The first and second survivor hit with Feral Frenzy has deep wounds applied, tge 3rd recieves deep wounds and mangeled for for 90 seconds, 4th recieves deep wounds, mangeled till healed and is broken for 90 seconds. 5th and beyond can be downed by feral frenzy as long as they arent afflicted by deep wounds and are injured. Obviously this is all within the same iteration of ff
Reduce fatigue slightly (maybe 1 second), slightly increase duration, make bloodhound basekit while in feral frenzy.

I honestly feel like Wraith shouldn't get a speed boost after using his power. I've been trying to play safe against Wraiths, it works well but if The Wraith has shadow dance it completely backfires.
It makes me feel like a mad man typing this aloud but I think Wraith is becoming a lite version of Spirit. I get to a pallet against a shadow dance Wraith that's still cloaked and I just can't do anything without giving him a time advantage.
- Play safe
Pallet gets shadow danced, Wraith uses his cloaked and uncloaking MS bonuses to get a hit faster than I can find safety.
- Loop the pallet
The Wraith stands under the pallet and uncloaks using his MS bonus to wrap around the loop, because I tried to loop the pallet I'm on the opposite side of the loop and I can't punish him for walking into the pallet.
Am I ill? Have I been playing survivor to much? Am I becoming one of those people? Help.
Ive been running all seeing on him. What ive noticed is good survivors get to a pallet and just wait. If i uncloaked in frint if them theyd drop the pallet after i uncloaked but before i could hit. If i got to close theyd drop the pallet and hit him. If i sat on the other side of the loop theyd react to which way i was coming, but it seemed like this was mire 50/50. There was a lot of nuance and counterplay there i didnt appreciate before. It was like a fun minigane where sometimes id get the hit sometimes i wouldnt.
If you go back and watch oracle v tru3 they were doing the same thing.
If i remember right shadow dance makes kicking pallets faster when theyre cloaked. This cucks that pretty hard

He shoukd be 120 for how bad his power is

Lately ive been finding that gen placement is really strong and way in the killers favor though, sometimes you need to break some of the walls on the lower levels for quick access to them, but ive seen 5 gens spawn practicall on top of each other.
Point is, i dont hate it as much as i did when it first came out

Don't wanna be playing a sweatfest non stop. You still don't understand this is a casual game, majority of the people play this game casually. I hate to break the news, but high level DBD is not fun for either side. Even a lot of the people you want to balance this game around, such as these sweat squads and killer. They don't play this game in public matches, they literally only play the game in the few competitive settings there is. Why would you balanced a game were fewer than 5% of the base actually plays like that.
Then you must be pissed about mmr
-
@MarcoPoloYolo said:
High level /=/ comp. That's the highest level. DBD 100% is not balanced around high level play, but bad players. The game should be balanced around what someone can reasonably be achieved with effort.
That. Exactly. Thank you
-
@Saitamfed said:
If DbD were ballanced around highest players that will mean... first, the game will need rewards.
Second, the game wouldn't be played casually which is the largest amount of player base, the sweatiness will increase a lot since the new comers, as they're perkless, they'll want to climb up to get each perk... easier, the game will need a ranking system... an accurate one which is indeed very hard.
I know some people would say "if you want to chill then stay in low ranks" but since the game will be competitive, even staying in low ranks will mean that someone will play as sweaty as possible.
I don't think it's a good idea... at all.
Mmr is going to do that anyway, which is why it needs to be legit balanced

Yeah but high level dbd constitutes like 0.01% of the whole player base. DBD is not trying to be some really competitive game built for esports like League or Counter strike. Therefore I believe it's far better to find balance for your average red rank game which constitutes a large portion of the active community rather than the 0.01% right at the top. If bhvr can find balance in high level dbd while also finding balance for your average lobby that would be great but I find that to be highly unlikely and I would rather have bhvr prioritize on your average lobby.
So balance around the top 10% or 25 even. Why is everyone so fixated on like 10 people. 99% of the people on tgese forums bring up serious issues most of which can be balanced at the top. The poll doesnt even say "highest level" it says "high level" which would be reds.

Yeah ive been trying to use it at loops i wouodnt normally since i never use it

I just played a few matches as Killer and in each one Survivors did gens way too fast and showed 0 respect for me
I can't keep up with them and they always seem to have the upper hand. Why? Are Gens too fast? Is Survivor side too easy?
Devs, can you please help Killer be more enjoyable and fair? Maybe something that stops Gens being done too fast would be good.
As an Asperger's guy, i tend to take the strong disrespect kinda personally and it makes me sad and feel like a joke. Does anyone else feel this way?
I recommend you close the chat or turn messages off. Survivors will always send you hate mail whether you win or lose.
As for the gens, yes they can go stupid fast. Thats why the only real way to pressure them is getting survivors on hooks and injured.
What killer and perks are you running?

But it's extremely difficult to realize how the vault system works as survivor. I found out because i was watching YouTubers vault faster than me and looked it up, a lot of people won't do that and never learn how to run killers properly
Thats because the tutorials could be way better and are a relic of 5 years ago.

I really like the new change that Wraith receives but I feel at the same time that it is too strong in some sections, basically it does not have a cooldown on its power, plus the advantage of seeing it invisible for about 16 meters I estimate, since before it was He could appreciate seeing it from 24 meters and it gave him the opportunity to escape from it. I feel like he's pretty good where he's at but he needs improvements, or a minor nerf to his power. I leave it up to him.
After seeing his performance against oracle he needs a buff

I normally hold them for 3~4 generators, it's not about looping or not. It's about literally suffering penalties on something i just can't avoid. (On top of having literally zero fun) And i get the whole pip thing do not matter, but come on, it's distressing at least.
I dont get this. If you ran the killer for 3 or 4 gens, what would you rather be doing? Gens? Totems? Youre doing the fun bit for most of the game 🤷♂️

Well, the whole I'll secure a down is really up to RNG sure if it's say Sanctum you'll get that down, but if you're at Cowshed it's gonna be brutal not having a chase power. Where Clown could do better with his anti-loop (yes not the best but more then Legion and with perks and add-ons in play it can make it better). Michael I also consider stronger because, instantdown, longer lunge, and faster vault for better snowball and once more add-ons and perk to make this better. Trickster and Trapper also up to RNG that could decide who's worst but once more add-ons and perks in play.
I was speaking in general, on cowshed you have to try and stick to one part of the map cause yes its rough otherwise.
If your not healing vs legion is has an instadown too, sure he doesnt have the otherstuff but if nobody is healing every one is exposed at all times and that first hit is pretty quick. I know with michael you mean pop the power and down them but realistically how many times can you do that in 1 match 3? 4 if youre super lucky?

So in the new developer update for this month, it was noted that no way out would be buffed to have a maximum of 60 seconds of blockage, and will only activate when a survivor goes to touch a gate, which can prolong its effect even longer.
I don't know this might feel from a survivor perspective (I can guess it might feel boring since it essentially blocks off your only objective for a while), but this feels pretty sexy on the killer side. It takes a ton of pressure off of the endgame, which is usually your worst hour.
And that's why I'm here to announce that I'm eloping with NWO and y'all can't stop me
So stbfl, noed, blood warden and no way out. This will be fun 😈

Fun: dark devotion, nemesis, tinkerer, third seal, then for sure dream pallets and then either the one that makes all the gens spurt blood or the one that makes you invisible till your close.

The reason they're in my opinion the worst it's not that threatening if you get injured since Legion has no chase power which is a big issue. So they won't waste time healing and just do gens. So the moment you get survivors who just know the basics Legion is doomed.
Thats like saying give michael t3 minus the vault action speed permanently and its no big deal because survivors that know the basics destroy him. If nobody is healing they are exposed and most tiles at a high level are 50/50. If i chase 2 of you, one of those is probably ending in a hook. If people continue not healing i have a chance to snowball. I get what youre saying, at a high level they are weak, just not as weak as some of the others. Like clown that has less map pressure than legion and NEEDS people to not heal or trickster thats cucked by most loops on tge map, or trapper that just needs one dude running around untrapping and then has 0 power. Or michael that trades early game pressure for a power legion gets for free and unlimited. I like michael and trapper, and i can do really well with them especially trapper, but if im facing a swf and have to pick one of these im taking legion every time
-
Theyre weak but i wouldnt put them in the bottom 3. I love their power but it needs more lethality

We have some disagreements there I see on who's the weakest
If its not trickster or clown then yes lol
-
Sorry but the laceration meter is half his problem. This doesnt seem to fix that but make it worse. Hes a 110 killer that cant down people with his knives in 1 hit. So those hits NEED something else. It shoukd be that every knife that lands the survivir shoukd have to spend 1 second in an animation removing them (so if he lands 10 knives and you get away you shoukd have deep wounds applied and spend 10 seconds getting rid of it).
Compare him to bubba, bubba has a 1 shot up close but still suffers from having no map pressure. Trickster is 110, and his power is weaker than that.
Hes still the worst killer in the game

So right now, the forum threads about killers camping&tunneling during the event stack up. While at the same time, we also get threads about killers getting gen rushed.
Both problems are symptoms of the same problem: the current game speed. Killers camp&tunnel because they feel frustrated, since they often lose 2 or 3 gens in the first chase and survivors gen rush, because killers camp&tunnel.
We need a solution that goes for the root problem: survivors only having 1 real objective. Totems as a side objective are mostly ignored, unless they are lit. Then they work as a survivor magnet, that will come from the other end of the map to get rid of it.
My proposal would be that some gens require gasoline (including new item for the survivors: the gas can) while other gens require parts that can be found or brought in with toolboxes.
Now in regard of the camping: Since we already have skill checks for the second stage, i would love to see something similar for the first stage. Additionally to the attempt escape by pressing m1, survivors should also be able to start a increasingly difficult skill check by hitting space. If passed, the survivor gets rewarded with an increasing amount of bloodpoints for the survival category. (We all know how hard those are to get). On top of that, survivors get the option to prevent getting unhooked by holding E.
Im with you and agree, however we shoukdnt address one side of the problem and not the other. Let me tell you what I think we should do for each side:
Gen side: Add 4 switches around the map, each switch at base takes 20 seconds to flip, once a switch is flipped the gens in that are can be worked on. (This gives the killer more time to generate pressure at the beginning)
When survivors stop repairing a gen that gen regresses at the same rate as if the killer kicked it. Killers can still kick gens but it does nothing without a perk coinciding (like pop). (This means killers properly pressuring gens will be more effective as theyre engaging the whole team).
Camping/Tunneling side:
Once a survivor has been pulled from a hook that survivor cannot be put into the dying state until another person has been hooked, unless they take a protection hit and are injured. When pulled off a hook bt is applied at base for 6 seconds giving the survivors time to seperate. The trade for being invincible is repairing and healing actions are only 25% effective until another survivor is hooked. DS would probably need a rework. (This counters tunneling, basically both the survivor and killer want the killer to hurry up and hook someone else).
If a killer is within 8 meters of a hooked survivor for longer than 8 seconds cumatively, his aura is revealed to all survivors trumping any stealth mechanics/perks.
Each hook stage is now a minute and a half instead of 1 minute (these 2 counter hard camping while still leaving room for when its super prudent).
Some kinks may need to be worked out in this, think of it as a rough draft
Edited to add: maybe the more people hooked the faster the hook timer goes too? 🤔

It says in Twins' power description that Victor detects Survivors who are "walking or running" near him. This is a very, VERY literal description: If you are doing anything other than walking or running—doing gens, healing, standing still, or most importantly crouching—Victor doesn't detect you. The only exception to this rule is crawling.
Ive played with them like twice and havent read the description, thanks for pointing it out

I don’t have a problem with gen speeds. Survivors can’t do gens when in dying state or hooked. The problem is I think mostly Trickster and his effectiveness in chase.
Right. Must be awesome to be such an amazing killer. You shoukd teach ohtz since i often see him only have 2 to 3 hooks when 1 gen is left.

@Steel_Eyed said:
I would say it’s not killer movement speed that’s an issue but time to down a survivor. Tricksters time it takes to down a survivor is horrendous. Deathslinger’s is top tier.
And he gets gen rushed to ######### too
But i agree, the gen times themselves arent the issue. The issue is theres nothing else the survivors HAVE to do except gens

Break safe pallets
Great, now they just gained 30 seconds of distance and you just lost 3 gens. What's next?
Drop chase and go on another survivor
Great, now the one you just dropped chase with hops on a gen, and the next one you run into does the same thing, now you lost 2 gens before you land a hit. What's next?
Push them on the deadzone
Game doesn't last long enough for that to happen. Literally 1 hold w, and 1 pallet break in the first chase = 3 gens lost. What's next?
Thats why killers proxy camp and tunnel bad survivors
-
Depends on what killer you are.
Zone, create dead zones, run tinkerer or stbfl (or both) run brutal strength. These are the basics then depending on what killer you are you have some additional options
The problem isnt how survivors play, hold w has always been strong. The problem is the game needs secindary objectives

I still get face camped but not as much today as before but proxy camping is just as bad. I don't understand why to play the game this way like don't you want to pip especially how the game has changed the way pipping works. Either learn to play the game without being a complete prick about it just play the game so that everyone wins even if you do end up killing them on the hook. Sometimes not gonna like I wish that the Ranking System would just be removed or replaced it's already broken as ######### anyway so why not. I'm always either getting paired up with low-rank and high-rank killers and survivors anyways just remove it that way no one can claim they are better at the game because of rank which is one of the problems with the killers they do this because of rank shoving in the faces of survivors who are lower ranked than them its the stupidest ######### ever seeing in the game but that's just me though
Proxy camping doesnt prevent pipping. In fact it helps in pipping since if youre smart youre still patrolling your 3 gen and making the game more difficult for survivors getting more hits, downs and hooks especially in end game.
I mean a dev literally told us to let the gens far away go...its almost as if the game was designed to be this way 🤔

It only happens sometimes. Other times they get desperate and vault the window in front of you. You use M1 and M2 equally and thus M1 perks are suboptimal.
Surge? God it’s so bad. Run it for the memes maybe. STBFL? You have to tunnel in red ranks. Maybe the survivor was never tormented and now you lose the perk slot. Ideally you are downing with pure M2 anyways.
Fair enough, i dont use it much i just dont find him much trouble to go against.
I said tinkerer, surge is meh

Nah. If the survivors are amazing you use it for zoning more than shots. But M1 perks are a huge waste. If you are gonna run STBFL you might as well play wraith instead of a killer with a skill shot.
Ok but if youre using it to zone then youre hitting them with m1...so then stbfl is now a goid perk on him. The survivors dont have to be amazing to avoid the skill shot, its not that difficult. Which leads us back to zoning and the m1 meta and back to stbfl and tinkerer.
-
I just turn my messages off. The only people that act like that are people that only play one side. Its lame. We all have bad games.

Nah M1 perks are a waste if you are good with using his power. You only use M1 perks if you can’t land his M2. Against good survivors you have to rely on M2 and any M1 perks become irrelevant.
His weakness is holding m1 for a reason, landing that shot isnt easy since its telegraphed so hard. Especially in a stretched res environment. Stbfl and tinkerer are good perks on a hold w killer imo
