivors, so it's still ok i guess??

They found it in a chest so I didn't expect it and they would just pick it up and drop it
oh well, just bad luck. Just like when 2 exit gates spawn next to each other...

I'm surprised at the amount of people I've heard saying "DeAd HaRD hAs So MaNY coUntErs". The entire reason why people complain about Dead Hard is because when you use it for distance, it has no counter. It's literally pressing a button to completely erase your mistake. Also, the fact you can use it to get over Trappers traps is bullshit.
"Also, the fact you can use it to get over Trappers traps is bullshit"
Ok, how about we remove the ability to get over traps by using DH and let survivors just jump instead? Jump is a normal feature with no resource cost in so many games.
Edit: i'm a Trapper main btw.

That doesn't solve the issues this perk has.
Oh, but it does :D

Actually that was outplay. You wouldn't make it to that pallet if you didn't have that perk, you wouldn't ignore that hit if you didn't have that perk, this just shows how busted and punishing this perk is.
If it bothers you so much just run instadown killers/builds to counter it maybe?

I hope you set this as a wallpaper.

So it's okay to not get punished when opponent outplayed you, by simply pressing one button?
You can't outplay them if they were counting on that perk already.

Another "nerf whatever makes me lose" thread, yay!

I was expecting "play something else"

I am not surprised. There are lot of different people playing this game. Some or newish and are too immersed. Some are selfish.
I am just careful not to judge others before knowing enough.
Well, worst case scenario they'll die in a video game. Judging is not that important here.

I'm holding my tongue to be nice, but let's just say your "situational awareness" is not as good as you think it is in fact. I play a lot and I keep track of my teammates as much as humanly possible, but even I don't know what they have been up to entirely until the end of the match and I look at their points. Survivor is a 4v1 and that means you take the hit. Hell, I'll take the HOOK if it means there is a better chance we all get out together. Thus, if someone is on their third and I haven't taken one, I'm taking the hit and will even go down to make sure they get away because I can serve some hook time.
Your attitude, and confidence in what you think you know, is not a good thing for a group of Survivors. I hope your name in the game is the same as it is here (mine is) because I'm dodging any lobby I get lumped in with you. You don't sound like a teammate I can rely on when things get rough.
Chill it's just a game

Hahaha those people are the best.
How many times that has happened to me, gen almost done.
Survivor being chased, oh really, you really think so heh?
I'll bring the killer to you 🤣
Yeah dude, that's one of the reasons why i always drink when playing DbD 🤣

You have a point but you can't keep an eye on everyone during a whole game while doing things yourself too. Sometimes maybe it will appear that someone looks useless judging by their aura but you don't know the whole story.
It's quite easy to tell tbh. If we are facing a stealthy killer i can understand why someone is crouching, for instance, but if someone gets hit and the other guy keeps urban evading on the other side of the map then i know what kind of teammate i got.
Also, it's not always about me being able to see them. I also run better together and you would be surprised (or not) about the amount of times i gotta stop working on a 90% gen because some smart guy decided to bring the killer to me while being chased.

How do you KNOW if they have been useful in a match? Unless they stood around you all game, it is impossible to tell how many loops they may have taken the Killer on even if they haven't been working Gens, how many unhooks, how many Gens touched. Wouldn't it be better to lean to the side of caution and take that hit?
Well, i run both Kindred and Bond, so i'm quite aware of what everyone is doing.
-
A bit more as a survivor. And 70% of the killer time as Trapper.

Well to be perfectly honest trying to save someone in a chase, if done badly, looks a lot like sandbagging and has the exact same effect. I've had many teammates run up to me to I presume distract the killer and end up body blocking me and getting me killed.
I accidentally did that once to someone lol. What a funny endgame chat i had.

Yeah but most other games don't cuck you like DBD does.
I'm a veteran ESO pvp player, i've been through way worse situations 🤣
-
That's the worst thing in any game. not just DbD.
-
I'm not a pig main but i like to play as her a lot.
Yeah, i don't get it. Trapped survivors can go try to remove their traps while i focus on survivors working on gens.

as long as you don't then go and call the Killer out for tunnelling in chat, even though you could have prevented it 😜
No, in that case a thank them for killing the useless survivor.

Everyone says that but it's usually the person who was hiding all game that wasnt hooked.
Well, i always work on gens, and if i'm injured i finish the gen first then heal, assuming there's someone around to heal me, if not i keep looking for gens.
I got bond, i know what you guys are up to.
-
I'll take the aggro if that survivor has been somewhat useful during the match. If not then they can die, even if that means i must die too.
-
Farming is boring. I'll do gens, you can either stop me or let me be, but i won't be there longer than necessary. (Except when someone deserves a few tbags at the exit gate)
-
Any other answer is just wrong.

I agree with most you said. While some things can definitely be improved, most of the community just rant on impulse after losing a game and want everything going their way. They basically want to win all the time and every obstacle to that needs to be crushed.
You completely agree with what i said because i said "MOST of the nerf/buff threads", not "ALL" ;)
-
@PerfectlyPink said:

You contradict yourself.
Think about it, this person was saying that the frustration of playing killer was damaging them mentally, but they still continued to play despite this, which means that they really care about the game. One of the lead developers saying "You should just play something else" kinda seems like a big middle finger to the people who want the game to succeed
They might care about the game but many of them also want the game to work as they want, without givinig a **** about the other side.
Just take a look on the forums, most of the nerf/buff threads can also be translated into "change this because that's what makes me lose and instead of trying to use my skills to deal with it i rather have you devs to nerf it"

Except that the specific question he was responding to was about how the poster was getting genuinely angry and depressed in real life from playing Killer from how unbalanced the game was. How is suggesting they take a break not good advice? The entire stream had the devs already talking about their plans on balancing the game, so what do you think he should've said? Repeating what they had already talked about earlier that stream?
People have taken that quote out of context maliciously for years. No f*cking sh*t he doesn't interact with the community much anymore, with how immature and whiney it is.

I don't know that
"Our game is really frustrating, but we wont fix that so just go play something else" is "Good and legit" advice
Frustrating is a personal feeling, that doesn't mean everyone has to feel the same way when playing killer.

I understand she's weak but it's insane that you can't do anything if she puts a helmet on you and decided to tunnel I looped her for 4 gens then got a helmet on me before the 5th then slugged me until low health to hang me and tunnel me again when I got off
I would take that as a compliment tbh

Yeah. Honestly I am all for civil discussion and criticism but people are being so angry it is crazy.
Why can't everyone calm down?
My guess is lack of real problems.
I personally struggle trying to figure out why people can get so mad over a videogame.
-
I would rather ask everyone to stop complaining.
-
I was in a similar situation once. The killer was an infinite T3 Myers btw :)
-
You can't
-
Even if this post goes against the forum rules i think mods should keep it.
You just reported a bug, got punished for it, created a ban appeal, which is the way they tell you to deal with this kind of situations, and yet you are in the exact same situation? Someone has to do something.
Sometimes i wonder why do they bother on hiring people just to act like if they were some kind of AI instead.

Stridor Spirits do use their eyes and ears, it only makes it easier to hear survivors.
The reason why I listed off sound cues, was because one guy said that Spinechill was the only to counter stealth killers, and that they don't have sound cues, which is incorrect.
This thread is about if Spinechill needed to be nerfed, not about Spirit using Stridor. I like how you said I was the one who missed the point.
And my comment was a reply to a especific comment, but i like how you ignored that 👍️

Nice whataboutism.
- Good Spirits do use grass to track survivors.
- Spirit can't see blood unless she's running Father Glasses.
- Most times survivors walk to avoid leaving scratchmarks, meaning The Spirit can only look out for grass and use her ears.
I'm not saying Stridor Spirit is balanced, but comparing a perk that is only good on one killer, to a perk that is useful against every killer in the game is a stupid comparison.
Nice way to miss the point.
The guy i replied to said to just use eyes and ears and i my point was "why don't stridor spirits do the same then"?
Stridor being good only on one killer doesn't make it any different since killers have their own powers while survivors are just skins.
