But let's say I slug you with knockout and third seal. Now you have to sit there for 4 minutes doing nothing. No really guys, this is a great policy change.
U quote the wrong post? Don't know how ours connect atm.

If you're hook suiciding because something IRL came up, you are almost certainly not part of the problem.
If you're hook suiciding because "my team sucks," I would be wary.
If I run the killer for 3 minutes and the team doesn't pop a single gen + they sandbag me by pallet camping even tho IM the one in the chase.. After I get downed and I see noone on gens I will get the hell out of this match on first hook. And yes, this happens in red ranks. Can't deal with dogshit like this.

It's not "forever" anymore. That's like saying forever mending Legion still exists. It's nonsense.
Well old Freddy wasn't forever neither. So you shouldn't say that neither.

Forever Freddy doesn't exist anymore. The addons in question were nerfed.
They still provide a good debuff on gens. Just because they got nerfed we can't say it's "forever freddy" anymore? Oh pls, give me a break.

Stupid designed perk, like the majority.

No, totally fine perk.

Yes, both Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini, and before you try - no, nobody has ever been banned for it, and and BHVR has never said it's bannable.
Once again - you owe that person an apology. You said it was not possible, and called them a liar.
Well I don't mind apologising for this scene then, but Im pretty sure it's not possible without editing these files. I wounder of that's even allowed at this point since devs intention was to lock it down for gameplay purposes. @Peanits any take on having more than 120 fps ingame? Is it still messing with the movement and therefore shouldn't be allowed? Just want to make sure.

Is this with edited engine.ini settings?

You are standing in a corner with blocked visual to the entire world. That's nothing special to have a lot of fps in that scene.

A few updates ago. Sure, that did happen, but it doesn't disprove that at one time, this person did run the game at an extremely high fps.
Before that update, I was running at 160+ FPS on a 6700k and a 980Ti. Which are 5 years old now.
EDIT: Also, no, he's not lying. It can still be done. So stop trying to be an expert.
Are you seriously showing me the menu fps? Everyone has high fps there

Bugs and bad performance.

Can you imagine what a studio like Epic Games could make out of this game when they do the work with UE4? I bet you they make it look much more awesome (graphical power, not design) and run smoother. On console it would run 60fps 100% too ;)
At this point I think ANY other dev team can make this game run and look better. This is by far the worst optimised game in my entire library.
I always thought "hmm maybe my rig is just not compatible with this game" but after trying it with geforce now I got my confirmation that this game is just ######### optimised.

I don't know. I have an i5 8400 cpu and a gtx 1060 6gb gpu. With the settings on ultra, 100 res and 1920x1080 i have 130 ish fps.
1 year ago i played on a laptop with an old i5 and 1030 gpu and i got 60+ fps on high.
I think you kinda exposed yourself lying here because I'm pretty sure that the devs locked down the fps to 120 a few updates ago and u CAN'T go higher because it causes movement issues.
Edit: I take my words back about you lying, apparently you can still go beyond 120 fps by editing certain files and lines.

Always been stable here on the 3 systems I have here. Always use 100% resolution regardless of what system because it barely helps to lower that and it looks terrible.
I can get 120FPS more than 95% of the time but it does dip on some maps in some spots which bugs me so I use 90FPS and it never dips on any map even with the new doctor and that's on a 3 year old barely average system with an i7-6700 @3.4Ghz with a 1060 6GB and it uses maybe 3GB or so of system ram, a couple GB ram on card, 55-60% GPU and barely uses 50% CPU for that. My 4 year old laptop holds 60FPS also. Hell even on my ancient 11 year old Dell Dimension 9200 with a q6600 2.4Ghz that only has 4GB of ram with an almost 8 year old HD5700 1GB I can maintain 60FPS no dips.
This game is not very demanding at all on low, and even medium isn't bad just high and ultra suck but I wouldn't use them anyway.
I hardly believe that.

The only purpose of insidious is to piss of players. U can't pull out anything with this perk besides hardcore camping.

Thanks for sharing, some members of our team have seen the video.
As for myself, I like the idea but at the same time I am not 100% convince. This is that kind of stuff that needs to be disused.
Discussed indeed BUT also TESTED by the community in a PTB aswell. So pls, at least give it a shot in a PTB to see how well it performs. It's nothing to crazy to code so it's definetly worth the try.
-
Can you consider to implement "animation priorities" into DbD? The idea came into my mind from my dark souls 1 pvp experience. Basically, the game has "rules" in order to decide which actions take priority over others. For example, rolling takes a higher priority than attacking. This means: of you roll and dodge the attack from your screen you won't take damage, even tho on the screen of the opponent u rolled slightly to late.
I think this would be really needed in order to fix the issue with dead hard, fast vaulting windows or dropping pallets.
-
Just fix the game. Add m+k support.
-
If it's a hardcore proxy camper on 5 gens:
"bring a tent with you next time"
-
Either they cleanse all 5 totems and u as killer got more time to pressure gens (second chance) or they don't and noed kicks in (second chance).
Very simple, it's like 1+1. That difficult for you to do this little conclusion Buddy?

Wrong good survivors will ensure that never comes into play therefore not a true second chance perk.
Then it's still kinda second chance since they wasted time on totems instead of gens. No matter what, noed will always be a second chance.
-
That's what I always said. Tilting your opponent is part of every pvp game. I always tilt my opponent, I try to get into their head and take this advantage to beat them.
It's always shocking to me how upset some people get about teabagging or nodding. Even some very big streamers who are known for playing a lot of competitive games, they should know better.

The thing is, with matchmaking as it is currently you just can't rely on your teammates' experience to react to a situation adequately. In your situation even with bond I'd rather try to lose the hag or get outplayed and take the sacrifice. I've been in this predicament enough to know that for every time the other survivors will open the door and take a hit for you there will be a time that they will do exactly what they did in your game. You can't even get mad for it, because a lot of the time they do this simply due to inexperience.
We aren't directly mad at the players, we are more mad about this flawed ranking and matchmaking system and I'm afraid that the MMR system won't make it better but worse.
-
I was once getting chased by the doctor in madness 3. All gens done, only me and another teammate were left. Guess who wasn't opening the gates to help me out.
We all died thanks to this idiot.
Note: I was running the killer for ~3 minutes at the end. No clue how much more time he needed to do his job.

@Pulsar said:
I disagree. Ruin is too strong to be a regular perk, but too weak for a Hex perk.
This is where my idea comes in.
A Hex that affects all survivors' generator repair progress. All generators are affected by Hex: Ruin. While a generator is not being repaired by a survivor, it will immediately and automatically regress repair progress at 150%/175%/200% of the normal regression speed.
Once the related Hex totem is destroyed, Hex: Ruin will no longer regress generators automatically. You must damage generators to apply this effect towards generators.
Thanks to @NMCKE for the formatting.
OR:
After hex ruin got destroyed, generators will regress automatically but with regular kicking speed.

Flawed logic

Freddy by a longshot. Easiest killer with really strong power

I'm gonna assume you want Self-Care gone because of boosted Meg mains that take 20 years healing against Legion with Thana in the corner of the map.
U assumed right.
-
SELFCARE and NOED.
-
Devs are really good when it comes to ignoring this stuff.
-
The onky reason why killers 4ked back then was cocky survivors messing up, boosted survivors who can't even run while looking behind them or bugs.

Maybe unhook them before struggle state next time and don't be such a chicken hiding in a corner of the map

Not sure if you skipped to the end, but matchmaking and ranking are both being completely changed. Yes, ranks will be hidden at some point, but only because they are not going to be used for matchmaking. Instead, we'll be using a different method to track skill (independent of emblems) and matching you based on that.
Which will
1. Not work since you don't take any advice from skilled players, so how do YOU (bhvr) want to make such a system while you yourself aren't skillful?
2. Still could hide bad matchmaking since you will also hide the "skillscore" to everyone. So basically you could match up a 100 scored player with a 10 scored player and noone of the playerbase will know for sure if the matchmaking is working as it should.

DS, Unbreakable, BT, any exhaustion perk.
This is a build i use a lot to defend against a tunneling killer as well as protect the team from one.
I like to abuse god windows/loops against those kind of killers and BM them. Most of the time they just end up making mistakes in chase because we all know Killers are very sensitive, allowing you to extend the chase.
Dealing with a tunneler is a lot easier in a SWF tho because they'll be more efficient when it comes to genrushing and bodyblocking while you're getting tunneled. All you can do Solo is just try to last as long as possible. Most of the time people DC tho and i can't blame them.
How is BT helping YOURSELF? It's more like helping a tunneled mate. But if you yourself get tunneled it's useless. Iron will instead could help more by losing the killer
-
"You can't even determine how good a survivor is based on how long they last in chases. What if someone uses every single pallet on the map. Just straight up camps them. He makes the killer chase him for 3 full minutes. Now no one else has anything, they all go down instantly. Are those other survivors now worse?"
Chasetime/pallets give u a number to work with

Well, you didn't answer his question either. He asked if he should use it or not, you answered that it won't make him a better killer. He didn't ask "Does NOED make me a better killer?"
It depends on his goal. If he wants to become better: no. If he just wants to win: yes. Do I have to pre chew everything? A little bit of brain usage doesnt hurt.

"Kinda". As in, not absolute.
I mean against a 4head killer with just 10 hrs playtime u don't need it. Against competent killers its a must have (and still can get outplayed by a smart killer).

Adrenaline, Dead Hard, DS, etc... won't make you a better survivor either.
Have I asked about these perks? U seem to be biased.
-
The stun challenge are always stupid. I mean, 3 times? I don't even use so many pallets in regular match, I'm always very efficient with the recourses (not only for myself but also for my team). And once a killer notices you go for stuns he respects the ######### out of pallets.
This stun challenge from last tome took me around 9 days to finish.
-
Noed won't make you a better killer.
-
This one annoys me pretty hard.
I do multiple matches as billy. I switch role. Daily ritual pops up. "chainsaw 3 survivors as Hillbilly". Yeah cool nice, I haven't done that the past hour right?
-
Solo Q is just dogshit.

They didn't say that verbatim, but they did outright say they want gen slowdown perks to have a lot less synergy.
Then they turn around and say "Ruin is great! Use surveilance! To which I say "Okay, tell me what perk survivors have to accompany DS, Borrowed Time or an exhaustion perk with to make it worthwhile? It's 1v4. The killer shouldn't have to stack perks to accomplish one function.
Quick and quite (and iron will) is kinda must have for head on plays during a chase
-
One explanation: 2 (or more) survivors blinded you at the same time (which makes blinding nearly instant) and you only saw one flashlight in the scoreboard because the others found it in a chest.
