They released a huge Game Health chapter in June, they are working on many additional changes too.
They wont sideline an entire chapter for rushing these changes.
-
A chat wheel with simple requests would be SO MUCH BETTER.
-
Tunneling is a valid strategy.
You should ask why Survivors unhook you but wont take a hit for you lol.
-
bHVR has better stats than Nightlight
-
Iron will has been balanced now, you can still use it for stealth but you cant use it as well, when the killer is right next to you.
bHVR should NEVER revert those changes

Nice goalpost shift!
You stated that Billy was undeniably unfair then asked me if pre-nerf Billy was never unfair. Cute to add in the "never" to put words in my mouth.
Billy went up and down like all killers depending on the changes to perks, maps and the like even discounting direct changes to him.
So once more, the burden of proof is on the one making the claim so if you want to maintain that he was "undeniably" unfair pre-nerf then show your evidence.
I didn't put words in your mouth I asked a question. You alright?
And once again you can google it or you can go to Steam and type Hillbilly OP or unfair in the search bar. Its pretty much all over.
-
I think bHVR is over effects like that, Old Tinkerer would be an example of that.
it was not pretty. It was very unbalnced.
-
There is no way Hillbilly will exist without the roar now, its required to make counterplay in low mmr is my theory.

The funny thing is unless they are mori'ing or using bleedout/basic/special attack kills then they really aren't killers they're just characters who down you to put you on a hook so that the entity can kill them
Its true.

"look at feedback from before his nerf Hillbilly was unfair and overbearing this is undeniable. "
Okay, if it's that undeniable then you can provide a few examples denoting how and why he was unfair.
Because that certainly doesn't fit my recollection so it's most certainly not "undeniable". I do deny it. Given that you're the one making the claim, the burden of proof is on you.
I honestly look forward to seeing what you come up with! BTW, Sluzzy posts do not count. :)
Good catch, undeniable to anyone reasonable I guess then? Wait you honestly tell me pre-nerf Hillbilly was never unfair? NOPE.
But I'm not going to google 'hillbilly op before 2020' for you, you can do that yourself.
You also ignored the example I gave myself. :)
-
This video is seeped in the usual HillBilly Nerf Conspiracy talking points, to correct it look at feedback from before his nerf Hillbilly was unfair and overbearing too this is undeniable to anyone reasonable. Like most of these Hillbilly Videos and the hillbilly conspiracy narrative, it really strokes the ego of billy players claiming that 'hillbilly was perfectly balanced and bhvr's nerfs were uncalled for' however this is such an obvious falsehood that when you go back and look at the feedback. Hillbilly nerds are literally being marketed to for clicks and ego now. Its crazy yo see my community like this. I highly encourage Billy players to look up the feedback before the nerf and come to grips with the false narrative.
Back in the Ranked days a huge amount of Hillbilly players were in Red Ranks, the Billy layer we called it. Basically if you wanted to reach Rank 1, you had to play vs billy after billy with bbq traveling the entire map in seconds getting down after down in seconds.
Which is fair apparently, no ofc it was not.
The video sorta gives the base narrative to explain away that problem, 'that survivors who didn't find hillbilly fun were low skill' which is general elitism ofc but if hillbilly has no counter play for low skill survivors there is a problem and bHVR fixed that unlike the billy community teaching counter play to the wider community. You cant explain away a problem like this and bHVR made the right move. You think perhaps its okay to lay waste to low skill players, nah man not in this game.
The only way Hillbilly might have been saved from a nerf like this would be SBMM containment, if true that 'high skill survivors' just loved to face high kill Hillbillys then SBMM would have made that happen, but this nerf was before SBMM so it was when it was a majority problem vs. a minority problem. Its conceivable that Hillbilly could have been hidden away there like Nurse and Blight is now.
The video is right in that Billy is a bad Killer now, he always had a high skill ceiling to work effectively I used to play him myself at a lower skill level, he was never fun, you can find much better value in Bubba as a chainsaw Killer.
My suggestions would be, Drop the narratives it just makes you look like inexcusable generalizers or worse liars to anyone who researches Hillbilly feedback for 5 seconds. Ask bHVR to rework hillbilly to make him easier to play as with the same pressure as Bubba (if that is truly what you wish), that would be great for me. This would only happen if bHVR think Hillbilly's design should be a low skill entry killer, which the Cannibal was. But bHVR is generally okay with having some low skill and some high skill killers.
I DO NOT want to see Hillbilly to return to some former glory, because what he was, was terrible. But Hillbilly deserves a new glory on the high mmr scene 100% if people really thought he was haha hilarious to play against, thats an area worth exploring for bHVR over that of Nurse and Blight.
However remember there are like 20 other Killers who could use an addon rework as much or as Hillbilly.
I always expected @Pulsar to be a high mmr (high rank) Survivor, and your opinion on Hillbilly pretty much confirms that-
I knew it.
Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk.

no I want fun games I want to play against killers that have a fun power to play against like oni and billy huntress blight I don’t want to play against boring and annoying killers that don’t have counter play in a pale versions of old maps if you played the game enough you will understand that chases is fun and ending it with your power in no effort
is frustrating
Put names on the Killers you feel are unfun and explain why they unfun, then suggest way they would be fun.
-
Are you saying the Killers, who are trying to kill you. Are killing you unpleasantly in an unfun way?
-
Shrug. We're splitting hairs at this point. You differentiated the two, and I explained why this was a bit tricky.
A bit tricky? I'm sorry you are confused by the concept of sticking around. but you refusal to do so does not make it tricky.

And thanks for proving my point ^_^. See - staying close by, to me, is just camping.
My best understanding of proxy camping is using a mobility or area denial power to shut down routes to the hook while not being close by. Something like Hag's traps.
Putting a qualifying word infront of the Word 'Camping' isnt rocket science tho and ye, they are both camping.
Just a specific type of camping. it isnt hard to understand.

Proxy camping is one of those terms that everyone uses but nobody can really define.
Like...if I see someone coming to unhook, I'll generally defend unless I'm already well in the lead, but I'm not going to set up and camp.
cant define proxy camping? Its staying in the general area or close by.

Here's the thing though.
'Camping' is not a basic tool. You're actively penalized for it.
I do pretty decently on Wraith, Slinger, Hag, Artist, Trapper, Cenobite, Demo, Wesker, Nemesis, Trickster, Pig and the other killers I play. Knight is the only one I'm really struggling on right now.
face Camping? Sure, proxy camping no.
-
It would be so cool, to just get a random perk selection to use.
-
Completely abusable.

I don't camp or tunnel. Why do you want more camping and tunneling?
Also - not trying to be nasty here - but literally everything you post seems to be relentlessly negative and sarcastic. If you're not having fun with DbD, why not look for another hobby?
If you are purposely not taking opportunities in a match using the games basic tools, then I understand why you are having a hard time. You could be doing a twirl before trying to land any hit and then complain on forum why its so hard to hit Survivors.
Its your own doing.
-
Because its a Perk and it would be very strong for all Survivors to have such info for free all the time.

No, it would dissipate after the survivor is unhooked, or 20s after the killer leaves the area.
yeah thats broken, force the killer to camp for 60 seconds and you have a min of 15% speed.
There is no reason to punish the killer for this.

If they swarm the hook, then who gets the benefit? They are obviously not doing gens.
This does not mean I endorse the idea, just that your argument is flawed
You can use the beneficial buff later, so it would not be flawed.
-
Survivors can use Deja Vu.
-
So one Item per bloodweb? Yeah sounds good.
-
I just thought the way they handled the main objective is just a better system.
Im not sure its better, we will see how many people enjoy playing against it for long time.
-
Well Myers is old and could do with an upgrade.
-
Why do I as a Cannibal player have to be punished for defending the hook from Swarming Survivors?
-
- Fix the problems.
- Fix the issues.
- Solve the bad things.
Easy.
-
Should two character's hit boxes collide for more than 5 seconds, they should be able to slide through each other.
some validation for movement around also need to be implemented so that it cant be exploited
-
So if Survivors swam the hook and I have to defend it, the Survivors get a free action speed bonus.
this is not a good idea.
This would make a great perk tho.
-
I watched some, its basically just child games like Simon says and remember.
Game looks good tho, but not a game I think will last.

I didnt, you generalized it.

Honestly, i think there is too much things to care about anyway.
Why bother? Most people play only for fun and do not really care about depths of this game.
Only us, who got adicted will and do know things.
You have better fun when you know how to play vs a killer or as a killer.
-
This is generally a problem for Killers as well, the ingame tips are just bad the deeper you get into the game.
Here is what bHVR should do:
Reach out to the best players in the Community and work with them to create more tips for each Killer and for Survivors facing that Killer. 10 tips for each and load them into the general tip pool.
Its about time you updated those messages anyway, also you dont need to make some for a Killer right away, give them a year to rest past any changes with mid chapters and let the Community theorize how to play them the best way and vs them.
The better the Community knows how to play vs a Killer, the more fair would it be to buff said Killer should they be lacking.
-
It looks like I'm rage DCing, but I'm not.
Sure I believe it. :)
-
Just googled it. HOLY MOLY.
I hope Mandy and Forum Crew are aware.
-
Nobody I play with has reported this issue.
Post a video of it to Bug reports with the Logs here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/146040/important-use-this-template-to-report-your-issue
The only DC's I see is when Survivors magically disconnect when they go down in or pretend to camp them for 10 seconds.
-
and you can't bring it out too close to the loop
Then stand back, its a pain but the only solution atm.
-
Here is my run down
Chase survivor, when survivor gets to a loop with pallet.
Unzip your guard. Keep your eyes on Survivor as the guard unfolds.
Punish the movement a Survivor is forced to make.

His reload speed did not get changed at all, so I don't really get why that is relevant in context of the nerf? And he still shoots far quicker than Huntress, his wind up is not even close to being as long and he is still one of the best 10-15 killers in the game.
I don't understand people saying the killer is not enjoyable anymore, since he did not really get changed too much... Just because of 0.4 seconds of wind up? Insta shooting was a dumb mechanic and I'm glad it is gone, Imagine Huntress could throw hatchets without needing to wind up at full speed? Sounds stupid, but that was what slinger was like, and guys who want that back seem to just not want to aim properly, but rely on doing something that cannot be reacted to.
You did have to aim tho Semantics aside.
Its true, I have not recovered on Deathslinger since the nerf, every game with deathslinger is terrible.
You tell me then how hes supposed to be played.

Maybe it's just a mindset thing, but me and my friends DON'T bring the best. And I know that isn't representative of the community as a whole, but in general, I see a wide variety of non sweaty perks in use when I play both as survivor AND killer. When I say non-sweaty, I mean I run We'll Make, Any Means Necessary, Diversion, and Saboteur as my MAIN build. My back up build is Sabo, We'll Make It, For the People, WGLF.
But when I play killer and I main Huntress, I play BBQ, Iron Maiden, Darkness Revealed, and Lethal. And I do fine. Some games end in 2ks, the majority of them end with 3. You don't HAVE to play the most meta perks at all times is my point and while yes, those perks all work well for Huntress specifically, there's no gen regression in my build. My gameplay is reliant solely upon my skill in chase and my ability to find people quickly and get those hits. If I lose, I know it's because of my lack of skill and if I win, I know it's because I played well. Not because some perks carried me and stopped people from getting their objectives done FOR me
You are carried by BBQ, Lethal and Darkness Revealed. You would not know where people are without them.
Those three perks are literally the best aura perks Killers have.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but skill is a small part of dbd.
-
I too wish for bHVR to do something to make Deathslinger viable to the general audience, its a hard slap in the face when you buy a Killer which is enjoyable to play and then its nerfed and not enjoyable anymore.
- I cant make a splitsecond decision anymore, everything has to be predicted and slowly executed.
- He is SO RELIANT on Reload speed addons. I hardly ever use any other addons.
Please make Deathslinger better.
-
How else you expect Killers to play when Survivors bring their best too.

It's supposed to be an asymmetrical, casual game. Why are you trying so hard to turn this game into a competitive game? Stop this nonsense.
What changes to the game do you perceive as competitive?

Maybe.

Nice. Time to suggest some really good game changes.
Basekit Franklins.

Back again with the Steam Charts I see.

Hmm,
My guess its the lack of line of sight blockers.
