So since a lot of YouTubers are uploading videos on the game, get ready for these kind of posts, as it happens when any new similar game comes out.
WILL IT ACTUALLY KILL THIS GAME?! WILL IT EVER GET OUT OF EARLY ACCESS?! IS THERE A POINT TO ME POSTING THIS?! FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL DBD!
Adding Dragonball it anything is a quick way to make me uninstall it.

Getting a power for Jason would be as simple as looking at his own game and pulling ideas. Teleporting using the mist; walking right through dropped pallets and breakable walls; seeing survivors' auras for a set period of time. They could all be power ideas, and none of them were OP in F13th, a game that survivors only had one chance in once the already rare pocket knives ran out. But yeah, someone would find some reason to call map pressure OP.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2002016#Comment_2002016
You got it backward, buddy.
Jason is a big guy in a mask that uses a machete.
Trapper is a big guy in a mask that uses a machete and can strategically place traps around the map.
Show me how I got that backwards.
-
Jason is just Trapper with LESS gameplay.

This post further cements that Survivor mains only want ONE kind of game.
Killers are not allowed to tunnel.
Killers are not allowed to slug.
Killers are not allowed to AFK.
Killers are not allowed to farm.
Killers are not allowed to Mori.
Killers are not allowed to play endgame, or endgame perks like NOED.
The ONLY acceptable playstyle for a Killer is one where they pick a Survivor, chase them until the Survivor escapes, and then repeat. If he gets lucky and gets downed, he needs to hook them and then leave so the other team can get the unhook and get their altruism points. That previous Survivor is now not allowed to be hooked again until it is spread around enough that all four Survivors can escape.
That's it. That is the ONLY form of acceptable game to these people.
-
Michael Myers' voice acting is perfect. 10/10 true to source material.
-
I'm really starting to hate the term "sweaty".
All I hear is "I hate it when players are trying to actually win the game".

So you think you shouldn't be able to post on the forums because you yourself have 10 posts? Lol I've got way too many hours in this game and even I'll say some of what they complain about is definitely warranted and it should be welcomed regardless of post amounts
There is a difference between being able to post a comment and being able to start a discussion thread.
-
It still needs a Totem Count Tracker.
-
I am not sure what the "fix" is, but I definitely think shooting a Survivor across a pallet should result in something a bit more rewarding than what we have now.
-
It pleases me that this screenshot I took makes the rounds through other people's posts. :)

Listen for it. It makes a sound like crackling glass.

I played a solo game with another person on the same platform as me and two others on different systems. The guy invited me to his party but I declined and the guys switched last second to a claudette with a key. Long story short he got camped untill he died and another survivor got camped as well. I escaped with one other and the guy with the key invited me to his party again but I messaged him saying I want to play solo and he then called me trash and weak and proceeded to go off on me. I just ignored him
and now I'm wondering why are survivors turning on each other, aren't we supposed to be friends and work together?
You are in Solo Queue. That generally means "every man for himself". You are only nominally working together. Many Survivors will happily leave someone to die they don't know.
-
I think you should need 50 posts to START a thread. I think that would cut down on these people with like very few posts under their belt coming in and starting some pointless thread like "devour hope needs a rework", with no other substance to the thread.

Well, yes, so if they end up sprint bursting in a straight line while you strategically deplete all your charges, you'll catch up to them, but keep in mind that bubba's chainsaw needs a period to accelerate, as well as the charge, and unless you're playing midwich (god bless your soul), most sprintbursts will help them make it to a loop.
The corn. The endless, endless corn.

I´m so proud i camped those 4 survivors and it counted as 12 hook perfect match.
Honestly if you can straight up camp four survivors to death, that kinda deserves some pride. You gotta seriously potato to screw up generators if the Killer is just playing British Royal Guard for like 8 minutes straight.
-
The problem with the perk is how long it takes you out of the game. In the time it took for you to Self-Care you could have done almost half a generator. It's insane how long it takes without Botany or something.
Throw in Sloppy Butcher, which is a super common Killer perk, and it takes something like 42 seconds. It's agonizingly slow. I personally try not to heal myself or someone else unless I have some kind of boost going on like a Medkit, double-teaming the hurt Survivor, We'll Make It, etc.
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
I don't know where you got the idea that it's faster than spirntburst, it's a maximum of 135% with the beast's marks, compared to 150% for sprint burst.
I play against a lot of Bubba, and I often see them getting too cozy with their chainsaw. Keep in mind that Bubba can easily be countered by tight looping and windows, so identifying strong loops is a powerful counter. At that point, they have to m1 you. Even pallet gyms can be a powerful counter, while the pallet is still up.
True, but the Sprint Burst lasts 3 seconds. You can chain the charges of the chainsaw for much longer than 3 seconds.
-
I play both and find they are difficult in different ways.
Deathslinger reaction times are MUCH better than Huntress. It is much easier to snap a shot off and get a hit with him than Huntress because of the speed the projectile moves.
That said...
The Deathslinger has a hit box about as wide as a Jolly Rancher candy. Huntress hatchets have a reality-warping effect that hit everything within a three-foot sphere of the actual hand axe.
So it's a different kind of learning how to shoot.

Fewer fragile killers.
1.) What is wrong with being a "fragile" killer?
2.) How does that affect your gameplay?

I would be very happy if all the fragile killers left the game, yes. Please see yourselves out. Thank you!
How does this benefit the game AT ALL?

Killers are so fragile. It's hilarious.
"Fragile".
These "fragile" Killers are the reason you have a game. But by all means, keep calling them fragile and raise your queue times.

I'm not sure that all teabagging survivors realize this may be perceived as something offending. They just saw someone else doing it and then repeat without any thought.
Is this a serious statement? Do you really think that a Survivor out there that teabags me three times after hitting me in the head with a pallet is saying "thank you"?
-
I do not see the harm in Decisive Strike during the EGC after its nerfed state. Maybe the previous Decisive Strike, but not the post-nerf one.
-
Survivors: "There's nothing wrong with teabagging."
Also Survivors: "Why do Killers have to tunnel and camp!?"
-
Survivors will tunnel generators in 5 minutes or less and then complain they didn't get enough Altruism points when they win.
-
Wraith?

I play both roles equally. The game is unbalanced and this would force the devs to care about balance more
It totally would not and you have no evidence to prove that it would. It sounds like you just hate Ghostface, because honestly if I were to a ban a Killer Ghostface isn't even in the top 5.
This is not a MOBA. You cannot compare this game to League of Legends which has a whopping 140 characters. If I was a Doctor main, and didn't play other Killers, and you banned Doctor, I would just quit the lobby and log out. It's as simple as that. Then the already long Survivor queues would go through the roof.

@AlxPilk95 said:
If we want people to stick around (and to punish those who abuse broken killer), we should allow survivors to each pick (or maybe even just vote on) one killer that can’t be played that trial.
I can’t play against ghost face and would love to never see that busted overpowered thing again.
Just when I think Survivors cannot get more entitled in dictating how Killers are allowed to play, we reach peak Survivor Main with this post.
Now Killers aren't even allowed to play who they want anymore. Total gigabrain move.

Can't get any altruism, are in fact penalized because the killer was a dick. So yes, it does ruin others games.
Pfft. Who cares about Atruism? It's just bloodpoints and rank is meaningless. Take your free exit!

Which does not help the person on the hook. Flashlight is a minor inconvenience, easy to play around. Insidious is just a scumbag ruining everyone else's game.
Gens before friends.
Doesn't ruin everyone's game. Just that dude's.

because it is for a good cause in trying to limit the long wait times for dead by daylight. Send to friends who also want this or who don't want to play because the match wait times are too long. Let's solve this and make the developers see the dbd community is fed up with waiting 10-20 minutes just to load into a match.
Exactly what do you think is the cause of the wait times and why do you think this is a Dev issue?

Thank you for the DBD version of Steiner Math.

Why would defending your house and property from trespassers and thieves incur some sort of penalty?
Addendum 3.17 in the Entity Property Charter states "Unauthorized entry to a residential domicile shall render the entrant outside of any other protection under law, and the owner can remove said entrant through means up to and including deadly force".
I've got that pinned to the wall of my Homeowner Myers house. Damned kids keep coming in and messing with my stuff! They even emptied my chest once, but I made them regret that...
Unless your Bubba is currently in one of those pathetic "Duty To Retreat" realms.

I feel those changes would make the perk needlessly convoluted.

how is one "bullying" and the other isnt
Because half the things Survivors whine about are regular gameplay mechanics. There's NO REASON to have the gates open with all four Survivors alive do anything except LEAVE. Anything after that is being a jerk on purpose. The game is OVER. Take your W already.

This is just the same old "video games make people violent" argument. Just because the video game character kills people doesn't mean that people who play as him or see him are also going to start killing people. Gamers aren't some wild animals that don't know the difference between reality and a game, not sure why people think that we're incapable of not repeating what we see.
You beat me to it. This has the same vibes as the arguments that were made as to why Mortal Kombat should be banned.
-
The general belief is you should die on the hook so your ally can escape. You CAN go for the save, but if there are gens left chances are you guys are screwed since the best case scenario is the Killer lets you get the unhook but not at least one of you is injured. Smart Killers will proxy camp the hook and get both of his last downs.
-
Are people seriously whining about Insidious?
The perk that gives Survivors free generators?
Wow. Survivors really will complain about ANYTHING.
-
@Mineguy said:
Why got it changed? In the past when a killer was afk you could go around him and at least got chase points. Now the survivor gets nothing except gen points and escape. That's max 13k and is extremely boring.
Please change it back or give killers a ban for being afk and ruining the game for 4 players.
A free win is now "ruining" the game.
-
Killers for my come in three flavors:
1.) Killers I like to play (Huntress, Ghostface, Pyramidhead)
2.) Killers I don't mind doing the daily for (Clown, Myers, Doctor)
3.) Killers I hate with a passion and will swipe their daily away on sight (Demogorgon, Oni, Hag)
I understand the getting looped part. It is a huge part of why I hated playing Leatherface. He was my first leveled Killer for his perks, obviously, and once he hit 40 I only played him if his daily came up cause I got so fed up with being looped. Once I learned that someone trying to drop a pallet on me got a hatchet to the face, I was done with that waddling idiot.

I've never seen anyone try to duck teachables so badly they got all the way top P3 / 50 without them. :P

@Smeagolthevile said:

The killer should leave the hook because the game incentivizes it. The developers tell you how to play the game by how they reward bloodpoints. you lose points for being near the hook. By camping you do not get into chases, you do not hit survivors, you do not get multiple hooks. Where you could end a match with nearly 100k bloodpoints, a camping killer ends with around 30k.
From a gameplay perspective, camping a hook is not only boring, but it leaves you open to getting just quickly overrun. If the other survivors just do not care at all about their ally, they can get 3 gens done in the time you hook the one, then you hook a second, and the last 2 gens are done and 2 escape. You are losing on that prospect.
This argument hinges on the underlying premise that the Killer in your scenario is playing for, or cares about, bloodpoints.
Any Killer that does not is not subject to this argument.
