Her power will be able to send “spectres” (which look like her) towards gens, slowly creeping closer and closer, and you don’t know if it’s actually her or not.
-
It’s human psychology. Tribalism has always been a big thing and it doesn’t stop at video games. Some people aren’t susceptible to it but many are.
I remember when I used to play on WoW and the forums always had a Horde vs Alliance mentality with some people.

At least one of them should be.

Bubba's main attack isn't relevant to the movie, is offensive, and needs to be redone or completely removed.
Twins are ridiculous. The little brother is super fast. The Sister is incredibly fast. No reason for the characters to be so overpowered in one area.
Wraith is so overpowered that it's boring to play against or with.
All killers have a hit box that's unrealistic. A killer should not be able to hit you if both of your feet are on the ground on the other side of a window. A killer should not be able to travel from one side of the map to the other at twice the speed of any survivor. And players who are reported multiple times for being toxic and not playing the game as intended should be banned for a time period.
Not sure what you mean by Bubba’s attack being offensive?
Victor is very strong and if you’re caught out in the open there’s not much you can do other than to move erratically and hope they whiff. The sister has regular M1 movespeed.
I’m guessing you’re a newer player? Wraith can be very strong against new survivors but he’s pretty middle of the pack when you start to learn the game more. A good tip is to prevent him from blocking off pallets/windows while he’s cloaked and to do gens around decent tiles like shack etc. Try to avoid gens near dead zones (places where there are no windows or pallets.)

@SmarulKusia said:
TBH, the back of the map behind the main building upon release used to literally 90% of the time be a deadzone, not even a pallet or anything to play around, so I can understand why
Hmm I think it’s fine for such a large and strong map to have some kind of a dead zone tbh.

will this game ever get offline bots, so people can try to get better at the game using difficulties that increase from easy to insane, because I am online barely and want to play this game offline
It’s extremely unlikely. I’m not being pessimistic either; we still don’t have loadouts (despite over 190 perks.)
-
What a perplexing change. Maybe there was some kind of bug/issue? It’s is mostly irrelevant I suppose. I wonder if they thought it did too much or something. That would be silly but wouldn’t surprise me, bless em.

I actually feel you will be eating those words once you realize neither of those games will do anything.
Well you’re living in fantasy land then mate. You honestly think gamers don’t play on video games?
Elden Ring is going to huge. People have work, school, responsibilities etc and not everyone can split their time between multiple games. Plenty of people will leave so they actually have the time to invest in a game like Elden Ring.
Its not about “overthrowing” DBD. Its not even about leaving forever. It’s about the reality that people hop from game to game all the time, DBD is bleeding by the thousands, and as that continues, some pretty big titles are coming out.
-
Phhhhtt Bubba ain’t got nothing on my boy Billy.

@ActualPainedFrog said:
Sounds like a lag switcher, and I'm not gonna victim blame you here, but I'd say hacking to defeat a basement Bubba is definitely the most justified time to do it, though hacking in general is always unjust.
But with this reasoning, “hacking” in general would have to be justified because you’re basing it on a subjective requirement. Example if I don’t like DH, I can now turn my cheats on and it’s all good!
-
I think people miss the point when it comes to other games. They don’t need to overthrow DBD, they just need to siphon players. Our playerbase is already bleeding and if you think Elden Ring, or even smaller releases like VHS aren’t going to speed that process up, I’ve got a bridge to sell ya.

And we really should understand survivors in his vid is nowhere near as best.
Yeah solo queue has far too many variables. Mixture of skill levels, mindsets, game-plans etc etc.
Example you can easily get a team with bad survivors and good survivors, two of whom have just got back from work and want to mess about, one person just chilling in a corner half the match and the last person sitting on gens doing nothing else lol.
I don’t see how it proves anything other than, play the game for thousands of hours, be good at games, do well at the game.
-
For the game to be killer sided, you just need to play it for several hours most days of the week for several years straight whilst skilling up as if your livelihood depends on it, and then go against a random mix of uncoordinated people getting home from school/work etc.
Easy peasy.

@gendoss said:
I wonder if the narrative on the forums will ever change from killer's being oppressed. People like Otz and Scott Jund are finally admitting it because there is just so little evidence on the contrary.
EDIT: I realized that I probably made the title a bit misleading. I meant it as more "not as survivor sided as people make it out to be" than straight up killer sided.
Yes. Otz doing well in solo queue with no perks + 30 seconds afk is proof the game is killer sided.
We will ignore the fact that he plays the game full-time for a living and has done for several years, just as we will ignore his history of setting and achieving against-the-odds challenges. He is clearly representative of the typical killer and as such, we should finally accept that DBD is indeed killer sided.
TDLR: Full-time career player with particularly good skills and a history of setting and achieving against the odds challenges vs randoms on solo queue = killers are OP and survivors are weak.

Sorry I just get off on it
You don’t get off on slugs? :x
My friend had 4 slugs going at once and she enjoyed it thoroughly.

never heard of this
google didn’t tell me how
i’ll figure it out
-
Why would you want to be a dirty hooker anyways?
it’s a joke don’t ban me :x
-
I used to joke that DBD was actually a black budget psychological warfare data mining operation. I’m starting to think I may be into something.
Man, that black suv is parked on the corner again. Who’d even drive a fancy vehicle like that down these dirt roads this time of night? Weird. I’ll be right back.

I wish I had the option to choose my own settings, and I’d love to be able to use endgame chat, but as a console peasant I’m denied the ability to communicate with the PC master race.

That does sound fun.

Technically Nurse is still the best on console and by white a margin, she’s just much harder to play than on PC.
Best whilst being the easiest? Probably our boy Bubba.
-
I play Twins too and some QoL would be nice. Far too clunky.
They’re strong for sure but definitely not the strongest, and CoH hurts them pretty bad. Most people either don’t know their counterplay as it’s pretty specific (albeit simple,) or they aren’t coordinated enough to pull it off half the time (which I find to be odd but there ya go.)

I'll work on my clairvoyance to try and have him when I'd wind up here. :T
Well I was suggesting to try using Billy with lopro in general, but you do make a good point; if you hone your psychic abilities to a high level, perhaps you can just turn all pallets into dream pallets!
Best of luck :D
-
People are already running iron grasp + agi to counter it.
I tried using the upstairs room on Ormand but the Huntress was prepared and I felt shame as she hooked me.
-
Beautiful doggy.
-
Did you try leading her away with some nuts/seeds?
-
This game if full of stuff like that. I think it adds charm tbh.

I am not at Liberty to divulge such information.
because I have no idea whatsoever

Try Billy with lopro. Makes him better than bubba at dealing with pallets imho.

Yup.
Grinding him for teachables was one of the saddest thing to do.
Cant ever counter sway from throws. Dagger flew more in 360 rather then into same direction
Autohaven is almost pitchblack
Ahh don’t even get me started on autohaven console edition lol.
Claudette can blend in out in the open D:
-
Yeah. Trickster is almost unplayable on console. Fortunately I don’t like him.
A brightness option would be nice too. The game is way darker on console especially next gen as you’re forced to use max settings and there’s a notable disadvantage.
-
This is BHVR. It doesn’t need to make sense nor does it need to be rational. There will be plenty more changes like this to come I’d bet. Hope I’m wrong, but considering their history and some of the stuff they say, I wouldn’t hold my breath!
I honestly just find it funny at this point.

Honestly, when I've read the title my thought went to harassment and stream sniping in general.
And in that regard: DbD has a huge streaming support and viewer numbers other game could only dream of. It's kinda saddening, that the game doesn't provide much for them to protect themselfs from beeing targeted like other games, with much less of an audience.
But with insta-banning, I think that would sound good first, but it's hard to pull off. DbD has lots of streamers worldwide and stream during outsides of Behaviours working hours. You can't expect them to ban people during that time. Also it might cause a certain uncertainty. I remember, when a couple of years ago a streamer got people banned they faced, because they claimed that these people must have been cheating.
The playerbase was very vocal against giving streamers "so much" power. Honestly the current system makes more sense. I mean, people who cheat against a streamer already know that they will most likely banned for it. It's already calculated.
It makes more sense focusing improving anti-cheat in general and give players tools to protect themselfs from harassment.
That’s a good point. The way I see it is that if a streamer is targeted consistently, someone from the team that usually deals with this stuff can just hop over and take a look. Streamers with a larger platforms can be prioritised too.
I agree the optics aren’t perfect though. There will be people who take it the wrong way, but in reality it’s mutually beneficial.
People also need to bare in mind that it’s easier and more appealing for a cheater to target streamers on a consistent basis. These people play the game for a living and provide significant advertising for BHVR, yet they are specifically targeted because they are streamers and I think something needs to be in place to help with that.
-
@konchok said:
I agree with El_Gingero. It's not about offering special treatment to streamers, it's about using the streamer platform as a way to show that hackers are not tolerated within this game. It's important that cheaters are blocked whenever possible, but streamers should have an avenue to have that prioritized so that their viewers can see that cheating is not tolerated.
Well put.
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
Preferably, all players should be protected.
It’s not about preferential treatment. As Konchok wrote, “it’s about it's using the streamer platform as a way to show that hackers are not tolerated within this game.”
I agree that all players should be protected, and banning “hackers” live on stream is a way to aid in that effort.
-
Aye. Being camped / tunnelled sucks but the killer ain’t doing anything wrong, just as survivors ain’t doing anything wrong by being efficient on gens.
-
I’ve always been a stealth pig and for me it’s always been strong especially with a totem build. It’s a shame it’s an Iri and can’t be used every game, but it does make sense at least.

I would hope it gets added to us consolers as well. If they're serious about getting solos closer to swf than this is a must imo.
BHVR just pretend that basic programming “can’t be done” with DBD but it’s nonsense. They simply don’t want to invest any time or money into things like seeing perks before the match, loadouts etc.
-
To be fair Boil Over can be pretty silly.
A capture by AllSeeingGoySolo queue, no drop-down boost and missing a bunch of great skill checks.
It’s pretty fun though…but as a killer main…######### this nonsense Xd

It'll be like Lucky Break with all the hysteria and then it vanishes. How can you quit when killer got a huge rework to Dead Man's Switch? Very strong perk that gives killer an advantage. These perks are actually effective.
Just a side note but I see people reference lucky break often when it comes to these topics, however everyone seems to forget that it was nerfed into oblivion before going live. The hysteria was regarding pre-nerf lucky break.

That maths isn't right though. You only get the 6.25% if you hit every great skill check for the whole duration of carrying. If 1/4 of that duration is gone then you don't get the time to hit all the great skill checks thus you won't get the whole of the "one second" off.
Easy way to settle this is think about the number of times you’ve only juuust been hooked by a fraction of a second. I know it happens to me allllll the time. When it happens in the future, I’ll be wiggling free instead.

More perks should be like this. That way, they would be worth running and their counters would be useful.
I agree more perks should be useful, and Boil Over is fun to use, it just comes back to the SWF vs solo issue and how you can’t balance two different games within the same game at the same time.
As for Boil Over in solo queue, time will tell but it’s looking strong at least. I can’t hold it against anyone for being annoyed when this change came right after CoH, which came right after SBMM.
