I've always seen the reason that it builds up so much is to give the players a chance to cool off.
For sure, we don't want games ruined by players leaving mid match - when you ready up in the lobby you are committing to playing that match.
Is BHVR gonna do anything about people who disconnects during loading or because they got a map they dont like?
Some players do it, even brag about it on Twitter and I for sure do not approve of waiting in Q for long and then having my game aborted because someone was unhappy.

why not just make DS basekit and automatically happen, and reward killers for spreading out hooks, I was think a +5 percent bonus to gen kicking regression for each unique survivor hooked as well as adding back BBQ's bp bonus as a basekit mechanic, that would be more than enough to get me to start playing nice again.
How about Survivors just learn to not get found? if you decide to heal under the hook you made your choice and you deal with it.
Dont punish the Killer because you are unhappy with your choices.

This is a serious matter. Hag is basically powerless right now due to Reassurance preventing survivors from trading hooks early in the game, which is where Hag gets her pressure from, and the 10 sec BT, as it renders Hag useless for 10 seconds. Because the unhooked survivor has speed boost and endurance, they can trigger all of the traps in the area with no resistance from the killer.
When you combine that with off the record and COH, she's effectively useless in any lobby. Hag isn't a chase killer, and it's impossible to catch any survivor in a short period of time. The only advantage Hag has is she can be anywhere else as long as a survivor triggers her traps. But she can't pressure any survivors to do anything without triggering her traps first. She can't waste too much time chasing healthy survivors either.
You are supposed to place traps so you can get people while you chase.

"It has to be a skill perk"
Killer perks reap wildly strong benefits without skill. Playing normally without anything specifically different will normally cause them to activate.
Dead Hard should be reverted just like killers got an even more tremendously oppressive meta perk back.
"But what about Killers" isnt a valid argument Sluzzy, they are two completely different classes to play.
Perhaps there should be activatable killer perks, but their power sorta serve that function.
-
I tunneled Ada Wong, when she ran into my eyesight when I was trying to kill Rebecca. Sorry Ada, nothing personell.
-
No, people are hitting those Dead Hards no problem in my games.
The problem isnt the perk duration was too small. its the user who used it too early.
It has to be a skill perk. If you make it easier its gonna be meta again and be a cancerous bulb on Killer's fun.
-
no skillful loops
What is a skillful loop? and why should the rest of the community agree?
the pallets are all either too safe or too unsafe.
How are the loops too safe/unsafe? and why does that matter?
Totems are impossible to find
Take some time to learn the layout of the totem spawn locations or pick a perk that teaches you their locations then.
many killer powers barely work on the map
There is a bug section on the forum for reporting Powers that down work. Unless your problem is that you can see long distance.
if so, Welcome to the wonderful world of indoor Murder.
it has horrible flow
If the match isn't progressing at your desired speed, take perks that find survivors or gens. You and your players can control the flow.

Me who just bought the Hunk skin...

I dont think a stealth ranged killer will ever be a good idea.
However I would like BHVR to give us some feedback on Deathslinger.
The Killer data from January 2022 says he is weaker than Clown, so is Deathslinger fine?
After his nerf I have found him extremely tedious to play as and I have no clue how to make him work for me.
-
@Veinslay said:
They need to make Deathslinger's terror radius bigger!
I rarely play him now cause hes so weak and you want him even weaker? 😫

You are seeing survivors have this perk. No point for camping. Go and pressure on gens.
Camping needs to die, i am okey for that
idk Im doubting it. what if the killer camps because they are mad?
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Killer is seeing this perk activated, hooked survivor is turning white. Survivor needs to be closer to hook for activate it (6m) and this distance is good enough to see them. So you have option to chase another.
What was word? "Adapt", hell yeah. Camper killers need to adapt. Easy.
What if a Survivor sneaks in and Activates it and the Camper has no clue where they are and when they look they cant find them?

This is the same as saying just bait out the DH.
No it isnt.
-
How is it not fair?
The Killer is supposed to have some control over the match and besides your perks are not supposed to work in any/all situations.
Its not the Killer's fault that your teammates don't care to defend you from the Killer.

In a game that has introduced a kpop killer im going to go ahead and say the slasher theme is long past dead
What's the problem? He slashes just as well as his American Slasher friends.

Wanting to fix something and then fixing it is two different things. As of right now, iron will isn't worth running on most survivors.
Then run it on a Survivor that isnt loud.
-
@Biscuits said:

The problem is that it isn't universally useful, you kind of have to also understand which survivors are louder than others. On the already quiet survivors it is a decent perk, but on the loud ones it is kind of pointless.
But bHVR has said they are wanting to fix that, So take a seat.
-
Survivors run to you to be hooked as Killer, damn idd wish.
-
What if Camping and Tunneling was not a problem, but a feature.
Think about if if you remove a Killer's ability to pick their targets and protect their goal, then the Slasher/Horror Theme falls apart.
I think bHVR knows that Killers need to be an unpleasant threat to Survivors for the game to function.

I have placed a Ticket with support but this isn't a single issue case.. I'm not the only person who has been robbed.. The discussion needs to be had so maybe the issue is properly addressed.. to say, "you could be lying" is flat out ignorant... i'm sorry but I'm not.
idk if the best response to skepticism is just to claim the skeptic is ignorant. But good luck with that.
-
What do you want us to do about it? like you could be lying too. Why dont you take this up with support?
-
Ill be honest, you got me.
-
Why are his SoloQ teammates making super bad decisions?
-
less looping is now possible cause bhvr changed the regular speed looping happens at.
-
How big a problem? I have not seen a pro Nurse or Blight in ages.
-
I like the new tiles, they are not as safe as the ones which were in there

DH was not busted. Because a killer streamer said so and the community believed it.
Killers still won a majority of games against survivors that had DH.
Who was that Streamer?
-
cough Circle of Healing, its not the Devs fault you dont use it. Its great.
-
Well if you know how hacking in games work, how its prevented and how its re-enabled all the time cause people are willing to pay to cheat.
then you would understand.
-
Dino Crisis
MCote think about it.
-
DS protects you from tunneling once, I believe you should work with your team-mates to combat tunneling.
Like how did the Killer happen to be so close to the unhooked Survivor?
-
@Simfeliz The other features have been way longer overdue, but they are not as important to the integrity of the game as SoloQ quality.
-
@jesterkind probably true, but damn, those features seem long long overdue to be brought up to SWF quality. I recall its about 10% better.
-
You make this sound like bHVR's stats had no say in DH getting nerfed.
-
Time to contact support, Forum cant help you with that.

Then why are survivors punished for dropping pallets against nurse? Or punished for using healing builds against plague? Or punished for spreading out against twins?
Different playstyle exist and having perks to improve and counteract them is literally the whole point of perks. In your logic gen regression or anti healing perks shouldn’t exist either since those counter strategies of gen rushing and constant healing
What do you mean, playing Plague, Nurse and Twins is legitimate too.
As a Survivor you know these Killers exist.

This was not my question.
But the way you worded it sounds like the Survivors have control over what the Killer is doing. I mean, I can make myself present if I unhook someone so that the Killer has the option to go after me. But if they want to tunnel, there is nothing I can do.
Do you know what bodyblocking is? Happens quite alot on my mmr level.

"Why was the Killer not successfully occupied?"
So, Survivors can now decide what the Killer does? If a Killer decides to leave chase to go for the unhooked person, should the Survivors try to mentally drag him back into the chase?
Well if I see two Survivors, one healthy running to a bs loop tile and the unhooked survivor, still wounded running away.
Do you really wonder, Why? Really?
-
@Phasmamain said:
5 seconds was fine tbh. You should be punished for tunnelling if someone brings a perk to counter it just like survivors are punished in endgame if an endgame perk is brought
Nobody should be punished for playing the game, tunneling is a legitimate strategy, perks are not designed to help you with everything.
One might ask, Why was the Killer not successfully occupied? Why were you unhooked within reach of the Killer?
Old DS was too much a get out of jail free card, perks are not meant to ensure your survival, your teammates are.

5 seconds is nothing and super easy to wait out.
-DS still requires the skill check to be hit, only works once before the endgame and gives you basically zero distance due to the stun nerf
-Off the Record doesn't help that much against tunneling, especially considering the reduced attack cooldown and survivor post hit sprint burst.
BHVR should just revert the DS stun duration back to 5 seconds honestly.
Nah, but unhooking when the Killer is occupied is still way better than those perks.
But sometimes team-members are not good.
-
No matter how you dress them up, halting hook progression and basic free aura reading (outside perks) is still an idea the developer have tried and discarded. Why would it work better this time with showing short flashes? There is very little reason why given in your post.
-
- You have 5 seconds and Endurance/Speed on unhook by default.
- DS allows you to get picked up and dropped for free.
- Off the Record gives you no grunts, no aura for 80 seconds.
But you want more?
-
I dont get it either, i wish BHVR would explain it deeper.

We cant make them do it. We are complaing about it since years and they havent done a single thing for solo Q yet. What makes you believe they will do it now
they may or may not do it
-
@Raccoon said:
If I recall correctly, the original plan was to buff Solo to SWF levels, and then buff killers afterwards.
Was the kill rate truly so low that this plan was abandoned, altogether?
Its not abandoned, they have just other stuff to do.
I think we should make BHVR prioritize those Solo Q improvements faster than for example streamer mode and archive rework.
-
Yes there is a way, make Stranger things come back to dbd.
