Because this community can't live without their conspiracy theories such as "game is survivor sided™", "I go against a navy seals swf team every other game", "all survivors are bully tbaggers", "we only lost because you camped and tunneled™" and/or "The game is full of year-old bugs and every patch breaks it even more"...wait no, that one's actually true.

Just rework spirit at that point. You'd completely destroy her with that change cuz it turns from spirit guessing and survivor guessing with the advantage being in spirit's favor to spirit guessing and the survivor staring at her.
I mean ok, let's say you're right, even if they at least make her shards glow when phasing that would at least give survivors some kind of clue that shes using her power and would eliminate the standing mid games which honestly are BS anyway. How is that fair that you can get rewarded for standing still? Where's the skill in that?

But...what about keys? Why was generator animations prioritized over key unlocking animations? What about the graphics update that broke the blight on those maps? What about Legion? What about a better balance for Moris? WHATABOUT being able to talk about multiple problems at the same time? WHATABOUT the perception of favoritism this creates?
Right cause it's definitely in the devs' best interest to alienate half of the playerbase.

From the creators that brought you: We don't feel like adding with more features to custom game cuz nobody uses it now comes:
Why would we waste time reworking Moris when we can just get rid of their effect and still keep them in the game?

At least mori saves you the trouble of dealing with DS/UB/Pallet Saves/Flashlights and other nuisances on last hook.
Dude what are you talking about. You're literally describing playing the killer side, unless hooking and killing people is the only thing that you should be doing. How long are you gonna keep playing before you accept it is part of the game and plan around it? Maybe change your build if you see a key in lobby? Or how about you just go into it and try to play smart regardless of the outcome...

Lemme explain if you can only mori on second hook moris become uselsss especially on pyramid head where he his special mori for second hook state. If you die on third hook state what the ######### is the point of moris. Bhvr litterally buffed flashlights and nerfed moris and didn't do a thing to the keys god damn this game is way too much survivor sided. ALSO WHY IS BHVR LISTENING TO THE ENTITLED SURIVVIORS THEY ARE JUST TORTURING US POOR KILLER MAINS.
Imagine having to use Moris to get wins in 2020 when most survivors are potatoes and there's Ruin/Undying.
-
Camping, tunneling and slugging work as intended.

I just saw somebody get sucked into a locker in Midwich. I downed the person, went for another one and when I came back she was on the floor, inside the locker. I could see their aura and another survivor was even able to get into that same locker...never saw anything like that before.
-
Pig + Third Seal + Undying literally made me have fun in this game again after a loooong time of frustration. I just love how once you get your 4 stacks and a few RBT it's all chaos to the point that the game usually stalls to a halt. Plus Undying helps me get actual value out of the build if they cleanse TS you can get full stacks again pretty quickly. Even if they're swf I've asked people in the endgame chat and they always tell me it was really confusing to play against.
-
The thing with Wraith is that unlike other killers you're gonna be more effective building around your choice of addons.
This is what I run most often in red ranks, no nonsense all-round build:
Shadowborn on any killer is a wasted perk slot imho, but then again I run Iron Maiden on Huntress and 3rd Seal on Pig so to each their own!
-
@Heartbound said:
You need to max out the altruism emblem consistently to rank up in red ranks and get to rank 1. You need to be on a gen, and go for a save when you can. I highly, HIGHLY recommend borrowed time if you're playing for rank.
Try not to be the first one in a chase, but if you are have a plan to make it a long chase for the chaser emblem. I will say in games where I'm the runner I usually only safety pip at red ranks. It's only when I'm the rescuer that I pip consistently.
Get them unhooks. They're crucial to your success in red ranks if you're going for rank 1.
I'll definitely give this a try. I usually try to get chased since I know all the tiles really well from playing killer, thinking that my teammates will focus on gens in the meantime. Instead they all start running at me once I go down and it's all snowballing from there...

Seems like your mind is pretty made up and you just posted this to confirm your bias. Care to elaborate on what exactly makes her the weakest killer? Maybe share some gameplay to prove your point?

Woah hold on there the mind changing hasn't occurred yet so don't get ahead of yourself, anyways both contribute to the toxicity of the game so somebody that tbags at the exit gates has no right to complain about getting facecamped or tunneled which are the killer equivalents in toxicity save for maybe bringing Moris
If someone tbags at the gate they're off to another game while you go into the next one all salty and butthurt over getting outplayed so you bring an ebony mori and facecamp to get it even in your mind. Who's the toxic one again?
-
I love how this is a thing while the blink dead zone in Midwich has been there for months and nobody at Behaviour gives a flying freak about fixing it.

Not sure what your point is. I play survivor and I hate going against this in solo Q because well...teammates. I play killer at rank 1 I know you don't need this combo to win.

Killers are almost required to bring Pop or Corrupt, what's your point? This just makes it so that both sides are limited to 3 perk slots, ignoring SWF
Exactly my point. There are 4 perk slots why should either side be limited to 3 in order to have a shot because of some bs game mechanics. That's literally the opposite of good balance and it's not good for the game. That unless this game is only about crushing the other side which I hope is not the case...

@Bjario said:
Killer small pp build has counterplay to it.
Survivor small pp build does not. (DS,DH,BT,UB )
You still need to know what you're doing in order to make DS+Unbreakable work offensively. Just because you're running these two doesn't give you a guaranteed escape. Killer small pp build may have a counterplay (aka look for totems) but by the time all of them have been cleansed you should have gotten enough hooks to tilt the odds heavily in your favor. Most likely one person will be dead at which point the game becomes trading hooks.
Just because there is a counterplay doesn't make this combo less oppressive especially for solo players.
-
So basically since this combo is so prevalent I'm forced to always equip Small Game or DH. So in addition to being very oppressive you have no choice but to bring a totem perk every game if you're solo Q plus DS since everyone tunnels like crazy lately...that's some great balancing right there.
@Blueberry said:
"Killer small pp build has counterplay to it.

^^ This. They aren't equivalent at all.
Also, what reasoning do you have for saying Undying+Ruin is "unhealthy". I would argue the literal exact opposite. It's extremely well balanced and designed.
It is very high risk, does literally nothing unless the killer plays well to pressure the map and has lots of counter play. Like seriously if that's "unhealthy" what would you possibly consider healthy?
You're telling me that every time you run this build survivors complete most if not all gens and two or more of them escape? Come on man. Unless you're swf most solo Q games are pulling teeth agains this combo + high mobility killer and everyone here knows that but doesn't like to admit it's extremely easy to win with these perks. Even if they're cleansed relatively early you will have enough momentum to carry a win if you have one braincell.
-
I actually couldn't care less about keys. All I ask for is a ranger medkit and instead 9/10 times I get a green toolbox...

They're so generous that they only gave people stuff AFTER the community was up in arms about the "event". Just so that the community would get a sense of accomplishment. They think about the playerbase so much that they wanted to foster some unity and comradery between killers and survivors.
Definitely not BHVR putting out a half-assed halloween event where pretty much the only thing players could do was to buy overpriced outfits and then acting like it was their own idea to "fix" it, just like they do their perks. How dare people suggest that devs are being greedy and lazy. The nerve of them!

I've been called a simp and a white knight for defending someone from demonstrably untrue accusations when they weren't there to defend themselves. It seems many people can't tell the difference between swooping in to save someone who doesn't need saving (what a white knight actually is) and standing up against genuine injustice.
Bruh BHVR is racking up literally millions they don't need you to save them and there's no injustice in people asking for the devs to get their sh!t together trust me.

Theyre off gen though, so its best not to chase them.
Unless I'm already chasing someone I always, always slug trapped survivors. Yes they're off gen but you put them on the ground, now somebody else needs to get off another gen and come pick them up. In the meantime you resume patrolling gens and find a third survivor and suddenly your map pressure goes through the roof.
-
Heck yeah dude. I'm still having fun and I find that the more I play the less frustrated I get with will the bull$h!t bugs and balance issues in the game. It's like you learn to accept them as a fact of life and try to work around them in a way? And like others said get the entitled mentality out of your head if you want to enjoy this or I guess any game. Just for perspective think about this: imagine if every single player in a battle royale game felt like they "deserve" the win on every match. See how dumb that sounds? But you replace battle royale game with DBD and suddenly some people believe that argument makes sense. Dunno at least that's the way I see it.

Correct me if I’m wrong but last time I checked none of the killers you mentioned can move at 9.2m/s while seeing your aura.

I don’t know about you but whenever I play survivor and the killer isn’t doing well I’ve learned to expect Noed after the last gen pops, and what do you know, 9x/10 it turns out I was right. Most good killers don’t need noed because survivors rarely make it to the endgame so yeah, it may not be a crutch per se but it’s definitely a second chance perk by all means and it rewards sub-optimal gameplay. Does that mean you shouldn’t run it? Who cares you’re free to chose any perk your heart desires. Just don’t expect to get better as a killer by relying on it to get kills.

Well that happened. It was the second most upvoted question aaaand it's gone. It is kinda sad that Behaviour would resort to censoring rather than acknowledging their own playerbase. Why would you delete a perfectly genuine question?? @Peanits did it somehow break the rules? Feelsbadman
I wondered the same after my question got removed for the Billy/Bubba mid-chapter patch. Apparently it’s because it wasn’t related to the actual update. Very convenient to say the least, but rules are rules I suppose...

yeah, he has add-on of purple rarity that gives aura-reading and because its not very good. its not being complained about and it doesn't matter what rarity an item is, I mean I have tons of ebony mori and Ivory mori and those are pink and green, I just don't use them because... well their gamebreaking unlike this add-on that is not gamebreaking. it prevents you from playing hide and seek vs blight. If its really that bad, they could invent a survivor perk or improve a useless perk like solo survivor to not require survivors to die to hide aura-reading perks, than you can play invisible Claudette build, wasted perk slot in my opinion.
Except with the wraith addon you still need to uncloak so it gives away your position. But but but silent bell...then you're using your two addon slots to get the value. That's a trade off in itself. Not to mention most viable Wraith builds need at least one windstorm for mobility. You're comparing apples to oranges here.

Both as i been taking in different view points and yes tru3 is one of them but it doesnt matter as if you look at c21 and compare it to swf then you would make the same conclusion aswell.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1612564#Comment_1612564
The game is vastly 3-4 man swf though and you cant ignore that fact when you are looking at perks or add ons swf has to be taken into account before saying something is OP or to strong.
HOWEVER i have been testing it out with different combos and even tried the purple version of this type of add on to see if the purple is better that c21 (the one where while rushing the aura is shown in a 8 meter radius) it wasnt. I do agree that it not a green worth add on its a purple level and need to switch around with the other add on that i mentioned. HOWEVER thats it there no changes need to it as it not busted and not op just that it is in the wrong rarity that is all.
Dude stop with the EvErY tEaM i Go AgAiNsT iS aN eLiTe 4 MaN sWf argument. You sound like a certain streamer people talk about here sometimes. Everyone knows at this point it doesn't work like that and you rarely ever encounter a legit tournament squad people use as a case in point in this forum. Why is it such a taboo to play killer more than survivor and still recognize when a game mechanic isn't fair for the other side? I'm not talking about you specifically but I see this attitude way too often and it doesn't really make things better for either side.
The entitlement is real.
-
@PineTreeKay said:
Then that must mean that scratched mirror miers is the most broken thing in the game and should be immediately nerfed.
Lol scratched mirror Myers is so slow I can loop him for ages before I get hit once. The trade off makes if fair and unless he’s bringing an indoor map offering there’s no way he can get enough map pressure to be a real threat.
-
I'm glad somebody pointed this out because I was thinking of something along these lines the other day. To me it's just Behaviour being Behaviour and applying bandaids to poor game mechanics instead of addressing the cause of the problem. It's like literally everyone: Many people feel like killers are powerless at the moment. Maybe you should give them more tools to deal with survivors more efficiently but making sure things are fair for the opposite side? BHVR: Hell naw dawg, we're gonna make survivors go down in one hit through no fault of their own and no additional effort from the killer. And you better have fun while at it!

You are only referring to Ruin. What about HG? The odds are in the favor of the killer that HG gets cleared three times before Undying is even found. That is extremely powerful! Seriously, I want my totems to last longer, but this is going to be so abused it is not funny. This is going to finish off what's left of solo que. You will see even more SWF. Not what I want.

You did though. That's literally all this is.
Correct me if I'm wrong but last time I checked the consensus within the community is that solo q is hell, for a plethora of reasons including teammates not doing objectives, i.e. totems? You don't see how Undying has the potential to be extremely oppressive with the consequence of ruining games for people? i don't see how it adds in any enjoyment to the overall game experience, especially for survivors but also for killers, like it's just another rng element and that's just inherently not fun.

Searching for totems, even dull ones, IS PART OF THE GAME.
They’re MEANT to be process that occurs between repairs and saves that STALL the game, with the risk of IMMENSE punishment if they’re ignored.
Dude you're missing the point here. Hex totems are, by the devs own words, not meant to last the entire game due to their strong effects. Also BHVR: let's make Hex perks last longer, possibly the entire game, yeah that's the kind of thrill our players are begging for.
-
@Maperson said:
The previous ruin was 'unfun' I don't see the problem with this one
Ruin was just to illustrate how they pretend to go in the direction of fun while coming up with perks like Undying which has the potential to force your team to spend all game looking for totems while your team slowly gets slaughtered. Welcome to DBD running simulator 2020.
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
It's all well and dandy, but it requires the Killer to sacrifice two perk slots just to keep Ruin going a little longer, and you're not taking into account how the first Hex cleansed might be the Undying totem to begin with.
Yes, you're right it can be cleansed immediately, but they're supposed to be striving for "fun". So now games will go between trashing or getting trashed. How's that remotely enjoyable for either side when it all depends on luck instead of skill? I'd like to go into a game knowing that I have a fair chance of winning regardless of wether the rng lets me or not.

So why even bring up the graphics update then if they’re not related? The obvious implication was that you’re saying they should not bother with graphics when there are existing issues you’d like them to fix.
The implication being that as a player who is committed to the long term success of this game I feel like changes to gameplay and balancing are more of a priority and should come sooner. Meanwhile on the front end Behaviour always announces cosmetic changes with great fanfare while keeping mum on game health issues.
-
@dugman said:
This isn't an "either or" scenario. The team updating the graphics almost certainly isn't the same team who would be tweaking character design and perks or who are working on matchmaking, for example. Working on one doesn't impact the other.
Yes, and while that’s true it means that the people in charge of balancing either didn’t do a good job so far or just tone deaf.
