    1) No. It's not a secondary objective. It serve no purpose except cleansing Hex and activate some survivor perks.

    2) I dont care what the killer runs. My point is Noed is unfair against SoloQ and low elo players. Noed + BW is a meme and has nothing to do with the Noed complaints.

    3) Comparing Noed and Exhaustion perks is a "killer vs survivor" mentality nonsense. Both require balance, yes. But they wont be treated the same since they have totally different purpose.

You guys have to stop with this "if noed is gone, we must take dead hard in our fall". It's stupid and doesnt serve balance.

You guys should suggest solutions instead.

Example : Make noed a non-Hex token perk, 2 hooks = 1 token. Each token grants a one shot once doors are alimented.

This would reduce the frustration caused to survivors since killer would have to work to get it (devour hope mentality), and that would avoid for killer to have a blank slot if totems are cleansed.

    1) They are a secondary objective if the killer decides to make them a secondary objective. Since noed exists it behooves you to assume he has it unless you can figure out what his buikd is and do bones

    2) exhaustion perks are unfair against low rank killers that have no idea how to counter them

    3) they dont have different effects though. Exhaustion perks extend chases, noed reduces chases when its active or slows down gens if survivors cleanse all bones (giving the killer more of a chance to deal with all the exhaustion perks).

I really dont though, exhaustion perks and noed have the same effect on the game, if you want one gone then be happy to have both gone. Personally, id be fine if noed and all exhaustion perks were gone

You dont have to earn your exhaustion perk, you simply tap a button and the chase is extended 15 secs. Why does the killer have to earn tokens to use noed?

Are bad killers get bailed out by NOED, or are they not getting kills while the gens are up because they're short a perk or two? It's not always clear cut. Even if NOED does go off, the killer should only get one survivor at most if the survivors play it well. Works both ways.

On Freddy i sometimes like to run noed + blood warden + stbfl + bbq. Im a pretty good killer, not god tier but certainly not bad. In my experience there are games where i 4k befire the last gen pops, i was always going to win thise games, there are games where 2 survivirs are dead when the last gen pops, i woukd have won those games easily with 2 more perks.

Then there are games where all 4 are still alive when the last gen pops. This is where it gets interesting, some of those i for sure woukd have lost and unless the survivors are really silly bloid warden and noed do nothing but get me a 1k. Some of them woukd have been really close/good matches where a single mistake by eitger side coukd push the game.

RARELY does noed + blood warden net me a 4k if all 4 survivors are still when the last gen pops, but those moments are funny which is the reason to run this build.

My take away is RARELY is noed + bloodwarden the determining factor in the outcome of the game. It probably FEELS unfair to the survivors in those situations, but i only had 2 perks all game 🤷‍♂️

  • Screenshot_20210629-105731_Chrome.jpg

Of the 12 crashes ive had, this woukd have fixed 3 of them fir sure. Its something i guess 🤷‍♂️

Or, hear me out, I shouldnt have to use a perk in solo when I'm already in disadvantage when swf gets it for free.

The game isnt balanced around swf, its balanced around solo. Its why killers have such a hard time dealing with swfs. Using "swf gets it for free" isnt an argument because swf gets a lot of thibgs for free. Shoukd you be able to see all of trappers traps? Shoukd a hex totem become visible to all survivors as soon as 1 sees it? Should you be able to see the killers aura at almost all times.

Obviously the answer is no. Run small game or ignore noed altogether and just leave if the kilker has it.

Thats related to windows that are boarded up.

This isn't a nerf, it's hitting through windows that are not meant to be hit through - the boarded up windows etc. It's not regular windows that you can vault through.

Thank god, i was about to be upset 😅

As a killer main I never use Noed. I would be completely fine with it being removed. However if they were to remove Noed to compensate I would love it if they removed dead hard.

That's a perk that also rewards bad game play. You make a mistake you won't make it to that loop. Press E and you win.

I feel its the same as Noed. At least Noed can be stopped by cleansing totems. Dead Hard not so much.

Sprint burst too, youre just extending the chase by running straight. Lithe, balanced landing, all of them except maybe head on. Its all the same as noed

  • @Jago said:

Noed was made when Killers were in such a bad spot.

Compared to now, with all the regressions perks and optimizations we got, Noed feels outdated.

It is an overkill perk for new survivors and soloQ, because there is no incentive to do totems.

Look at the tutorials. You've seen a totem or something talking about hex perks ? Nope.

Totems are NOT a secondary objective. Stop with that narrative.

Totems are a simple way to counter powerful hex perks, and thats all.

If a killer applies pressure on a team of 4 SoloQ survivors, guess what ? You dont have the time to do totems / search all around the map for totems.

Noed is a relic from the past, and needs to be reworked.

Totems were added specifically to be a secondary objective, and noed gives incentive for survivors to do that objective.

If the killer is running noed, they gave up a perk slot for it. So they have less room for all those other perks you hate, theres also a high chance theyre running another end game perk too like blood warden, neaning theyre playing the whole match with 2 perks.

Every valid argument you can make about noed can be applied to exhaustion perks

  • @Wavy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2318686#Comment_2318686

I think NOED should only give a speed boost. I respect your opinion but i dont think its fair.

Noed is directly comparable to exhaustion perks, exhaustion perks typically increase a chase by about 15 seconds, and noed reduces the cgase by about 15 seconds.

The difference is noed can be invalidated by doing bones. Youre trading end game chase time for during game gen time when you do that. Which is why the best play is to ignore it. Do gens, if the killer has noed, let them have their 1k and leave.

If you want to get rid of nied then you also need to ditch exhaustion perks. I dont see either happening personally

  • @aroell said:

Many killers have lost the sense of kindness, all they care about is that 4K. They will do anything for that nowadays and it’s pretty sad how people can’t enjoy the game anymore. If people keep tunneling survivors will quit and soon killers won’t have anyone to play against.

People have been tunneling/camping for 5 years now 😂

  • Ez wins are boring. My favorite games are where 2 survivors are constantly working gens and the other 2 are putting up a hell of a fight. Even the bully squads are fun. The games that arent fun are when everyones dead with 3 gens left or all the gens are done and ive got 2 hooks. Booooring.

Any tips for running the killer? I've tried practicing, and sometimes I can but usually I'm good at just saving and gens and hiding.

I also can't help I'm red ranks. It's easy to pip without running the killer.

I feel you on the pip system, like i mentioned wasnt trying to be mean just pointing out the game is putting you up against killers you arent ready for yet.

Theres a few really goid videos that talk about some of the basics in looping. A lot of which is being able to judge the distance before youre going to take a hit.

Once youve got those basics from there its understanding each killer and how theyre going to utilize their power in a loop and how to counter it.

The biggest tip i can give without writing a dissertatiin, number one thing, if you are about to take a hit and are healthy, run straight. Dont drop a pallet during the speed up, dont 360 half your speed burst away, just run straight. It will take the killer 15 to 20 seconds just to catch back up and youre at another loop. Lets say youre bad, kilker gets first hit in 5 secobds, then spends 15 catching back up, then 5 getting second hit. Thats still 25 second chase. Not goid but ive seen way worse. I double tapped a feng earlier, entire chase was like 8 seconds for both hits 🤷‍♂️

WoO is a great perk, spinechill and the other one (starts with an R cant think of the name) can help with vault speeds.

    Anyway, good luck :)

  • @SkeletalElite said:

Anti totem perks suck. Looking for totems is bad.

best counter to noed is just to let him have his 1 noed kill and leave the match.

You can see this in comp, despite noed being very common there, players do not cleanse totems, instead they opt to spend their time completing generators faster and they will cleanse the noed totem after it's lit if they find it without risking themselves or they will simply leave the hooked player to die.

Anyways, I don't know why I bothered responding on this post, since it's a troll post, but I just wanted to share.

This is my exact feeling on it when i play survivor. Do gens, if he has noed, i just leave. He can keep the 1k. As a person that occasionally runs noed, its the worst scenario. If all gens get done and my noed is gone, fair enough. Whatever. But if everyone just leaves "why wont they play with me 😭"

So I saw others seem to be having the issue of tunneling and proxy camping. What do you do?

I'm not good at running the killer, though I try, DS doesn't do enough to stop them, and I just feel like the game isn't as fun anymore.

The past two days I've been tunneled more than I ever have, and I'm red rank. I have actually been DCing because I've been getting so heated.

Any tips? What do you guys do?

Get better at running the killer.

Not to be a dick but you shouldnt be in reds if you arent good at running the killer. Just being real with you, if i see someone is really weak at chase that person is prioritized. I wont tunnel them right out immediately, but theyre gone as soon as i need it to be a 3 man. Anybody can hold m1 on a gen, running the killer is what seperates bad/goid/great survivors. Because anyone can hold m1 its efficient to get rid of tge weak runners first so i have more time to chase the bad ones.

Proxy camping just depends on where youre hooked and how manu gens are left. If theres 2 gens left and ive got you hooked in the middle of a 3 gen, yeah, im patrolling thise gens while pressuring the hook. If theres 5 gens left and youre hooked in a corner no reason to stay there, this is why its advisable to try and lead the killer away from the gens if youre being chased.

Yea it's the best idea. It's just one people don't like to suggest because they know how bad it can be sometimes for a new killer to face an experienced survivor.

You need to pray the person doing it won't be toxic.

I did it for a buddy of mine. Id try and give the killers advice, most of the time they were receptive. Not always 😬

  • Thats the one thing i think is toxic a killer can do. I dont mean 4 slugging from the beginning, but purposefully letting all 4 bleed out is ######### up

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I hope you are not mad at Survivors teabagging you, in the end, they are just using the Crouch-Button "in a way its intended to be used".

Do the devs ever even bother doing anything about these kinds of players? I've been playing since patch 2.8.0 and people like this have always been around and been frustrating. I don't think a single thing has been done by the devs since I started playing to punish or discourage people from playing like this. I understand DBD can be a pretty toxic game and its just kinda accepted by the community, but their comes a point when it just starts being frustrating as all hell and I wish the devs would a put a little more effort into punishing people who do stuff like this. The same goes for leavers and with the DC penalty gone at the moment people are DCing more than ever. Am I the only who feels this way or does anyone else feel the same way?

Side note, this was a solo game and I wasn't tea bagging or being toxic. I almost have a 1000 hours in the game at this point so I can assure you this isn't my first time encountering people working together just at a point where I've had enough of people leaving and teamming and ruining the game for the rest of us, as killers or survivors.

I dont know what im looking at, how do you know they were "teaming" tigether?

I just had a game where i hooked steve. The game was over even with 3 survivirs and they knew it. I wanted to chase nea cause she was actually good and leon is 4 feet away trolling steve by pretending he was going to unhook while nea is looping me near steve. I bet steve thought we were working together too.

Of course i left nea and downed leon and shook my head no at him then killed him, but still bet steve wasnt happy with us

Just wondering if this would be considered a bug or not.

During a match as legion I lunged at a survivor pointing a flashlight at me while in feral frenzy and right as the hit connected I was blinded which made me leave feral frenzy and down the surv instead of applying deep wounds.

This is effectionately known as legion tech. Basically blinding legion while hes in ff cancels his power. Occasionally this hurts the survivor.

Wraith can have his power removed by flashlights, as can nurse and hag. Meaning we have no idea if its a bug or feature but its been in the game a very long time now and could be either

  • @Wavy said:

Survivor mains are starting to leave the game. This is because of the all strong killers and strong meta perks out there like Corrupt Intervention, Ruin + Undying, Tinkerer, Discordance, Bamboozle, Pop Goes The Weasel and more.

As for the killers people leave the game because of Blight, Nurse, Spirit, Huntress, Deathslinger and Hag ( basically all strong and unfair killers).

You can counter survivor meta EXTREMELY EASY. For example:

Borrowed Time; Go for the unhooker

    Decisive Strike; Dont tunnel

    Unbreakable; Dont Slug

    Dead Hard; Bait it.

Killer meta perks on the other hand are harder to counter.

You cant counter Tinkerer, you cant counter Pop Goes The Weasel, you can counter Ruin + Undying but it takes so much time. You can counter NOED but it takes so much time, you cant counter bamboozle.

As you can see there are a lot of survivor perks that can be countered so easily. but you cant counter most of the killer perks. Survivors are running out of resources and some survivor perks are nerfed already (Decisive Strike, Borrowed time etc.) These are the reasons why survivors are starting to leave the game. And honestly, I hope they focus on the survivors instead of the killers. Because killer perks are starting to get strong and killers are becoming so unfun and boring to play against (Especially Deathslinger). So yeah i hope they do something about this.

Tinkerer: do the gen to about 75% then leave the gen and hide, wait for him to come over, look for you and leave, resume gen. Unless he kicks it with pop its not going back below 70. Youll be fine.

Pop is countered by doubeling up on gens. Even triple up. Stop gen tapping too. I cant tell you how many times ive been able to double pop a gen because some smart ass gen tapped the gen and i downed and hooked his buddy 2 secs later.

If youre getting a lot of hex perk games, run small game + inner strength. Learn where the totems usually spawn. When you first get into the game, check the immediate area before getting on a gen. EVERY GAME someone spawns with in 10 feet of my ruin when i run it. They dont always see it, but its stupid rare for it to be in a good spot away from everyone.

Bamboozle should only work on you once. Once you know the killer has it, you know to vault the window and move to the next tile

Blight you counter by using his turn radius against him. Huntress you break los and juke the hatchets, nurse break los and juke the blinks. As much as people talk about how few great swfs tgere are, theres even less god tier killers. ALL KILLERS are countered by splitting up and working different gens and avoiding the 3 gen. You dont even need comms for that.

When you get good at this game (because clearly your kinda new) youll see you can usually run most decent killers for around 45 seconds. As long as survivors are working gens, thats 3 different gens that are beyond half way. 3 different survivors working a killer at 45 secs each with him needing to find people in between means its gg ez bebe killer. The survivors i play against usually run into troible because they get cocky when theyre up 3 gens and ive only gotten 1 or 2 hooks. Or they allowed me to keep my 3 gen. The most fun games are when were fighting iver the 3 gen and only 1 or 2 gens have been completed (meaning both sides are actually using strategy).

If survivors are leaving its because the mdta on both sides has become kind of stale, Not because the games to hard for survivors

Idk where your playing at but those times are not accurate for me. Survivor 30 seconds or less, killer 20 minutes. I'm east coast and only play between the hours of 5pm - 11pm and it's been like this for idk roughly 2 weeks maybe 3. Oh I know maybe it's because the game is broke? It's broke for killer too but you need less killers then survivors.

Im on east coast, i play between 530pm and 12am most days. Takes 30 seconds for me to find a game, 2 mins tops as killer. When mmr started things slowed down as it used to be instant, but that was mmr. Its stayed the same ever since

    Same 😂

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

I will give you one more piece of advice because I sense you might be reluctant to leave hooks (which is normal for new killers)

The game isn't so much about removing people from play as soon as possible (although that does help you to remove somebody from play), but about buying yourself time.

You see, your greatest friend as killer is time. The more time you have in the game, the more pallets will get broken and the more and more unsafe the trial gets for the survivors.

Every second a survivor is on a generator is time you are losing to beat them. Hooking somebody only removes one pair of hands from the generator. If you pressure nobody else and nobody comes to save them because you're there, you've got 3 sets of hands ticking away time on generators... taking time away from YOU.

However, if you chase somebody else while somebody has hooked, you have effectively pulled THREE people off generators and bought yourself time because you're chasing somebody, you got somebody hooked, and another person has to go rescue the person who got hooked.

So it's generally a good idea to keep yourself busy chasing and pressuring people off gens. Even if it means breaking off a hard chase to find somebody easier or to get somebody off a gen you see them on.

Remember, it takes 120 seconds for a first hook survivor to completely die... but only 80 seconds for a single survivor to do a generator from zero percent to completely finished.

That means a good survivor pressures the gens, and a good killer shoes them away. But still, if you got easy prey right there in front of you and they're freshly unhooked, don't be afraid to knock them down and put them back on that hook if you want. Especially if they have idiot teammates that rush the hook without the Borrowed Time perk.

Good luck in the fog newbie.

This is a good point. Lots of times juggeling 2 bad survivors is way more effective than tunneling 1.

Survivor basics such as having ears and listening. If a Legion frenzies someone and you even hear the hint of a terror radius coming your way then you run in the opposite direction. By the time he gets even remotely close to you his frenzy runs out. Its the easiest and most effective counter to Legion.

Its only potatoes who see the Legion frenzy someone and actually stay in the area who let him get mass injury on everyone.

Want to bet thats not what he meant by "legion is hard countered by survibor basics."

    1. Run to the corner of the map furthest away from other survivors when Legion uses his power and is chasing you.
    2. Start mending right in front of Legion. If the Legion is bad, he will cancel his power. If he does, begin looping him. If he doesn't, mend up.
    3. Do a 360 right before he hits you, this may cancel his power.
    4. Wait at a pallet after he uses his power and starts chasing you. Let him hit you, then drop the pallet. It will cancel his power, then you can loop him like normal.

***The best thing to do against Legion is stop him from using his power. Even if he downs you, after cancelling his power, it means that 3 other team mates didn't lose a health state. 5 health stats is worse than 2 health stats.
