They need to fix the grind for new players but they fear the backlash from old players and the "compensation" they will need to give them.
They could give us legacy skins on every character we currently have at P3. Id take that as compensation.
They could even do a different legacy skin than before so as not to ruffle feathers with those guys

Where is the fun in this/?? Its too easy as nurse and those who say she is hard im not understanding where it takes skill to do what she does. Can someone tell me their struggles with her?
Depends on what rank youre at. I couldnt do jack so depipped myself to 13. Took me a few games there but it got pretty easy pretty quick.
Then i got to red ranks again and it wasnt easy anymore 😂
Once i had the mechanics down and got pretty good at blinkimg on them whatever they were doing i started to notice my weapon just passing through people sometimes and i kept running into spots where i just couldnt blink at all. I put her down and havent touched her sense

It’s because you attempted lunging instead of just getting closer and doing a normal attack. A lunge has a smaller hit box that’s easier for survivors to dodge, simply by moving out if the way a little.
Only lunge in narrow areas.
I didnt know it had a smaller hitbox.
Why?

Survivor side Claudette because blendette.
Killer side I switch: Freddy, legion, Doc, bubba, pig, huntress, wraith, occasionally Michael. Theres probably more but thats whats coming to mind right now

Yeah pretty much. It’s why Hoarder only really work with Twins, because Victor is the only one with the speed AND stealth to ambush a survivor.
Maybe Wraith too with his recent buffs.
Any other killer gets nothing out it.
Its fun on Franklins Trapper too 😁

Average people only have 3 characters? Yikes ive wasted money 😂

As far as Prestiging:
P3 level 50 on killers permanently doubles bloodpoints with that killer (like bbq).
Survivors same but your survivor now becomes a skin for Legion as well :)

I know that, I'm just thinking it would be funnier if they took your speed down, because in the description of Perks like Sprint Burst and Lithe is says specifically you go at 150% speed.
I see what youre saying, 150% speed of normal speed, not the doubled speed. That would be hilarious lol

Yes, definitely believable that your going against top 5 swf teams every game.
If youre not on a chase be on a gen, if you are throw the pallet early. That doesnt even require comms much less being in a top 5 swf

I'd like to imagine you would slow down to 150% from 200% because technically, I didn't say that movement speed Perks would be doubled.
Survivors move at 4 meters per second (i think). Double is 8. 150% of 8 is 12 (I think). 150% of 4 is 6. So youre still moving WAY faster at 150% of double the normal speed.
For context spirit phases at 7 meters per second roughly

It seems like you might want to consider testing the game on console yourselves before each patch then.
Relying on the PTB might not be the best method for diagnosing issues before a release. At least based on this chapter and the twins chapter.
@almo battlefield 4 had a few servers specifically set up for testing on consoles. Seems like a good idea. Players on console just download the ptb like they woukd anyother map/game

Exactly. If they didn't use dead heard, survivors wouldn't greed loops at all and just pre-drop pallets. It won't change a thing nerfing DH.
Then the pallets are gone sooner. SOONER. How is this difficult to understand?
-

I'm not getting away with extra loops because I can press E. I'm intentionally greeding because I can. I don't understand why so many people think there's no intent behind pathing. Take away Dead Hard and I drop the pallet sooner. You still don't get a hit.
But then the pallet is gone sooner and i can either continue chasing you or move onto someone else sooner. The key word here is sooner

So is NOED for killers....and like DH it can be countered. DH is fine imo, i dont play as killer that much but when i do i can still bait it out most of the times. I would say the perk is only an issue with killers that are generally less experienced or face bad survivors most times, so when they actually come against people that know what they are doing they think the perk is too strong.
The places you can bait it out isnt what the person is frustrated with. Its when you outplay the survivor and tgey just delete their mistake with E, OR when they use it for distance. Its a truly ignoring perk.
Honestly just delete all exhaustion perks and noed. Neither are good for the game imo.

I would disagree with this. If youre dumping points into a lvl 50 character for cakes it'll take a LOT more BP for cakes than if you just went 1 to 50 on a new character and then used their cakes (at leisure or not)
I didnt say to dump points into a level 50 character. I said if he didnt already have any then get a couple to p3 then save the cake on those characters
-
@DanielPaint said:
I want to prestige David someday and now I I'm thinking if it's better to level up a lvl 50 survivor or leveling up a survivor from lvl 1
In which case will I get more cakes and event items?
Actually no, its not a great time. Every bloodweb youre going to get cake, so if you take a character from level 1 to 50 spending cake the whole time youll probably have 25 to 30 cake, then you prestige and lose the cake.
A better thing to do is pick 3 or 4 killers you already have at p3 and grind out a few hundred cake on each, then after the event you can use tge cake to prestige them at your leisure.
If you have no killers at p3 then yeah maybe get 1 or 2 there and save the cake after that

One day a content creator asked them: "Hey, your matchmaking is bad. In half of my games my team is totally stomping the opposite team. The other half of my games, my team gets totally stomped. This is silly!"
Their answer: "So, you are winning half of your games and loose the other half. That's exactly what we want, a 50% winrate for everybody."
Nowadays, the game is officially dead, only a few custom player-run servers are left and only a bunch of hardcore fans remain.
Which is precisely why you dont balance around results

Fun fact. To make sure a gen never goes faster then 70 seconds you need to give survivors a 45% penalty when working with 2 survivors.
Atleast a 62% penalty for 3 and a 72% penalty for 4 survivors.
In the vanilla version it's a 15% penalty
Yup, its a lot. Which means splitting gens will be more meta than it is now, BUT gens naturally regress to (though slowly). Lots of give and take there. 3 genned could be a nightmare, but tier system should help with that a bit

Got some good stuff here:
- Extra BP to reduced the grind
- Survivors have more variation than just skins now because of the restriction of perks
- The ruin change is good however it seems strange considering only hag would be able to use it, this just seems like a QoL change to ruin in general
I used ruin as the example but works on everything, PGTW, Surge, simple kicks. Basically once a gen hits a tier it will never go below that tier.

I just don't see it being correct that people are claiming one side is more toxic because "Oh i witness it a lot more from them." That's one persons opinion on it. Even if many more share the same opinion doesn't make it correct. I've seen plenty of toxic killers. And I've seen plenty of toxic survivors. But people are free to believe whatever they want. I think it's safer to assume it's about 50/50 than one side or the other to just divide this games community even more because everyone just wants to have this "us vs them" mentality. That's where a lot of this toxic spews from.
Its not just one persons opinion, throw up a random poll i bet money survivors come back as being the most toxic. I can count on 1 hand the amount if salty messsages ive got from killers. Ive gotten literally hundreds from survivors. It gets so bad I literally have to turn messaging off. This is not a unique experience, anyone that plays both sides will tell you tge same. Claiming otherwise is silly

@ill_Boston_lli said:
Thoughts on gen speed? I am on the fence about it. I am super curious so see this discussion.
It depends. If the killer is trying to get 12 hooks, they are to fast.
If its a face camping bubba theyre a little slow.
I think what should happen is two fold: add a secondary MANDATORY objective. It could be 4 switches around the map that unlock the gens, it could be you have to destroy all totems before working gens, SOMETHING. There needs to be more than just holding m1 on a generator.
But if you do that you also have to find a way to disincentivize face camping without breaking the game. There are times camping is the right thing to do so i dont even know how to do that, but something. Maybe if the killer is within 10 meters of the hook for more than 2 seconds his aura is reveleaed to all survivors and he can see all the survivors working on a generator? Idk, just spit balling.
The point is to encourage more hooks instead of kills.

New player, only played as solo survivor till now,and have to say the game absolutely unfun, because of majority of times we are losing, thats to say killer kills everyone, about 1/10 in games there are more than 2+ survivor escaping. Usually killer gets 4k if the player wants it, slugging for it, if not there is 50% chance to get hatch for the last survivor. Gates arent option because they are usually spaming very close, so I just walk to killer to kill me.
Anyway I have about 150+ hour in, and about to try killer, it seems the easier role.
Which one would be easiest to play for a new player?
Thats to say very easy to master. I am thinking about Wraith but open to other suggestions, mainly because doesnt seem much to him, cloak then uncloak and get a hit, I think I barely had any game where could stand to Wraith, well unless we had a very good looper and Wraith commited to that player therefore lost.
Spirit I am not so sure about, according to reports very strong but seems more effort to master.
Also I red about Cannibal thats to say very easy to play, but for me he seems to slow, nothing he could do when split to repair generators. So seems to be bad against decent players, lacks mobility.
Man. Id really love for you to play killer exclusibely for 6 months and come back to us with a comparison 😂

Introduction
Nemesis has been out for a while now and there's a considerable amount of takes on him, as there usually is with any new killer. I've played him extensively since he was released, got him to P3, and feel qualified enough to judge what playstyle makes him most effective. I will be going over what add-ons, perks, and strategies work best on him and finish by going over his weaknesses.
What is nemesis good at?
In a nutshell; gen control. When starting a game as Nemesis, the absolute first thing you need to do is look for the gens that are easiest to defend. You don't need to defend every single one. At most, only 3. But keeping your eye on which gens survivors are repairing will obviously help too.
The reason for this is that his tentacle attack takes a while to down survivors due to the 3 hits you need to land. So his chases typically drag on for a while. You won't be winning games by going for as many chases as possible. Instead, assess whether or not you'll be able to land a hit on a survivor before a gen is completed. Whittle down survivors over time and only commit to chases where the survivor has no choice but to run towards areas with uncompleted gens, or if you think you can down them quickly. This is very sound advice for most killers but what makes it especially relevant for Nemesis are his zombies.
They are how you win games. Bob and Bobette, (these are their correct names and if you say otherwise your performance will suffer), are your key to locking down areas of the map. Once you have secured an area you want to defend, survivors will usually be going back and forth between gens as you patrol. This will naturally attract both of your undead compatriots and will force survivors to take detours, waste time luring them away, and give up information on where they are.
Always pay attention to the auras of the B-team. They will be a more valuable asset to winning games than your tentacle ever will be. Just be weary of their pathfinding sometimes breaking and causing them to walk into walls.
To summarise what Nemesis is good at:
- Defending 3-gens after securing them.
- Forcing survivors to waste time.
- Gathering information on where survivors are.
What should you use on nemesis?
add-ons
The best:
- Admin/Visitor Wristband.
Both of these add-ons extend the view-cone of your zombies and make it wider. So they'll spot survivors from further away and keep chasing them for a bit longer. The reason why these add-ons are the best is that zombies become a massive nuisance once near a gen that survivors are working on. Their slow speed and extended sight results in survivors taking much more time to lure them away and give you more information to use when deciding what part of the map to patrol. Always run 1 of these add-ons if possible.
The good:
- Brian's Intestine, Mikhail's Eye, Depleted Ink Ribbon.
- Serotonin Injector.
The add-ons the boost zombie speed function as a slightly less effective version of the Wristband add-ons with a trade-off. Your zombies will patrol more areas of the map but are easier to lure away because of their increased speed. Use at your discretion. (Something to note, the Ink Ribbon will spawn zombies behind exit gates once 5 gens have been repaired. And they will not wander once spawned. This can give you an extra shot at downing a survivor before they escape.)
The Serotonin Injector is a bit risky to use. As destroying a zombie can be good or bad depending where you want them to be at any given time. Still, using this add-on in combination with Exposed perks is especially useful on in-door maps or maps with long line-of-sight breakers. You also don't have to be the one destroying a zombie for it to activate.
the bad:
- Literally everything else.
Most of Nemesis' add-ons just suck.
Extra killer instinct on vaccine use, extra time to open vaccine cases, an extra 0.15 seconds of hindered when infecting a survivor, there's nothing useful here. Even his Iridescents aren't good. The Umbrella Badge is so situational it might as well come into effect every 100 games. And the S.T.A.R.S Badge requires you and a zombie to be in the same place 30 seconds after a gen pops in order to get use out of. Just avoid everything here. (But if you want to create a hilarious Hall Monitor build you can use the S.T.A.R.S Badge in conjunction with another movement speed add-on with a Midwitch offering. No running in the halls!)
Perks
The best:
- Save the Best For Last.
- Pop Goes the Weasel, Hex: Ruin, Surveillance, Eruption.
You'll never want to have a game without at least 2 of these perks equipped.
STBFL will massively cut down on the time you spend injuring survivors. And can have its stacks preserved by hitting the obsession with your tentacle only.
A gen perk is honestly mandatory on any killer and Nemesis is no exception. You'll need them to counter repair progress after committing to a chase, but what you use is mostly up to preference. From my experience Surveillance and Eruption are the best perks to have once you control a 3-gen.
the good:
- Surge, Enduring, Trail of Torment, Tinkerer.
Enduring allows you to go for more hits around pallets without fear of wasting much time.
Tinkerer is good for map knowledge and gen control.
Surge can synergise with Eruption for 14% total gen regression if you've already kicked the gens.
ToT will not de-activate if you hit a healthy survivor with your tentacle as you're not injuring them. Allowing you to slap multiple survivors until you feel like committing to a chase.
the bad:
- Usual bad killer perks.
Fire up, Monstrous Shrine, Gearhead, etc. There's not really any perk that is inherently bad on Nemesis that isn't bad on most killers. You're free to make whatever build you like with him for the most part. Just keep in mind what you're compromising if you decide to not run any gen control perks.
What is nemesis' weakness?
Bad RNG and his own power.
Big maps are especially bad for him since his zombies have less chance to be effective and it's usually harder to get a 3-gen.
But it's his tentacle that is by far his biggest weakness. It requires 3 hits to down a healthy survivor, has a tiny hitbox, and is at the mercy of the map clutter when attempting to hit a survivor. How the tentacle actually works is basically a short ranged beam that cuts off at points where it collides with something. This is very bad when you consider how loops do not always have a hitbox to match how they visibly appear. Meaning you have to memorise which loops you can and cannot hit survivors over in addition to actually hitting them with your tiny hotbox.
If you have the opportunity to hit someone with your tentacle or basic attack; always throw that right hook. You'll save so much time trying to hit them and ensure that they'll either have to heal or risk being downed the next time you see them. Whereas infected survivors will just open a vaccine box and gain their 3rd health state back.
conclusion
Nemesis is an alright killer. He can have good map pressure, some anti-loop potential, and excels once he gains control of a portion of the map. But he requires extensive map knowledge, game sense, good perks, good add-ons, and a decent map in order to do well against competent survivors.
I don't think the time investment to learn him and get all the tools needed to play him well is worth it. He needs a few buffs at least. But that doesn't mean you can't still have fun playing him.
Glad Im not the only one that is using the zombie add ons. Good point on the zombie speed though, hadnt thought of that. I was using one to increase their vision and one to increase their speed.

Because it's done, very likely, with the intention to upset you. It being successful or not doesn't really have to matter.
Lets take it this way: If in the endgame chat, someone started slinging some really rough slurs at you then is it okay for them to do that just because you personally aren't offended by it?
Ok but bouncing your pixelated ass up and down in the air is a far cry from slurs. Like, its a horrible comparison. They arent even close.
And yeah, if you arent offended by something who cares?

If he shoots someone through a railing or a series of large boxes, why is he suddenly able to ghost his chain through it? That should be a punishment, in my opinion, if he shoots through something he cannot drag people through. His rifle already injures people if they break it, so I think it seems fair if he punishes him when he fires through bad objects.
Theres a killer thats able to go invisible for 5 years and THIS has you baffled? Not the giant spider legs that come out of the sky. Not the giant demon samuri that can run at ridiculous speeds, not the ability for a person that was just strung up on a meat hook to get off, rib their legs a little and be just fine, none of that.
