yes that's the way it should be, unless I am understanding it completely wrong as well - which I don't think I am. Will definitely give this major attention today.
Thanks Mandy, we love you. make sure you stay hydrated today.

I'm double checking on the system side of this today to see if there's any issue...that wasn't what I was replying to though, my point was that the incentive shouldn't be split as that defeats the purpose of the incentive. I am seeing reports of longer matchmaking times, and will get this looked into today (still early in Mtl).
Ah, this is good, I was thinking something was not as it should be.
When i waited 10min yesterday for a 100% Survivor match I was really confused.
The way I understood the system was, that if there is a need for a specific role, you would incentivize that role and then fast q time too.

That's not quite how an incentive should work. The incentive needs to be the side that is required at that particular time - so it shouldn't be split across both roles.
But why do Survivor side then take so long, if there is need for players, then why dont I get a trial asap when I finally pick Survivor`?
Surely if there is a lack of Survivors, then there would be loads of trials waiting to be filled up?
-
Its just strange, you would think the state of play would mean they need more Killers?
-
I need to relearn survivor, im bad without Spine Chill.
-
Killer is pretty fun atm, nobody is cheating me out of hits with DH. Why would I camp?
-
I am also having the same issue, i have to wait 10min for a Survivor game for 100% but as Killer im insta Q'ed
-
The red background are for players who played the bloodpoint system to its limit, We sacrificed millions of bloodpoints, many items/offerings to get to P3.
-
Sadako's balance patch has been delayed due to the next Midchapter.
-
Then I would REMAKE Dead by Daylight.
-
Hey, thats pretty smart change.

Maybe.
Doesn't mean we can't have a better matchmaker
We could, but its not a priority atm. The game needs to be alot more less stale before dbd can even get numbers of players worth balancing properly in mmr.
-
I would play Artist, but shes way hard to play and you barely get any reward. If you want more people to play her, tell bhvr to make her easier to play.
-
Streamer mode with a name scrambler option would be pleasant. Sure.

Overwatch has treated me FAR better matchmaking wise than DBD.
How many play Overwatch? Google says 760 000 players. Switch the playerbase and I bet you would have a similar experience.

How does this help survivors, and especially random survivors though. Solo Q (absolute bottom tier of this game, the dumpster role) gets nerfed even more in this patch.
Killers underperforming and getting buffed, does not help Survivors, in fact its supposed to do the opposite of helping Survivors.
-
Im waiting to get all my fav perks on him come tuesday.
-
-
Can anyone here even demonstrate this problem? Do you have a video?
-
This has nothing to do with the Match-making, Survivors just get really good at those tiles.
There are some changes coming in next patch on Tuesday (we believe) that might help you. @JordanMalicious
During our 6th Anniversary Broadcast, we announced a new progression system and a meta-shifting perk overhaul. We’re thrilled to say that both initiatives will headline the upcoming Mid-Chapter. From the onset, it was important for us to release these changes as a package. Our objective is to shake up the current meta,… -
While I think many Killers need improvements, I am uncertain if bHVR wishes for Survivors to get ambushed 5 seconds into a match.
I certainly would like a chance to hide first, not really the Killer QOLs that I am looking for.
-
You can have multiple accounts, but ban evading will get all your accounts banned.
-
Because its a perk that tells you if the Killer is coming, no-one reasonable is walking backwards to counter it.
-
As a Killer Main, who always got their Ruin cleansed before I saw any value from it. So I never used it.
Why would I use it now that its even weaker and shuts off after a Survivor is hooked.
-
Trickster was as weak as Nurse on all Skill levels in January. But unlike Nurse, Trickster is not known for just killing everything and everyone.
The problem is, on Low MMR where Survivors run in straight lines Trickster is TOO STRONG. But on Medium to High MMR Survivors learn to dodge and he falls flat on his face. It can be a real struggle to get control over the game like other Killers can do easily.
- Main Event is never there when I need it, or its there when I dont need it.
- Trickster is incredibly slow and is easily looped. Power is useless on high walls.
- Trickster is insanely slow when traversing big maps.
- Trickster has a Lullaby, they always know when he's coming.
- Knives are easily dodged by Survivors.
- Having to reload all the time. Means scratch marks run cold.
- Addons are tiny increases, boring and not at all fun and unique.
The worst part about Trickster is that there are potential for a good and fun Killer, but we have to wait for bHVR to make the appropriate changes so it can actually not be a struggle against time and effort to enjoy him. Like come on, Is Trickster really in a GOOD spot?
-
I like any Killer that laughs, Doctor, Clown, Deathslinger, Trickster

I currently have everyone p3 so I am ready for the update to get the prestige backgrounds, but what about characters introduced after that? will they stay blank? It will look ugly if some have the prestige background and others dont...
you can turn it all off in settings
-
idk how much credibility this interpretation has. My guess is that BHVR can safely reduce the time cause the amount of times that DS is used, Survivors get away.
-
User name Dhampir, suggests a vampire killer. It checks out.
-
We will see, depends if playing Killer is still a chore.

I’ve been maining Artist since I returned to DBD from my 2-month break and I really enjoy her. I used to play her a lot when she came out but then got bored of her after some time. I got back into her and I gotta say I really forgot how fun and rewarding she is. If you haven’t tried her I definitely recommend giving her a shot.
How do you play her? do you have a guide? can you show?

Noed gives the survivors a second objective and i feel thats why it gets the hate it does. It can easily be countered by doing totems so i dont understand why u wanna nerf it more. If u want to do the gens in 5 mins and immediately go to the exit gates to escape then u should have something worry about.
Cause Survivors dont want to spend time cleansing totems, they wanna do gens, eat chip, tbag at exit gates and lie.

I don't really understand your question? Why are killers getting buffed despite being stronger? Because they base wins off 2 kill baseline? Which proves nothing as most matches tend to favour one side or another? I mean you could ask why did they try to further prevent tunnelling, despite tunnelling being weaker now then it was 4 years ago? Its the same reason, because of 6 year old game design that people have become more efficient in.
I see, its weird when you say Killers are stronger than ever, when they are not strong enough. But we are on the same page.

do you also happen to know what happened with perk-nodes in these bloodwebs that were already given to the character via the new system?
My guess is all active bloodwebs are reset.
-
perks with downsides always sound bad on paper.

Camping is usually a result of the killer believing they don't have a way to properly pressure the map on their own. Both shown maps are ones that are survivor-sided, they're both very large maps and a lot of killers don't got good mobility.
True that looks like Rancid Abattoir and Mother's Dwelling. Those buildings are so not fun to loop.
-
@Icaurs If Killers are the strongest they have ever been, Why are Survivor Flee time when hurt getting reduced, why are Killer successful attack cooldown getting reduced, Why are pallet breaking speed also reduced, Why have bhvr said Killers are not as threatening as intended?
Seems weird to buff Killers when they are 'stronger than they have ever been'?
-
Ill tell you why this is good game design, cause its a game that gives the Killer a choice on how to be a murderer.
-
@BubbleBuster said:
extremely abusable by survivors
IMO it should be:
- revving your chainsaw near a hooked survivor increases overheat an insane amount
just so if people play around it and bait you into revving you get overheated and punished. Would help against bad Bubbas camping but good ones would camps just as well.
Also why is Bubba allowed to use his ability without a penalty like other killers?
Trapper can't place traps.
Artist can't place birds.
Twins can't swap.
So imo he should get someone punished as well without taking his ability away.
Trapper can though, just not under the hook.
Imo, Killers who cant use their Power to defend the Hook always suck to play cause you always run around, not knowing why your power never does whats its supposed to do. Twins however is a basket case however.
-
This user is wrong, keep the red spillage.
-
I am sorry for your loss, but .. I didn't like it.
-
Killer is only fun if I can get lots of Interactions with Survivors, It can be fun if they want to play, but if they just want to do gens and run away its boring.
-
Why is this forum Scott Jund Subscription feed?
-
Your third point has nothing to do with the Grind.
To your first point, there is no catchup, you can play the game without your crutch perks. I dont use old Dead Hard for instance and im fine.
Second point, You are unhappy unless you play the game in the best of circumstances. Tell us why that is bHVR's fault again?
4th point. yes the 50 000 bps for prestige is bad, stop that bhvr.
-
Shared Suffering sounds like a perk that invites the Obsession to go Self-care in a corner.
Evasion is probably the worst thing I have seen on this forum. A chase that would last more than 13 seconds, has the potential to last even longer. And I can get the pleasure of having 4 Survivors with this? No thanks. At least Lithe, Sprint Burst and new DH has the courtesy to be used early. But a perk the slowly creeps up on the Killer over 52 sec and then gives them the middle-finger. Yikes.
-
Also, have you guys considered some data gathering of Killer testimonies regarding camping?
Like I know you guys are probably not the most scientific, but worth the energy you put into arguing these 'fixes to camping' you would have some pretty compelling data gathering about Camping, Why a Killer sees that as their best option? etc. Just a thought.
-
Whatever solution you guys come up with,
It better not restrict the agency of the Killer to protect the Hook from survivors who come to unhook the second he hooked.
-
idk maybe its something to do with a Good Nurse isnt fun to play against.
for me, its that Nurse isnt fun to play as.
