I just bought Legion because I want to try him out. I already know that he's a weak killer and that his main power is just keeping the survivors injured. I've come up with different builds to maybe make it easier to play him. But I don't know what build it the most reliable. Most of the perks are just slowdown perks.

I'm a rank 5 killer with a peak of rank 3. But I honestly belong in rank 8 or something xd

I have no idea what's good on Legion. I just think that Thanatophobia would be good because he's good at keeping people injured. Otherwise I just mashed slowdown perks. Do you have any other build suggestions? Please let me know. Thank you!

Run Thrilling, pop, surge and Enduring. I run legion a lot and have a lot of success with it.

You can also switch out surge and enduring for mindbreaker and blood echo if exhaustion perks become a problem

I don’t get how this is a talking point. Friday the 13th used voice chat and it was fine. Just mute people who annoy you.

So a Ghostface downing the last surv, picking them up and carrying them to the hatch, closing it in front of them and T-bagging them until the match is over isn't toxic to you?

Thats certainly a di#$ move, id probably laugh though

So what about when a killer who downed a person who is crawling to the exit and is 2 feet away picking up the survivor and repeating said action until the time runs out? Is that not considered toxic? Define toxic as killers see it. I can tell you how frustrating it is when a killer does this. Either put me on the hook or let me leave. I ask because i have seen killers do this to me multiple times. I am never toxic to killers. So what could I have possibly did to deserve such trolling.

The situation you described isnt any different than survivors hanging out in the exit gates or on top of hatch till the killer shows up. Something 99% of survivors do. Sure, its annoying, but toxic? Feels to strong of a word. The messages i get from survivors are the only thing i see as toxic from that side.

I'm glad that you dont then ^^ Personally my mental health is too fragile to be able to take the laugh out of it (mainly bc its frequent in all games that allow crouching) but maybe eventually itll stop causing me to tilt.

Its not even a real tbag, its the same animation survivors use to say heal me, thank you and hello to eachother. Its pixels bouncing up and down together. Just smile, nod, and slap them :)

  • The problem with these stats is there isnt enough context. Who were those killers facing? What do the stats look like coming out of mmr? The fact that nurses kilk rates are so low shoukd tell you its noymt enough information.

I said I assume some people are trying to be #########, which some definitely are. Additionally, I could ask the same question, for a few of these (cause some are just not toxic unless a very certain situation) how would you know they're not trying to be #########?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2292879#Comment_2292879

Usually when it occurs to me its paired with a not so nice head shake or head nod, which to me is the killer equivalent of teabagging. Maybe its changed since I've played survivor frequently, but to me it's always sseemed toxic.

I dont see tbagging as toxic either. None of it phases me anymore. They are similar though, ill give you that

  • @Seraphor said:

Technically, the game is very balanced.

At the top end of the scale, it's survivor sided.

At the bottom end, it's killer sided.

Sorry if you're a killer in red ranks though, sucks to be you. It's balanced though.

The problem with this logic is if it were true then every killer would be red rank. They arent.

The way it actually works for the killer side is you hit a wall where you cant win any games or will lose most games until you figure out what that wall is and how to get past it. Before hitting that wall, yes its very easy. You'll hit multiple walls on your climb up the ranks.

Want to know the wall between purples and reds? The thing that seperates red rank killers and purple rank killers? Throwing the survivor rule book in the trash. Thats it. Thats the final wall. There are several walls before that, like learning loop patterns, learning how to split pressure, learning how to high your red stain, knowing when to snowball. The only time the game is killer sided is between these walls. Once you get past that last wall you hit rank 1, then you realize theres no more walls, its just survivor sided and you need rng and altruism in your favor to beat stupid good teams

  • @NoOneKnowsNova said:

    Like it depends on intent.

Loads of killers do majority of these just to be an ass, others do it within reason. For example I used to always hit Elodies to get rid of that horrible scream, which is understandable, but there are some people who do it to be asses.

Due to that, I find your title misleading.

Ive never understood this. I think its HILARIOUS smacking the survivor on hook. I laugh when i do it and when it happens to me. I dont know why, it never doesnt make me laugh. Why do you find it toxic?

  • The only thing a killer can do that i see as legit toxic is slugging all 4 survivors and letting them bleed out on purpose.

Survivors just the messages i get.

Other than that its all whatever

Oh I actually didnt saw your response, was my bad sry about that. Kinda hard to keep track of all answers beeing 95% of it just memes or triggered survivors mains. You are right even though I think noed is still abit stronger then exhaustion perks imo.

    Not really, let me explain.

Lets say the average chase to hit is 15 seconds.

So normal interaction is find survivor chase begins, 15 seconds till hit, 15 seconds to catch back up after hit, 15 seconds to hit. 45 seconds.

Add in dead hard. 15 seconds to get first hit, 15 seconds to catch back up, 15 seconds to get rid of dead hard, 15 seconds for 2nd hit. 1 minute.

SB: Find survivor and chase, about 10 seconds to catch up or so, 15 seconds to first hit, 15 seconds to catch up, 15 seconds to 2nd hit. 55 seconds (we can assume lithe is about the same).

Now with NOED: 15 seconds to first hit.

You see its just the inverse of what it happening with exhaustation perks. Exhaustion perks extend the chases about 15 seconds, noed reduces it about 15 seconds.

The difference is, i cant permanently disable exhaustion perks by cleansing a totem. Theres also 4 different survivors each with an exhaustion perk. 4 chases with dead hard and 4 minutes have gone by so at least 3 gens are done, probably more. Assume you chase each survivor twice before the last gen pops. Thats an extra 2 minutes of chase time you wouldnt have had to deal with, 1 survivor can do an entire gen in 2 minutes, 3 can do 3. Thats incredibly powerful. Noed on the otherhand only applies after the last gen pops. Lets assume you chase all 4 survivors. You shaved 1 minute of chase time off. Which is the inverse of chasing all 4 survivors once where 1 minute gets added.

Ye sounds reasonable. You are actually the first person in this threat that answers like a human beeing

I thought my response was pretty reasonable. As long as exhaustion perks exist which artificially extend chases, then noed is valid in its current for.

I don't like this fixation people have that every new killer needs to be A tier.

Nemi is solidly in the middle of the pack in terms of power. He's not as strong as PH, to be sure, but he's fun to play and I'm still winning 90% of my matches with him.

Also, with respect to Otz, I think Nemi's power is a bit more in line with Demo than it is with PH. I've found a lot of success with faking my power to make people dodge around for an easy M1.

If theyre not A tier theyre not much fun playing as or against in purples/reds. Why is their an aversion to strong killers?

  • Its only a viable strat towards winning if youre playing swf and all make your builds around it.

That said its still fun to do in solo sometimes. Ive gotten a few saves with it. Not everything has to be centered around winning, its ok to have fun even if it results in an L

  • @aliquis said:

He applied pressure even in the first minute. He chases survivors away from gens multiple times but does not commit until later, first real chase he switches the target after guy uses balanced landing to get to a gym. The killer correctly switches aggro to protect a nearly almost finished generator. But the ace runs to the shack and he knows how to loop.

The killer played fine, The main problem was that trapper without any iridescent addon is weak and new cornfield maps are busted. Tons of strong tiles (gyms,TL,shack,q tree) and then you have no vision because of corn. If he went to a chase directly from the start it would have made 0 difference, because 1 guys was already disarming his traps, so it would have been 3 survivors doing gens in either scenario, and you could see that some (the ace) was able to loop, which was enough. New cornfield with a weaker killer against good survivor is extremely in the survivors favour.

People forget that you dont pressure gens by chasing survivors off them, you pressure gens by forcing them off to pick up slugs or get unhooks. Chasing a survivor off a gen is almost completely useless especially if you dont get the down

  • @Th3Nightmare said:

Yes, I am playing trapper with very close to 5k hours, I am sure I have played without fail because I should be punished in this way? 1 player behind removing all the traps and 2 of them repairing or 3, the trapper can NOT do anything against this and the gens falling so fast is not fun.

They are forcing us to play strong killers and play boring games, tunneling and camping to avoid all this, AND I DON'T LIKE THE TYPE OF GAME.

I would like you to be civilized commenting, because I know that this does not happen "usually" but it happens normally ...

This is the game that you are focusing on doing BHVR? Well, I don't sign.

    https://youtu.be/vdCvZCeoxsI

At 2:18 you left chris to chase ace, that was a HUGE mistake. You really needed to down that dude.

Given that you left chris, while chasing Ace you should have reset the trap at the window instead of playing through it.

I also think you spent to much time placing traps. After tge 2nd or 3rd got undone you really needed to rethink what you were doing.

Once it got to that point, what you need to do was chase someone and get them down, forget the gens. Then place a few traps in loops really close to that hook. Pressure the survivors being overly altruistic (and they would have been in this game). In short, you needed to drag them into playing your game instead of trying to play theirs.

All of this is easy to say after the fact, I get how frustrating a game like this can be

Think about it. Run no perks and hook all 4 people and gain almost 70,000 bloodpoints. This would fix the grind but yet you still say it’s fine. DUDE!!? I just came up with a great way to fix the grind and you say no the perk is fine this would fix so many problems it would free up a perk slot and give you more points

I mean nobody would run bbq. You made it useless. If you remove the bps you need to buff the aura reading, not nerf it. Like 16 meteres instead of 40

  • @DontNerf said:

The issue with this is that you could farm with the killer/Survivors allowing you to get max BP in just a single game. It would ruin the economy of dbd

The grind right now is such that the economy is already ruined

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

What if they removed the stackable bloodpoint bonus and put it into the base game so at base when you hook all 4 you gain a 100% bonus to bloodpoints. Then the reworked version would be

After hooking a survivor all survivors auras are revealed for 4/5/6 seconds when they are further than 40 meters from the hook

Nobody would run that. Theres nothing wrong with how it is

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    TBH, BBQ is fine.

The only thing that irks me though is killers pretending that aura reading is useless when they pretty much depend on it when equipping BBQ.

That's like saying I only use Kindred to see where my allies are and not to see where the killer is.

Most good killers would run thrilling were it not for the bp boost. The aura reading IS nice, but its not the main draw

And if you take more than two seconds you'll find various theories out there that support it.

Alternate versions, as in alternate realities, where in one, Meg/Suzie was brought up by her father instead of her mother, fell into the 'wrong crowd' and was taken by the entity earlier, etc.

I saw that video, was very cool

  • Just to point out the obvious, they removed the dc penalty because the game is crashing for so many people right now. Mine has crashed 7 times. And in a couple of those I guarantee you the survivors thought i rage quit. I just wouldnt assume right now whatever the situation, it could have been a legit crash

4 survivors and 5 totems. It just takes a couple of seconds to do one. If everyone does 1 or 2, then NOED will never be a problem.

Meanwhile survivors can have 4x Adrenaline and there is nothing the killer can do to prevent them.

Or 4 dead hards, or 4 sprint burst, or 4 lithes, or any combination of that. Noed is fine

  • @BenZ0 said:

I really dislike this perk, it doesnt provide any fun interaction or gameplay. There is no skill or effort involved, its just for bad Killers to push their ego and get some cheeky easy kills even though they played bad.

My idea would be simiular like No way out. Hook every survivors once atleast to make it active once all gens are done.

If 4 survivors are alive when the last gen pops the chances of you getting more than 1 are pretty slim. So the skill with noed is not having more than 2 survivors alive when it pops. Only then is noed truly deadly. Pair it with bloid warden and youre playing the entire match with 2 perks. So if im able to get rid of 1 or 2 survivors befire the last gen pops, i dont see the problem.

Also sppok n jukes made an awesome video in defense of the perk, it was such a good argument i dusted noed off and started playing with it and am not the slightest bit sorry. Essentially, as long as exhaustion perks noed is balanced.

Why can killers gets a boatload of bloodpoints for playing like a douche but survivors can only get points if killers play in a nice and friendly manner? What is the point of survivors having options such as party streamers when it directly causes the killer to deny them? Every time there is more than one party streamer it is a large neon sign to the killer to slug everyone, camp, tunnel, etc. Just finished a match where the killer saw these offerings and he put on his mad angry cap and he actually got 26K and survivors about 5K-10K each. This is wrong. Bloodpoints should re-evaluated. Perhaps bloodpoints should be removed from the killer when they play in such a way so it promotes gameplay.

It helps when survivors dont suicide on first hook. Def get more blood points that way. Its rare i dont pull in 20k as a survivor.

Does it proc when a survivor goes to injured from Plague’s infection? If so, that would be amazing. Infect multiple survivors and anyone who chooses not to cleanse gets hit with Oblivious. That would add pressure and incentive to cleanse, giving Plague more Corrupt Purge and ranged attacks.

Yeah I'm gonna have to level deathslinger cause i'm tired of getting looped on this tile as legion or doc. I feel like doc should be able to counter it but by the time i get a shock off they've either juked it or are just going for the other window and waiting out the short action-lock

If you really find it that bad get bamboozle. Its an overlooked perk that can really mess with even good survivors

  • @MarcoPoloYolo said:

Oh yeah, forgot to add this. Survivor's egos. I'm sure many killer mains can relate that a lot of times, survivors think the killer player's a joke or they themselves are god tier just because the got to the last gen or completed them. As a result, they go for the most idiotic plays that allow a killer to immediately snowball because the killer is not, in fact, bad at the game. Survivors just had a stacked map and/or good spawns.

Yeah I can confirm this to be true

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the TL loop, it's increasingly one of the major headaches I have to deal with as killer. And it's on almost every original map. At least the imbalance in haddonfield is architecturally interesting, the TL loop is boring and also only solvable by the survivor making a mistake. If the killer doesn't know how to solve the loop it's functionally infinite. You should not be forced to look up youtube tutorials because of a single map tile in this game. It's bad enough playing killer with the insane amount of bully swfs in this game, but the TL loop gives them a huge tool to annoy killers with. It's literally stronger than the shack loop.

Please remake this map tile, it's the single most painful map tile to deal with as killer and it keeps showing up no matter where I go. At the very least quarantine it to coldwind since that's a lost cause anyway. I'm tired of solving this puzzle over and over.

Its actually pretty straight forward, just never give up the center. Its basically a 50/50 after one loop.

Actually it's kind of a poor choice on legion. It sounds really good but when a survivor is oblivious, they won't show up on your killer instinct when you hit someone with feral frenzy.

Good in theory but has anti synergy with Legion.

It's also not good on plague because most people never cleanse and it only works when someone who is healthy gets hit and you'll get use out of that as plague once or twice a match.

Also not good on stealth killers like wraith.

I'm really struggling to think who does well with this perk. Can't be stealth, can't have a lullaby, and has to be able to spread out injuries easily, but also allows survivors to heal.

I guess if you get a team that just refuses to heal it could be ok? Like sometimes i run coulorophobia + sloppy + distressing on doc, could work as a 4th perk. Might also pair well with forced penance if you happen to be running that perk and happen to to run into a body blocking squad, but then you also have to know right where that survivor is thats oblivious.

  • @Zokenay said:

I guess it would work better on a killer that can injure survivors easily, like Legion.

Since not having a terror radius on injured survivors can screw them over if they are desperate on a gen or too aggressive

Idk, the perk overall isnt that useful in my opinion, unlike the other two, one which is likely meta for some killers (Lethal Pursuer)

Yeah i was thinking about it and it would work way better if it caused all the injured survivors to scream instead. Like a tracking perk. And it would fit the name better

  • I dont care what happens to the rest of the natch, that person is not using the key

  • @miketheratguy said:

With various people saying that this map or that killer should be disabled and so forth, I decided to turn the frequent conversations into something that may be a little more fun. Imagine that you work at BHVR and you have one job: Deleting content that you don't like. You can't go crazy though, you are limited to this:

    One map. ONE.

One chapter set of characters. What I mean by this is, say that you want to delete the Twins. Elodie therefore has to go too. Say you want to get rid of Steve Harrington (how could you?), that means that Nancy, the Demogorgon, and all skins go with him. We're not talking about any of the bugs that were introduced with any of the chapters, we're not talking about any previous versions that may have been better before a nerf. We're talking about the characters and the characters only, as they are right now (or were before any bugs that were introduced with this update). For those who were available individually (such as Ash) or those that came with the base game (such as Trapper) you have to choose a member of the base game from the other side to be deleted along with them. Example: If you hate Nea, you have to delete either Trapper, Wraith or Hillbilly as well.

One perk. ONE. Killer or survivor, doesn't matter.

One game mechanic / gameplay feature. This could be the need to build up multiple perk tiers, or the existence of the hatch, or keys, or generator speed, or the ability of killers to camp, etc. Remember, we're not talking about changing or substituting anything, we're talking about looking at a list of things that make this game what it is and being able to press a button to make those things no longer exist.

So there you have it. You must delete ONE map, ONE perk, ONE game mechanic, and ONE set of characters that either came together in a chapter, or, if the character you want to delete didn't come with anybody else, you have to choose a base game character from the other side to be deleted with them. What would you choose? Please, try not to argue. This isn't about survivors vs killers or fair versus unfair. Balance doesn't matter. People losing out on their favorite things doesn't matter. This is all just a hypothetical scenario.

Yun jin and Elodies voices, i hate them

I have been trying to get some survivor challenges done today, played about 16 games so far, and in every match at least one has dc'd first down and in some matches two or more. Every single game.

Also what the heck is going on with all the hook bombing? Someone asked me on ps5 why I didn't unhook them. They were on their first hook, 10 seconds up, then dc'd. I then got a message that went similar to this.

Him - why didn't you unhook me

Me - because someone was looping right next to you and got downed. I was waiting for the killer to pick him up and walk away.

Him - I had ds obviously

Me - how was I supposed to know?

Him - because most people run ds.

Me - not as many sine the nerf.

Him - 3% less after the nerf. Still 63% run it, you should have known.

Me - so he would have downed you off hook, hooked the already downed survivor. You ds him, he tunnels you and hooks you again.

How was I supposed to know as a solo queue survivor what his perks were? Why are they trying to force me to become a part of the hook bombers. I wanted a safe hook rescue not a 'I'm farming you for points' unhook. I remember when hook bombing was frowned upon but it seems to have become a normal part of the game now.

I had a game about an hour ago, i hook steve, jeff immediately unhooks steve befire i can take 2 steps. Steve immediately goes back down before he can take 2 steps. Steve does not have DS. But im the tunneler apparently 😂

There are but in solo q, I see nobody countering it. It creates a snowball where killer hooks, uses bbq to go to next person, hooks them, comes back for person first hooked. Rinse and repeat. If it wasn’t a good perk then why do all killers use it?

Thrilling tremors is a better perk, most good killers agree with that i think. The aura reading on bbq is nice, but its mostly for the points.

As for the gameplay loop youre describing, thats called juggeling. What is it youre expecting from killers exactly? Its not tunneling. Its not camping. Do you expect every killer to hook each survivor in turn? 1 after the other? You realize that its virtually impossible for a killer to win like that right? So im wondering what it is youre expecting killers to do. Whats the game winning strat where nobody ever gets camped, tunneled or juggeled and never runs any gen regression or hex perks of any kind.

  • @van9684 said:

I would get rid of Noed or give it a massive overhaul. Rewarding killers end game who have played poorly is a broken feature and works against killers developing skill.

I would also say bbq and chili. Killer should see one players aura upon hooking another survivor.

which do you think need a rework or nerf?

The same can be said of exhaustion perks. Especially dead hard. Rewarding survivors for playing poorly is a broken feature 🤷‍♂️

With Nemesis you kind of really have to get someone out as fast as possible. He has no pressure at all (even Pyramid Head has pressure, with his ability to end loops fast) so the faster someone's out, the higher chance he has of scoring a 2nd kill.

This plus his basic perks kind of suck on their own and hes new so people may not have giod builds on him yet

what is the actual point? as soon as I see spirit i just kill myself on first hook and remake

theres 0 entertainment 0 fun in a 50/50 guess game (even worse if you haven't got iron will/they are using stridor

you can't outrun so it's completely based on how the killer reacts there's nothing you can do against her.

as long as the killer is not stupid there is literally no counter to her speed.

game of this, a game of basement camping trapper and a 3 gen hag... the older killers are beyond cheesy and boring to play against

Most of this game is 50/50 guess work 🤷‍♂️. Youre at a TL, you round a corner and look back, see the killers red stain. If you vault and hes moonwalking, you get hit. If you dont vault and hes not walking you get hit. Its a 50/50 on what hes doing. Any loop with a high wall is like this. Its literally no different since you cant see tge killer.

  • 7 + hooks, 3k or pip. Im happy with any of those

Survivor i dont care. I just play. Whatever happens happens

  • Resurgence is a good perk imo
