Was the SC nerf really that impactful?
SC sucks so bad now. Even with Botany. Unless you're healing teammates.
At the same time, the way the games have been going, who wants to potentially waste a med kit?

The meta perks just hid the issue.
The issue is that the base-game is flawed and needs to be fixed with real changes, not bandaid fixed with perks locked behind a pay wall.
Be careful. If you mention pay2win the post magically disappears.

I looked at the 'looking for friends' posts for DBD on xbox today. It made solo queue look appealing. People are requesting that other players have at least 10 hours of dbd gameplay under their belts and half of them are ages 10-14.

The best thing is when you get into a map with all survivors having same skin and load out 4 med kits. And when you accidentally hard tunnel one. They get super salty when you just couldn't tell who you were chasing till they were downed.
Or better yet you knew you were tunneling but just didn't care cause when toxic survivors give you a reason to be mean. You be mean.
I was about to say the same thing.

It's a very serious joke that we gather here to discuss.

It allows you to treat your fellow survivors and killers like actual people, even on forums-- and we all know how tough that one is.
Oh, and also the perk is awesome.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SXBQTN6CQ6RW/iconperks-empathy.png
I switched Iron Will out with it a while ago (before the IW nerf), and I was shocked to see how much work it's done. Empathy gives you multiple hefty bonuses that aren't immediately obvious just from the description:
- It's radius is huge, and I don't think there's any map it doesn't fully cover. You have eyes on every injured survivor, at all times.
- You can roughly pinpoint the location of a killer if a survivor is being chased, whether via watching them get injured or by studying their movements. This info lets you know where you need to be and what's safe to work on.
- It synergizes incredibly with healing perks like Botany and We'll Make it, of course. Being a heat-seeking healing station to survivors close by has saved many, many of my teammates.
- It gives an early warning if a survivor who's obviously being chased is sprinting straight at the gen you're working on.
- If a survivor is about to need a bodyblock or a flashlight save, you don't need to scramble to find them and the killer-- you can see them clearly, and get to where they're going to be instead of flying blind.
It's up to you to put this info to good use, of course. If you spend the whole game running to the opposite side of the map just to heal Claudette, you're probably just wasting your time.
But damn has it been treating me good, and I encourage you all to give it a shot, too.
Agreed. I love Empathy. It gives the user so much information.
Sometimes I like to run Empathy, Kindred, Windows of Opportunity and Open-Handed. Just to do it, really.
Be careful. Empathy can become very addictive. Lol
Imagine if Bond had that range.

I will move over to Unbreakable, haven't had much luck with exponential as the boon gets snuffed really quickly. Granted this doesn't happen every game but seems to be prevalent lately.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3169883#Comment_3169883
Seems to be the general consensus is basically just wait it out. Unfortunate but seems to be the reality.
Boons can be a gamble sometimes. I don't usually use Unbreakable, but I've been considering using it more and more, lately.
-
Try using Unbreakable? Maybe use Boon: Exponential? I mean, if it keeps happening to you they might be good perks to consider.
-
I usually let everyone escape. Although, ever since the that one update, I accidentally kill them all bc it's so easy to do.
-
I would not press the button. All good things come to an end. Plus its just a video game.

Can't afford the killers rn, and any of the killers that are the best are hardest on console with controller (so I've heard) I pretty much main Hag.
Try Doctor.

No. I think that they should add helicoptors to the game.

DH just get close and move your camera they will DH and then go down.
Honestly, I wouldn't even notice if survivors are using DH or not when I play killer. I just kill all of them no matter what now. It's so easy that I kill them all even if I wasn't planning on it.

I remember when I first started playing. I was running baby nea with urban.. good times.
Yeah, I had a nostalgia flashback. When ya didn't have a lot of perks to choose from, those were some of the go to perks during early gameplay.

I can't wait to use Urban Evasion. Maybe I will use Self Care and play as Claudette.

If i chase a survivor who gave me a hard time for 2 minutes with 1 gen left, while that last survivor was hiding in the corner waiting for hatch without touching a gen. I'll definitely give that survivor a chance to rat the last one and give the hatch to the more deserving one.
And I will gladly run in the direction of the survivor who hid in a locker or a corner for the majority of the game. Especially if they were not unhooking anyone and/or not doing gens.
-
It's funny that people use the word "skill" when they talk about this game.
-
I don't even try to escape anymore, really. I think that after I finish the current tome I might take a break until the next anniversary event. This game has become a huge waste of time and it's not very fun anymore. It's basically turned into Among Us with better graphics.

Increase the penalty for DCing. By a lot.
Rework/remove the kobe-ing system so you can't suicide on hook in 10-15 uninterrupted seconds.
No, you can't stop people who really really want to be out of the game, but you can make ragequitting as much of a punishing, grueling process as possible to make it not worth the effort for some people.
They could add a helicopter to the game to stop the kobe-ing.

Yeah I feel some killers are so jaded by SWF bully squads they treat all survivors like they are in a swf... which isn't fair to them.
I feel like people start to believe in so many game related stereotypes that they brainwash themselves into thinking a lot of really strange things about a video game. It's almost surreal, at times.
-
Buy it for me.
-
Because when you're playing killer you're potentially playing against 4 people in a swf group. When you play solo queue survivor, you are playing with 3 random people who are not communicating.

Dbd is a very "toxic" game by it's nature and mechanics. It's something i would only recommend if you're in a stable mental condition. If you play too much of it, you easily get frustrated as there are many situations that feel punishing and unfair (for both sides!) and you just have to go through them until the game finally ends. People don't know when to stop and then they keep on playing and fall into a black hole.
Those people you encountered have probably played way too much Dbd recently.
Then eventually you'll reach the 12th stage of enlightennent and realize that none of it actually matters and that you're just wasting time and entertaining yourself by playing a video game about murder.

I only read a few posts here explaining the quitting but they were pretty spot on. It won’t stop until they fix all the things that make solo q a terrible experience. The only reason I still play is because I’ve resigned myself to losing all the time as the price of playing. I still get to enjoy some good plays, try stuff out, and get a tiny bit better every game and have the occasional decent game. But honestly it’s just a totally unfair miserable experience in solo q. It’s surprising they still have a game. And when players on my team quit, I get it. I don’t lose my ######### like some here on the forums do. Maybe because I know the game is likely going to be a bad loss anyway so whatever… next game. I don’t bring my best items when I solo so I don’t lose anything to get mad about.
Yet at the start of every match we still feel hopeful. Or at lesst I do. Plus I'm using up all of my brown offerings. It's not all bad. Just mostly bad. Lol
-
An option to vote to end the game would be awful. If people voted to end a game I was enjoying then I would go into vote to end every game for the next 3 years mode. Actually, now that I think of it, that is an awesome idea. I would vote to end every game right when it starts. Let's make this happen.
-
I like long games.
-
What? I fell asleep playing dbd.

I'm not great at keeping up with internet culture, but isn't "skill issue" a meme term? As in, people only ever use it sarcastically or as a way to bust peoples' balls?
I really wouldn't think much of it.
Yes. Only baby lizard people with vulnerable, unplated bellies use the term. Then when their belly plates are fully formed and they feel more protected, they move on to sayings such as "git gud". Although, some of them never grow out of using terms such as "skill issue". Trust me, I'm a scientist.

Practice makes perfect. Gotta brush up on those skillz.

They should re license it with Clive so we get more stuff they did him dirty with all the nft stuff
Yeah I just read about that. It would be awesome if they got in touch with Clive. Hellraiser, Candy Man, Rawhead Rex and Nightbreed are all excellent.
-
Yes to Hellraiser. Female Cenobite would be awesome. Or Angelique from Hellraiser Bloodline.
-
Send them 20k or 30k and I'm sure they'll think about it.

Well that is good news.

I have no idea how Wesker keeps murdering everyone so swiftly with all of these issues.

After 5th fun match in a row I finally set up recording. These were a fine games and we can clearly see that no overpowered perk of filthy survivors can be abused, and killer can "secure a kill" and "apply proper tactic".
https://idiod.video/uo6ywg.mp4
I think the next smart move would be to remove all exhaustion perks, built-in BT and increase gen repair time to 5 minutes. Yay! Thank god Reassurance was nerfed!
I think they should remove the exhaustion from the exhaustion perks and have no cooldown. So we could use them over and over right away.

Survs can always use op perk combos to plunder advantage... meanwhile, too many situation can consume killer player's enthusiasm.
Like, 8 hooks but 0 kills then 4escape and 4 ggez, 4 downs but 3 selfheal up with perks, infinite stun combo, and also gen rush. DBD always ignore these depressing gameplay.
It's just feel like, they never treat killer players like their customer, but as an AI enemy, or toy for Surv . Surv always can feel achievement by using Op perk combos and chat channel. While killers can't have fun with the game, always be worn down in enthusiasm all the time, even they spend thousands of hours in practicing... They nurfed Huntress, Sprit, Billy... And which is the next...
There should be some reason to attract players play killer...
I highly suggest switching to solo queue survivor so you can embrace entirely new arguments. It has helped my arguments tremendously.
-
Money. We need to nerf Bhvr bc they keep making money. We all know they're going to keep releasing new killers AND survivors. Plus they'll probably add new maps too. Smh

Oh yeah, the vast majority of SWFS are 2-3 man's right now though. So even in solo q, you will often get paird with a duo SWF who don't care about you sadly.
It felt like that last night in half of the games I played. As if they were saying "oh you finished the gens? Bye! Thanks for unhooking all of us!".

At least 10 years.
