I prefer being able to acquire digital goods with no limits on supply and therefore no reason to not have constant access to them whenever I want to access them, yes.
Well I prefer Christmas one day a year.

I completely understand that...and yes, we did not want players to expect them to be released for iri shards at the end of December and then become disappointed, whilst I'm not bringing good news, it's something we did want to address as quickly as possible.
Just want to make sure, his story does not dominate the narrative in your decision making on this, Im perfectly fine with seasonal cosmetics and some things being auric cells only.

And why is that a benefit? Because people won't be using these cosmetics exclusively during the winter seasons, and people will still have access to the older seasonal cosmetics, so why is it suddenly a benefit?
Well so things are divided and people can look forward to something. perhaps you prefer Christmas 365 days a year?

I can literally go onto google and get outfits for summer, winter, halloween, spring, etc. at any time.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S0R2NM5OSMMM/image.png
Moreover, I could walk into my local Primark or H&M or any clothing store, really, and still find outfits for those seasons. It's the exact same with things like tinsel, pumpkins, Christmas crackers, eggnog, etc.- through the joys of online shopping, I can purchase them any time, not just during Christmas, or halloween, or Easter, provided there is still some supply left.
Finally, with physicals stores you have to factor in supplies, and therefore the opportunity cost. Would those outfits sell particularly well in comparison to the more seasonally oriented ones? No, so much less are produced because it wouldn't be profitable because there's far less demand. You can still get them, but there's just less of them.
None of this is applicable to digital goods. The supply is infinite and therefore can always meet the demand, unless you artificially restrict it (such as through time-gated cosmetics). There is a world of difference between a physical store selling physical goods vs a virtual store selling virtual goods. Just because the act of buying hasn't changed doesn't mean the act of supplying has changed. It costs BHVR nothing to keep these outfits in the store. They don't take up space for newer stock, and there's no reason to time gate them at all outside of just plain greed.
But anyway, you've avoided my question.
What good does time limiting these cosmetics have towards the community?
What good does time limiting these cosmetics have towards the community?
Seasonality. Its the best part of it. Its the only thing you gonna get.

It's not okay, so let's try and convince more people to stop buying time-limited skins instead of having the "Yeah I don't like this but I'll but it anyway" mentality.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284411#Comment_3284411
If you don't like it, then vote with your wallet, that's pretty much all you can do in cases like this.
Reminding BHVR (and the community) of the anti-consumer tactics they're employing every time they do is another very good option (in addition to voting with your wallet, of course)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284492#Comment_3284492
There's a huge difference between physical goods and digital ones, comparing them makes little to no sense.
And even if you do compare them, you ARE able to buy Christmas outfits in June.
The act of buying from a physical store and a digital store is the same action for me, the act of buying does not change, so the comparison is spot on.
I cant buy Christmas outfits at my stores in June. Is that now fear of missing out? I don't think so.

Nothing. But why, after 6 years, suddenly change up your view on seasonals from year round (previous Christmas + Blighted skins) to time limited? And what's right with time-gated cosmetics? What do we, as players, stand to gain from this movement?
Are you mad Stores dont sell Christmas outfits in June?
Isnt it just a thing people do?
Are we having this argument again?

idk whats wrong with seasonal cosmetics

cause that would DESTROY anyone in the low MMR end of our community, right?

Yeah but it kind of makes shattered hope redundant... So it is not too bad of an idea to make a rework.
Not at all, having two anti boon killer perks is a good thing.
-
This is a good idea, make it its own perk, screw the rework of Shattered Hope. You got a great perk idea right there.

Amm... Right now testing the Knight with bots...
I've no idea what are you talking about, I don't see any delays.
You mean "tapping" his power at loops?
Read the instructions again, Click once for Ghost Orb, click again for summon. But now there is a 0.5 delay, where before there was none.
As you can read we use those really fast after each other.

I think you need to clarify where they exactly added 0.5 sec. Because I personally didn't noticed a thing.
we did in this bug report:
@Emeal said:
PC, since the newest Bug fix patch.
It didn't used to be like this but now when you need a Guard as The Knight there is now a 0.5 second delay before the Guard can be actually placed, this is extremely annoying already in situations where I need a guard fast and I now have to spam click place guard as ghost orb while I wait for the delay. its EXTREMELY ANNOYING.
To reproduce:
- Right click - Activate the Guard Summon mode
- Right click - to Summon Guard as fast as before Patch 6.4.1 - YOU CANT.
How often does this occur:
6 times or more at least every match right now as Knight, its really obnoxious.

I tested play with your food again but whenever my guard injures a survivor, I lose a stack. Am I doing it wrong?
Yeah that works with Forced Penance although this was more focused on the guard so if people wanted to use this solely on his power then it's pretty much pointless.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3282827#Comment_3282827
Why? You think it's unnecessary?
yup
-
Yup, I just tried and tested it. There is a noticeable delay when you put down a Guard and until it can be activated.
Where you before only needed to press once and then press again, you now have to spam click to get the most out of the new Guard Delay.
We need to move this thread to Bug Reports.
EDIT: I did it.

Just because a robot is able beat a Killer fairly well, does not mean the Killer needs buff.
Surely Legion performs fine atm?

suggestion: Delete all the ones that says no.

Ofc it should, I would love to pick the creatives in bHVR mind one day on why the Creative Direction is the way it is.
I love the truth about dbd that its a diabolical Entity that scoops people who sad places to torture them forever.
But I wish the game hid that fact more, The Devs are a lil TOO happy about the games story.
I wish they would have kept the illusion of 'I just woke up in this weird place and now a big man is after me'
That and yes a story mode would be swell.
-
Probably, but I never do anyway.
-
@pizzavessel15 Bugs stay in the game if ways of replicating them cannot be found and thus figuring out what causes them wont be discovered.
-
some where in-between 2K and a 3K.
This gives us two good things:
- Survivors felt they escaped a Killer that could have had them.
- a Killer who feel like they managed to do something in the match.
Its an overall satisfying match for reasonable people, everyone had fun. So bHVR is smart for looking at 60% ish Kill rates.
-
Old Dead Hard was also a lot better, current DH applies Endurance.
which means you cant use DH if you suffer from Exhausted or Deep wound.
I still hate Dead Hard with a passion, but I have to admit its better.

If only Grim Embrace worked twice in a match. Hohoho Meg is gonna get it.

Because the fun part of the game is the chase, not your character being killed.
The best feeling is when it is like you are in your opponents head and you read their every move and predict accurately, along with fakes, jukes and tricks to cause your opponent to make a mistake.
Knight denies you all of those, there is no mind game, it is simply hold W to evade
sounds like a skill issue then.

Today i was matched against a prestige 100 spirit with 5700h in glenvale with strong addons.
All my team playtime combined did not sum to 2000h. Needless to say she went full sweat and killed us all with 0 gens repaired.
Matches like this really frustrates me, because at the time i was not even mad at the killer or my teammates or myself. I was honestly out of words at how horrendous the matchmaking was to have put 4 mid-low skill level survivors against a clearly Comp high skilled killer who was obviously going to steamroll us effortlesly.
Just checking, you DO know matchmaking does not count in playtime?
Like if your combined matchmaking has reached such Spirits, congratz?

I’ve ran into multiple games where one knife ends up counting as multiple. So a trickster will land one knife but it registers as two, three, or even four. In turn this bug is downing survivors quicker than he’s supposed to. With sometimes only having to land 4 knives to injure or down. I’ve ran into this countless amount of times whenever I go against him as of recent. It’s not the add ons either. None of the tricksters I was going against used add ons which affected how knives worked
Well you better record it and submit it on the bug section then
-
People say this all the time. "Enjoyable to go against"
I don't get it, they are trying to kill you, how is this enjoyable? Is it supposed to be enjoyable? I dont think so.

Yes to some degree, but the OP is talking about nerfing SWF, the changes Peanits is talking about is buffing Soloq with information icons which will also buff SWF. That isn't what the OP is asking for lol.
But its the direction bHVR is taking the game, so its relevant even tho unwanted by OP.
-
If they changed it to kills then a killer would use those strategies which survivors hate to get what they want. Tunnel and Camp.

Maybe they are in the future, all I'm saying is you claimed SWF changes are on the way because of Peanits' post, but his post is talking about Soloq buffs, not SWF changes.
Doesn't mean SWF changes won't be coming, I'm just pointing out your post wasn't really relevant to the OP.
Sorry for being argumentative.
those soloq buffs will also affect swf friend.

Being wrong is being wrong.
Changes to Soloq is not the same as changes to SWF as you claimed in your post.
Accept you were wrong and move on.
I was not wrong.
Changes are coming, get over it.

Did you even read Peanits post? He's talking about buffs to Soloq. That has literally nothing to do with SWF 🙄
change is change.
-
Hubris only works if Survivors keep trying to pallet stun the killer.
Throw the pallet sooner.
When I run it Survivors figure it out and stop stunning me, Why would that require a nerf?
-
Please use paragraphs when you write.
Also changes for SWF is being worked on, Peanits says so right here.
Im personally just gonna kick back and wait for this one.
-
I have been disappointed in alot of killers, a few they fixed up to be okay.
Knight is better than most disappointing killers.

Every game? Lol, I don't know which game you play, but trust me, not every game. With my swf, at least 3 escaped every game, I say 3 because we are a 3 people swf so you know, the random is noob or strong. One of my friends is noob, really, he can't do a gen without missing at least 2/3 skill check, and in chase bro it's disgusting, really. And we still managed to escape in 3 or 4. If this game isn't noob friendly, why he managed to escape and he didn't died? Because he used a genrush build, prove thyself, help genrush. And in the end he managed everytime to get out. Do you understand what I mean? Also if he is noob ok 2 out of 3 are strong (me and my other friend) but he is disgustingly noob, he doesn't deserve to escape and in the end he manage every time to escape with us. It doesn't matter what is your skill level, if you manage to genrush you win. Easy, also if you can't keep the killer in chase. Before this, if someone didn't know how to chase a killer he died, he could've try to genrush but he die in the end, now also if you last 20 seconds the other survs manage to do gens. I remember a match in particular with the spirit, like 15 seconds to the first gen, I didn't find a surv yet and they managed to do a gen in 15 seconds. I still won that game, but because I played super sweaty, tunnel and camp all the game. Before was unnecessary tunnel and camp, I would love to see dbd in 2019 condition, when wasn't this frustrating and unbalanced
We must be a completely different mmr

That's not what i was doing actually.
I made this poll to see if BHVR are doing what people actually want them to by releasing new killers every 3 months, seems like it is not, but it wouldn't matter anyways cause it is better economically for them to release as much DLC as possible.
But you believe it yourself tho.
-
@illNicola said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3280408#Comment_3280408
You know, years ago the game was chase oriented, and in fact genrush wasn't a problem and if I lost a game was only because I met skillful survivors that kept me in chase for lots of time. Now you can spam pallet, spam second chance and genrush perks and you win also if you last 20 seconds in chase.
This game doesn't reward skill anymore, if you're noob you can still win as survivor. You can throw pallet and rush gens with hyperfocus and prove thyself and you still win. It's not surv sided, it's noob sided because this game reward who doesn't want to learn how to chase, how to keep killer for the whole game and, at the same time, doesn't reward the killer for ultrashort chases. If the game focus on chases instead of gen, trust me that in particular veteran will be happy, also because you can run every type of build without getting genrushed
if you're noob you can still win as survivor.
Yet some people still die every game, how?

Judging by how my friends pc went to 11 FPS when all 5 of us brought murky reagents in custom, I doubt they would do this.
Then we ask bHVR to change the way they do the fog.

Ideally every mid chapter or every other mid chapter. Nurse and Blight are always complained about and killers like Freddy and Myers are very outdated for a long time.|
Also twins changes were confirmed in january and we won't see them until next january at least. 1 year for quality of life updates on 1 character /30 is too slow.
okay.
maybe you should try suggesting that instead of lowkey trying to hide your suggestion in an economic strategy that is worse than the current.

Yeah, I saw. Just explaining how I got to my conclusion from the outset. xD
I should have tested it first when I first watched that video, I have been using those two addons for like 50 wesker games now LMAO.
I can pull them off now for slight better bounds now.
-
👽 BOTH OFC.
This Post sounds a little like bHVR cannot do both changes to existing killers and have teams making new killers at the same time.
-
@RainehDaze said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3280213#Comment_3280213
ahahah, there's an easier way to do it that doesn't require messing with the actual values in any way.
Addon 1: plus 20% to first bound, -20% to second.
Addon 2: plus 20% to second bound, -20% to first.
So, if it uses the base value, then the bound distance is (1+0.2-0.2). If it doesn't use the base value and multiplies through, it's then 1*1.2*0.8=0.96.
Seems like it's the first one.
As for builds, been trying to work out a fun one just for getting into chases. I think I put on Floods of Rage. Situational Awareness was kind of useless as all it told me is everyone had evacuated the area constantly.
I do like the sunglasses+uh... that purple syringe addon? Max infection = 20s undetectable and aura reading. "Hi, I see you got fully infected!"
I edited the second response to you, with an updated math and a actual test I threw together. Hope you will take a look.
