No. You dont understand. I said the people who are play dbd like a partygame probably doesnt care that its a bot. I would care. But i have 2000 hours in the game and i play to win.

It wouldnt hurt if they had like a unranked lobby with a bot killer to practice.

  • Whatever they do. I want the next update to actually work this time.

If only I had at least time to have fun ...

I just start to play with my power and my perks that the five generators are repaired :-(

Like I said. Everyone has a different opinion on what is fun. In this game. What's fun for one side is often at the other's expense.

But isnt a weak bot enough? For all the player who dont want to bother learning the game? Then they have their easy wins.

I always read they dont want to get better and dbd is not competitive. Then a bot should be good enough for them.

DBD is competitive. Google the definition. It is not E sports but it is competitive. Bots are bad and they shouldn't be used in an MMR system. The devs love to nerf a killer because their precious stats say "They are over performing". A bot should not be compared to a killer controlled by a person.

Spirit is one of the best killers in the game. If you have a lot of spirit bots that are getting 0 kills on average do you think the devs should buff spirit? If we have a Legion bot that is somehow getting 3ks on average should we nerf Legion?

Everyone is wrong! My opinion is all that matters!

Trying to get a peak underneath Meyers hospital gown is fun.

Having 4 survivors teabag at the exit gate. They they realize I have BW. That is fun :P

Key changes will be coming soon too

Until it actually gets here, I won't celebrate. The devs learned not to give out time tables and when they say "soon". The devs and I have very different opinions on what is considered soon.

  • The thing is. With this game. Everyone has a different opinion of what is considered fun.

I’m not a fan of a bot system.. I still think it would be better to have an option to potentially queue into games that had a disconnect and you gain bonus bps or something for joining late.

Dbd is pvp.. bots would suck the life out of the fun.

In private then sure, why not..

I agree. You can't make a bot that is as smart as a person. One game I play is Total War: Warhammer 2. One thing that sucks about that game is the difficulty. If your winning Normal without much effort and you start to raise the difficulty. The AI doesn't play better. It just gets more cheats. Instead of managing their cities or armies more efficiently they just get boosts to their income, their stats, less rebellions. I seriously think the devs cannot make a killer bot that would be nearly as good as a person.

Let's face it. If they could they certainly would have done it already. instead of trying to find ways to convince us to come back and that they don't favor new survivors.

  • I don't think dbd NEEDS swf but if they ever get rid of it. We will see a good drop in player basis.

If lacking a character isn't a good enough reason to add one then what is?

What about diversity makes it "forced"? If you don't think we should add an Indian character then just say that and go; don't hide behind false pretenses.

    Forced diversity

when a director or author blatantly puts a minority into a story that makes no progression to the story, just to pander to SJWs

I said nothing even hinting "I don't want an Indian character in here!" I said putting one in here just for the sake of saying "there, you got one" is bad. If you want an Indian person in DBD I ask that person has as much back story as everyone else. Make the character fit into the lore. Don't just throw an Indian in here and the only thing about this character is they are Indian.

On a side note. Going out of your way to get a specific ethnic race, gender or religious person is discrimination itself. If your a company and during the hiring process you turn down applicants because you have too many of <insert race> that's discriminating.

Wanting a <insert race> in a game is not enough. It has to fit in the game. This is why we get people bitching their aren't any black people in games that take place in Medieval Europe. Like Kingdom Come. Literally 99% of all people living in Europe around that time were Caucasian. That's why that's the only race you see in that kind of game. I recently binged watch a Korean series on Netflix called Sweet Home. It takes place in South Korea. I don't care that they're aren't any white people in the show. It makes perfect sense the only people in that show are Asian. When I watch a Marvel movie I don't complain that they're aren't any Mexicans living in Wakanda. It wouldn't make sense. Just because we don't have a particular race is not enough reason to add one. If I haven't made my point by now I don't know how else I can explain it.

Story telling is more important than being politically correct.

  • I see no reason not to have an Indian. However I don't feel lacking one is reason enough to add one. There's some word for it. Forced Diversity I think? If they're gonna do it make it work. Don't shoehorn it in here and make their <insert race, religion, gender> the only thing about them. Cause then it feels like you didn't even try. You just threw it in here to pander to someone.

  • When you run Kindred, your being face camped and your team still isn't doing gens.

Would it tho? Lets say they halved the amount of perks by merging them.

    Would it be less fun?

For instance Tenacity and flip-flop merged. Some of the perks could be retired entirely.

If we don't have to pay extra for it. It's too much work for them -.-

  • Even if we merged the crappy perks together to make half decent perks. People will still run the top 3 perks. It won't really change anything.

Bill was added to console a looong time ago, but your half right. He was absent from console ports for probably 2-3 years of DbD's lifespan.

I got the game for my nephew's xbox long time ago. I even lvled up his Nurse for NC. That was probably 2-3 years ago at the least.

Bill must have been a paid character since he's on license, but it is free..

On console I don't think Bill is even playable. When they got the rights to use him dbd was only on PC. Console came later and they didn't want to renegotiate. So they put his perks in the bloodweb but Bill isn't in the game. Unless they changed it since the last time I've seen console.

The "real" Ghost Face? Ghost Face is a persona-type disguise. The character can be anyone.

The "real" ghostface is the one in the scream movies. The costume and that character are owned by 2 different people. They only got the rights to one so they invented a character to wear it. They can't exactly make a map from the scream movies because they didn't get that half of the IP rights.

  • I suck with Spirit and I 2nd main Nurse.

A bit dated but still has some good tips. The best way to learn Nurse is to simply play. Once you run into the few survivors that actually know how to play against a Nurse, that's when the learning begins.

One bit of advice I suggest is if you feel you can't land a hit then don't try. Missed hits and extra blinks add to your fatigue timer. If you can't land a hit it's better to wait for the recharge and try again.

As for perks. Anything that slows down the gens or helps you find survivors are good. My Nurse build usually consists of the following.

    • A gen slow down perk. Could be Ruin, Corrupt Intervention or PGTW.
    • A tracking perk. BBQ is great and gives you more BP. My personal favorite is Whispers but that's just me. Once a chase begins it doesn't last long against most survivors. The issue is finding someone to chase.
    • MYC. One of my personal favorites on Nurse. Hook someone and leave. If you haven't found someone else by the time of the rescue, return to the hook. Try to find the person who made the save. They are exposed and it spreads out the damage. Technically it's not tunneling because your not going after the person who was unhooked :P

Besides those 3 the 4th is what I feel like running. There are quite a few that work with nurse. NC for seeing people healing. Franklin's demise for keys/toolboxes. Discordance for more tracking. Undying for hexes. Devour Hope. Blood Warden for those rare gotcha moments. I tried shadowborn and I didn't notice much of a difference. Though some killers wear by it. I never felt the need for NOED on Nurse. She can usually catch people before they get to the gates. I'm all ears can help you in a chase. Someone fast vaults a window and you can see where they went.

  • @Blueberry said:

I never run it because it's over powered and I don't need crutches to win on survivor.

That said there's always at least 2 survivors minimum every game running it.

I feel the same. The only time I put on DS is if a killer tunneled me to death a few times. That doesn't happen often to me.

    @JPA said:

No one is running DS? I must see at least 2 people running it every time I play Killer.

Same. I don't know what range the OP is playing in but I see DS literally every game.

  • @Entità said:

@popoles It's not about the jukes I use: it's about the powerfulness of PC survivors' tools vs PS4 survivors' tools or, if you prefer, about the precision of PC Nurses' blink vs PS4 Nurses' blink. Try on console, see with your eyes.

@EvilJoshy No, the other 21 PC killers are good: no reason to turn off the cross-play. Why are you against the MMR? Do you want to be matched with weaker opponents? Rank doesn't mean skill: the matchmaking must be fixed with the MMR system.

Maybe I need to play a lot more for the MMR to put me in the proper bracket but my experience with it has been bad. There is no true way to determine someone's skill level. The emblem system certainly doesn't help. Majority of my matches when they turned on MMR were against newbs. The kind where you feel bad because you look like a jerk for just playing the game. I got just under 1k hours and I'm being paired with brand new survivors. Seriously, how is that fair? I've had the game for 4 years and these devs have betrayed my trust more than they earned it. For every good thing they've done it feels like they do 5 bad things. I simply don't trust them to do something good anymore.

  • @Entità said:

@popoles It's not a matter of skill: it's a matter of hardware. I've never seen rank 1 Nurses on PS4 do what they do on PC. I'm referring to extremely high blink precision and 360 speed: a PS4 survivor cannot avoid to be hit. Many people block the cross platform because they fear the PC hardware advantage, no matters the role: I say that cross-play is great, but good PC Nurses against PS4 survivors have no chance to lose, it's impossible.

@EvilJoshy No, it would be just a tool to grant all people equal chances, but maybe you think a 60kg boxer should be paired with a 100kg one... If you are a PC Nurse against PC survivors, enjoy your maximum power, but there is no reason to give her the advantage to get a free win against PS4 players. Of course, my best option is to turn on the MMR, which gave me amazing and fair trials in August 2020: some wins, some defeats, but balanced matches afterall.

There's a reason boxing has weight classes. Should the 100kg boxer stop working out for a year and shrink down to give the 60kg boxer a fair chance? You already have a tool to solve your problem. Turn off cross play. You'll never face a PC nurse again and the devs can spend their time on other things we don't need. Like a new UI system -.-

As for the MMR system. When they first turned it on my experience was varied. I felt bad because pretty much every survivor I was paired against were newbs. My matches certainly weren't frustrating but I can't imagine they were having any fun.

I think The Archives and the constant Rift grind played a larger role in burning me out than the game itself. I binged to get the rewards and was left feeling unfilled. So now I usually only queue up when I have a buddy to play with.

I still find this game fun... I guess I've been taking Mathieu's advice and playing some other games for awhile. :)

Yeah I hate battlepass like systems. Forcing you to grind for a period of time or you'll miss out. By the time you get what you wanted you don't want to play the game anymore. Than 6 months later the thing you worked for is now in the store for $4. Battle passes give you a lot of players for a brief amount of time but the retention is crap.

I never asked for a Nurse nerf, and I gave three options to make trials fair and winnable from both sides: get us better controls OR limit her precision against console survivors OR activate now the MMR, so we'll never find PC Nurses again.

Limit her precision against console sounds a lot like a nerf lol

and I wouldn't put too much faith in the MMR system. I've seen it operate before and I think the game got worse.

  • I feel your situation only points out how bad the game itself is on console. I hope your not suggesting we should nerf PC Nurse because your console can't keep up. It's not PC's fault the BHVR never cared for your platform. We paid for the game too. Why should we be punished because you struggle with a PC Nurse? If anything console players should be spamming threads about fixing the console version. Killers shouldn't be nerfed because the game doesn't work best on your hardware.

  • @GhostMaceNotCrusty said:

Oh no, now you need skill instead of relying on a perk combo. As a killer main who uses ruin undying often, I thing undying is extremely oppressive. I'm fine with the nerd and honestly I'm excited to use devour undying

Says a survivor who can't live without DS+UB.

The devs seriously need to work on this early game start up they've been preaching for years.

  • Maybe Bubba was an after thought? Now that you mention it most other license killers came with a map.

Freddy has Bedham. Pig has The Game. Demo has Hawkins. Mikey has Haddionfield.

GF doesn't have his own map but it's not the real GF. They only got the rights to use the costume so they had to invent someone to wear it.

  • This is why this game is so messed up. People who don't have an understanding of mechanics come to the forums and whine.

  • @Jasix said:

Yeah because killers had it so rough before Undying. (eyeroll)

The problem is for the past few months a lot of killers have used Undying as a crutch to play. I don't even have Undying unlocked and still have no issues as killer.

Spoken like a true survivor main. Do you know how frustrating a match can be without a reliable form of gen slow down? Do you think we should go back to the days of Ruin being cleansed in 20 seconds? Go play killer and go up against 4 DS+UB's before you talk about crutch perks.

It has been like this for months.. I still doesn’t have the slightest interest in getting back to this game.

Nothing in this game is fun for me anymore. All games are stressful, and I need to bear all kinds of toxicity and bullshits in this game.

Sometimes I tried to do a fun build. But why would it be fun when the other side try as hard as they could to win the game? And if I try to win like they do, it is stressful and not fun. This is especially true when playing as killer, which is the role I play the most.

Every time I want to boot up the game, I got the strange feeling that keeps me away from it. I can’t even put my mouse cursor over the game icon.

Does anyone feel the same like this? Or any past experiences?

That's how the games been for me since April last year. Even when the twins came out I didn't even log on. I even have enough shards to unlock them for free and I don't want them. I actually want more killers to leave the game. It seems to be the only time the devs truly do something about balance. When their cosmetic buying survivors can't find a game.

  • I suck when I play as Spirit and I play as Nurse. Between the 2 id say Spirit takes less time to learn but I would not consider either of them easy.

But I think having to sit around and wait for a match to end after you die would have killed the game eventually though if they didn't address it.

That's what put me off FT13th. That and the sheer amount of people who DC'ed when they found out they didn't get to play as Jason.

You mean the pressure you can apply with Undying/Tinkerer/Ruin right now? Oop. You mean like the pressure Spirit can apply? Oop. You mean like the pressure Freddy can apply? Oop.

Don't forget that most of the killers lack mobility in the first place.

I've been called a hacker/cheater for using a killer's power. So I highly doubt you are actually running into hackers constantly.

Same. I'm almost always called a hacker when I play Nurse. I was on Ormound. I hooked someone and BBQ revealed someone else across the map. So I blink through the center building and I see a crouching blendette. So I change targets. In the end game chat the Claudette asked "How did you know I was there?" "I didn't. I was going after someone else and found you by chance" Their response was total entitlement but hilarious. "I'm Claudette. The only way you could have seen me is if your hacking. REPORTED!!!!!!!"

I've had people accuse me of hacking because they had no idea what Nurse's Calling and Whispers worked.

Granted I haven't played a lot for the past 10 months but I've had the game for like 4 years. I've only ever ran into 2 people who were certainly hacking. Seen a lot of people doing shady stuff but not enough proof to file a report.

I think you unintentionally bring up a good point.

Genuine question, what makes killers complaints about perks valid but survivors complaints about perks invalid?

Survivors are a team. Killers are alone?

One side is also clearly in short supply. If their complaints weren't valid how do you explain their absence?

  • I fully agree. The devs need to stop catering to new players and tell them to git gud. This is what happens when you hold someone's hand for too long. Or when you start handing out participation trophies because "everyone is special". Your just hiding them from reality. The longer you put it off the worse it's gonna be when it finally hits.

Which of course would somehow someway be the mori.

I always thought that he would get weapon packs instead of 1 weapon. And he would have to find weapons scattered around the map. He could hit people with his fists to inflict deep wounds on an injured survivor or something like that.

I think that would be a neat idea. A killer with multiple powers sounds cool. I thought that's what Legion was going to be in the teaser trailer. Then it turned out to be 4 delinquents all wearing the same mask.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

If you're going to nerf NOED because you think it rewards bad playing, then you should also be making compliant threads asking to nerf DS, Dead Hard and Keys. They all reward survivors for playing poorly.

The Devs have repeatedly stated that NOED is fine.

It punishes lazy survivors for not cleansing totems.

If it was nerfed then survivors would have less of a reason for cleansing dull totems, which they hardly do these days.

If the killer was bad and had to rely on NOED to get a kill, then the survivors should have had an easy time wasting the killers time by looping them long enough to do the gens and cleanse totems.

If the killer was so good that you had no time to do totems, then you were just out matched.

You don't have to cleanse all 5 totems to get rid of NOED, just can cleanse the ones you notice that are in hard to find spots or just remember where they are. After the last gen pops, go back to the ones out in the open to check if it is lit.

You can stealth at the start of the match and look for totems. I personally do this and find 3 totems by the time two gens pop in less than three minutes. I know, I can rush a gen instead, but I like my games to last more than 4/5 minutes.

You can bring a map, small game or detectives hunch to counter totems.

In the end, the fault for getting hit by NOED is totally in the hands of survivors. The survivor role is a team role with an option to be solo, so the fault for it lies on the whole group. It isn't OP or unfair, you and anyone else who complains about it are just whining to make the game easier for you.

If you nerf NOED, which isn't even used all that often, I guarantee you that we will only get longer queue times and face the same Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Freddies over and over. I rather not have that.

Imagine if killers could cleanse totems and remove your exhaustion perks, unbreakable, DS, or even the ability to heal. You would all riot.

"Imagine if killers could cleanse totems and remove your exhaustion perks, unbreakable, DS, or even the ability to heal. You would all riot."

These days. I think the term for crowds of people causing mass destruction is called "Peaceful Protesting" :P

  • I think NOED is fine and there are other perks that are seriously unhealthy for the game that need to be looked at.

Whispers is an amazing perk and I have had people complain I found them with it :P

  • The devs don't like to give out time frames. If something happens that cases them to postpone it the community gets bitchy and says "You said the new update would come out today. Where is it?"

  • If Jason will just be another "fun" M1 killer that the survivors can bully. I don't want him in here. I want him to be Nurse lvl. I want survivors to be terrified to go against Jason!

  • You ever notice most of a killers specific perks are better on other killers? M&A is good on a lot of killers but Doc is perhaps the killer that doesn't really benefit from it.

  • Sounds like the killer was both a sore loser and inexperienced. There are times when you see a survivor run to a certain area and you need to decide "Should I commit or break off?". If you spend too much time on one survivor than the other 3 of repairing gens without danger. This is what people refer to when they say "Apply Pressure"

Can I be honest (and please don't write off what I am going to say)

I don't think i can take any nurse thread seriously due to the fact that in the right and capable hands she is the strongest killer in the game even with bugs. She can completely ignore everything the survivors have against killers.

I have seen people destroy survivor with her. And played against good nurse that have destroyed me. Add the fact that Latency and certain maps give her the best advantage and you absolutely can't win if against a good one.

I probably will sound ridiculous but I feel the bugs makes her more balanced to play against. I could be wrong and want your opinion on the matter.

Your not wrong. Against a god nurse, there's nothing you can do except gen rush and try to get out before she kills everyone. Thankfully god nurses are exceptionally rare. I do feel Nurse is the strongest killer but I think as a whole, most survivors never faced a good Nurse and never learned to play against one. In the video above, only one person was actually trying to break LoS or double backing to juke the Nurse. The rest were treating her like an M1 killer. Looping pallets. That's kind of why I like her. The survivors have to change things up to survive. She is actually feared! As a survivor I like playing against a good nurse. Keeps me on my toes instead of the boring "find this jungle gym, loop it till I need to drop a pallet. Rinse+repeat". I never feel bad about getting killed by a good Nurse because I feel I was outplayed. It takes time and dedication to get good with her.

A good Nurse does make solo survivor even more unbearable. I will admit that. That's probably one of the reasons the devs haven't fixed her. I still think the primary reason is negligence.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

They won't. Fixing her power could lead to more people playing her, which would lead to more survivors complaining, dcing, suiciding or just quitting the game. The only way I can see them fixing her is if the killer population drastically drops.

Kinda like how it's dropping now?
