ever since SBMM has been introduced my matched have been rather excellent. I very rarely get sweatlords and people I get to kill are nice.
But I expect anyone who is good at the game will suffer cause they will get to play against people who are equally 'insufferable'
Too bad for them I guess.
-
.... uhm Reading literature ofc. hurhurhurhur 😎😎😛
-
If I didn't find Dbd fun, I would not play it. Like I don't even think idd be on the forums.
Why be on the forums for a game you don't like, like how many changes to the game is between fun and boring for you guys?
I find this game fun and all the unfun parts are basically one patch note from being removed, this games a winner.
-
there was a hook above you.

The Map Team just finished Shattered Square and there seems to have been QUITE ALOT of things they needed to work on after it too, many map bugs that needed to be straightened out. Plus they also had to rework RPD, so when did you expect them to have time to squeeze in Swamp?
-
Its weekend.
-
Dbd's Killers have problems, but its not bHVR's fault. See everyone of us is at a MMR level and we have to preform at that level, but when a new Killer comes out we cant necessarily perform that. its easier for Survivors, all survivors play the same way.
So balance need to be taken with a huge spoon of salt and remember the skill it takes too.
-
Problem with playing Killer is if you get good at one killer, you cant play any other cause your highest mmr is too high for your skill with other killers. So you basicly have to play whack a mole with your skill with all killers. like rn, I wanna get good at playing Artist, but MAN do I not want to do that.
-
Watch: https://www.twitch.tv/onepumpwillie if you want to get goop at playing Sadako.
Hes so excellent at it.

Is it possible that BHVR is using FOMO sales tactics as a response to their declining player base to prop up their bottom line?
Oh I'm sorry there I go asking a question again.
*robot voice* Don't ask questions. Just consume product and be excited for next product.
You mistake me dismissing Questions that cant be answered with consumer compliance.
Its a waste of our time to even engage when we wont get an answer, your questioning will only take you directly into Conspiracy Theories.
So its a no go, waste of time.
-
'I'm just asking Questions here'
Great another fearmonger doomsayer post, and people say FOMO is bad.
Ill remind you all Steam Charts figures does not incapsulate anything worthy of a whole picture, the discussions around this are so bad because people are willing to stake their education on one statistic regarding a videogame as PROOF of the Game Dying. But why? Well people need a reason to justify their belief in the importance of whatever they are unhappy about in the game. So people are grasping at straws to make their point, Last time I discussed this with someone hardheaded, I called my country's national statistics service to ask them how they do it. To sum it up most statistics are worthless alone, what you need is an after study in order to confirm things. Numbers on which bHVR keep to themselves.
So its all pointless to speculate about, only bHVR can do statistics on the real picture of things and they will do the changes needed.
Now I better get back to complaining about Dead Hard, you know the Important stuff we do here.

There was a question of time limited cosmetics on last survey, right? Is that related?
-
@Satelit said:
The BHVR that was against exclusives is long gone.
Had the Question of Exclusives ever appeared in Dead by Daylights Surveys?
Because if it has and the answers were overwhelming yes, then maybe bHVR has just changed that 'policy'
-
God forbid bHVR turns a profit on this game, right?

You mean you don't wear pajamas only during December? What has this world come to 😔
/s
Pajamas made no sense to me until I saw the small Christmas Themes.

Yeah, check out https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues
Check the master list for how to make Sure dbd is installed correctly
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/44/how-to-report-an-issue if no thread is helpful.
Full system reinstallation is also a favorite of mine, Good luck.

Its not going to be the moderators to explain to you their business decisions and they cant tell you what's going on inside bHVR anyway.
The kind of openness you ask for is not something any company should want, it personalizes it too much and people here take it too seriously.
Company gonna Company.
Either way I hope outfits will be available with shards the coming years In the future.
-
I have never had a Survivor lock me into a place for more than 2 seconds as survivor.
As Killer, I don't experience that issue.
-
I have no idea if the reason SWF is harder to beat is because of info or coordination.
But SOLOQ should get that info 110%
-
I used to do bad with Sadako, she is just sad little tv girl. no threat.
but then I watched https://www.twitch.tv/onepumpwillie who plays Sadako in a way to maximize condemned. He is worth a watch.
You can go full condemned stacker or mix, but if you try to play her like a normal m1/hook Killer she is a wet towel in your face.
Now my Sadako is steroid abusing power house, she will crush tiny little men.
(I dont know why I wrote this in TF2 Heavy's voice.)

Not us, I don't have a problem with it.

Ok, how would you describe that then? Something to be happy about? Something to cheer for? A positive thing? Elaborate please.
I would describe it as an inconvenience if anything.

Someone is trying to tell you what they see as their wound here (after you directly asked them to and iirc you were the one using the phrase wound first) and your response is that you would never describe that as a wound.
Yes, I disagree. I dont deny him his experience. Jeez

That sounds like those people that are telling people with depression to just stop being sad and be happy instead.
you realize people can have different feelings and perceive things differently and that doesn’t mean one way has to be right and the other wrong, do you?
no one tries to change your personal point of view here and no one tried to silence you
For real you are comparing me to an abuser of depressed people? Wow. Sorry for disagreeing with the flowery language then.

Modern Age began 200 years after Vitto was born.
Early Modern Age is 1500 AD to 1800
Late Modern Age is 1800 to after the Cold War'ish
DO WE DARE ASK VITTO ABOUT WOMEN'S RIGHTS?!?!

Ok, let's try this:
The wound is the fact that the store is going to have a reduced availability of choices: this is impairing my ability to see all my options when trying to decide which skin to buy.
I was able to do that before, I will not be able to do that anymore. That's a negative effect, that's the wound.
Are you satisfied or are you pretending to see physical blood?
Yeah, I would never describe that as a wound.

Seasonal cosmetics are not predatory or morally questionable. All of this is pretty much yelling wolf when no wolf is there.
-
Scarecrow from Batman
-
Contrary to what a lot believe these days, every time you fear you are missing out on something does not mean its a FOMO strategy.
- plus gotta say the way you added, 'Also THE TWINS' at the end there. Classic.
-
I really don't see the big issue, so I wont be able to buy Xmas Cosmetics in June? Well you cant? Then wait a year.
Seasonality is fine by me.

Dude
WE are the consumers.
Anti-consumers tactics HURT us
Taking away something that was previously available IS an anti-consumer tactic.
Why on earth would you defend that, if you're not gaining anything out of it?
If you a HURT by Seasonal Cosmetics then show me the wound.

Judging by BHVRs recent actions they will be back next year and the ones you can buy for shards now will probably be "auric cells only" then LMAO
We dont know that yet.

it unfortunately will get worse and it isn't just bHVR we need to thank for it. Decisions like this and people who support these decisions will lead us down very gross path, It's not a slippery slope at this point its a cliff and we're just moving to fall right off it.
All I have seen of bHVR's business practices does not support me in believing these things you say.
Seasonal Cosmetics are a gateway drug for egregious business practices.
And things becoming seasonal isnt egregious business practice.

Nah, not when they're removing things that were not time limited and making them time limited. If it was only for the new content they've released and will release fine. But to retroactively change things to fit that is wrong.
wrong by what metric? I don't see anything wrong with it.

They will be back next year.

The only thing toxic is supporting anti consumer changes. Especially when the economy is in the toilet and the costs of everything is going through the roof. What is free should stay free, what is available should stay available. End of story.
Nope, time limited events is fine.

I'm fine with limited cosmetics, you don't speak for everyone here.

Everyone should be against anti-consumer garbage like that. Taking something that can be purchased with earned currency then pay walling it is absolutely scummy. Good to know where you stand and that your entire opinion can be flushed like toilet paper.
I dont see why they cant change it up like that. So you think they are scummy cause they changed to pricing options?
what cosmetics was it again?
I think you are pretty fast on the scummy trigger.
-
@RoastedGarlic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284751#Comment_3284751
Are you okay with them taking previously available content that has been around all year for iri shards and then re-releasing them next year for auric cells?
Yes. You think I should be against that?
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284709#Comment_3284709
Okay then- the Ultimate Edition of the game costs £56.52, and only includes original chapters up to All-Kill, meaning there are still at least 15 content DLCs to purchase, the majority of which are not available for currency obtainable through in-game playtime.
And they're still using practices as if the game were F2P.
BHVR aren't gonna give you free things my guy, you don't have to dickride this hard for a company that doesn't care about you beyond your wallet.
Please dont assume Im arguing against your points because Im hoping to get things from BHVR.
Its very dishonest of you. I wont and Im not. You better take me serious if you want me to take you seriously.

It's more so that I think we're owed an explanation why they are taking content that was previously available all year round and suddenly deciding to gatekeep it
I don't expect them to come out and say "lol because we want more money" but I mean they could at least try to justify it or tell us why
No, they dont need to justify it to regulars. If you were a board-member, sure. You can easily get all you need to know from their actions.
Its not normal for businesses to share their marketing strategy like that.
-
@Brokenbones said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284712#Comment_3284712
To be fair
It's not your job to defend this practice
BHVR should be the ones who tell us why this is a good idea and not scummy, not you.
So Guilty of being scummy until proven innocent?
this does not fly mates, You have to demonstrate the scummy behaviour, not bHVR defending itself.
I worked in retail and took marketing as subject in school. bHVR is like a sugar princess in terms of scummyness imo

The irony of saying your preferences shouldn't dictate the world while wanting nobody to be able to get certain cosmetics outside of a certain time period because you don't like it.
If your argument is that seasonality does not provide ultimate freedom, then you are correct.
But that does not make me not fine with seasonality.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284677#Comment_3284677
I'd be more than okay with things having remained how they were- most cosmetics being Auric Cell exclusive- if it meant that time-gated cosmetics were never in the picture.
This game costs £25, with over £300 worth of paid-for DLC, and yet everything else about it is like it's completely F2P.
I accept bHVR can make it the way they want to and the way that generates most sales. That does not make it scummy.
The Ulitimate edition is 70 euro, you can save money.
-
@Brokenbones said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3284677#Comment_3284677
Why though
Like I respect your POV, but why are you okay with this artifical exclusivity stuff?
The game clearly doesn't need it, it wasn't a thing before so why is it being done now?
Also I agree with you abt the auric only stuff, Idm that because at least the content is still available at any time.
Time limited offers is okay, seasonality is fine. The same way as Im fine with stores not having Christmas decorations every day of all years.
You have to demonstrate to me why its bad first. Sure I can agree it would be bad if you prefer it every day, but your preferables should not dictate the rest of the world imo.
