Artist - 2 meta perks and her 3rd one is still very usable
Blight - Undying is good in any hex build and blood favour/dragons grip have their moments
Sadako - Call Of Brine is good, Floods is viable and Merciless varies from eh to amazing depending on the skill of your oponents
Pinhead - Plaything sorta needs perks to play around but can still get some value, Deadlocked is just great passive slowdown and info, Gift of Pain is also a decent passive slowdown
Those would be the top ones that have at least 3 usable teachable perks
In terms of killers you shouldnt level
Freddy - 3 awful perks, Bloodwarden can be funny sometimes at least but the other 2 are pretty dreadful.
Wraith - Bloodhound can be alright for learning how to track blood, Predator is awful and Shadowborn is just QOL perk
Nurse - Nurse's Calling is pretty ######### against the current run away to COH to heal gameplay, stridor is useful on 1 killer. thana is useful on 2 killers
Doctor - Overcharge is good but pretty much a worse Call Of Brine, Monitor can be alright and useful on some killers but overall just not worth the slot and overwhelming is just underwhelming
Pig - MYC is fun on certain killers, Dragons Grip and Call of Brine do Surveilance's job better, hangmans trick is just #########
Twins - When Oppression is your best teachable it says a lot. Their teachables are almost as unloved as them :)
Demo - If for some reason you have demo as a new player he literally has 0 teachables dont make my mistake and prestiege him hoping for jolt on everyone.
Oni - Windows of Opportunity on the side that doesnt need it, an obsession switching perk thats useless on its own and exhaust injured survivors. Not good
Pyramid Head - Once again his best teachable is already a bad perk
The rest have 1 redeeming perk or 2 okish perks that save them from being in the dont level category but dont have quite as good of a complete set as the previously mentioned ones you should level.

Corrupt intervention - Plague
Deadlock - Pinhead
Those are the two most useful universal perks in the game.
Discordance is good in this meta - Nemesis
Corrupt isnt super useful anymore. It has its moments but not huge imo and its very much a perk you need to capatalise on. If you get a down 20 seconds into the match its a wasted perk.
-
Well when did you last play them. Their power got massively changed the midchapter before last

I dont get why everyone is so hell bent on nerfing faking your teleport its one of the few unique things current freddy can do and probably the only part of his kit that you actually have to learn. The only issue is maybe DMS but other than that I dont really care about him being able to face his tp

Your whole "Explosions always occur in the game to favor the Killer when a Survivor fails an action" is like entirely wrong because so do fast vaults, pallet drops, and a bunch of other things youre supposed to do. Surge and Eruption also cause explosions with the survivors doing absolutely nothing. Explosions happen for like 10 other reasons other than missed skillchecks and of them all missed skillcheck explosions are probably the ones I encounter the least cause who misses skillchecks anymore other than unlucky time when leaving
Overall unhooking explosions being removed would do near nothing at the high level and only effect baby players.

I mean compared to a human a Gorilla being a normal Gorilla is a power. A Gorilla simply racing towards you while beating its chest and shouting is a typical Gorilla behavior that puts the fear of God into you.
Exactly. Just a gorrila that does gorrila things in a gorrila way.
-
@RiskyKara said:
Naturally just shoving a Gorilla by itself isn't a good killer, obviously there would have to be some primal based power and some other elements to make them horror. But to make the argument FOR a basic Gorilla we can take the fundamentals of horror antagonists and make them apply here.
Horror relies on the concept of 'the other' or some creature that is unnatural to a circumstance or within an entire setting and situation that is unnatural to the protagonist (Which should be a natural extension of the audience.) That's why the less we know about it the better. For example, if you put an Orc in a fantasy setting, that's just a normal every day occurrence. You put an Orc in a modern day setting that doesn't typically have orcs, and have it hunt in the night you have horror. I'd say that the latter example is very similar to your slasher horror.
So by that context alone a Gorilla outside of its element in a situation that is intrinsically not natural or not safe for humans can easily be horror. Narratively speaking this would be a classic story of Man V. Nature, this isn't that uncommon for horror either. If you look at Western's a lot of horror found there was in the wildlife like bears, wolves and mountain lions.
A lot of the killers we have already have elements of not knowing it's motive like Dredge and Demogorgan. Essentially primal forces of nature that just kill for the sake of killing.
I also did a quick google search and discovered that a Gorilla's strength can be as much as 4 times that of a human which got me thinking. A 4v1 is a perfect match against a gorilla which is the asymmetrical formula that DBD uses.
I don't necessarily know what the power of a Gorilla could be, but I do know that I would be terrified if I were being pursued by a Gorilla especially in the indoor maps.
Opinions? Thoughts?
NO I just want a gorrila. No fancy power because gorrilas dont have powers. Just a gorrila that does gorrila #########.

The spreads themselves don’t usually bother me on any of the maps, they’re all kind of similar-ish. There are definitely a few specific gens that are annoying to defend though, like the generator at the top floor of Disturbed Ward.
I pretend that Garden of Joy matches only have 4 gens because ######### that main building gen.

How on earth do you come to this conclusion from this post. THEY MENTION 2 MAPS WITH REALLY STRONG 3 GENS.

Are you playing like a few patches behind? Wraith used to be good but now is kinda trash again. Luckily not bad to the dark times though.

It doesn’t make sense, when every other loss of health state from any other killer in the game causes you to lose collision. Survivors probably should have an animation where they fight the zombie back and kill it after taking damage or being infected, to prevent lose-lose situations between Nemesis and the zombies. Seeing as zombies have infinite respawns too.
If they had that animation would they then not get a speedboost? because how can you fight off a zombie while sprinting away.

@OrangeBear said:
You are probably not going to like to hear this but i recently was made aware of a way that survivors can confirm if a killer has blood warden before it activates.
If you have Distortion and you go into the exit area and a token is consumed, it means the killer has it.
Object is even better since it means any time you stand there you see the killers aura

I really don't understand why it got patched. It's not like people were actually taking advantage of it. Even most survivors thought it was fun.

To be honest, I don't really "make assumptions" or judge players because of their names. They usually don't mean anything.
You see, one time I played against a Survivor that literally had "Damian Wayne" as his username.
I loaded into the match expecting to face an annoying brat. Instead I got a very respectful player.
Names can be deceiving.
Normally idc about names but when people try to make names more annoying to report its always suspicious to me. Also generqally I assume nobody is hacking if its not blatant like though people who notice 2 or 3% speed boosts seem to have like superhuman gamesense to me. But like sometimes the guy named lllIlllIIlllIIIlI with a private profile and no perks in a game where gens seemed a little too fast just seems suspicious to me even if I dont report them.

Team 2 has the best balance of common to rare characters. While sadako is rare enough the other 3 are pretty common so my bets there.

pallet breaking? ... are you kidding me?... Have you read the patchnotes?... faster Pallet breaking for all killers is not the reason for this post mate. please read the patch notes.
Sorry if I dont feel like typing out half of the patchnotes in a comment. The speed boost after hit is the only one that is really relevant towards the strongest killers. Blight and Nurse both have fatigues making the weapon cleaning useless and ignore pallets largely. Cleaning animation and pallet breaks mostly only benefit m1 killers with little antiloop or killer where holding W and predropping is their main counter who make up the majority of the bottom tier.
-
@Khelendrose2020 said:
I'll meet your Deathslinger and raise you a Nemesis. Talk about a joke, I keep wanting to run him, then I do and remember why he's bottom tier. 3 hits to infect, wound and down. No real chase ability. Joke of a range ability. Too many antidotes. Too easy to dodge his tentacle. At least Deathslinger can shoot at short range, wounds even if he does not hit with melee, and has a few decent addons.
Eh nemmy definitely has his upsides. Tier 2 can make him very strong at short loops or loops reliant on the pallet. Low walls he excels at and STBFL makes him an absolute monster at catching up. While they are pretty worthless at hitting survivors zombies give pretty good info. While his range isn't the best his attack is much faster than Pyramid Head who I would consider the closest killer to him.
I only got Nemmy a few days ago but Ive been winning next to all my games with him despite not using a 4 slowdown build and except for a few rough SWFs and a red forest or two typically dont have many escapes and these are just my 2 cents on him.

dude! What is your point? Read my original post! Literaly my first sentence! THATS WHY THERE ARE CLASSES! Because the M1 killers need a buff. You need 2h time to understand what I wrote in my first sentence gz.
EDIT: Because we have no classes this killer buff who is needed for M1 killers also buffed S and A Tier killers for no reason. Everyone plays S and A tier anyway! Its like giving everyone in the world 1Mio$ but because of that an inflations starts and everything gets expensive and at the end people who had nothing will stay with nothing -> in our case if trapper gets the buff but also nurse why would I play trapper if nurse is even stronger now. Thats the mindset of most people -> strongest killer to win more often
Thing is buffs like pallet breaking speed do only apply to some killers mostly. When was the last time you saw a nurse break a pallet. Most times blight breaks a pallet is with his power. The best way to balance the game is to drumroll please.... just balance killers individually. This patch was because kill rates AS A WHOLE were too low. Not just trappers and sadakos they though the general kill rate was too low so they buffed killers as a whole. Whether that was a good descision or not is still up in the air but BHVR did exactly what they sought to accomplish with this patch.
If trapper isnt doing great its because of his power not because he breaks pallets at the same speed. Breaking pallets faster for underperforming killers is just a bandaid fix and doesnt adress the real reason killers are weak. Eventually their power will be so neglected cause they keep buffing other aspects that the way they will be played is by ignoring the existance of their power. Killers arent bad because they dont break pallets faster than other killers they are bad cause they have ######### powers that needs buffs or reworks.

I said in the original post that I group them to my opinion and not what it should be. At the end BHVR will decide everything either way.
But I will defend my opinion!
Also the special category is way way too broad it feels like you just threw every killer considered strong in there without looking where they fit best.
Yes! But ask your self why! I dont want to overcomplicate anything! In the contrary to you I dont try to fix every killer because I dont think that me or you know anything the best. Everything I told here is already in the game I just destributed it more fairly and instead of buffing every killer at once I grouped the weaker one and buffed them. All killers in the Chaser role need to do the same: loop behind and hope for mistake. Every killer in special category is special and can ignore a loop in a efficient way. But at the end YES the strong killers are in the special group BECAUSE they should NOT be buffed! The only reason there are 3 groups is because bhvr already inveted the ranged class and gave all true ranged killers (who can shot while moving and down a survivor without any gimmic like plague fountain) 110% speed. I could have also made just 2 classes with "Chaser" and "Special" and all ranged would go into special because they also dont need this 10% buff.
If any killer thats considered good is being put in one class then that entirely undermines the point of having classes you might aswell just rename the classes Bad Mediocore and Good. Classes just dont belong in DBD.

@cacao1 said:
I thought about the recent update and the speedup for killers and came to the conclusion that the distribution is not fair.
On the one hand killers like Trapper need it very much and on the other hand killers like Nurse or Blight getting even stronger and even on an other hand Hillbilly gets nearly nothing from it at all.
I thought about this system and I will explain it further under the picture:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/16HYYM2PAY1Z/grafik.png
We could revert the killer sped up and instead assign killers groups. We have this system already (all true ranged killers move at 110%) but it is very hidden and not developed enough.
As you can see above the Class "Chaser" moves at normal speed and has this 10% sped up that is now active for everyone. We could assign this group all basic killers with bad/basic abilities to give them a small help without stronger killers benefiting from it.
The Class "Ranged "is the class we already have in the game and it would just stay the same as before.
The Class "Special" is for killers that have very unique powers and dont need sped up like the more basic killers. Killers in this class will just stay like they are now just without the 10% sped up on killer actions.
As you just read there is no change at all to most killers just buffs to killers in the Class "Chaser" because the need them.
Pros:
- Needed Buffs can be assigned to a role instead of buffing all killers at once especially those who dont need any help.
- Balancing can be linked to a role e.g. if in the future for some reason the ranged class will underperform the devs could enchance their movement speed from 110 to 112% and see if thats enough.
- No nerfs. Noone will be heartbroken that their favourite killer was once again murdered by BHVR (like Hillbilly... really BHVR pls revert it.). There are just some buffs to killers that need it and ONLY them.
- killers can be reasign in their role e.g. after a rework.
This is only an idea to discuss and something we could ask the devs to implement. Maybe we could do a cooperation with them and help some weaker killers without helping the strongest one.
If I may share how I would put the killers together it would be this way:
Chaser:
Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Shape, Doctor, Cannibal, Nightmare, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghost Face, Onryo
Ranged:
Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster,
Special:
Nurse, Hag, Spirit, Demogorgon, Plague, Oni, Executioner, Blight, Twins, Nemesis, Cenobite, Artist, Dredge
What do you think? What would be your role distribution. Have you an idea for a fourth role I did not think about?
See this falls apart cause well killers in these groupings arent the same level like out of slinger trickster and huntress 2 badly need to be looked at and 1 is almost perfect.
Also the special category is way way too broad it feels like you just threw every killer considered strong in there without looking where they fit best. Billy fits into the special a lot better than some of the other ones considering he has one of the most versitile power and is one of the killers where using your power correctly is extremely important yet he is lumped into chaser meanwhile most killers designed to chase like Pyramid Nemmy or Pin are in special. A system like that just doest work as very few killers are comparably enough in use case and balancing to be paired into a group that would be balanced as a group.
Also even in overwatch they barely ever balance based around tanks as a whole and the main reason those groupings exists is because of the 2-2-2 or in overwatch 2 2-1-2 formatting of teams.
If there was roles it would have to be specified to the point of oblivion where most roles have 2 maybe 3 killers. Take say a trap role even then killers who are logically in the same role Trapper and Hag are at 2 ends of the balancing.
The only reason or way a role system would make any sense is to try and help new players find more killers simalar to one they have. For example they like Nemesis and see within the same category of Damaging Chasers there is Pyramid Head so they then buy and start playing Pyramid Head.

Probably to do with 99ing gates and then not being able to open them up

Pros: Its set in daylight making it really stand out compared to most maps

Ive been playing pretty much only nemmy cause I bought him a few days ago and want to p3 him so my build atm is STBFL Endruing Spirit Fury and Jolt. I can assure you if any esports team queued quickplay they would get huge streaks.

On outdoor maps it feels like there is too many but one indoor maps it can be hellishly little sometimes. I had a midwich spawn with only 1 hook in the corridors of the second floor. You had to get to that one, downstairs, the little drop to the courtyard or the bathrooms. If I didn't have agitation I think a good 3 or 4 wouldve wiggled out.

At this point, I'd go for that too as long as the activation animation was a bit more subtle. The big dab is just easy to spot and react to, even if you were about to click a quick attack.
Yeah but at the sametime I get why they do it, Killers should still have some way of reacting to deadhard imo.

It makes a lot more sense for the kill rates to drop the longer it goes on. Its been a week and survivors have no idea what to run to be meta and peoples MMRs are all over the place. I've felt that myself as I started out with 4ks every game right after the patch even though I was playing a killer I had just bought but now most are ending with a 2k and my oponents are much better players so I assume my MMRs gone up. As survivors adapt and MMR adjusts itself the kill rate should return to a more balanced state although it will likely be higher I dont think it will have gone up by more than 10-15% once everyone has adjusted to this new patch.

Killers said they will never tunnel/camp if survivors could not have second chance perks.
Killers said they will never tunnel/camp if gens took longer to finish.
Now all survivor meta destroyed and generators have really long time to finish with anti-gen builds. But killers are still camping and tunnelling.
If x happens the killers will stop camp/tunnel seems to me just an excuse.
Im sorry but it is probably on you for believing a few hundred people saying something would cause every killer in existance to change how they play. I haven't tunneled or camped except during the endgame since the update dropped but that doesn't mean every killer in existance has stopped because from playing survivor its pretty aparent they haven't. I do not get this whole arguement of "Killers said they would stop" because in reality it would probably be less than 1000 people you have seen say something like that which is far FAR below the amount of killers. Just because one person said it they arent speaking for the whole role...

We can't even gauge how strong the changes actually are accurately because survivors are just throwing.
Im on a 5 in a row streak of either suicides or DCs

One BP bonuses come yes. I would play tons more survivor if they felt like they gave an adequate amount of bloodpoints.
