Oh hello friend! We may match together one time, I'm also stuck at low mmr. I run the killer for minutes each game, do multiple gens and usually die on first hook as I'm left alone or my team just hid all game.
It's not so bad though, I seen this rare thing called a hillbilly! Didnt use his power much though, but it kept my team busy self caring through his sloppy lol

so people dont purposely bring the killer to purposely abuse a bug
I have yet to see a bug in any of them though, wasn't kill switches added so they could turn maps off not just offerings?
-
After my 5 years I have never seen such texts, like others are saying I'd assume insults.
Best not to use google translate and save yourself the hate lol
-
Its really not much of an event... you see like 1 special gen/hook and a few pumpkins (which is nice) but that's it, like you could easily load in 90% of matches and forget theres even an event on.
If not for the main menu or loading screen I'd forget I'm playing on Halloween
-
Like can you update this? Kinda off putting to buy cosmetics.
Like I dont need the pieces and I wont buy them without the sale but if they're on discount I'd get them just for supporting sake.
Just feels like a slap in the face for being a long time supporter tbh, I'm not rich and I cant afford alot but most spare money goes into this game... so maybe please let the discount apply even if I own 2/3 pieces
-
I just hate how you can no longer quick scope through tiny holes in structures etc. If you look there the survivor knows....
Maybe hes okay at casual level, but not so much for me, you lose distance, trick shots are predictable and when you're on a time frame to get a hit as a 110% it's not a great feeling.
I still dont get what was wrong with the old one tbh, we are balancing for "casuals" which really means bad players when people talk about that but are too polite and call it how it is.
If you cant loop, dont know tiles or know how to play around the killer then you are bad. Dont take offence you can get better and learn to verse different killers, but that shouldn't be the balance point and in result a weaker deathslinger who already wasnt that great...
-
@Raccoon said:
Actually surprised at the killer w/ no items/perks results
Hes a far better killer than survivor though so that's to be taken into consideration. Plus he plays at peak times when more chill people are on.
Interesting sure, but not that great data tbh and we already knew survivors are stronger so I'm not sure what the point of the video was lol

BHVR is taking the pinhead model and selling it as a NFT and if you know what an NFT is it makes sense why it's a bad thing to do
if you don't know what an NFT is the best way to explain it is buying something but not being the legit owner, the seller will always be the true owner of the original but will tell everyone that you own it, it's a very scummy way of selling something
Isnt that just like owning a copy of something? I still dont get how its affected me badly as a player

The range has been increased so it's quite good now.
Multifloor maps and killer powers with very quick recovery like huntress and trickster can make really good use out of it.
I dunno, those are already anti-loop so I'm not sure if its needed. Maybe I'll throw it on plague as she avoids the sprintburt on injure with base puke? Unless that dont trigger it? Meh probably wont use it, dont seem worth a hex still to me.
@Labrac said:
Blood Favor is okay, but using hexes now that Boons are a thing is even more riskier.
My hex RNG was awful anyway, always next to a gen in the open lol

An NFT is comparable to a piece of paper that says you own a particular image. However, the piece of paper isn't legally binding, and the amount of power required to print it was about as much as an entire household consumes in 2.5 days. So in short, it's a massive waste of resources for something that only holds value to other people who buy into the NFT market.
If that sounds like a really bizarre concept, you're not getting confused, you have a proper grasp of the situation. You understand, roughly, what an NFT is. The concept itself is just a really dumb idea.
So the anger is over it being costly? Affects players and the community by nothing? Just an expensive form or digitial currency?
@SlothGirly said:

pretty much this. They have no tangibility to the real world, and the only thing that gives them some sort of "value" are other people wanting to buy an NFT. If nobody wanted to buy the NFT, then they would hold no value. Unlike real world items that can hold value, despite not having any buyers.
The funniest part is, if you want an NFT, you can quite literally just right click and save the image. And you've achieved the same thing for free.
Well the only thing that gives anything is value is humanity. It's why you get phrases like "one mans junk, another mans treasure" etc. But I get what you mean.
Im still not 100% on it, seems abit pointless to do, just seems like a fancy form of a liscene for a design. Still not sure it warrants the mass anger though, millions of people waste money and energy on a daily basis

Hex: Blood Favor is pretty good right now actually, even after they changed it to activate only when a survivor is injured by either a strike or the killers power... or at least that's what I would be saying if every little turd and their Dwight wasn't suddenly interested finding "bones".
Sigh, they do something good with a few hexes, only to take away the reason to use them in the first place... this game....
@WishIcouldmain said:
This wasn’t a patch skewed in my opinion. Trapper and Plague received great buffs. Blood Favor now actually has potential. And three man key escapes are gone. And Trapper and Ghostface are no longer add-on dependent
Isnt blood favour the one that blocks pallets? Because I dont see the point in it tbh, people get a sprint burst and can outrun the small distance it covers plus it's a hex.. my hex RNG is rubbish to begin with lol, always next to a gen in the open
Sad no killer perks got buffed to be worthy, I guess it's nice trapper is abit better
-
Might reduce some hackers/cheaters though lol.
But doubt the devs would over look that, plus I believe just the chapter would be void on steam if so
-
During or after? Cant be both lol and it honestly confuses me.
Also if they have bad mmr and you're new that's a good match? Also bad mmr means they wouldn't be good at looping etc.
I will add usually during off peak times games can be harder, this is simply due to players that dont work etc. Have all day every day to play.
-
Well I'm naturally very good at the game, so versing a killer that is also good makes for more interesting chases.
Honestly my whole hope for mmr was it was going to be skill based so we could see what needs changes etc. But now we're based on escapes and kills which to me is the worst representation of skill, like I see really good survivors just dying to EGC on purpose to lose mmr.
I want games to be fun, interactive and somewhat challenging on either side. But no matter what role I play I should have a chance to win and feel like I'm doing well, sadly all it takes is good survivors to mess that up for most killers or even a map like the game as a basic attack killer or be matched with survivors not your skill against a good killer and it's a loss.
I want long, lengthy but challenging games
-
Wait are there good totem spots?
I dunno, any totem on a hill or in sight from a gen should just be deleted.
I wouldn't mind totems in loops as much if they was somewhat hidden, for example the father chapel jungle gyms can spawn a totem but they're hidden behind a junk pile unlike basic jungle gyms. They're still bad but better lol.
In all honesty I dont get why totems arent better hidden period. Would take no time to just move a bunch of spawns and add new random junk round the map for decorative purposes and to hide the totem

I appreciate any information, especially from a different region. Do you think EU servers are more competitive than US?
Sorry for the slow response, I was an idiot and forgot to press post lol.
Well it's a hard thing to say, for one people get upset and two it's hard to consistently test it, however I have played on the US server (no idea what the servers called, NA I think?) From before dedicated was a thing and in the odd occasion with a American friend.
I would personally say NA is more chill than EU, obviously bad and good are on both servers I just found both survivors and killers more chill on NA. This could just be due to me playing peak time for NA but off peak for EU.
I'd also say that platforms are different, so playstation,xbox, pc in that order tend to be more try hard and toxic. But this is more difficult to say due to limited new gen PS meaning they will be hit with lag etc. And pc is up the top because they can have alot of advantages put on or just straight up things that arent possible on console.
Just my experience though doesn't mean it's a fact, but the way I see it, as in average
PC=very sweaty, very toxic
Xbox=some sweaty, quite toxic
Playstation=some sweaty, more chill
NA=chill more often
-
Nurse, blight, pinhead probably for me
-
Worst thing is some games go on forever, like you physically have to DC for it to end....
But console players cant report them and the devs havent acknowledged or done anything about it so...
Honestly this game would be way better with another company, behaviour can be sweet but they got lucky with a gold mine and tbh seem to struggle in alot of aspects of the game

Thanks!! Always curious where and what others see!
Well if you want some more details I'll provide this.
EU, off peak time, likely high mmr (I'm very experienced as iv played at the top ranks since its release) Solo survivor, usually use DS,DH,WGLF, and whatever other perk I fancy, with a medkit (1/2 self heals)
I'm also a competitive player as in I'll always do my best, I just dont play in a toxic/selfish way. I know I could do swf and run more meta stuff but I believe survivor is easier, I'm usually happy to run whatever as long as DS is there to stop a tunnel lol.
Dunno if you cared for any of that info but it's there if you did :)

ofc it's easier in PC but that doesn't mean console can't
Okay and alot of console players can be toxic. I just said my experience with pc has been worse than other platforms at a far more consistent rate. And so many of those features are vastly more common on PC.
Dont get upset about it it's not like they will allow us to pick as alot of people would actually OPT out. I dont mind pc players, it's just a shame it's more common to verse someone with advantages or a bad experience.
Once again my opinion and experience, someone may not have the same experience

Where do you see these games? Because I see the opposite. Many streamers I have seen that main killer do quite well. As well as friends that play killer almost exclusively.
The games I play in... I dont tend to watch streamers as alot are fake or biased, and quite honestly with some of the content around it wouldn't surprise me if people lower their mmr of stream etc.
I'm just sharing my experience when I play survivor, then again I know I play at a high level so that could be why.
But many factors from time, region, map, killer and addons used can change alot of the outcome. Once again just my experience of killers not doing that great

I remember that @Pulsar had a forum post where they had crossplay off, but a PC hacker still got in their lobby. So it doesn't even work.
Probably due to BHVRs bad programming on how crossplay works, I mean people have hacked the report buttons and everything so clearly they arent capable of stopping most hackers like other companies do

You speak like if consoles couldn’t use all those with the right monitors, because they aint a PC exclusivity
Well niva filters are different to changing contrast on a tv etc. And no most things arent the same or possible on console especially as easy as PC is.
Dont act like all those features arent more common on a pc... sure maybe some console player stick a cheerio on their screen for a cross hair lol but all of these features are way easier, more common and drastic on a pc.

Not to speak on the matchmaking, cause that's always hit and miss for me, but my matchmaking times haven't changed - I'm in the UK, and when I play after around 7pm, I get instant killer queues...
It's more during the morning/afternoon for uk, I get fast ones at night but it's rare I can play at that time, sometimes I'm waiting like 10-20mins but that's on off peak times, just sucks lol
-
@SleepyWillo said:
I'm PC and in my years of playing this game have only came across less than 10 hackers...
I'm console and versed more than that and we haven't had crossplay for its whole duration lol. Admittedly it had gotten worse, but you could be lucky or maybe the time/server you play it's less common.
I do remember my first hacker, speed hack myers with tombstone. That mf was going like 400%movement speed lol
-
Meanwhile on xbox game pass we get games like DBD, EA games, Bethesda games and many more great titles lol.
But in a serious note you could just buy the game by default? I done that before I got my pass, the base game isnt that expensive either, sure you still gotta buy chapters but saves paying monthly for 1 game

Yes.
But think of it like this. SBMMR makes it more likely the Killer is going to go easier on you, because if the Killer just kills you in a 2 vs 1, it will make your next match easier but the Killer's match harder.
When I play Killer, I don't want to raise my MMR to make my next match harder for a lope-sided match. Then again, I'm one of the few Killers that will play extremely easy on a 3 vs 1 and will let the survivors go.
I mean the lower mmr you go the more people avoid gens etc. Lol I'd rather not go there plus I prefer versing decent killers with a good understanding of the game, I'm very experienced so I dont want a super easy game versing newer killers.
Its just annoying how a rage quitting child ruins my rank but not theres. I know I shouldn't care about rank, and honestly I dont massively I just want fun and balanced games not to verse weaker players.
Besides 2/3v1 is never usually fun
-
No idea, kills and escape will always be a garbage system. Only tim I see killers actually get multiple kills is due to a DC or because everyone is messing around end game.
Most killers I see are lucky to get 4-6hooks (excluding games with dc and people who give up at game start)
-
So you're saying the people that quit dont lose mmr but when I'm stuck in a 2v1 I will lose mmr?
Honestly not surprised, would be too much effort in the devs eyes. Took 2 years for SBMM to be based of kills and escapes lol
-
Depends on killer and map/tile spawn.
Honestly if I go down its usually because iv been greedy or other players have used the pallets etc. I would say most chases I put up are punishing for the killer providing my team are doing gens. But sometimes I'll do an insane chase and 1 gen will pop like.... oh, okay then lol
-
I'm on xbox, I'd do the same but I'm worried about killer queues. Let me know how queues are and what sorta skill you are and the time you play?
If I could avoid just pc and keep playstation I would. It's a shame but sadly there are pc players that ruin alot of crossplay games... there are some lovely pc players but considering theres alot of toxic players, hackers, people using things to aid gameplay like crosshairs, filters, stretch res etc. It just puts me off
-

It's already been answered.
A DC does not count as a win or a loss for either the survivor or the killer.
@vacaman said:
They said DC's and escaping through hatch count as if this game didn't happen. For example if a game 3 people dc and one escapes through hatch the nobody gets any progress, even the killer, all +0
So if a teammate quita and I die/escape then I dont lose/gain mmr? Sorry just trying to understand and not misread something

I dont think its possible, or desirable for the game to be programmed to spawn chain portals in Chain Hunt as specific to where the Survivor is facing.
Player behavior is unpredictable, and facing can be changed instantaneously.
Worse, they arent even connected, as as a Survivor can be moving in one direction, though their facing is another, such as looking backwards while running forwards.
Player facing is irrelevant to the Chain Hunt mechanic, all that matters, is that the Chain Hunt mechanic applies the chains it should so as to facilitate the amount of delays and checks to slow them down.
So in front or to the side.. theres real no reason to try get technical atm the chains are meant to spawn in the open so they dont break instantly.
Also just programming it to spawn in the direction the survivors are running isnt that bad. Once again though breaking your own chains is stupid and alot of the time the reason you dint get hits
-

Billy, Nurse, Pyramid Head were all nerfed because their strong points stood an actual chance against SWF Comp Teams. Now Spirit and Wraith is heading to that direction where in the highest of highest gameplay they were struggling to get 2Ks.
Can we please have a Killer that can stand a chance in the highest of Games untouched? I know BHVR is looking at Pinhead with that Iri fang, Hoarder and Fraklin's
Actually the devs said they're not looking at hoarder or Franklin's on him. The iri fang probably, just add a range requirement.
I'm all for good and strong killers, nearly all need a buff and things like base regression and kicks should be changed.
But the fang is abit strong, need a slight change/requirement. But pinhead shouldn't break his chains and they should always spawn infront/side of where the survivors facing

Am i the only one who thinks it would be straight up worse as a non hex in most scenarios.
If you take thrill and devour now it means when they cleanse a hex there's a 50/50 that you still have devour. If it wasen't a hex then your devour would be gone with the first cleanse 100% of the time.
Isn't the dummy hex it puts out one of the good things of this perk
Not really, you might as well use undying. You could have a great placement for thrill but a bad one for devour, all thrill does now is make it take longer and if they get thrill you lose its effects. You could just use undying, and have your hex protected 100% of the time
-
@Pukenplag said:
Undying, on its own, gives you aura reading 4m around dull totems.
"Game changing" but nah undying protects a hex, so if hexs was actually powerful then I think it's fair. Atm hexs are ruined by how weak they are or that the spawns are so bad having a strong hex is pointless. Like why are totems right next to gens or in the open
-
@MojoTheFabulous said:
Never thought about this but now that you mention it I would like to see how it plays out as a non-hex perk.
Well they wont ever make it a non hex due to them wanting hag to have all hex perks, and they seem pretty set on that. But I definitely feel it needs something, even the notification or activating killer instinct when a survivor interacts with any totem would be far better. Atm while thana is a smaller % its permanent and also affects gens
-
Side note: remember the devs said hexs are something that is hugely game changing... is this perk that?
-
@ermsy said:
Just playing devil's advocate, if you can run the killer round 5 gens then you'll probably end up surviving more games than dying. It's not like your scenario is going to play out every game.
The opposite is probably true for those that can only hold M1 on gens, they get chased by a higher MMR killer and die more often.
It's rare you run the killer for that long, and even if you do you're like to be caught at some point by which time the killer will remain at the hook, if your team dont want to they will just leave. Most games I die on my first/second hook while some people are far less hook states but fact is Escaping is more important now.
@Kurri said:
I don't see what you are complaining about? With MMR being hidden, I want my MMR as low as possible for stress free games.
No game is stressful as survivor unless you're matched with a bad team that do nothing. I'm not going to be one of those high skilled players taking advantage of lesser skilled players.
I'm actually skilled and want a real and interesting chase, theres no point versing newer players when I'm a vet. I'm sure there will be plenty of skilled players lowering their mmr to be toxic towards worse players. I dont find enjoyment in that sorry
-
@Firellius said:
I mean, you said it yourself: "I was playing a weak killer in a mmr way too high"
They probably just smurfed their way down because the new system only counts death or survival and doesn't incorporate anything else. They would've pipped under the old system, but they lose MMR under the new system, so they just go down further and further and get easier and easier games. All they have to do is suicide at the end.
Yeah that's what I'm assuming
@Aven_Fallen said:
Killers complaining about Survivors never giving Kills, now they give Kills and Killers complain...
But eh, have not experienced that. Maybe it will increase for a short amount of time because of the information of the Dev-Stream, but I dont think it will be a long lasting trend.
Well I dont want pity kills, I want the ability to get said kills as long as I play well (not perfect).
And maybe, like I said it hasn't been every game and its usually just the odd player but iv never had this before that stream.
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
I also had a team do this to me but I thought they were just giving me sympathy kills. It could have just been content creators deMMRing for their juking videos. Otherwise I really don't see the point of deranking for easier games when you are already very good.
Well people do like to have easier games to basically bully, it's hard to say if that's the intent but if you can play that well not many killers would be a threat anyway, only one was macro clicking. I'm honestly not sure, I hate how mmr isnt off skill

Is he the worst? No
is his power good? Yes kinda
Is he high level? No, wastes too much time reloading especially if you try to use both bottles, I enjoy clown as I can use his ability to help down survivors but god damn he dont need to share ammo for the bottles, that one change would be massive

You dont have to be part of the discussion. It's that simple, people are allowed to Express and discuss things. I stated what stats I'd like to see and I asked the community how they felt about the %.
"So I'm begging" dont comment on a discussion if you dont wish to actually join in, if you do say what sorta % youd like to see.

I mean since killers share mmr, my weak killers are near things like nurse. So I dont even need to let them go, they can just bully me and escape through efficiency.
No idea how a killer like legion is meant to compete at a nurse level lol.
-
Actually the reason people dont use them so much is they share ammo capacity.
The yellow bottles are great, I use them but honestly you have to reserve it. You cannot afford to have 0 bottles when you find a survivor, hence why at most you use 1 yellow and 3 pink.
Make them have separate ammo and everyone would use them. If they had separate ammo clown would actually be really good

But you can't come to any of the conclusions that the devs have bevause you have about 3 stats as opposed to all of the ones they use, from match length to how many hatch escapes, to whatever else they use (I don't actually know either).
Using any of the stats the devs give us for any conclusion other than the fact you can't come to a conclusion is, like... You just can't.
Oh I know, but wraith really wasn't "a little OP" as they said, the basekit change hurts his lunge so he doesnt get hits and falls into the break pallet simulator instead of more gameplay. (I made another post about this a few days ago, cant remember if you comment on it)
I just wish they would drop this whole kills/escape stuff even with mmr, certainly isnt SKILL BASED match making
