When I have to slug, for instance when all the gens are done, I usually hook one survivor and wait until they get to the struggle phase and then hook others one by one. I remember the match when I hooked 3 survivors at once and the all kobe(ed) with no special perks, just a pure luck.
I usually don't have a chance to successfully slug at the endgame, but sometimes with Agitation, Mad Grit, SBTFL it works great
-
It won't change anything. After some time people would want to have that extra 33rd perk slot to also put Lightborn there

SWF groups greater than 2 needs to be shown to killer in the lobby.
The killer needs to get a 10% speed buff if 3 or 4 in the group are SWF
The killer needs 25% boost to recovery speed
The killer need 25% more BPs for playing a match against SWF.
This way, the same can still be balanced around low rank players and solo queue. But the SWF bully groups will have a harder time. (Even give the killer a 5th perk slot to add lightborn or another perk, but limit the 5th to only a handful or perks)
Sorry, but this is very unhealthy idea. Not all SWFs are those toxic bitches. I mean this happen to me from time to time when I get matched with sweaty toxic SWF who is preparing for next DBD tournament in North Korea, but on average SWFs are manageable without any extra buffs.

I think that just like apex, each killer gets 1-3 different mori's and you can favorite them and select random or just pick the one you like. I know it sounds like a lot but I bet you the community would really enjoy that.
I hope the game will get there in future. I really want to see more mori variations for a killer.
-
Wow, never seen something like that. So he dead harded, maybe because of some de-sync that was a hit for the killer, but miss for the survivor.
I've seen something like this with the plague's red puke, when you hear the hit, survivor screams, but they are not getting injured or infected

Self care, botany knowledge, inner strength, for the people when you are playing against the Plague
And the Plague plays with: Coulrophobia, Distressing, Theatrophobia, Sloppy Butcher

Yea, just meme’s, & gimmicks. No real strategy value. I’m just saying why have a useless offering? Maybe turn the Mori into a Mori hook? I have no idea what to do with it really, I suppose it’s just fun to play around with.
So we have:
* "Shroud of Separation"
* "Murky Reagent"
* "Hazy Reagent"
* "Faint Reagent"
* "Clear Reagent"
* "Cut Coin"
* "Scratched Coin"
* "Annotated Blueprint"
* "Vigo's Blueprint"
* "Strode Realty Key"
And you are still calling Mori offerings -- useless? How dare you?!
-
Eb. Mori are not that toxic powerful, unfortunately, but they still open a useful gameplay options. They can save u from the second hook DS, and also enable some options like killing the survivor at the open gates, killing the survivor in the face of the hooked survivor or transporting (with agitation) and killing survivors in the same place on the map, like making a pile of bodies. Those options above are still fun!
-
This could be a new AI patch. Now the game itself... or herself decides what's better for you :)

I am survivor main and i am usually playing as survivor (more fun for me). After update playing as survivor is not fun anymore... I am not gonna cry about hitboxes because devs already working on it. But there is worse problems than that.
After update i cant get better ranks... Before update i was playing purple or red but now i am always in yellow and green... Dont think i am not doing anything... I am fixing gen, sometimes chasing by killer, when i saw destroying totems bla bla bla... I am winning so much points but +rank? No.
And that started new problem for me. Always i getting worse survivors... They just dont know basic rules... They dont know looping, they are not fixing gens. Once in game i was on hook and ofc i waited for help and killer was not camping on me. But noone came to help me i just died. Dont think they were fixing gens. No! They were just walking and hiding... And another problem, dc'ed getting penalty so that usually works on people but not actually. When people down to killer, they just suiciding on hook for leave. And that's not giving penalty time. We are just losing numbers because of that. I dont know but game is not fair anymore...
And i turned to killer game. Because playing as Survivor imposible and annoying. Omg! Waiting for killer game takes to much time. I dont know how people waiting like that. I really respected killer mains, they deserving better games.
I just cried and told my problems on that post because DbD is my fav horror game. And i think i lost it after update. And i have not alternative because they worse than DbD. I hope devs solves all problems but i have not hope.
I agree with this statement. I still consider new UI really annoying, but I got used to it a little bit. Long killer queue times really surprise me during the day time. They are better during the night time. A lot of collision bugs on almost all maps. And today I've got ruthless killer and ranked up to rank 4 on the endgame screen, but the game did not registered this rank up and in the next lobby I remained at rank 5. Sadge

Just a really quick question, I've had many killer swings that should've hit but didn't despite be being in a fair range to get a hit.
Is this known and is gonna be fixed with the second hotfix?
Just wanted to make sure this is also gonna get fixed as it makes killers who get very last second hits like wraith incredibly frustrating to play.
I am often experiencing this issue while playing Plague. When I am doing full lounge on running straight survivor at distance that definitely should hit (I've played a lot before the patch, I know the distance), but I am getting a miss. On my screen I definitely see the vile definitely touches the survivor, but the hit is not getting registered. On the other hand, when I play legion, I could hit survivor a mile away.
-
I probably bought Lori + Mookel Myers DLC right after playing this game for first 30 hours. This is an essential perk.
I believe the majority did the same thing. And anyone who wanted it -- already has it.
I have wasted too much time before buying Bubba for BBQ. Old Bubba wasn't great at all. But the current Bubba is fun and it is the best investment for killer mains.

As a killer main I don't enjoy the gameplay now after the update.
The survivor animations look like I am chasing a headless chicken jelly.
Hitboxes work against me. I've tried to get those 10 miles away hit, but instead they manage to drop a pallet 10 miles away and stun me.
Really, decided not to force myself into playing this game even though there is an event in progress. I am gonna wait for the fix, and launch the game just to collect those 50,000 BP
-
New better UI would not be a problem to me. Thing is -- this new ui is much worse. Animations... when injured survivor is running it seams like they have pooped in their pants... or worse... like someone else had pooped in their pants. I just cannot think about anything else when I see it.
-
I believe those new old pants are less smelly than the old old pants, according to the description

I know programming a game can be hard. But you'd think when it's your life work you'd put all your hard work into making gameplay functional and run well. Behavior is struggling with that. So can someone explain what's it like programming and making a game. So there's a slim chance I can see why the devs are having a hard time.
Sure thing. But this won't happen in one evening or so, so if you are ready to try -- go ahead. You might get bored, confused and overwhelmed during this learning time, but if overcome this unpleasant feelings -- you might not only understand how the games are being made, but also learn a valuable skill and may be find yourself a high paid job and buy all the games you want!
DBD is written with Unreal Engine and C++ programming language. This combination gives the developers a great performance optimization options, but has a high entry bar.
There are simpler and more beginner friendly options, like Unity 3D Engine and C# Programming language.
You would need to download and install:

Killer DO LOBBY Dodge When you feel like it. There is no need to play around the keys. This makes you game unfair from the beginning.
And you might won't enjoy, save you time. Dodge the lobby.
Do you see 4 man with toolboxes? Do you want to loose 2 gens in first 15 seconds of the game? Why? Dodge the lobby.
Did them burn Haddonfield, Badham or Midwitch offering? Why would you play on the map where you might have a disadvantage?
Just kill the game process on the loading screen. It won't apply DC penalty.
DODGE THE LOBBY!
LET THEM WAIT!
DODGE THE LOBBY!

Self care is for bad players who'd rather waste 1 minute healing instead of doing a gen. I'm not gonna use 2 perks slots so i can still heal slow on an already 3 perks slot game since kindred is just a must.
This is up to you what perks you'd prefer to use, but please don't say "self-care is for bad players". This is not true. Yes, bad players may use self care, but not all self care users are bad. Please remember that botany knowledge not only speeds up the time you heal yourself, but also speeds up the time you heal others. Kindred is not "must", but its up to you.
-
@Marigoria said:
Honestly as a solo player I'm kinda worried about the fact that people wont want to heal me so they wont lose their DS.
So you have self care + botany knowledge! In solo queue I run DS only because I want to be sure there is an obsession perk in the match. It does not do much for me, as a solo player.
On the other hand, as a killer, there were multiple occasions when I hooked Surv1 (in full health at the beginning if case), than chased and hooked Surv2, also in full health at the beginning, in the meantime Surv1 got unhooked and fully healed, I returned back to the gen, chased Surv1 again and got 59th second DS.
-
I've played Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor 2. VA is fun at the beginning, but than it gets really annoying.

devs already said. sitting in the corner not doing gens is holding the game hostage
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/G8DS37HMG4NE/hostage-png.png
and holding a 3 gen isn't.
simple as that.

@6yXJI0 said:
Yeah... They need to make something to force two last survivors to do gens, or something else. I also experienced this and it was really frustrating, cause survivors were hiding really good and refusing to even come close to gens. I mean, they kinda don't have a choice, because i had a 3 gens very close to each other. Its (Survivor vs Survivor) vs Killer at this point.
Something must be changed. Maybe with Key change we will get a big gameplay update like with EGC. That update changed alot and finaly got rid of hatch standoffs, which technically were a hostage situation.
@Dabihwow said:
Same thing happened to me when I was trying to get adept Freddy, I came really close until two survivors hid from for 10- to almost 20 minutes straight, I searched and searched but couldn't find them. Eventually I remained idle and they still didn't touch the gens, forcing me to then DC. and report them
Thank you for sharing your stories

@Incurable_BOFA said:
Saying this takes the game hostage starts a bad precedent. When do we start calling stealth players griefers simply because they're playing a certain way? It might be boring and tedious to look for a longer amount of time than hoped but you had nothing stopping you from looking for them other than your lack of patience, that's the reality.
Do you really think hiding for more than 10 minutes and not doing objective is a good game practice?
Please understand, they did a coordinated action, hiding, for 40 minutes to make the killer DC. Is this fair they managed to escape while I was IDLE? Or should I look for them for that forty minutes? Do you personally think hiding and not doing the gens is the main game objective?

You’re assuming they’re a 3 stack because....they’re on the same platform ???
That situation sucks sure but it’s not taking the game hostage and players shouldn’t be punished for it. Plain and simple.
You’re assuming they’re a 3 stack because....they’re on the same platform ???
I've took this screenshot after 20 minutes of them being IDLE. 2 Cloudlets were in the game hiding. And the third one Meg was observing the match. Notice the ping value. When you see ping value -- it means the "player" is still there. The Meg was there entire time. And yes, they are on same platform. And they played like SWF -- taking hits for each other, but not for the 4th player.
-
It is Sunday's night! Everyone is drunk!
-
Or maybe some people here are sure this game -- is actually a hiding simulator. Maybe you are right.
-
Some people here probably do not realize how annoying this issue is or have never faced the situation like this.
I'd assume they haven't experienced this before or always run Whispers and Iron Maiden. I don't want to wish them to stuck in this situation, but maybe when this happen to you -- you would get it.
This was a coordinated 3 stack SWF. I did not have Whispers in this match. And they definitely know where to hide. So, would anyone suggest any strategy how to find 2 remaining SWF blendettes on Ormond?
Why 3 stack: here is a screenshot I've took during the match when they were hiding:
Those blendies were on the death hook and they were upset I've killed their friend, so they decided to cowardly make me DC just by hiding and not doing the objective. This situation should not happen.
-
I actually enjoy when this happens. When someone DC -- they get punished with -1 pip, lose the bloodpoints and get DC penalty.
This just confirms you are a good killer.
-
No Mither is a meme perk, nothing should be changed IMO except maybe blood points bonus as suggested above.
I use it for fun sometimes, paired with Unbreakable, Tenacity it gives you a chance to pick-up yourself faster. It also fits well with Dead Hard and Resilience or even with "This is not happening"

Midwich is a licensed map like Haddonfield, so I'm sure it will be a hassle to get it fixed.
Well, Devs could start from removing some (maybe all) lockers from the second floor and reduce the number of pallets, which are not the parts of Silent Hill franchise. Like in the Game's meat plant.
Another thing is, I don't know if every hole in the map is also licensed, but they could make more holes in the walls and between floors so that, as a killer, I don't need to go to the corner of the map to go upstairs and allow the killer to traverse map by diagonal through the yard in the middle. I am not sure about this first part of the following clip, but did PH came through the wall or closed door to the yard?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnaAM4mHzEY
To be fancy, this probably will never happen, but I would like to see those huge cockroaches, which could somehow tell the killer where the survivors are.
-
@Caleegi said:
I think the Midwich map is cool to play on and look at, i mean it looks amazing and i love the clock feature. Yeah it sucks for both survivor and killers but i think it will just take more practice. Afterall, all indoor maps kinda suck but look the coolest. I'd just get used to it.
I would agree, I believe the majority would agree Misdwitch visual design and some additions like clock and jump scare body are great.
The thing, unlike other indoor maps, it is miserable to play as a killer. I have no issues playing it as a survivor, like Haddonfied for instance.
In Midwitch if you are 2 person SWF and you are using Object of Obsession, you can tell your team mate to hide in the locker and just run around the map. You will win. I had that experience as a killer and ran for 20 minutes as Plague. And angy DC then. You cannot do this crap on any other indoor map.
Also, as a killer you cannot go from the corner to corner by diagonal, you have to move around the entire map.
Sure, people could recommend using Whispers, Iron Maiden, running Wraith or Scratched Mirror Myers, Freddy, Spirit or even Demogorgon would perform well on this map, but what about other killers?
When I see the Midwitch offering in the loading screen, I usually kill the game process. Only exception is if I am playing one of the killers above or a good anti-stealth build

As much as I am against MMR, I sometimes would love to be matched to same survivors to finish the unfinished business :D
-
I still bet they would fail MMR miserably. My plan for MMR matches would be playing all killers in round robin manner, I did this a week before the old MMR had cancelled, and at least I had some fun switching killers. Yep, I've even played trapper, clown and even nurse who I struggle to play as.

Myers is a serious tough man, who often gets the job done. His sole presence makes your "spine chill" run away from the perk slot. He is like Darth Vader in star wars, except that Darth Vader himself would run away and cry if he sees Myers in tier 3.
Ghost Face is just a comedian.

I just wanted to summarize a bit,
This post is about running NoED more often to remind survivors the perk exists in the game and for instance, they could try to find and cleanse some tots instead of just holding M1 the entire match
NoED won't turn you to a bad killer. Try to do your best and become better during the match
Take that one kill during the end-game, so at least you'd get a hope to get a Brutal Killer if have struggled the entire match. When I start match on Haddonfield, for instance, I already feel I am loosing the game.
-
@Moundshroud said:
There absolutely is nothing wrong with running NOED. Do I run it? No, not that often. That is because I don't have room for it. Never once did I say survivor second chance perks were okay or good. Second chance in general is annoying. Play well so you don't need them or get better without them. It's not that hard assuming matchmaking isn't broken.
No one says killer have to be playing worse then usual if they use NoED. Just play as good as you can, no need to stand in the corner until all gens are done. But if the team is coordinated and very efficient in doing gens -- well, NoED would not hurt.
-
@ProfGameAndTalk said:
I'm 130 hrs into the game and I run NO SHAME NOED. I also consider it a given that there will be an EGC and I will have survivors trying to escape at the end. As I have gotten better, there are some builds on Spirit where I don't run NOED. I'll use it less as I get better at the game.
But I'm not there yet!
When you have 130 hours, I would definitely agree -- not running NoED is a good idea, which let's you become better and chases and predict where survivors are. But, there is NO SHAME in running NoED either. Yep, I also thought it is a shame at some time, but after plating for some time I have changed my mind. Again, if someone shames you for running NoED in the game chat, you could shame all of them back for running any second chance perks
-
@Grimm120 said:
As someone who mains both sides at red rank, no. "I also think we need more NoED killers, just to remind people: we have this perk in the game and the killer will take one or more lives at the end game unless you cleanse the tots." If you need a perk to almost guarantee a free kill or more already at the end game then you're not good at killer and need to get better without using a perk like that.
Same thing about second chance survivor perks. Survivors made a mistake in the loop -- ez press e for dead hard and extend the loop for next 30-40 seconds. Got unhooked? -- You have DS, just go and work on the gen in front of the killer and then jump into the locker. How many second chance perks do survivors have? Maybe multiply them by 4?
How many second chance perks do killer have? Like 2: NoED and Blood Warden? Sure, killer with second chance perks are bad, survivors are good.
