"Corrupt Intervention is a solid perk"

Yeah, if they don't sit there and make the game boring for 2 minutes straight. Or if it even blocks the right gens.

I get that it's useful on trap killers but I hate it on everyone else.

You just don't know how to find survivors my guy. Next time you have trouble with people playing immersed try walking away from uncovered gens for a few seconds to lure them out. Guaranteed at least one of them will have progress on.

  • I learned nurse after the nerf and -usually- I can still get 4ks against red ranks. It just takes an insane amount of patience knowing when to use the 2nd blink. Often times when I lose with nurse it’s because I find myself getting stuck on dead zones or hitting walls and pallets after blinks so I end up wasting a lot of time in chase. There’s an entire corridor in Midwich where it’s impossible to blink and I’ve seen people reporting the bug on this forum multiple times but the devs couldn’t care less about fixing all these issues. I don’t know how it was playing her before the nerf but right now she is by no means weak. Just frustrating and most people me included just don’t wanna deal with the game robbing you of good hits because bugs. If you wanna talk about hard nerfs Billy on the other hand is straight unplayable in his current state.

Nurse is ok in my opinion but definitely counterable if survivors know what they're doing. Case in point sorry that it's not in English but this is probably THE best DBD player in Korea with more than 7000hrs and he could barely get 2 kills on a KYF game against some insane survivors, even after they 3 gen'd themselves. I get frustrated just by watching this game.

Those aren't all racial classifications, at least not in the United States. Jane and Zarina would both be considered White.

So let the rest of the world conform to US standards? Is that what you’re implying?

  • Ahhh yes, we need this, definitely more than bug fixing and balancing. I don’t care if I take a hit from 10m away as long as there’s more POC in the game.

As a “person of color” myself I’m asking you please not to go there and let the devs focus on the issues that are more pressing, like game health...maybe? I don’t want the game I love to get cancelled :’(

  • I forgot to mention this earlier but probably the easiest way to get this is proxy camping hooks. The moment you see the unhook notification let go of m2. Guaranteed hit.

  • Play any FPS. Locate crosshair. Put a tiny piece of tape on your tv over crosshair (maybe white or light colored so you can see it against the dark maps). Launch DBD. Profit.

I play on PC but that’s the easiest way I can think of.

  • I got this achievement just by playing the game normally. I know you already tried that, but if you really want to get this my advice would be to bring double belt addons and use the 3 extra hatchets for long shots, that way if you miss you can keep playing normally without being at a disadvantage. Also don’t be afraid of going for crossmap throws after BBQ. If you know for sure they’re on a gen try landing a cheeky shot from a distance. Since the hit boxes were reduced when survs are fixing you now have to aim slightly to the side of a gen and hope someone’s there but it works Moreno often than you’d think. Good luck

    How is this ok???

  • Fix. Fix. Fix. What’s the point of keep adding new content and mechanics if it’s going to break the game every time? Also if they changed/reworked underperforming perks (Significantly, with feedback from actual players), they could very well change the meta in a way that would make the game feel fresh again. Wouldn’t that be important enough to merit a whole dedicated patch?

  • Make no mistake friends, there's a simple way to take care of this:

Make comms an in-game feature and balance around it.

I say simple not easy, because that would involve overhauling the entire game and the devs are simply not going to do that. It's way easier to leave things be and just profit from overpriced cosmetics.

  • Footsteps were bugged after the Oni patch as well. Just the usual BHVR spaghetti code. Fixing one thing breaks another three. Unfortunately that’s DBD for you.

He's rocking double purple add-ons, some red add-ons, and the best yellow add-on there is. Is that 7 out of 10 games with at least green windstorm? With the others fast uncloak with map-wide or silent bell?

I can win most games running a killers best add-ons too.

Did you also notice the games where I went against 3 DS? 3 Iron Will? 3 Sprint Burst? 4 Adrenaline? 2 Purple flashlights? You make it sound as if I shouldn't be using those addons for some obscure reason and just stick to brown and yellow. What difference does that make? I genuinely want to know.

  • You're saying that you only go against red rank so I assume you're frustrated with losing too often to competent survivors?

At the same time you say it's too easy for survivors to rank up so by that logic they should be making tons of mistakes even if their rank is high...

    Could you clarify?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that something about the way you play is not allowing you to reach the next level of gameplay...I mean I don't mean to flame you but you lost with iri head, it doesn't get more OP than that so obviously something's not working with the way you're approaching these games. I tanked for a long time at purple before I could reach red ranks and I only did after pinpointing the things I was doing wrong/inefficiently as a killer. According to your logic there wouldn't be any red rank killers because they would all lose against red rank teams due to bad matchmaking but obviously that's not how things are so...you have two options: adapt and get better or wait for BHVR to fix matchmaking and we all know that ain't happening anytime soon my dude. If you have a way to capture your own games I'd say start there and figure out what you could have done better so you don't keep making the same mistakes. Watch some videos on how to run common tiles and learn when to slug and you'll get better results pretty soon. Also take a look at your builds...most of them don't seem to help your killer's power so you end up with no synergy and no strategy...noed on huntress? why? What does that do to help you?

What system do you play DBD on? On PS4 there are lots of people in SWF Comms.

Adobe reaching red ranks on killer I hardly ever get anything but red rank survivors, how are you getting purple?

I'm on PC and some of those green and purples (not all of them) were definitely swf as they were friends on steam. It's odd to me as well since I'd assume some of those teams should have been paired with purple rank killers but we all know matchmaking is broken at the moment so I'm not surprised...

  • Like I said in another post with the two distinct sounds you can’t use the bone clapper to its full potential. It’s one of his best addons and it needs to be fixed regardless. By the way you should test with double windstorm addons and see if there’s a difference because based on my anecdotal evidence it does feel slower.

  • wait a minute...since when did the text change to "take chance to escape"?? I thought it was "attempt escape"...is this from the new patch?

Are we talking about on any specific maps that this is happening? And can you grab me some video/screenshots if possible.

It's not something I've noticed particularly myself which is why I asked.

Here's a clip that hopefully shows what I'm talking about. As you can see after hooking one Kate I went to the shack and almost lost the other one because the scratch marks stopped at the opening but continued outside which is why I got confused and turned around at first. She was outside of course.

    https://youtu.be/dT3FMc-RKTI

And just in case that one's not clear enough here's another one. The moment I drop the Adam on the floor, someone please explain to me why the hell there are marks under that pallet even though the survivor clearly went AROUND it?? Not to mention the patchy marks she left after running away from me. I know I'm not seeing things guys.

    https://youtu.be/YI08WfBpzmg

Sorry for the crappy sound I had my mic on and it recorded my laptop fan. I can upload the whole match later for context there were a few other questionable scratch marks throughout like no marks under pallets, marks appearing after a few seconds delay or simply just going in a different direction than the survivor was running in. Someone please test this!!

  • BHVR what have you done to the poor bing bong boi. I just played a few games and can confirm that everything feels extremely slow, including the speed boost after uncloaking with two windstorm addons.

  • I admit I used to think similarly to some of the comments here, till I stopped expecting to get (or aiming for) a 4K in each and every game, which I think it’s sort of an entitled killer mentality honestly. Dbd is such an rng based game that it’d be pretty silly to expect consistency. Just an example some maps are really good for certain killers while being terrible for others (think Lery’s with GF as opposed to Billy). The thing is...as long as you can kill someone or have two survivors on death hook while the first 3 gens pop the game will lean heavily in your favor. That’s NOT that hard even at red ranks. Also choose your perks according to your own flaws as a player rather than trying to copy your favorite streamer’s build. Learn when it’s beneficial for you to slug (not just while you wait out the DS), and above all remember you’re playing against human persons who want to have a fun game as much as you do. Not every team is in it to bully the killer, and most swf teams you just can’t beat period...it ain’t that complicated boys dbd is just not a competitive game. Skill doesn’t always correlate with match results and that’s part of the game whether we accept it or not. Just focus on memorizing tiles and mastering mind games and the game will be much more enjoyable than eating pallet after pallet because of your 1v1 tunnel vision. I feel your pain and frustration but being a salty killer won’t change the game mechanics unfortunately.

  • The thing is, old ruin was still rng. I personally feel more and more that rolling dice isn't a good idea for a build. Yes it may have helped a little, but good survivors would power through it anyway.

Like I said don't even look at the endgame chat, or just assume people will complain if you use noed. Same could be said for adrenaline or DS. These days if survivors want to be toxic I know I don't need to engage. Move on, you'll be in another lobby in less than one minute ;)

  • Gen times are not the problem! If it didn’t take me an eternity to travel across the map I could pressure gens effectively in most situations.

Making maps slightly smaller would make the game more fun for everyone. The killer wouldn’t have to give up gens just because they’re 500 meters away and survivors wouldn’t need to hold M1 even longer. Not to mention good survivors abuse the fact that they can hold W and drop pallets early to bring the killer as far as possible from gens, knowing that it means an almost guaranteed gen even if they go down.

That being said I really think a team should only be able to bring 2 toolboxes, no more. Just my ¢2.

  • Nah dude that's like way too much. I'm not gonna lie me and my friends already dominate in this game all the time like I just wanna chill and be able to look at my Snapchat while I wait for the gens to finish that's all I'm asking bro.

  • This is how a game without Ruin ACTUALLY goes (rank 1): You start the game and by the time you get to a gen with two people on it you chase a survivor, down them, and two gens that may or may not be close to each other depending on the map pop. Meanwhile their teammate has come back to finish gen 1 which is pretty close since it was being worked on by two people. By the time you hook them the others are working on number 4. Then you go off to chase others off of gens but can’t catch up to them because they 99d Sprint Burst and made it to the god loop. Gens 1 and 4 pop. Last gen is next to the god loop so you don’t even bother and by the time you down someone the exit gates are powered. You hook that person while a teammate 99s the exit gate. Hook tech, borrowed time save + adrenaline, bodyblock to the exit gate. GGEZ.

This is how a game with Ruin ACTUALLY goes (rank 1): you start the game and halfway to your totem there’s an explosion and a visual notification letting you know that you’re now playing with 3 perks.

The problem as never been Ruin. It's map size and gen times. Ruin or not slow killers have little to no chance at pressuring gens at the moment. I'm a red rank survivor and I never run around looking for the totem. I know somebody will eventually see it while being chased. Good survivors know it's more effective to power through anyway.

  • I really want to believe they don’t but unfortunately their decisions in the last few months prove otherwise. When the basement glitch happened after the last patch they released a hotfix after only a couple of days. Meanwhile there’s still audio issues with footsteps and dying survivors.

The developer update was the last straw for me. They’re not even trying to hide their bias anymore and I sincerely feel they’re out of touch with the community. If the changes do go live I’m switching to Civilization...or any other game. It’s not like there’s nothing else to play.
