Spirit alternates between being A tier on the same level as Billy in good hands and a dominant force to utterly useless depending on the current patch and how sounds work. Saying that the chase music should go off when using haunting though, but right now footsteps are broken again.
Also on the ptb they lowered chase music for survivors not killers.
-
Lol 115% Spirit would be frikkin insane.
-
Mori are getting better and better with each update, your animation guys are doing amazing things with Ghosts mori, any plans to revisit some older killers? I am sure many of us would pay $$ for updated mori animations we can swap out.
-
SB is better against certain killer, it pretty much nullifies Pigs ambush and makes it very hard for a wraith to get you, SB can save your life in more ways than BL, so it can be more "clutch" but BL is generally more useful all the time, or Lithe, I love me some Lithe.

Legion didn't need a nerf, he needed to be completley reworked. It wasnt an issue that Legion was too strong, it was that the strongest way to play Legion was a gameplay style the Devs didnt intend. (Not an exploit, just not what they had in mind when designing the power) that wasnt fun to go against. They wanted Legion to be able to injure multiple survivors and then use M1 to finish them, but in the clusterfuck that must have been the design process they probably mashed 2 or 3 ideas into one and then released it.
Billy is balanced and stay the ######### away from Spirit.
-
I am glad that they removed the things that made legion annoying, but this is stupid. Its just deleted legion. They shoudnt have released them in the first place.
-
I think the best thing would be remove the healing aura, and make it tied to exaustion. It would mean you cant stack MoM and Dead hard. (which is ridiculous in itself) And at least would mean you are giving up another "chase" perk for it. I don't think its insanley OP as some people are claiming, but it does need some counter or a heavier drawback.
-
2k hours killer main, I actually like this change, before it was too situational to bother using, so you just didn't see a single ds user, it was nice for a time but making a bit more powerful is good. Although I would have gone a step further and instead if increasing the stun time, gave the survivor jumping off a .5 second speed boost (like an instant dead hard) just to make escaping a bit easier, only because long stuns can feel oppressive to the killer player.
-
I, tbh, would have prefered that her vomit did damage, but was harder to hit. Managing the pools and corruption makes her rely heavily on chance and getting everything to work at the right time, but a lot less on actual player-skill. Getting rid of the pool mechanic, making corrupt purge defualt, with less sickness symtoms, but require a lot more skill from the killer to actually hit it.
We need more high-skill cap high-reward killers.
-
The balance would be that using a flame ability reduces both killers and survivors frames to single digits.
-
It would depend on degrees and frequency, if someone is deliberatley getting into lobbies with a killer and working with them to grief other players, then yes thats bannable, but also very difficult and I dont think I have ever had a game like that.
Things like pointing out a hiding survivor, killing yourself on hook, etc. I had a game really recently where it got to the last survivor and 4 gens were up, so there was no hatch. And the last survivor was just hiding for at least 10 min before his team-mate messaged me to say he was in the basement. That was more just to end the game rather than drag out an already lost game, but is technically still working with the killer.
I guess the best thing would be if in doubt, get whatever evidence you have and report, they might not get banned for that instance but if they are consistently being reported for the same behavior then the mod team should pick them up eventually.

If your latest patch causes major issues with the game, fine. Developing for a live game is hard.
But to drop 2.4.0 before Christmas, with broken sound, and endless crash bugs, and then do absoutley nothing for 6 weeks is ridonkulous. Fixes to these bugs should not be in the mid chapter, they should be rolled out as soon as possible.
-
Yeah you can definitley see the mistakes he made, games like these happen, when map RNG and certain things go one way, can change a game. He took far too long to get a hook chain going, should have slugged people far more to keep up pressure and been checking more gens. But lets not pretend this is every single game.
-
Hope she gets better soon!
Getting nearly 3 weeks off over Christmas is crazy, im in the wrong industry. -
Considering they are only getting back today (Legion buffs and sound fixes asap plz it's been nearly a month) it seems fitting. Happy New year and merry Christmas bhvr
-
Normally there would be small patches a couple of weeks after a chapter, but with the devs being away for the holidays. (And I'm not whining, but closing till 3rd of Jan is insane, no business gives all it's staff 2 whole weeks off at Xmas, 3 or 4 days if anything.)
So won't see them till the 3rs, might get some minor fixes then but more likely mid Jan. Gives us time to get used to the broken audio. -

They said their team has grown enough that they can have strike forces. Then make a damn Freddy strike force. If they dont call themselves "Dream warriors" im done supporting this company.
-
Why do higher tiers only highlight the gen for longer? Shouldnt it be the other way around?
-
The audio is making me just not want to play, and that makes me pretty sad. Playing killer is pointless without being able to hear footsteps. The FPS, balance changes, all that stuff im not bothered about, issues that have always been part of the game im happy to wait for. Survivors no longer have footsteps.

Before I offer opinions to your suggestions, I would like to inquiry about what rank you have progressed to playing killer. The reason I ask is playing killer at the lower ranks is much different than games against more experienced killers. The same I would like to ask of what rank you have made it to as survivor.Good point. I've run killer and survivor both at primarily rank 10-11.
EDIT: No sorry, forgot not shared ranks. Survivor 10-11 / Killer 13-14.
With all due respect, Brown/Yellow rank Killer games are meaningless, and your opinons on balance dont hold much weight. Survivors at that rank are complete potatoes.
-
I used to run NOED on a lot of builds, because when you are learning the game (And for killers, "learning" can be several hundred hours before you get good map knowledge, understand pressure etc) The majority of games are going to get to endgame, and you want to set up almost knowing that all gens will get done. As you improve, its a natural switch to perks that help end the game quicker, and id much rather say, MYC to get those exposed hits throughout the game and keep pressure on, or even a 3 stack DH to create a panic mid game. Saying that, If I play someone who is likley to get gen-rushed, or I am not as good with. (Hag, Clown, Freddy, sometimes trapper) Its a great little thing to have in the back pocket just in case, and the suprise factor of it proccing mid-chase is always fun for the killer.
It is perfectly counterable, and if a team is smart, it's only ever going to get the killer a final hook, at which point the surivors either cleanse the totem and make the save, or decide its too risky and let the poor guy who got caught die.
DS is similiar in the running it is assuming you are going to get caught, has a little less counterplay, but still some. The difference I would say is that NOED is not a meta-perk, and isn't used as frequently as DS is, when you are bringing 16 perks into a game, around 80% of games I would say have at least 1 DS. (A bit less at R1, but I still think DS is far more common at Rank 1 among "Good" players than NOED is among "Good" killers)
But neither are game changing, I have had far more days ruined by Adrenaline than I have DS, and ruined others days far more with DH/MYC and Haunted than I have NOED. -
I had to double check this post wasn't from 2017.
-
I'm going to play Legion for a bit, get Discordance. But unless there is some real changes coming soon itll be someone I only run for meme builds and for trying to have fun. Its such a shame, I still have hope, especially with how they balanced Spirit post-release, I only hope they would rather introduce small tweaks gradually, and this is just the start.
it totally makes sense to release killers weak and then buff rather than release them OP and then need to nerf, generally both sides hate nerfs, so I can understand the logic.

I like what they did with the graphics as well but I can't be the only one still waiting on the devs to fix gen rushing.I mean Discordance is a direct counter to it. Legion as a whole is well suited to deal with most high-level SWF tactics. (Although with some huge weaknesses.) I think the Devs are well aware.

Isn't there a Chinese sub forum.
-
I don't follow.
There was at least 1 guy trying to get the save, and failed at hitting the Flashlight, you even see them try and run down the stairs past her. Mabey if they had baited her away so someone else got saved rather than being dumb you wouldn't have gotten camped. -
It depends entirley on what Rank I am playing at, and how competent the Survivors are. I deranked to deal with wait times during the event, and am still at Rank 10. In games today I can absolutely not tunnel and defintley avoid camping, because the Survivors are making a lot of mistakes, and generally play poorly.
At R1 or against survivors that have good co-ordination, and getting a 4k was the most important thing to me. (It's not now, the novelty has worn off a bit.) Then you are forced to tunnel to win, but against potatoes, you can concentrate on 2 hooking everyone before you start killing.

Cheating is bad no matter how you slice it
What is cheating, I don't want to be up against potato survivors. But what choice do I have at this point. It was either this or just keep playing survivor.
Well I’m new here so I don’t much about the game to be honest but in any game I’ve been on with a ranking system, deranking to gain competitive advantage was always bannable, is this not the case here ?
I'm not doing it for an advantage, im doing it because of the wait times right now, because the event caused all survivors to turn into idiots who go back to R15.
Beside, rank resets so often that it hardly means anything. A deranked killer at R15 will get matched with a team of R1s with a R20 friend to mess with the matchmaking anyway, so everyones still playing against the same people.

I'm just D/Cing, hopefull I can get to a rank where I can get games in a few hours. I would AFK to let Survs get more points at least but that only loses 1 pip at a time. I have been going for 3 hours waiting 25 min each time and currently only at Rank 7.
This sucks.
-
I think its down to Rank. Survivors are all acting like potatoes at lower ranks and a lot of them arnt ranking up still.
(Hardly play survivor and am Rank 10 and can confirm, its a mess still.)
So I think its just a case of much fewer survivors getting to Red ranks with the event. -
It's not viable in the game that we all play. Aside from in specific circumstances. (Gates open, hookswarm, Tunnelling for Dying light, etc.) It was viable in that Tournament, because of the rules they used. That decision, which was regarded by the community at the time as being really stupid, for this exact reason. It has no real relevancy on the game we actually play.
-
Have fun at rank 15.
-
Killer was super easy on Friday and Saturday, then once R1 survivors got thier vials, and just played the game normally normal service resumed. It was fun for a few days of Potato-level Entity-milk hungry survivors though.
-
From your writing and ideas, I can only think of 2 possibilities.
1- You are an actual child.
2- You are, without wanting to use a slur. "A little slow."
Either way sounds like this isn't the game for you, have you considered Civ 5?
-
You get a little 1 next to the number.
-
I mean Clown was A tier and required a high skill cap. Spirit is now buffed to A tier and requires very high skill.
The last 2 killers have been viable at R1.
-
Yeah unless the Hatch spawned literally in the exact position you would jump off from. (I've never seen that.) Then the only scenario for escaping would be-
-Jumps off.
-Killer hits you when your feet are on the floor, but the game decides you are invincible so he whiffs the hit. (Which regardless of the i-frames during unhooking being fair or not to prevent farming, in this situation, its bullshit, and incredibly frustrating for a killer.)
And you yeet the hatch. That exact situation shouldn't happen though, kobeing and deliverance are not supposed to be used in front of a killers face.
-
I'm having a great time, fun matches on both sides, although with Solo survivor its pretty rough, but as SWF its actually great times. As killer, its the best this game as played, and the flowers as an objective is probably perfectly balanced vs a decent SWF team, had some really intense, close games with good players.
-
I don't understand, it just takes some of the edge off the grind, no different to the change to self care way back when. Those that want to use NOED are still gonna use it, and those that don't think they need it won't. Changes nothing.
Mabey at rank 20 but who cares. -
Also they lowkey removed chase music when using Haunting. That alone is huge.
-
High rank gameplay isn't that bad, it's around rank 12-8 That in my experience houses the real scummy players.
-
She still gets Juked incredibly easily, and taking that combo means she is using base windup speed, so you have about 15 minutes to break Los or dodge the hatchet.
-
They see me patrollin, they hating.
-
Mabey downgrade it in rarity but it's still strong.
-
Buff the numbers a bit and count sacrifced survivors and we good.
-
If you took this away it would make Hag traps useless in chases, this is what they do. Killer mechanics are supposed to benefit the killer.
-
With the new resources and clear improvements they have made in terms of design and animation recently, I hope we get an "operation health" where instead of a new chapter one season they spend the 3 months going back and looking at the base game in loads of areas to bring it up to speed. But I imagine this is something they might want to do, as and when they have the time and money to put into it. If dbd keeps growing it's playerbase as it is into it's third year, we might get this, but it might be a while.
-
It's not OP In the sense of a killer, I'm used to assuming that everyone has self care by default anyway, but it needs a nerf or rework just so it isn't a garunteed pick for a perk. The longer heal times would help, perhaps also making it so you can't heal in parts, and need to channel the whole heal to work. Healing mid chase really shouldn't be a thing.
-
I think MYC is already very strong on certain killers, but some kind of visual inductor of who is effected by it would be great. In fact something on the survivor portraits to indicate exposed status that both killers and survivors can see would be a pretty good change for everyone. ( not just for MYC but all exposed status.)
Devour hope is tricky, because it is very hard to bring the perk into play, but if once you do get 3 stacks you can wipe a whole team very quickly. Global exposed is such a powerful ability that there does need to be counterplay, as much as I hate seeing my totem popped early. Haunted ground and making totems harder to spot should help as they already said they know getting totems cleansed is an issue.
