Unfortunately, the map is licensed, I am not sure, but I think this requires extra time and effort to do any changes, even add breakable walls... or a breakable fence maybe, or just a hole in the fence...
Devs have added breakable walls to Badham, which is Freddy's map, so I have hope.

I honestly don't give a ######### about No ones even dead yet.
But, for God's sake, pick one. It's that ruin, pop, bbq noed ######### that drives me crazy.
Play slow down or play end game. These stacked, sorry, is a crutch.
Okay, ruin, pop, noed can be strong in some cases,
but why would people still complain about BBQ? This is mostly a perk for bloodpoints.
Oh yes, it also shows survivors' auras... so instead of camping the hook, killer can go and work on survivor on the gen... or, yes, camp the hook if the killer did not see auras -- this means the survivors are hiding somewhere withing BBQ range.
As a survivor, I'd rather prefer killer to find me rather than camp/tunnel that guy on the hook (because chase, pickup and hooking wastes killer time, even hook distribution is one of the best strat to survive).
I've seen many times ppl complain about "Oh, BBQ" in the game chat... like why?

I actually love sending myself as Billy to midwich. Blight as well. You can’t curve too many of the loops but he gets through the halls so fast and most of the loops are so unsafe it doesn’t really matter; especially if you know you are going there and make your build for it.
It’s only bad when they are holding W away after seeing you at the end of a hall and you have no ability to catch up. Other than that midwich is very killer sided and probably my favorite map in the game.
I agree, if you are prepared for the map -- this changes (almost) everything ;)
My "safe" build on Billy would be Bamboozle, SBTFL, Brutal and BBQ + Father's Boots. On Midwitch I can use some chainsaw sprints, not sure about RPD
-
This would require some additional expense on storage, dev work and maintenance and won't generate any money.
But who knows, maybe someday devs will implement this. After all, they have reworked tutorials that let you play with bots.
-
I don't like indoor maps in general -- they give a huge advantage to some killers and nerf the powers of others.
Like playing Billy on RPD, Midwitch or Lery's gives me miserable experience as an M1-only killer. On the other hand Trapper, Myers, Nemesis are strong there.
RPD looks kinda cool for a few matches.
-
MMR Last year was total garbage, but this year's test -- I see a huge improvement. This is good they took the time to test and improve the system.
-
I kinda hate to play against Doctor as a solo survivor, but like to play as Doctor, so fun!
-
What I do:
1 Configured OBS and keep it ready for recording (no need to always record, since this might affect the game performance); OBS supports Hot-keys to Start/Stop recording
2 Publish those videos (unlisted) on youtube and paste the URLs in reports
3 Use software to workaround non-existing clipboard copy/paste when I need to paste video url or text
With Autohotkey it can be accomplished with:
^b::SendInput {raw}%clipboard%
4 Save hacker/cheater profiles and steam ids for a future reference
-
but it also appears that the Entity cannot prevent survivors being dragged to Hell when he gets the Mori (unless this is a hallucination Pinhead is subjected to)
My personal opinion: the survivors are being dragged to the next lobby. I am not gonna say the Entity's dimension is heaven.
-
" Also if we think about the moris you can go the whole match without touching it, but he'll still send the moriable survivors to hell anyways. Now how is that fair? If he could do that the whole time why even care about the box in the 1st place?"
===
In Hellbound: Hellraiser II Pinhead says:
"It is not hands that summon us. It is desire."
So survivors who are in the match already... Haven't they come there with a desire for suffering?

I tried to play nice and "survivor friendly"... But it just doesn't work. I can't afford 4 people to sit on gens. Survivors are not playing "killer friendly", they are just pushing gens without even healing. Especially these SWFs are completely destroying me.
Maybe it is also because I play weaker killers like Trickster. Sometimes it takes a lot of time until I manage to down a competent survivor. And if they run to the shack, I am usually just forced to give up the chase, because the gens will be flying.
Anyway... I just start to hate this game.
Anyway... I just start to hate this game.
This is what happens to me all the time:
- Played as a "nice killer" one match -- the life is great. Had a lot of fun.
- Tried a new killer or wanted to run some non-meta -- got destroyed by survivors.
- Loaded as Billy on Haddonfield against sweaty SWF team -- start to hate survivors
- Got one more disappointing match... started to tunnel and camp
- Tunneled for 5 games in a row -- no fun, waste of my time -- I hate this game
- Took a break for few days
- GOTO 1
I think it is fine to camp and tunnel survivors while at least you are having fun or it is a part of your strategy or when it is necessary.
Camping and tunneling are the parts of this game, like 2-locker headons, SWF on comms, flashlight saves, flashlight blinds while you are breaking pallets, and so on. Only once an SWF survivor apologized for using a key and get 3-man escape in the game chat... and I've played over 2000 hours in DBD ;)
Main point -- if you are not having fun -- take a break ;)

Im guessing the influx of new players has more to do with it than anything as new killers tend to play the scummiest and the killer queues being longer than usual plus the new chapter would seem to support this theory.
All the red and purple rank killers ive seen since the event started have been playing normally, its the yellow and green rank killers that seem extra toxic.
On the flip side, you wait for a longer queue time... yes this is super annoying
and you get a bad map and you survivors who per-drop all pallets during the chase... and almost all pallets are save... and 3 gens are already done with toolboxes and BNP.
I have switched to Doctor to earn BP and level up my brand new Spirit
-
I am not a console expert, but I have discovered Trapper now is quite fun to play, especially on Midwatch, where you can put a trap in the middle of hallway and shortly catch someone.
Dead Dawg Saloon with the traps in the grass is quite fun. I usually don't chase the survivor directly, but rather leading them to the trap.

5 games in a row I had a SWF who went around rushing gens everywhere and then just left their teammate on the hook. The next 3 games after that the SWF I faced all gen rushed, ignoring survivors on hooks all game. Survivors are intentionally trying to ruin games to make people quit right now and the devs do nothing about it. Something needs to be done
I have a peace of advice for ya!
Be positive. Stay calm. This is just a game -- you lose when you do not have fun.
Personally, I have failed and end up tunneling those gen rushers...
-
Honestly the amount of grind is horrible. I cannot now afford buying or redeeming the killer just because of the exponential amount of grind.
I wanted to buy Nemesis. And I was prepared for the grind. I have accumulated 1,000,000 bp in my checking account and 2,000,000 in savings in 3 past rifts. And 90,000 daily's. Guess what? After spending all that bloody BP -- I did not get BBQ. Even level 1 -- just no BBQ for you.
I wanted Nemesis to make money on his own, but no. Now he has to live in HillBilly's basement and let Billy make BP. Goddam I just want to play a killer with the perks I already own.
-
I personally enjoy the gen guarding Billy:
Run double steering addons (Dad's boots + Spiked boots)
Perks: Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Brutal Straight, Overcharge
Game Strategy: Sprint around the gens and kick all gens that are being worked on. You can hit a survivor to get them out of gens, but don't engage in chases (that's a waste of time), just run to another gen.
Depip is not 100% guaranteed. Sometimes you get a pip. The final 3 gen battle is the most exhausting. Once I've fought for 20 minutes for last 3 gens with 4 survivors alive. I've lost.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
What are your preferred builds? I'm still leveling her but am finding her surprisingly fun.
from my favorite standalone perks (not a part of some specific build) I prefer:
Brutal Straight -- really helps with pallets, works well with Enduring. Also, sometimes healthy survivors won't touch an infected gen, so sometimes it is good idea to damage the gen in mid chase
Corrupt Intervention -- helps not to lose gens and sometimes gives you an idea where are the survivors, since they often spawn at the corrupt area.
Monitor and Abuse -- confuses many survivors and let's you puke on them while they are still doing gen. Good with "Infectious Fright" to get the idea where other survivors are. But I am not using Infectious that often on Plague.
Discordance -- really helps to find multiple targets, but not always
Bamboozle -- surprisingly helps a lot, not all the time, but with some nasty loops
BBQ -- Obviously, works well on all killers
Addons:
Double cooldown is amazing, I prefer to use "Potent Tincture" + "Incensed Ointment" over other addons when I have enough of those
"Black Incense" is good with everything
For "Iridescent Seal" you probably need a build, like Corrupt -- to disable gens far away and infect all others, Thickener to sneak to the gen that is being done, Cruel Limits to block the vaults in the area and Bitter Murmur to see the survivors aura. Good meme build.
Full Totem builds:
Ruin + Undying or Thrill of the Hunt + Retribution + Devour Hope + "Black Incense"
Ruin + Huntress Lullaby + Retribution + Devour Hope + "Black Incense"
Meme Builds
With "Saver the best for last", "Mad Grit", "Agitation" and BBQ I was able to rank up from Rank 5 to Rank 1. Just hit a survivor when they are not yet fully infected to get the SBTFL stack and don't reveal Mad Grit by spamming M1 at the beginning of the match. Not 100% guarantee, but it is fun to down 2-3 other survivors while you are carrying one already.
"A Nurses Calling"... because who would expect Nurses on Plague? -- but you need survivors who would often cleanse and stop infecting them once you get enough corrupt pools. Pairs well with "Devotee's Amulet" (corrupt duration) + "Worship Tablet" (corrupt speed) or Double cooldown.
Plague is my favorite killer so far.
-
I am not sure why people want to nerf perk to the ground. DS must work in the endgame. If you saved it -- you can use it.
Yes, I've been hit by DS in the EGC and the survivor escaped, but they paid the prize of one perk slot and got rewarded by playing it well. Why would I complain about that? It is fair.
-
In case of Mr. X -- he would have 2 perks from Mr. Myers as his base kit:
Judith’s tombstone and vanity mirror
What a great deal!

There are about 81 perks in this game for killer. And each has 3 levels so you'd need to grind out 243 perk levels to finish a killer. There are 19 killers. If I did that math right, that's a whopping 4,617 perk levels. The amount of blood points required to p3 max out a killer or a survivor is ungodly.
There needs to be a rework or work around to make this a little more tolerable. Even an incentive to max out a character would be nice. An incentive to prestige them. Hell anything to either make the grind better or at least more rewarding.
You don't need to buy all killers at once and max them up ;) The only killers that are worth to buy is Cannibal, Plague and Clown because of their perks and I personally enjoy playing Plague and Cannibal. Clown is better now, but not super strong. Then max out the killers you have if you really want P3, and buy other killers one by one. Also Shrine of Secrets in the store, sometimes gives you good perks, for instance I have all Hag and Spirit perks already, so I don't need to redeem/buy those killers.
-
I've been thinking to use those slides to my advantage in the chases, but they are too inconsistent

No need to sorry. This forum, "general discussion" is actually "general complains". Every one complains about everything here, so you found the right place. I am not kidding, really. So if you feel better after starting a topic or commenting something -- you are in the right place.

I really enjoy this bug! No need for enduring! Finally enduring is a base kit for all killers!

I have uninstalled the game because of this and now and after I post this message I am gonna uninstall Google Chrome and never got to the Internet and this forum

My only problem with Myers is slow game start with T1. It is kinda sometimes cool because you could grab a survivor of gen, but I don't remember when that happened last time.
Killer without addons is too weak.
Killer with addons -- is OP. I like his OP addons, so I would rather not strive to update the killer, remembering the last Billy rework with useless new addons... meh

Not only that but SWF is gaining the system by always having at least one purple rank in their SWF while the rest are red rank. Just had a match where I faced off against three red ranks and one purple while I’m rank 12. I DC’d cause honestly I’m fed up with it. They raged at me saying why didn’t I play. I stated I’m not playing a match that is stacked unfairly against me. You all outranked me. They countered that’s not true cause we have one purple rank so that’s fair. It’s not. Not to mention they were all on comms. I should have known better than to even give a Twitch streamer a chance, I figured maybe he’s just streaming solo. Of course they never do. I watched his stream and of course he was telling his friends where I was, where to lead me, tell them which gen to work on, etc etc. I’m tired of Seal Team 6 sweat squads. It’s not fair. It’s really not. Devs are doing this on purpose I feel like. They want to give survivors low rank killers so survivors have a more enjoyable experience and less of a challenge. I’m sick of it. I’m not playing that way. Either fix the matchmaking or I’m DCing from now on.
My Green Rank Apprentice,
Your anger, your hatred makes you more focused, more powerful. Choose your best killer, use your best addons, tunnel and camp. Bring NoED just in case.
Put the fear into them and make them suffer! This is the only way you discover the true nature of the force.
Honestly, there is no controversy why red ranks keep purple rank in the team. This person will pip eventually with this kind of team. And probably that purple rank does not play a lot of DBD. I've been through what you have described. The cure here is not to give a lot of f*сks about the game. This is a great opportunity to to learn the game in a hard way. Instead of watching TTVs trash talking you for their 2 viewers, I'd rather watch some youtube vids or streams from killer streamers like Otzdarva, TrU3Ta1ent, OhTofu, Umbra, Bronx, Ryuga and others. I did this and greatly improved my playstyle.

Yep, depending which killer I am. I walk to the exit gate and face it. Once all gens are done I will force the door open and go to the basement and sulk while watching videos XD
Would be nice if after some potential rework, they could put some TV in the basement with random cat clips from youtube

Haddonfield is a huge problem. I am looking forward to see when this house is gonna get finally sold.
Last game I had a really bad rng as a killer on the house with a gen at the corner with 3 opened windows on the second floor and 2 on the first one. I literally cannot do anything there.
Before the Object of Obsession nerf, I also had some Midwitchphobia, but now Haddonfield is the only real killer horror map to me.
-
Bye-bye old DS!
-
DS is now in a healthy state, finally. It still has it's annoying plays, like locker DS, but at least now killers are getting less punished for playing the game well and the perk is now less abusive. How many times I had hooded one survivor, chased and hooked another one, returned to the gen to find a healthy survivor working on the, downed him and got DS? Am I tunneling?
At least now if I got DS -- then it is deserved. Same thing for tapping the gen. If you tap gen -- you stop it from regressing and that's benefits the team. So it is clearly fair to stop the DS.
Being invisible for the 60 seconds was never a healthy or fair game, especially when killer plays against 4-3 stack SWFs. Most of the time they not showing you their good skills, but rather "outplay" you by using BT, DS, DH and Unbreakabill

You guys took an extra week with trickster and didn't fix any of the problems people had with him. Why? Most of the community thought he was weak. Why was that feedback ignored?
On one Q&A stream, I don't have a link to, BHVR explained they always take more time even to fix some serious but non-critical bugs. They are aware about them, but won't delay the release. I believe the issues are gonna be addressed. They watched how people play The Executioner and made a change. They tried to fix Blight's POV, but as results it bugged all other killers. So they did the change now. So they gonna watch for several months and update the killer.
The killer is playable. Not the strongest one, but playable. This is a free (with shards/your playtime) killer, so I wouldn't complain much.
I personally won't buy him just because I am not a big fan of playing range attack killers and I have Huntress and Deathslinger in my queue already.
-
I've been playing this game since 2019. With 2011 hours on the record. During all this time I have not found anything useful in the game chat. There was no single case when survivors wanted to give me any good advice or say something useful. Instead most of the time someone complained about how could I kill them or advice me to kill myself. That was the times at the beginning of my killer career. At the beginning it wasn't pleasant at all. So I believe it would be much better for the game to remove post game chat at all.
Of course, now after some time, I've grown a thicker skin. I have opened my steam profile for public comments and really enjoying reading new ones. Now I think those comments are supper funny and I am collecting them. But for the benefit of the newer players, I would rather just remove the post game chat.
-
I like this perk. Memes aside, together with SBTFL, Agitation and some survivor altruism, Mad Grit sometimes gets me 4K at the end game. Just get SBTFL stacks and don't reveal Mad Grit on the first survivor you are caring.
-
I guess it is a click/follow bait. I don't see anything. WeirdChamp

Cause for sure I am not spending real money for the trash the twins are and even less for trickster, keep going and you'll lose even more money, make good content and you'll get money, that's how it works.
I've spent $20 on crappy Ghostface outfit plus more skins just to do the outfit bug. If they are not making money on new chapters -- they are definitely making a ton of money on bugs.
-
My suggestion would be:
For every survivor in SWF team -- reduce the number of hooks required to sacrifice to the Entity by 1:
2 Survivors SWF: 2 hooks
3 Survivors SWF: 1 hook
4 Survivors SWF: A random survivor dies at the beginning of the match. then see "3 Survivors SWF" above
The hook penalty also applies to solo players. Because, who cares?
-
SWF or not SWF must not affect the game mechanics. Not all SWFs are using comms and some SWFs are not that hard to play against.
It depends. If you really want a speed boost -- use play with your food + nemesis + noed.
I would definitely agree if they add an additional reward for the killer playing SWF after the match and indicate "friends" in the lobby, so the killer would know whom they are playing against.
This MMR change when you cannot switch the killer is a huge disadvantage. For instance, I would definitely switch killer to the one I main when I smell a SWF team in the lobby.

- you forget it's even coming out until day X
- you say "cool, what is the next chapter" after seeing the killer, survivors and their abilities.
- you don't have bloodpoints capped + 8000 shards by the release of the chapter
- you are more hyped for the buffs&nerfs it brings
- there's no new map or even graphical update
- when even a fixed bug is a more interesting topic to discuss
What else did I miss?
Humans please don't cry! If you don't like the killer... Some people are going to enjoy playing him; some people -- not. Not may people like paying Plague -- she is my girl. I love her! Not many people enjoy playing Demogorgon -- I love playing her too! She is my girl!
Many people like playing Freddy and Spirit. I have enough shards for Spirit, but I don't like her. And her brother too. And I am not going to purchase Freddy.
C'mon the changes to Blight and Wraith are great. And DS! Only this thing makes the upcoming patch a success.
P.S.: BHVR, I want to see the killer from Evil Within. The boy or his beautiful sister!
-
Okay, so I've played 10 more matches, where I won most of the time. I'd say the matchmaking is almost no different from the rank-based one.
I don't know how MMR would work if I lose a lot, but now I am getting a decent survivors, just once I've got rank 18 lobby.
Well, this is weird, of course how Rank 17 Plague is now destroying red/purple ranks, but MMR seems to be working fine.

Most people bring Spine Chill these days anyway, regardless. I never have less than two Survivors with Spine Chill in my matches, and often 3+. I wish you were right, and Spooky was the strongest Myers build, but he is not. Even with the optimal map offering, he can be countered and trounced quite effectively. If Spooky was the "strongest" Myers build, you would see a whole hell of a lot of him. :)
Spooky -- is definitely not a S-tier build and depends on the map; on Mother's Dwelling it won't do good because of the size of the map, like any other Myers build, but it is really strong in general. I really thought Myers is a weak killer playing some standard builds, like stalk + t3 duration.
I did not perform well.
With scratched mirror -- wow, I have started getting 4k - 3k almost every game. Since then, I've tried multiple different builds on Myers, and I think Spooky is the strongest one for me. Of course there is a tombstone piece, which is also very strong, but for me this one is on the second place.
-
Scratched Mirror makes the strongest build on Myers. Add indoor map -- and this leaves no chance for survivors. You can figure the build out, when you notice Myers stays too long in tier 1, but usually it is too late. Especially in solo queue. So if you are playing Scratched mirror, just send me a message on Steam, so that at least I am gonna bring Spine Chill or something
-
Billy is a fun killer. It was designed so well, so even that huge nerf with unneeded overheat and new addons, half of which are useless -- did not kill the fun of playing Billy. So I still enjoy playing him. Until next nerf...
-
If you are looking for a good exhaustion perk -- head on is not the best choice to survive...
But it is fun. Sometimes, very rarely it lets you stun killer while they are carrying a survivor or stun killer when they are chasing an injured survivor. With other exhaustion perks you just run...
-
SBTFL, Mad Grit, Agitation, (BBQ) this build is considered to be meme for some people, but honestly I ranked up from rank 5 to rank 1 with this build on Plague. Just get the SBTFL stacks and don't spam Mad Grit on the first downed survivor. This build is the beast!
-
I like the Trickster look. He looks like a madman and I have no doubt he is gonna kill.
He's power is weak. He definitely needs a speed buff or power lethality buff.
