But you're being toxic just because somebody ran a perk that you think is automatically annoying... just because someone uses it doesnt mean they are automatically toxic, sweaty, annoying. But hey. Whatever you say Jack, you're the master race.
What do you think the word "toxic" means?

Not everyone is toxic mate just cause they run a perk. I guess you were hurt before by it. It's ok. We're here.
I didn't say toxic. I said I don't feel sorry for them. Same reason I don't feel sorry for flashlight clickers. Run something annoying, be prepared for the extra special time you get to spend with the Killer.

Take DbD, ultra settings, 62/80 fps with RTX 2060 and a Ryzen 2600x.
Now take BFV, ultra settings, 120 fps constant, with 64 players shooting, running, throwing grenade, building collapsing ant tank exploding =) and overall the game has way better base graphics.
So you play @ 62 FPS. I have a 1400€ gaming RIG, i play with 62 FPS and i feel happy...
A game like DbD, on UE4 should run @ 144 fps constant in high preset on my rig. I have a 240hz monitor, it's not to play with 62 fps...
Edit : while playing, i have 90 fps constant if i lock them, i can't go past it or else frames are uneven. Anyway when i unlock my FPS goes from 120 to 90 with GPU @ 50% max, CPU @ 25% max, Max Thread @ 70%. I have 16 GB 3200Mhz and a SSD EVO. So definitely something is leaking somewhere.
So basically the game is fine you just have insanely high standards. Got it.

How many fps ?
If you play @ 62 FPS, forget it, i don't play on pc to get 62 fps only.
I run on ULTRA settings. Stop making excuses. The game is not that bad.

Supposedly it is to make up for the fact that the map only has like 2 windows... but I still call garbage on this map.

There's no issue with him being slower, as he's able to use POTD whilst laying said trails. He would either need a separate stance for laying trails and for using POTD, which would just be overly complex and stupid, or have his zoning be genuinely busted.
He doesn't need this.
@Toblerone007 said:

Not the trails but rather hitting the ranged attack. That's where the zoning comes from. It would be constant hit pressure and PH already hits through walls.
I think identifying the spots where survivors have no choice into running back into trails is where that ability is best used. Those spots where it's either stay on the tile and run into the trail or run in dead zone and give the hit free anyway if you don't want to touch the trail.
PH shouldn't receive a buff. I think he's in a good spot right now.
Both of these arguments are obsessing over the Ranged Attack. I'm talking about the fact that his entire game mechanic revolves around applying something on the ground that tends to last about a minute and a half and then goes away.
Of all the Killer dailies I do, his is the absolute hardest because getting four Cages of Atonement in one match is extremely hard, and if I do get it I basically have to throw the match and play stupidly to get it, almost guaranteeing a loss.

@EvanSnowWolf How is it fine?
There have been literally hundreds of posts on this forum explaining why it is fine. I'm sure a simple search of the forums will find a few DOZEN for you.
Short version: NOED is fine, it only works in endgame, it has no effect on M2, it has no effect on people already injured, it can be removed by popping a totem, and it forces a killer to run with only 75% of their perks for almost the whole game.
Counter arguments to common nonsense:
"They didn't earn those kills!"
You "earn" kills by pressing M1 all the time. This just ignores one health state, like every other Exposed effect in the game.
"NOED is for bad killers only."
It's run at red ranks, too.
"It's a crutch perk!"
All perks are crutch perks.
"If you were good, you wouldn't need NOED."
If you were good you wouldn't need ANY perks, but they are nice to have, which is why they are called "perks".
"Don't tell me to just do bones!"
Just do bones. I understand it is harder in solo queue, but it's literally the answer. You just don't wanna do it.

It's happened before with a Bubba. My teamate had OoO and he couldnt see his aura but he could hear terror radius. Within 15 seconds of game start, he was being chased. Worst part is, he spawned in a bloody dead zone on Autohaven. 🤣
Forgive me if I fail to summon sympathy for someone running OoO.

Well, i guess 90% of the players on this forum has a PC weaker than a PS5 (Ryzen 3600 underclocked + RTX 2070/2080).
40% weaker than a PS4 (Pentium G4400 + GTX 980).
So no, PC is not Masterrace unless you have money and you change your hardware every two years.
I run a $1400 PC that I bought years ago and I do not have performance issues on it. My FPS does not drop, I don't freeze, I don't disconnect.
Quit acting like this game runs like Crysis.

If you give PH normal speed using PotD you gain much more zoning on survivors. They'll be giving you distance no matter what trying to avoid taking the ranged hit. Similar to deathslinger but at least you can already dodge PH's ability if you're quick to react. PH is already very good in chase.
Yes, but it makes actually doing your goal of applying torment that much harder. Unless they are looping you, chances are they are not going to run directly back into your trails anyway.

As part of the killer community, we will not only stare at the wall, but we will also make sure to be at least 64 meters away from any hooked survivors or incomplete generators to ensure that the survivor has a nice rescue and give ample time for the hooked survivor to get over their trauma.
Then they will complain about our Devour Hope stacks!

The cap is pointless.
The issue with Pyramidhead is the loss of speed while applying trails.

Just got into the Shrine map. So huge map. Literally in the first couple of seconds into the match before I even found someone or really move three gens popped. I was instantly done after that. Just went AFK and let them leave. No way to even get a 1k after that unless I camped and tunneled. That 3 gen rush instantly killed my mood for playing the match. I couldn’t even gen patrol cause the map was so huge. Not only that but I’m rank 10 and can’t depip at all. I didn’t kill anyone in my other matches just hooked. I should be down to at least 12 by now but I can’t depip. I don’t want to face off against these level of survivors. They are out of my league.
Why is the overwhelming majority of your started threads you complaining about something?
-
If tunnelling and camping are not viable strategies, people wouldn't complain about them so much.
-
I see you don't under economics.
You see, the game has set a price point they feel the public will pay. The public is paying this value, therefore there is no reason to lower the price as the demand is such that they can charge the current prices.

I would ONLY support something like this in any incarnation if you only got the bloodpoints if you stayed ALL the way to the end of the match after the final Survivor died or escaped. If you leave early, you get nothing.

What you should be afraid of is spawning in the terror radius of a Deathslinger running Monitor & Abuse.

That's a good response, I like it, though at the end of the day this is a *game* we're playing, and it feels as if you get punished for playing too well or for having unskilled opponents. I remember I almost depipped because nobody bothered unhooking, went down in seconds and let everyone die on first hook.
Yeah, I don't AGREE with it, but it appears to be what the game developers were going for. Sort of making a lore-based excuse on why Killers should make the games longer to cause a fuller gameplay experience and justify queue times.

We are all human. There should be an even amount of talent between killer and survivor. So the outcomes should be fairly even if you look at stats
There should be an even amount of talent between killer and survivor? Based on what?
We've already established the existence of boosted Survivors. There's no such thing as a boosted Killer.

So the Onus is on killers to play the game less well, not on the survivors to play better...
That's a crap system. It should stand to reason if those Survivors are blown out of the water by you, they depip and you rank upward. Showing mercy to bad teams is not a skill, it just shows why matchmaking in this game is broken. Frankly, the way it is now only proves Trutalent is correct in that the killer win condition is and should be based on hooks, not kills.
It really is a weird setup. They tell you to kill, but apparently just going and doing that really well is... bad. Because: reasons. I understand the lore reason they come up, but it makes for weird gameplay. I'm reminded of Devour Hope, where if I want stacks of it on a map like Hawkins I have to hook the Survivor and immediately run as hard and fast as I can away from the hook so I can get out of the radius to get my stack when I let the Survivor go. Neat idea, but it makes no sense at all.
It's a game that wants you to hit every Survivor, chase every Survivor, and hook every Survivor and do it multiple times each. But at the same time the Survivors are doing Generators and their Lightbringer Emblem doesn't lose points if you get chased off the gen or someone else finishes it. It's just do the gens (mostly) for that Emblem. Meanwhile, the Killer can actually LOSE points if the Survivors heal. What? Why? Wouldn't the Entity want them to heal so I can wound them some more? To inflict more pain?
The whole system feels like it was rushed together in a single afternoon and no one decided to fix it later.

The problem with this though, is that often it is not in the killers control. Survivors killing themselves on hook, or letting their teammates die on the hook. Once you hook a survivor, you can't unhook them, you rely on the other survivors to actually do something.
There is no way you hook and drain all four survivors to zero in under 3 minutes on accident. That was intentional.

Why is this in the game? Just had a match where I got a 3k within the first 2 minutes of the game. I let the last guy ds me and get hatch for points but guess what, de-pip. Why is this a thing? Even a 4k probably would've gotten me a de-pip to. Lets hope this MMR is better.
The Entity feeds off pain, suffering, despair, and other negative emotions. It wanted it a meal and you handed it three M&Ms. Of course it is displeased. You ended the game as fast as you could so all your emblems are garbage. MMR has nothing to do with it.
Next time play with your food a little bit better.

What's next, you're going to blame the Survivors for "not engaging" with an AFK Killer?
Correct. Especially since some AFK killers actually let you engage. I actually HAVE pipped up against an AFK killer that had an M1 macro going.

So, I’m rank 2 trying to get rank 1 before the reset happens. I go against a basement camping Bubba. So me and my teammates do all the gens and escape. It’s impossible for me to get into any chases for points as he is literally basement camping. I find it really stupid how I still lose a pip even tho I escaped. Don’t u think u should atleast black pip when escaping through the exit gate or hatch no matter what happened in the game? Now I’m 3 pips away from rank 1. “Citation needed”
You run NOED as part of your build and maintain a consistent rank 1 and then come back and talk to me. It only works on mid-tier.
My citation is the hours and hours of footage of SpookNJukes doing exactly what I just said. You want a link to his channel? I'm sure you can find it on your own.
Many red rank killers don't run it because they find it boring, not cause it sucks.
One more time for you people in the cheap seats: NOED HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SKILL AS A KILLER.

You don’t get 4 man kills with NOED unless the survivors are absolutely horrible, or make grossly negligent errors. NOED is a game patch left in by the devs to reward sub-par killers against mid-tier survivors.
None of this refutes what I said. You are still clinging to the myth that the perk is for bad killers, and you have yet to prove why that is so except to cling to the additional myth that generator completion has anything to do with killer skill.
-
@JediWithASniper said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2016617#Comment_2016617
Demonstrating the inability of a garbage NOED killer to understand logic.
Almost every attack on this perk hinges on some variation of the tired phrase "NOED rewards bad killers".
There's no evidence whatsoever to support this except for the one singular claim that 5 gens being completed indicates some sort of failure on the part of the killer.
This is fallacious as it has nothing to do with the killer's objective. Gen pressure is designed to stall the game, nothing more.
The killer's objective is to kill four people, however manner he can do that.
I could use a perk build that entirely revolved my strategy around waiting for you to finish the five generators and then taking advantage of the endgame collapse. This would require the end game collapse to take place as part of my strategy, which means it has nothing to do with me winning or losing some other manufactured concept of what you think killer winning is. By its very nature it would be a requirement of my plan, so no, it would have nothing to do with me being a bad killer.

I see no problem. First of all, it was 15 seconds and not 10. Second of all you were running and leaving scratch marks. Third off that is a freaking Nurse who can cross half the map in two blinks. Fourth of all you were right near a generator, the most likely spot for a Killer to check.
This is fine.

Ok but I'd still like to disagree because not everyone plays like an #########, so I would gladly trade trolls and campers for longer queues any day. Better a fair & fun game than unfun match 20 mins time wasted. There are many players in dbd and surely it won't affect queues that much. If Smal pp perk/addon, tunnel+camp type of killer mains suffer from long queues then it's their issue. They should change the way they play then. Or if only the 'new matchmaking' worked like it was meant to, that could have helped too...
I can hear the cries about this already.

I’m not talking about asking people to read his FAQs. I’m talking about snapping at people for asking pretty normal questions that for some reason he finds offensive. For some reason, it’s offensive to him to ask if he thinks his plague is better than so-and-so or how strong some other person’s killer is. I’ve heard him get upset a few times about different stuff, tell someone to never ask that question again, etc. He gave a lecture the other day to people about how someone requested a refund. They donated money to him with a question and was annoyed that he didn’t answer it. He said donations are free money to him. They are not payments for a service. He doesn’t have to answer questions just because people pay him, especially if the donation isnt a large enough amount. I know he can have a few thousand people in his channel at a time and might not have time to answer everyone, but there is a better way to respond to this. It would have been better if he just didn’t respond at all I think. I still watch him. He’s funny sometimes. He puts out educational material. He just seems overly sensitive and has some difficulties interacting with people sometimes.
Well, he is not wrong. That's the difference between a donation and payment for a service.
