Try having worse problems, that might help you realize it's just dumb to get mad at video games.

I don't think they do it on purpose. They probably google about the topic, click on first link they find and continue the 5 yo thread.

His streams were so much fun, too bad he hasn't done one in a long time, but we can probably guess why he stopped.
I have no idea honestly, why?
Is it because he triggered some salty snowflakes and the company told him to stop or something?

Mathieu Cote, that guy is a legend.
-
Lmao i read "Covid killer"
-
They also like to say that the role they play is more difficult than the other.
-
Lol i'm the opposite. If i'm on the hook and see someone tbagging like "hey, i found the hatch" i kill myself right away.
Denying the 4K is more important.
-
And if you get good enough to beat them then they will come to the forums to complain about survivors being too op :)

I see you totally missed the point. Not debating who DC's more, but when its affecting my rank I have a problem with it.
Your quote: "But just to add on if killers could see DS, Deadhard, Borrowed Time and Adrenaline or what not before a game and they disconnected survivors would have something to say about that."

Did you read past the first sentence? Would you really prefer a killer that goes afk over a lobby dodging one?
I would rather get slapped in the face than a kick in the nuts, that doesn't mean i'm ok with being slapped in the face.

Survivors can choose to run DS or Unbreakable, even if they don't run it, Killer's are forced to play around it and assume they have DS and/or Unbreakable. Also in a SWF, you can balance your perks across 4 people, so actually you are wrong again: survivors and killers do not need to take equal chances, a Killer only has 4 perk slots and these need to account for all playstyles, this is why you usually see the same strong combinations of perks being ran (Corrupt + Pop, or slowdown Hex perks).
Also if your comment was aimed at someone who called them "cheaters", why did you literally quote my comment in yours? You obviously were aiming that comment at me, champ.
It is a matter of how situational a perk is, that's the entire reason why niche perks like Mad Grit will never be recommended in any build that is close to a "meta build".
I count you've been wrong 4x now in like 10 minutes, maybe stop posting lol
Also you said "4 perk slots to account for all playstyles".
I got 4 perk slots too. If i decide to run a healer build against the Plague i'm kinda screwed, don't you think?
The difference between you and me is that i can accept the fact that i was unlucky and move on to the next match while you rather complain.

Whats wrong about lobby dodging? The game hasn´t started. No one is affected. I prefer someone who lobby dodges over someone who disconnects, suicides or afks because they don´t like the map, killer, or whatever.
If you really are asking me "what's wrong with lobby dodging" then i rather end the conversation right now, thanks xD

I meant the first comment i made which you used to reply to me, since you replied to that comment i assumed you hate to face bocyblockers too, that's why i said that.
Again, if you want to run your meta builds then go for it, but don't complain about bodyblockers because you have a perk which completely counters that.
Your comments make me think that you have little experience in games based around builds, so let me tell you this. You gotta make your builds around your main strengths or weaknesses and use your skills to deal with everything else. So please, stop crying lol

But honestly, why are people so scared that killers get a SWF indicator? Whenever the SWF problem pops up, people claim, that there are barely SWF players out there and that the majority of the playerbase plays solo. IF that would be true, then this indicator would have a minor impact and shouldn´t bother most players.
Unless, we have far more SWF players than everyone wants to admit. Because in that case, the devs would need to balance around SWF instead of solo queue.
People don't want a SWF indicator because some killers are dodging lobbies already for even dumber reasons, like P3 skins or 2 flashlights.
-
@JPA said:

Like I said, it's too situational to be worth running as you basically need to have auto-include perks like Corrupt, Pop, BBQ and then others depending on your Killer.
Also it's a complete guess whether the current lobby is a SWF, and then another guess if its a SWF that would use the bodyblock tactic (or a good SWF that will split on gens and not cluster up). So your argument to just use Mad Grit is flawed.
Guess what, BOTH survivors and killers have to take their chances when selecting their perks, survivors even more since killers can see what items are gonna be used before starting the match.
My comment was aimed to someone who called "cheaters" to bodyblockers and i assumed he hated people doing that, that's why i said "if it bothers you so much then run this perk". It's not a matter of how situational or not a perk is.

The game was (and still is) designed around 5 solo players with no communication.
If killers had a SWF indicator, they could dodge. But how is this any different, than that other thread, where someone proposed to vote ban certain killers? Just one side wanting to have an easier match. Would be a shame, if the other side also would want an easier match, wouldn´t it?
Yeah i saw that thread and it was nonsense. People already told OP why that is a bad idea too.

Look, someone who doesn't know Mad Grit is a hugely situational perk which is not worth 1 of 4 slots a Killer has available because the pressure of any half decent survivor team mean they must run one of a very small pool of meta perks at all times :D
Then don't complain about bodyblocks maybe? The counter is there, if it bothers you so much then use it.
-
@Tsulan said:

Mad Grit would be a solution IF killers could see that survivors are SWF.
But we both know why killers being able to see who is SWF would be a bad idea.
I've been playing solo for a long time, but back when i used to play with friends i always told them the stay on gens unless gates were open. It's way better to give them the hook than stop working on gens.

Killers either lobby dodge or DC too when they see they are being taken to a map they don't like. Let's not pretend only one side DCs, ok? xD

I've been using better together since it was released. In my personal experience people do come to help me with gens and it's quite useful, my problem is when someone is being chased, sees the gen's aura, and yet decides to take the killer to me.
Also, if someone doesn't want to repair the gen i'm working on it's probably because they think it's better to work on different gens, and that's perfectly fine. I would probably do the same too.

Having sense of humor can get you banned eventually.

Underrated killer.

Since Thrill of the hunt works as a totem counter already i think it would be better if the totem counter for survivors was added to a perk as well, like small game for instance.

Exactly. Spine chill let's survivors know the killer is somewhere around. It completely defeats the purpose of the stealth mechanic of those killers (more than 1 killer, mind you) with just one perk. You act like a stealth killer getting the surprise attack means survivors don't still have their complete arsenal of windows, pallets, and loops at their disposal.
Ok so should we nerf Whispers as well since it tells that a survivor is around even if they are hiding inside a locker? Btw, Whispers doesn't have any counter at all, Spine chill does.
You act like Spine chill leaves stealh killers powerless, which is completely false.

Spine chill is an issue, because of how it counters the stealth aspect of stealth killers. Again, what's the point of having stealth killers if a single perk (a perk without even a cooldown, mind you, and speeds up survivor actions from just having the killer look in their direction).
I cannot agree with you that this perk is fine. You're only looking at it from the point of view of survivors.
Lmao, it's you that you are only seeing it from the point of view of killers.
Stealth killers with undetectable have:
- No Terror Radius.
- No Red Stain.
- Blocks aura reading perks
Spine chill just lets survivors know the killer is somewhere around, it DOES NOT disable any of those features. It doesn't even tell the direction they are coming from nor how close they are.
Don't forget that survivors have to use one of the 4 perk slots to counter something that they might find or not, that's another reason why i'm saying the perk is fine. PLUS YOU JUST NEED TO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE TO COUNTER IT, JUST MOVE YOUR CAMERA A BIT FFS LOL.

Nah. Basically you're saying "it's uncontereable so I have to do something else". If you let it go, then they will work on gens while you're not chasing them. Even if you do kill the other two, you'll need to hook at least one of them in order for the hatch to appear, yes, perhaps no gens would be done but they will be jumping in lockers until their flashlights run out.
Nah, i'm saying that it's such a stupid tech that i don't even need to bother with it because they aren't working on gens while doing it. First they need to find 2 lockers together then get my attetion. Of course i can fall for it once if the other guy was inside the other locker already, but i won't fall for it twice.
"perhaps no gens would be done but they will be jumping in lockers until their flashlights run out"
Then there's nothing to worry about, i got my 2K already and will probably get 2 more soon.

Nurse is the only killer to ignore them and she's a huge complaint amongst killers and survivors, but does not address the issue of Spine chill and stealth killers.
Spine chill is not an issue, especially because there's a counter, as i have already said.
Survivors don't know where killers are coming from or even if they are targeting them. Not all maps are outdoors either, so survivors can't always look around to see if the killer is coming, and if they can hear them then that's a guaranteed hit.
If Spine chill was part of the base kit i would agree with you, but it's a perk, so it's fine.

Why should survivors be able to 'counter' an entire killer mechanic? Why bother having stealth killers at all then? Being undetectable to spinechill wouldn't stop survivors from doing gens and looping, so what exactly is the issue other than shitting on the stealth killers?
Some killers completely ignore game mechanics, like the nurse, so why can't survivors have a PERK that helps them against stealth killers?
Gonna repeat what i said 3 posts above:

What about flashlights that are found in-game and could lead to this tech? Whoops, now you didn't equip Lightborn, what a shame.
So 2 guys who wasted time on looking for chests and were lucky enough to get 2 flashlights? That's ok for me because they weren't working on gens.
Also, if that ever happened to me i just need to be smart enough to get rid of the guys working on gens first. Once there are only 2 left they can't do the flashlight/locker tech anymore because no one else would be working on gens. It's called "playing smart" :)

Because it totally makes sense equipping a perk for every single trial on the off chance a very rare tech might be used against you. /s
Lightborn is not only useful for that tech. Also, unlike survivors, killers can see what they are facing in the lobby and prepare for that.
Killers have too much information already and ways to counter stuff, yet here they are, complaining about how they can't counter everything by default. Perks exist for a reason, use them.

You're gonna get a LOT of survivor mains protesting this. They don't want stealth killers to be able to actually sneak up on them.
It looks more like some killer mains don't want survivors to have some sort of counter to things at all, which is the purpose of many perks.

that's not at all comparable,
Gen auras are secret knowledge that is only shown to the killer so they can patrol and the game isn't made ridiculously easy for survivors
Hook states much like the Generator counter (that is shown to both sides) is common knowledge that if it were the only thing you were focusing on you could count without the UI features
My point is that killers already have more information than survivors do. There's no need to give them a hook counter as well because it would only make tunneling easier, so be happy with what killers got. If it was up to me they wouldn't even be able to see who they are facing in the lobby or what items survivors are carrying.
-
I would also add "make sure the last survivor waits for the killer to come so they can see them tbagging before going through the hatch" to that strat.
That would make it perfect imho.
