I don't think so. What's the goal? To have all Killers equally picked? There's always gonna be a least picked Killer, but least picked doesn't = least powerful, especially not in her case. A good enough buff would be just fixing her issues.

and that is all I ask. Fix her power so it works when I tell it too. Instead we got a new UI no one asked for.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

    No According to the Statistics.

That's the thing. According to her statistics she is the least picked killer. Does that mean we should buff her? :P

  • Ardetha has some nice videos on Nurse.

As for easy killers to learn. As much as the survivor community will hate me for it, Freddy. He is easy to pick up and probably A tier at red rank. Other solid choices are Billy and Oni since they have mobility and have a way to one shot survivors.

  • I agree but the best way to deal with a troll is to stop feeding it.

  • Patch 1.9.2

It was so bad the devs removed it. If they take it out completely instead of adjusting something else to mitigate the damage. That's how you know it was bad. They don't like to remove a patch because that is basically admitting they made a mistake. Any other time they would tweak the numbers and say they "balanced" it. This patch was so unhealthy for the game they had to cut it out.

This was the patch that removed the timing needed to stun the killer with a pallet/flashlight during a pick up animation. Slugging was practically mandatory when this patch launched. It made hooking survivors so damn difficult that the devs actually took notice in like a week. If a survivor was down at a pallet you had to slug at that point. The worst part is the devs believed this was a QoL change to the game. Since that patch nearly 3 years ago, I have lost faith in the balance team and no matter what they do from here on. They will never get that trust back from me. No matter how much good they do, I will always look back at that moment and remind them "That was your idea".

Your entire comment history just seems like bait

    yet people keep responding.

  • You "could" go check a gen but there might not be someone there. Which is a waste of your time. If you go back to the hook you KNOW there are at least 2 people there. It's not try hard it's playing efficiently.

and this is a competitive game. Not E-sports lvl but google the definition. 2 sides pitted against each other with different objectives. It's fits.

  • Maybe if more people played killer your que times would be quicker and your MM would be closer.

  • Except for the one room upstairs in dead dawg saloon, why would you want to break the walls as survivor? Except for that one room that is a dead end every other breakable wall I've seen cuts down on the time it takes the killer to catch you. If the killer wastes time breaking a wall that's more time for you to get away from him. Wouldn't breaking the walls for killer help him more than you?

  • @HollowsGrief said:

Because most of the people who were going to buy GF DLC already bought it, thus no reason to fix anymore bugs involving him.

Also his dlc still sells so the devs aren't going to do something that makes him less appealing. That would be like nerfing DS and wondering why the halloween dlc sales dropped.

  • ummmm, I don't remember seeing nemesis in the original game of RE2. I even still have a copy of that game downstairs when they ported it over to N64. There was a memo from Brad that mentioned him but that was about it. Mr X was the big guy in RE2. Nemesis didn't show up till RE3. The game was even called Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

  • I only request we get the original nemesis. Not the ######### remake version whose encounters were all scripted.

Even though F13 can't add new content, I still find full lobbies of 8 people in less then a minute 90% of the time, it's crazy.

Even though DBD always had the bigger playerbase, I never found issues finding lobbies on it. Compared to this game where it normally takes 3 to 5 minutes if not longer for a solo que for me. It sucks.

I didn't give FT13th a chance. I bought it one Christmas, majority of my matches were dc'ers when they found out they weren't Jason, when I was Jason the few that stuck around had way more hours than me so I didn't stand a chance or learn anything. The thing that really put me off FT13th was the fact if I was killed early I had to spectate until the entire match ended if I wanted to get my exp.

  • I think only the devs would know the exact details as we can only speculate. Like others have said, licensing hell. FT13th more or less died at launch and the law sue was the nail in the coffin. I thought the case was over already but I think it's still going. Until it is over there's no point paying for Jason's IP rights because it could change hands. When the law sue started FT13th wasn't allowed to add anything related to Jason, at all. That game became stagnant and dead in the water. If BHVR somehow got permission to add Jason while the case is still being settled it would cause problems.

They wouldn't be able to change or tweak him. So he would have to be viable the moment they release him. I don't think any developer could pull that off without some serious testing. If he was busted at release they wouldn't be able to fix him.

If they added a Crystal Lake map and they found some issues with it, they couldn't alter it.

Last, why would we want Jason in here? If he's just going to be another "fun" killer competent survivors can bully then why would FT13th fans want to put him through that?

  • Trying to reason with bias mains on this forum.

Undying is NOT easily manageable ESPECIALLY if you are paired with 3 other teammates who are solo as well. Even SWF’s can have a hard time taking out this combo. You’re right on some parts, yes we should of been getting gens done but we struggled, that is not the killers fault and have only myself and my teammates to blame. But I cannot be upset with my team either it’s solo que. I also want to correct you on something... I was not “angry that he didn’t play dumb”, I used “bored” and “disgusted” because that’s how I felt.

I stopped reading at "Even SWF’s can have a hard time taking out this combo."

Resident Evil died after Code Veronica. But characters from the first games would be nice.

RE4 was good. Lot of action while still retaining the horror aspect. I only enjoyed 5 because it had coop. 6 was just goofy. 7 was fun but one and done. RE2 remake was good. RE3 remake was a cash grab.

Yet it is already a masterpiece of a game, and if a RE chapter were to be released, hyping up the new game with it would be an amazing revenue stream for RE's creators.

Though if it were it would still be an old game because I doubt the devs or RE's creators thought that out ahead of time

I hope the game is good but given how Capcom screwed up Nemesis. I will wait until a reviewer I trust gets a look at it. Probably AngryJoe. I liked RE7 but my one issue was the replay-ability. Once I beat the game I had little motivation to play it again.

  • Personally I think there should be more negatives to being the obsession.

The only real danger is if the killer is using rancor.

There's remember me but who runs that now that it's been nerfed?

STBFL the killer is likely to ignore you if they want to keep those stacks.

PWYF the killer will start chasing you and then break off for a stack.

If Dying Light is in play the killer will want to hook non obsession survivors.

No one uses Furtive Chase. (Seriously ######### would we need a smaller TR during a chase?)

Dark Devotion. If you want to get real value out of that you would want to hit the obsession and leave to get the drop on someone else.

Dead Man's Switch. Again, there's way better perks to choose from. You will hardly run into this.

Nemesis. Gives oblivious to someone if they stun the killer. Not really dangerous.

  • If anything kills this game I think it will be the devs.

Dont think its fair, bc how can it be fair to ban me from mm after the game crashes wich is not my fault. But okey.. whaaaatever ;)

It's not fair but the alternative is worse. If people could DC on purpose and skip the dc penalty then the number of quitters would sky rocket. This way at least keeps those players out of the game if they keep doing it. I've had the 5 min ban happen to me too because of connection lost. Since I never quit I only got a 5 min ban. Is 5 mins really that much time? If they could tell the difference between a genuine DC and a quitter that would be great but as of now they can't.

Id rather suffer the rare occasionally 5 min ban than allow all the quitters to get away with it.

  • I think they only got the rights to use the reboot Freddy. That's why we don't have the Freddy played by Robert Englund. To put a skin of him in here they would have to get the rights to another IP. Only it wouldn't be a new killer it would just be a skin and probably wouldn't sell as much.

  • I say buff it. Make it so powerful that virtually ALL killers stop playing. When the cosmetic buying survivors have zero games and they play something else. Maybe then the devs will stop cranking out unfinished content and work on game balance.

  • Were you around when Freddy first released? Lets not go back to that.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

I'd rather it be bloody coil so survivors can actually have some risk when countering the killers power, but I guess it would make getting out of the basement near impossible.

I really wish they would just hurry up and increase his base trap carry count and setting speed.

Yeah. I hate how trapper is so dependent on his power. Yet without bloody coil there is zero risk for the survivors disabling his power. GF is an M1 killer without his power but the survivor at least gets revealed when they kick him out of stealth. So there's some draw back to denying him his power.

  • @Woot1234 said:

I would leave everything as-is except change from being in TR to being in some distance of the killer. It would be far more predictable. One needs to think through all the consequences, like it also means BT now works with Freddy when the survivor is in dream world. I am a killer main and don't have a problem with hook diving. BT encourages risky survivor behavior and often I can parlay it into downing the unhooker. Burn a hook state and get another PGTW? Yes please

Honestly I feel BT would be fair if it went of killer's proximity to the hook instead of TR. Like op mentioned, some killers can bypass it and it really sucks when I'm trying to save someone from Freddy and I'm asleep.

I ######### about DS+UB all the time on the forums but I don't have any issues with BT because it's for your teams sake and not yours. I remember when it applied to both people. That version sucked.

  • It sounds more like "solo survivor is unplayable".

Well it was quickly removed the 1.9.2 update and MOM was nerfed in a month. Ruin needed to be changed it was overused. Legion was not weak yes he was but he was very annoying to go against Freddy would get reworked but I thought people liked old Freddy. The only thing I agree with is the Twins yes there weak but now there the most unfun killer to go against.

Freddy when he first came out was very different. He didn't have snares or dream pallets. There was no timer until you fell asleep either. The only way to fall asleep was to be hit by his power which had a short range. You had to be asleep for him to even hit you. He had to touch you with his power and wait 7 seconds for you to fall asleep. Failing a skill check woke you up. There were times when I hit someone with his power and by the time they fell asleep they finished what they were doing. Repairing a gen, opening the gates ect. Old Freddy was the worst killer in the game till Legion got here. Some people could literally slow the game to a halt if they could keep multiple survivors asleep though. That's what some Freddy mains miss about old Freddy. The issue was when he released. Killers said he was weak. Survivors said he was op. The devs nerfed him in like a week. The survivors then learned how to fight against him. So we had a weak killer that got even weaker. This is why I feel the balance team has no clue how to balance the game. It took nearly 2 years to get him reworked. Now he's in a good spot and I hate it when people suggest nerfing him because I remember what he was. Current Freddy is a big improvement.

MoM they had to have known that was going to break the game. Which leads me to suspect they released it the way it was deliberately. Then after word got around and people bought Ash, then they nerfed it.

Old ruin did not need to be nerfed. Survivors need to learn to hit great skill checks. It's is still the most used killer perk even without undying. What does that tell you? Against competent survivors some form of gen slow down is a must pick.

Legion was pretty broken at his release. I remember people wounding you then walking backwards. They would follow your blood trail and since he wasn't facing you it didn't count as a chase. So it was impossible to mend and you would bleed out eventually. Then there was the double mending add ons that kept stacking your mend time every single time he hit you with frenzy. It was faster to get downed and have someone revive you. Don't miss those days.

I haven't even played since Twins came out. I even had enough shards saved up and I don't want them. I feel they are that bad. Even if the killer sucks I've unlocked them just for their perks but these don't even interest me.

when Spirit Ghostface and Freddy Doc and Lethaerface were #########

I feel there are more instances where we told them "That's a bad idea" and they went through with it anyway.

Patch 1.9.2 probably being the most glaring.

    Old MoM

    The ruin rework

The release of Freddy, Legion, Twins. There was a lot of killer mains saying this killer is weak and the devs released it anyway.

they stopped along time ago, i think its because we complained so much they started to just stop caring.

A lot of people in this community complain because they don't want to improve. They just want to win even if it's handed to them.

However there is a lot of complaints that are very valid. I guess they can't separate the truth from the bullshit.

Well, if they're gonna change things nobody asked for, they could've at least changed them for the better.

That too. I mean if they wanted to change the HUD they should have taken a page from MMOs. Let us customize the HUD. Allow us to move the various windows to where we want them. The old HUD everything I needed to know was in one spot. Now I need to look at the bottom left, the middle left, and the middle top to get all the info that used to be in the same place.

  • Since when have the devs listened to our feedback?

  • I don't think it's needed or appreciated. It feels like a slap to the face when you consider the other issues they could be working on. They could have worked on a new HUD so they don't have to balance the actual game?

  • I think the issue is you tried "solo survivor". Randoms flat out suck in this game. It's why I don't play survivor outside of swf anymore.

  • Deathslinger-Not because I think he has no counter play it's because I suck at dodging his shots.

Plague-If Im with randoms Im the only person who DOESN'T cleanse.

Bubba-Most of them I run into are face campers.

I keep posting this video because it's true. I think it should be in the survivor tutorial or their loading screen.

"Dont unhook in the killer's face and if the killer comes back the rescuer should try to get their attention instead of sneaking away"

  • TL:DR

I always thought Stefano would make a good killer. He could set camera traps that would time stop the survivors. His mori can leave an after image of the mori playing in a loop like in the game.

  • If the killer killed 3 people before 5 gens were completed, found the hatch before you and closed it. You shouldn't stand a chance at that point. Hatch was your last chance. You don't deserve to have an escape route 100% of the time.

Whispers needs no counter because it isn't aura reading. Good killers can use it to pin you down but it doesn't tell you where the survivor is. Just the general direction. Hell most of the time I rarely see killers using it. It's such an underrated perk in the eyes of the community. It's my favorite tracking perk but people want that BP bonus from BBQ.

I mean, if there is no progress on any Gen, this should be proof enough. At this point they are not advancing the game, which means they hold the game hostage by not doing anything and just evading the Killer the whole time.

Probably. When it comes to reports I like to be certain instead of salty. Considering my usual end game chat Id like to see the amount of reports filed against me because I know every single one of them is false. I've had games where 2 people were left and they were both hiding. Hoping one would die so they could find the hatch but since I run Whispers in most of my builds. Those situations never lasted as long as OP has posted.

Don't you worry about a thing, I speak for a lot of terrible players when I say this. Just because I'm bad at hitting DS doesn't mean I'm good at anything else. Often times a killer will chase me after a successful DS and I will hit a wall, or screw up a vault, or my dumbass will just loop right into their arms anyways.

The killer will get their satisfaction off my corpse, believe it. Yet even so I will get to feel like an absolute god for a solid 15 seconds.

The issue is you may not be able to hit DS but a #@$% ton of other people never miss. No offense intended but this is why you shouldn't balance the game around new or bad players.

  • Go ahead. Buff DS. Make it have multiple uses. Make it unfailable.

See I like teaching lessons this way because I want to see what your gonna do the next day. When there is zero people playing killer and your que times are 1 hour long.

  • I'm not sure. If the 2 Claudettes were deliberately hiding and refusing to do the objective then I think that would be considered "Holding the game hostage". Thing is, how can you prove they were neglecting to play and just hoping the other would be found first so they could find the hatch?

  • I think a better question is how often do I not get toxic messages in the end game chat. One of the benefits of cross platforms is consoles can't talk to me.

  • Best to use Ghosty as a surprise attack. I don't stalk unless there's more than 1 person. If 2 people are together get a good stalk on both. 99% them then go after one of them. Later in the match when you run into the other. Pop your power and insta expose them. They can't reveal you fast enough. Just remember if you 99% someone, if you hit them with an ordinary M1 that resets their stalk. I've chased people and ignored hitting them just for my power to recharge so I could one shot them.

Perks that help with tracking are good for GF. Whispers, discordance, nurse's calling. If you know someone is at a gen pop your power before you get in TR range. Then approach from an angle to get a hit in before they run away. Even if they have spine chill they don't know the direction your coming from.

  • Pay backs a #########

When a survivor teabags multiple times. The exit gate is blocked, the hatch closes, they are exposed and can be moried :P

  • I find it's best to just treat him like Mikey. Run from him and block los. Hope someone else reveals him.

  • Id rather they focus more on game balance and bug fixes.
