"NOED rewards bad killers" is the single most enduring lie spread in this community. It is the Emperor Palpatine of Dead By Daylight myths.

Honest question. If you play Freddy and there's an afk with no gens done WHY THE EFFFFF ARE YOU TRYING TO SLUG THE WHOLE TEAM!!!!! Like take your hooks there's no possible WAY survivors will beat you especially if youre running thanat sloppy pop bbq qith swing chains and jump rope. Dude you really need to get some help if you enjoy doing this to green ranks. How bullied are you to play so damn sweaty
"to play so damn sweaty"
I still want to know when a word that means "to put effort into" became a pejorative insult.

Here's a great trick:
Don't stand anywhere near another Survivor. It works GREAT.
Practice your social distancing.... from Leatherface.

there's no such thing as low tier killers. Every killer is viable, some of them just require more effort, that's it.
PS: now please send me some of your salt :)
It's not salt, but your statement implies a disparity when there is none.
Every killer is viable. But not every killer is as good as the next. Some are clearly easier to play than others.
-
As someone that tends to ignore "game breaking" bugs like "Dwight's hair is messed up" or "One in 40 games has me fall through the floor", I have to say this whole Emblem debacle has made me not want to play Survivor AT ALL.
I have only played the last few days to do my Killer rituals, and that's it.
-
Lotta people in this thread bad at math.
Losing 3 gens in 5 minutes does not make you a bad Killer. It means the Survivors are coordinated as heck, and probably watching one of their teammates waste your time while they do it.
No Killer has the power to be in two places at once. You can only ever chase one Survivor at a time. It is not possible to pressure all five generators AND still have chases on Survivors that result in downs. Any competent Survivor team will prove that.
Any game that ends with 4K and all 5 gens up means the Survivors botched HARD.

yeah a lot of players just don't want to farm, they actually want to have proper matches.
I can understand you want to practice, maybe you can go into a KYF match with a friend to practice playing Nurse, the DbD Discord has some groups also where you could join to learn her.
I'm curious... is it against forum rules to discuss farming or farm matches?

Survivor: Meg Thomas

I think if you are inactive that long you are a detriment to your team.
The crowd are basically telling you to go be productive.

There's a sweet spot between having to cleanse 5 ######### totems to get rid of a perk while the killer is tunneling, slugging and camping, and 3 minute gens.
Edit: and I should clarify, now we're in it.
Double edit: seriously, I never saw a killer going for 12-hook trials with old Ruin/Undying. Not once in what, 5 months? It was always "I play badly and camp high-progress gens and hooks but still win."
Going for 12 hooks with Ruin/Undying was literally my Ghostface playstyle before they ruined Undying and my totem started blowing in a single minute.

I guess I've just never felt outplayed by a Dead Hard.
Half the time I wasn't gonna lunge anyway. So they just lurch for a second and then I attack.

Can the nurse use telekinesis and that's how she floats?
I think it leans nurse since nurse can fly and im assuming she's not going to be as slow as in the game and she wouldn't just hover. So flight + unbound teleportation would lead to some really tricky attacks. Spirit can phase in and out of reality but she has no easy way of hitting the nurse. It reallys depends on how much plot armour you want to give spirit with crazy Samurai skills but I think nurse has the upperhand. Add in telekinesis and nurse would definitely win.
If the Nurse had telekinesis why would she have to hunt a Survivor down the hard way to hit them with a rusty saw?
-
Rin is an adept swordswoman and uses a katana.
Sally is just a crazy nurse that choked someone to death and awkwardly swings a saw.
Rin takes this one easily.
-
I agree completely. This mechanic does nothing but damage my Spacebar.
Just give it the Cage of Atonement mechanic, but much faster. Failure to hit checks causes the bar to go down faster. Skill still requires, attention still requires, no wrist damage.
-
I only tunnel under one condition: if you pissed me off.
Quick ways to do that:
- Flashlight blind me
- Teabag me
- Bring a key
-
Huntress takes this in a stomp.
She's literally called "the Huntress". She could harry and stalk that old man for HOURS. His ranged weapon is inferior, and his melee weapon is inferior. There is no version of this where Anna doesn't split Caleb's skull open.

In public matches, what are the chances of 4 tournament level survivors being in the same lobby? If a killer can beat that, which he still possibly can, then what does that say for everyone else that he versus? They lose.
Devs can say to ignore stats but they are still important.
That is an exaggeration you are making boldly about DS once again. "Killer can't do anything with DS". You are either tunneling or not keeping track of who you hooked. And if they used Unbreakable, then they the 1-time use perk is now gone. They are using two perks for that. Do you then think Devour Hope and Undying is fair? Survivors have to stop working on objectives to find another objective. Most killers that complain about this has actually won the match anyway.
Even at first glance I thought Ruin was nerfed but it seems to have been buffed because of how easy killers can apply pressure, you can get a lot of value from new Ruin. I can't count how many times I had a gen at 99% and a Freddy teleports to it with Tinkerer or any other killer for that matter and it totally reset. 1/5th of the survivor objective gone. And we are complaining about DS or Unbreakable giving a health state?
I'm not even for a huge nerf for killers, but there is a lot of little things that add up, particularly perks, perhaps relooking how maps are designed again to give survivors a little better chance. Killers don't necessarily have to 4K to have fun.
And what do you look for during your Killer matches to have fun?

@GannTM said:
Yeah I feel you there. Scott Jund just proposed this idea to buff solo queue and it’s very good. Entity knows we need it because of how painful solo queue is.
And his idea is nothing more than a stopgap between current solo queue and SWF, so there's really no reason that it should hurt ANYONE.

Continously nerfing survivors and buffing of killers since the game was released has made the killer role way too easy. Nerfing survivors over and over, nerfing survivor perks, nerfing map sizes, significantly nerfing survivor defenses, and releasing powerful killer perks, slowgen perks, tracking perks, and buffing perks to be unfair such as tinkerer where it punishes the other side for doing the objective. They are oblivious to how lopsided and easy killer has become. Buffing leatherface, doctor, and clown when they didn't really need it.
Streamers boasting of huge long winstreaks, hardly breaking a sweat, the other side has hardly any chance whatsoever to win. It is not even entertaining to watch. It is not only entertainers. Because you have some experience in killer shouldn't be a green light to win 99% or 99.5% of your games. The devs should stop catering to one side and make the game fair for both sides.
Tinkerer does not punish you for doing the Objective.
Dragon's Grip does.

I love seeing a full party of flashlights. That when you bring Franklins. When you knock that thing out of their hands it's like Golumn. "LOST, MY PRECIOUS IS LOST"
And then one of them makes a whiny thread crying about how Franklin's Demise is overpowered and needs to be removed from the game.

If you want to play in hard mode, just don't heal yourself. No Mither brings nothing interesting and useful. The build you would bring with No Mither would be effective if you aren't heal or during the second part of a chase when you got hit (plus you can bring a perk instead of No Mither... (Iron Will)).
It would be so much more interesting if just the perk grants 100% points in the boldness category, you see how bad I see this perk, and 95% of the DbD community thinks it. It's a almost a trolling perk.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1953446#Comment_1953446
It's useful as a survivor who wants chase interactions, and buy a huge amount of time for the others. "Being a Survivor" like sitting on a gen, and opening gate is boring, I don't think the majority of the survivors play that role for that... (And I don't play to do gen or get a fast escape)
If a Survivor is very obviously trying to get my attention during the end game, I'm going to ignore them. I have nothing to gain taking that bait when I know where the doors are.

What's wrong with the twins?
They are a pain to do challenges and rituals against them that require chase time because Victor does not count as a Killer and does not trigger a terror radius.

Wow really ? I thought chance offering or chance perks affected chests ! Damn, yeah, that isn't even a niche perk...

No there are players who love Hope, it's just super strong against 4.4m/s killers (and I don't even talk about Hope / Blood Pact in SWF, you're almost invincible during 120 seconds). If you think Hope is bad, you think the same thing about Adrenaline imo.
Adrenaline actually does something. Hope doesn't do squat. It's a tiny bonus on a short timer that really doesn't matter unless you are in a chase and most Survivors are just going to head for the exit gates anyway, which a speed bonus of that size might net you one second of door time.

But we spend the game looking at the back of their heads.

Add ons: Iridescent Button and Defaced Smiley Pin
Offering: Mary's Letter
2 guys suicided on hook, 1 hid in a corner and I put my controller down and walked away
I refuse to ever play a game like that. Not saying it's "OP" or anything, but it's the most unfun experience I've ever had while playing DBD. No thanks.
This build doesn't do ANYTHING except hurt healing.
Not one perk there affects gens.

Killers are cry babies. They complain a lot. This is the reason this game it's not fun anymore. Devs are stressed out by how much killers are complaining about everything, and devs decided to make the game easier for them and harder for survivors. If the killer don't make 4k he/she starts to cry on this forum.
I'm impressed at your ability to type this successfully without falling on the floor laughing.
It's okay if you do... the mountain of "Nerf NOED" threads will break your fall.

Stop making things up?
I assure you those builds are very real and very common.

Oni, no contest.
It's like trying to run over a cat with a double decker bus.

You could get a character to Level 50 / Prestige 3 without ever playing a single match.
It's purely a blood point investment.

I play as a Killer and I'm replying to this thread just because you tried to forbid it.

If you have no arguments why bother writing? This is not about an imaginary comparison of power, but about a decent discussion and that requires arguments.
Because no one cares. You are trying to apply rules of argumentation as if this were a collegiate debate team. Those rules ONLY matter when both sides agree to it.
You are trying to make outlandish demands of moral imperative on a video game where one side's job is literally to KILL the other one.
This isn't a lesson on the Humanities, and it isn't a philosophical discussion on whether or not your actions in a video game are MORALLY justified when one side gets stabbed in the head with a sword and then has their tongue ripped out because they teabagged a supernaturally augmented dead samurai lord.
-
If you don't have video footage you can't prove anything.
-
Killers cannot coast on anyone else to get them to victory. If they got to red, they got there for a reason.
You trying to dunk on them because they didn't get a perfect game means literally nothing. Even Otz with his 50 game win streaks loses games sometimes.
This post was just a really weird flex to try to shame someone for... not... winning?
Find a better use of your time.
-
It means even LESS because of it.
-
My main problem with the Twins is that Victor doesn't count as a Killer and this causes some issues.
Did you need to do a generator in the Killer's terror radius? TOO BAD.
Did you need 180 seconds of chase time? TOO BAD.
Did you want Borrowed Time to go off? TOO BAD.
I understand this may be part of the point, like Pyramidhead and Decisive Strike, but it's still annoying.

Has anyone else noticed this? Just had a match where the killers could easily gen patrol and the survivors were lucky to just get a few done. This is clearly for the killers benefit. Has anyone else noticed that even the once large maps that gave survivors a little breathing room and now shrunk down? All it seems to do is either make for quick matches or insanely long matches where everyone is hiding cause they can’t do gens
Sorry I am late to this thread. I had to run all the way across the Red Forest to get here.
-
The hatch is necessary because 1 Survivor alone cannot possibly hope to clear the gens.
That said, the hatch is ruined by Keys.
Keys need to be removed from the game. Not nerfed. REMOVED.
-
SpookNJukes.
I adore this man. Watching TTVs lose their collective minds over things is hilarious to me and shows just how bad entitled Survivor Mains. The footage speaks for itself. The PSN messages. The death threats. It's glorious.

It shows how F'ed society is when people can complain a lot about every aspect of the game as long as you dont have a disability, because that suddenly becomes about 'Special' treatment when you want EQUAL treatment.
It IS equal treatment.
Everyone uses the SAME mechanics.
By your logic asking people to use a mouse is ableist against people without fingers.
-
Slugging is high risk / high reward.
You are taking 25% of the team out of objective play, but forfeiting a potential hook state if they get picked up or have a self-recovery perk.
-
Yeah, I gotta agree with some of the other posters. This sounds like something that would just punish solos even harder while a good SWF can just call it out.
-
I came into this thread to defend Ghostface and turns out you were talking about Survivors.
-
I dropped from 4 to 5 with the reset, and then from 5 to 6 due to this stupid Emblem issue.
