  • Just make it so the short killers throw the survivors on hook instead of placing.

  • Objectively speaking killers are clearly at a disadvantage. The issue is that the vast majority of survivors, even at red ranks, are not very good at the game, so to them it feels like the killer is over-tuned. If however your team consists of legitimately skilled survivors and you’re facing a legitimately skilled killer, you have a considerable advantage due to how the game is designed to compensate for “potatoes.” Notwithstanding the SWF issue where they literally bypass the intended mechanics of the game with comms. Even a super skilled nurse/spirit is at a huge disadvantage when facing a skilled SWF.

  • What’s with survivors not wanting killer to be able to do literally anything in this game lol. I’m new and already get flamed and called a camper for defending a hook when all 3 survivors come to rescue, or for killing a survivor when their team is silly enough to unhook them directly in my face without borrowed time or DS. These strange rules killers are pressured into adhering to essentially boil down to “no, you need to let us all escape you’re not supposed to perform your role as a killer.” It’s weird.

  • I’m new to the game but I really don’t see an issue with the perk. If the killer has someone on hook after all the gens are done and you haven’t managed to get rid of all the totems, don’t have DS, borrowed time, soul guard, DH, sprint burst etc etc, and therefore can’t effectively work as a team to save them without risking dying too, then fair play.

What’s with all the handholding in this game? Browsing through the forums all I see is nerf this, nerf that, I don’t like this please change it, I don’t like that please change it. In the majority of cases, even as a new player, I can see that these things are fine and/or have counter play.

NOED for example. If you’re the last guy, your team didn’t manage to get all the totems down by this very late point in the match, and you get caught out looking for hatch or heading for the wrong exit gate, fair play to the killer. I see no issue here whatsoever.

Or if you’re the last two survivors, the killer manages to get one of you on hook and you either have to abandon them or give your life for theirs. Fair play to the killer.

Or the first scenario I mentioned. Full team, one on hook, haven’t been able to find all the totems by this point in the game and still can’t find the last xyz before hook stage progresses or struggle phase ends, and can’t use teamwork or second chance perks to save them even if the killer is camping the hook. Fair play to the killer. He got a kill at the very end. Not a big deal. You still won. Move onto the next game.

  • I mostly play survivor but I’m starting to consider mailing killer tbh. Survivors strike me as excessively coddled. Killers already have to deal with all of these absurd “unspoken” (lol) rules, whilst facing premades who’re literally using third party programs to bypass the intended mechanics of the game (cheating.) Adding to that experience unnecessary nerfs of every little thing that hurts a survivors fee-fees, it’s shaping up to be quite the underdog situation. I always support the underdog and look down on the spoilt brat lol.

  • I’m new to dbd but looking through the update history, it certainly appears to be one of those accursed games where the community gets every little thing that rubs them the wrong way nerfed into the ground, again and again, without ever learning to actually play or counter things. Games with communities like this seldom last. I’m sort of surprised dbd is still going given how chronic the problem seems to be. How very disheartening.

  • Playing trapper without the bag is akin to playing survivor but without sprint.

  • I’m a new player and after about 60 hours of playtime I’ve only been able to cobble together two decent survivor builds and one for killer. The grind in this game is genuinely ridiculous. Perhaps with a million blood points I can actually use some of the other characters I’ve purchased.

  • Wait hol up, how do you gather faces? I’m new lol.

Oh my gosh, I've seen legion ALOT, kinda frustrating, lol

Aye it’s not the best lineup to keep running into especially as a new player lol.

  • The game is clearly designed around solo play and working with limited information, hence how the mechanics are, much of the perk design, etc. I get that some people just want to have fun with their friends and that’s cool, but if you group up on comms your still essentially cheating - using third party applications (discord) to bypass game mechanics. It’s not too far removed from playing an FPS with wall hacks etc.

  • I don’t really see those killers too often tbh. I mostly see ghostface, legion, Freddy, Pig, Spirit.

  • Ive only just started playing the game and caught wind of these strange rules recently. Bizarre that you get criticised for playing your role as intended by people who love to run around teabagging lol. I’ve already been accused of camping on a few occasions even though all I did was patrol the hook area and the two closest generators because I could see all three survivors running to the hook to rescue. But I’m a camper because I don’t just run to the other side of the map and allow them to unhook. Amusing. I don’t let it bother me and will continue to play killer, not babysitter.

  • I think people need to just try to relax and realise dad is just a game. You’re going to get “toxic” (hate using that cringe terminology) in every game. Granted I’ve only been playing for a few days but I’ve already had dozens of inflammatory messages and I either just chuckle or facepalm. Be the bigger person. I know it can feel personal, but at the end of the day they’re just random strangers messing about in a computer game and most of them are probably kids/teens doing what they do.

  • I’m new so I’ve only done it once when I was first hooked and my team were on the other side of the map healing each other then heading to gens. I’m cursed in this game though. 100% the time the killer will come directly to ,y gem at the start of the match lol. It’s actually insane.

  • I’ve had a few teabagging survivors and some petty insults via dm on Xbox last couple days but honestly it either just makes me chuckle or facepalm. Don’t let it get to ya. At the end of the day they’re just random people playing a game, and more than half of them are probably kids/teenagers doing what they do.

It does not work with Killer Powers.

Damn, that’s weird design. Aight cheers for the quick response. I’ll stop using it on Cannibal then, lol.

  • I’ve only played 3 games since the update but in 2 of them there were a couple of highly sus hits, the likes of which I’ve never encountered before, though I’ve only been playing for a couple days total so this could just be normal.

In one game the doctor hit me with a non lunge attack in the basement. I was about 3 or 4 steps up the staircase. He was on the ground by the corner, almost behind it, a good 3 or so feet from the first step of the staircase.

In the other game, again vs the doctor, he hit me with an attack as I stunned him with a pallet. He was on one side and I was on the other. Just felt off as every other time I’ve been in that situation the killer gets stunned and I don’t get hit. It was like he hit me as he was stunned.

Again this could all be normal as I’ve only just started playing the game, but these hits felt weird compared to everything else I’ve experienced thus far. Will update of I notice more.
