kek, the game as been "dying" since it's release according to people like you. -
I would really like for OP to explain what he is calling a bullshit hit instead of needlesly insulting the dev because since I've been playing a long time I saw my fair share of people complaining that the killer had arm and could therefor it them from the other side of a window or the haddonfield spiked fence when they where hugging them.
-
I mostly agree with the change, I personnaly don't think an exhaustion perk should be able to be used twice in a chase which the change will totaly prevent.
It also prevent SB to be used the same way that it is currently use in high rank AKA start sprinting the second you spawn to a gen, work on it will recharging sprint burst, and if you do get found by the killer sprint burst will eventually activate itself during the chase, drasticly increasing the duration of the chase and that is if you didn't have enought time to fully recover it.
Obviously it isn't perfect, they still need to readjust or change the killer exhaustion addon to prevent them from being too abusive by completly negating sprinting perk
But compared to the overall history of perk change they have done during the game lifetime, I would say it's a fair nerf since it at least it won't render the exhaustion perk uterly useless
And if it make survivor change there meta that as been staling for two year, it's a plus in my book.
-
by the way here is something to back up my claim
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqjo34
Exhaustion
We have gotten a lot of feedback about the change to Exhaustion to stop it from recovering while running. We had originally talked about a change for Sprint Burst specifically, and came back with something that affects many perks instead, including the perks that usually compete with Sprint Burst for a slot in players' loadouts. It's not a change we take lightly.A lot of the debate I've read revolves around how this change affects Sprint Burst compared to the other exhaustion perks. Initial rumours of an "Activatable Sprint Burst" turned out to be pretty strongly exaggerated (some players may have assumed that just holding shift while standing still would satisfy the running condition. It does not) and personally I believe Sprint Burst is the perk most heavily affected by the change. Since it triggers so easily while playing the game normally, it's by far the most likely of the perks to have exhaustion up when a chase begins. To have it ready when a player needs it, it'll require more attention (and probably more walking!) than the others.
All that being said, we know this is a big change and we'll be looking for feedback about how these perks play once the change goes live. Also, as you pointed out, certain killer add-ons that inflict exhaustion may need to be adjusted in light of the change.
once the change goes live

Yes they will.

Until killer are able to keep their addon if they 4k their is no reason for survivor to make bloodpoint as easily as a killer.
They don't need to continuisly restock on addon unlike killer.
Killer can't get free addon from the match like a survivor can either. -
Is there only ten or so killer in your region and rank range?
Seem odd to be so frequently matched against the same killer. -
Good luck in your quest of getting flashlight to be less painfull, personnaly I abandonned after 2 year of being ignored.
I wonder how long you will last. -
Happy late birthday!

-
I remenbered that I had still an old bloodweb available, I haven't level up my claudette for more than 1 year and an half.
Here's what an old bloodweb look like:
Here's what a bloodweb look like today for the same level:

See anything different? -
@Asssthetic
The patch that made the bloodweb easier and gave legacy skin to people that had to endure the hard grind was Patch 1.3.0 that got released the 6 December 2016
David king with WGLF got released half a year later the 27 july 2107
The bloody party streamer where also released around the same time in patch 1.5.2b the 13 june 2017
I don't have the exact date for when they boosted the bloodpoint gain from the daily ritual to be 60k and + but it was long after the bloodweb change once again back then daily awarded as much point as they do today.
The earlier mention I found of the buffed daily was during early August, so I can safely assume it must have been released alongside or shortly after the party streamer.
They then in the patch 1.8.2 the 20 november 2017 made the bloodweb even easier and raised the rarity of the party streamer and diminished back the daily rewarded bloodpoint to their original value.Stop talking about thing you don't ######### know.
You are having it super easy conpared to old player. -
@Asssthetic said:
I think some of you old players forget that you had the old we're going to live forever (200% more bloodpoints), old bloody party streamers (common instead of rare so you used to see them almost every match), and not to mention that you had dailys that although were kinda hard used to give you at least 60k bloodpoints. Currently, I think gaining bloodpoints is a bit balanced but I would like to get perks during those levels from 3-5 where you get no perks. If they made getting bloodpoints easier, many older players will feel outraged since they grinded for their p3 all perks on all characters, but at the same time I feel like they should make more blood point perks or bring back the old bloody party streamers so the grind isn't so hard. Both of those got way after the time where the bloodweb was make easier to upgrade, price drop less node by bloodweb etc...
So no
Old player didn't have those.
When we talk about the old bloodweb we are talking about before killer and survivor got legacy skin to compensate them on how much they where lowering the grind. -
I'll never get why people want to cheat in video games, they literaly have nothing to gain from it and most of the time it's extremely obvious that they are cheating.
And if they try to cheat during a tournament they are pretty much sure to be caught. And that's without compting that their cheat on dbd have always been flowd, if you don't get a lobby fast enought the cheater will get kicked or if the cheater is the killer you'll get kicked from his lobby.
So the lobby time to manage to get one single game will using cheats would be high as ######### since if people don't ready up the second they join, chance is you'll have to remake a lobby again and again and again...
What's the fun in that? But on the other hand, being able to see and participate in the survivor chat is pretty harmless in term of cheating compared to speedhack wallhack and ######### of the similar caliber.
-
Other possibility, during the MLGA crisis like half a year ago I learned that an adons similar to it, allowed the killer to see the survivor chat by analizing packet, in a similar way to MLGA
Maybe it got modified in a way that allow the killer to chat with the survivor? But this one would only affect pc player.
-
I remenber an issue long ago that made it that very rarely survivor would get matched in a kill your friend game, the people that joined the kill your friend throught the normal matchmaking didn't see the option to change side but could saw the killer chating in the lobby.
If it happen again, ask the killer if he created a kill your friend lobby just in case. -

Guys I feel like getting all of the perks is very difficult for beginners. Some of you have been playing the game from the beginning so you might not understand how difficult it is right now.I stop you right there, you think you have it hard for the perk farm now?
Yes there is more perk now that back then, but back then everything was way more expensive, perk to gain more bloodpoint didn't exist, offering to gain more bloodpoint cost way more that what they could give you and the % of bloodpoint they awarded where lower (and that without compting that party streamer, escape cake and, survivor chilly didn't even exist yet)
Bloodweb where 3 time bigger and you didn't have the luxury of choosing between two perk will you leveled up, nowday what is needed to reach prestige 3 level 50 was what we needed to prestige ONCEBut please tell me how bad you and newcomer have it...
-
If i where you I would have try to made it myself, it would have roughtly cost you as much to buy what you would need to make it yourselfand you would have learn a skill you could have capitalize on later.
Also IMO it would look way better if the mask was actually made of carved wood instead of being made of Polyurethane Foam
But that's just my opinion -
@powerbats
A yes, the basement chest garding insidious leatherface, haven't seen one in a while. It funny to have one once in a while, the worst is that sometime it's really effective, I've saw survivor team trying their darndest to save who ever was first caught giving the basement leatherface 2+ kill in the process.

I will do my part. Starting after the August reset I will main killer and get him to rank 1 (even if it takes a coupke of months) Can't do it till then as my schedule isn't allowing for enough gameplay time until then.anyone else willing to join me in maining side which you normally avoid?
I may try to get rank 1 killer again since I throwed the towel last time when I was near rank 5, but back then literal infinite like the infamous cow tree where still a thing.

I just want everybody to feel welcomed. You know the game Warframe?
It's famous for it's great community. A community that HELPS out it's newest members.I'm a Limbo main and most of the time get name called the second I join a game just because I dare to play Limbo
Just because some people are trash at playing him or use him to be a dick
So I'm going to have to disagree on the "great community" part -
When one dc I don't care, but if two dc I'm just going to look for the killer and let him hook me and suicide on hook or if he doesn't want to farm with him.
No point in playing the game normaly better to go find another game or farm with the killer at that point -
because rage quitting (at least by pulling the plub) reward the survivor and punish the killer.
The survivor get to keep whatever item he had on him including the addons and as far as I'm aware they get to keep the bloodpoint they gained before the dc
Since the game as trouble handling those thing, on the side of the guy that pulled the plug it will act like every one but him disconnected and aware him his bp
It might have been fixed since last time I saw it happen was month ago but I doubt it since it was nether mentionned in the patch notes
However killer gain nothing for dcing, unless you compt denying a bit of bp to the survivor as a +edit: also to note that I'm talking about the pc version, since I have no idea about the state of the game on console if you are a console only player take all I said about survivor dcing with a grain of salt
-
Killer use to be scary?
I play since day one and I don't remenber killer ever being scary.
Especially back in the "good" old day of infinite -
O boy, his advice are trash.
If he camp the totem who gonna stop the survivor to plow throught gen?
And the trapper/hag one is also irrelevant since you can work on a totem without triggering the hag trap, and the same goes for trapper trap that not only can't be placed close enought to prevent the cleansing, but also by the fact that most trap can be cleansed from multiple directionIt also take time to travel to the totem and set up those trap wich mean that during that time you don't put pressure on gen.
Unless the survivor are lemmings that drop everything they do the second they see the ruin notification to hunt your totem. -
Also the "you should only use totem perk with killer that can defend them" is non aplicable because of how often survivor spawn near totem
Like, I never go hunting for totem but I still manage to get the hex totem cleansing achievment because of how often I spawn with a totem literaly in front or behind me -

I was told that it’s not a problem and you knew the risks of the running the perk
I don't use totem perk, I barely even play killer.
This was literally in the first 5 result in google image for searching dbd totem -

Do I need to say more? -
Don't you dare touche my baby
-

Take what I say with a pinch of salt but if I remenber well this quote came from someone asking mathieu about a color blind mode. -
because you think they won't notice that there no hook aura visible if he isn't notified that the survivor is running it?
-
Evolve stage one, before they did the change that killed the game
-
Don't you know that the game is dying because they are actually trying to balance the game /s
-
There's one, it's called dead hard
-
Well I can't find what I'm looking for in english or on youtube.
But despite it being in french I think people will get the message anyway -
3k hour splitt between both side?
SUREEEEEE...
You defintly experienced if you make you opinion over 1 hour of the ptb being put live.
You seem as experienced as the people that review bombed the game when freddy came out to get him nerfed. -
According to the official dbd console tournament freddy is the most fitted killer for competitive play

Hello
So i tried the combo Tenacity+Unbreakable yesterday and i noticed something : the animation of the killer cleaning his weapon is faster than the one of a survivor getting downed.
What i mean is that currently survivor have no chance of getting a little bit of distance from the killer and for some reason you can recover a little before being able to move when down.
This is why i think this animation should be faster for survivor so it buff Tenacity a little.
thanks for your attention

What would be the point?
Even if you are able to some distance it won't allow you to use your unbreakable anyway, unless you get a surivor distracting the killer will you are picking yourself up that is.
And you don't need to "get a little bit of distance" for another survivor to distract the killer -

A wild illogical fallacy strawman post appears about a non wild strawman appearing.
Ok, if it isn't a strawman please kindly show me where the op say that he wan't survivor to wait for him near hook and give him free hooks?
Your are literaly attacking a non argument that no one [BAD WORD] make in the first place.
He complained about how survivors played saying they were playing like babies by hiding which the exact opposite would be them going and standing in front of the hooks. That's a very valid argument I put forth and quite logical since one is the opposite of the other. Babies by hiding, not babies by standing in front of hooks, highly logical.
Now I probably could've explained it in greater detail as I just did but the point remains the same, the moment you call them babies for hiding you open yourself up to that argument.
Okay, I see what you mean.
Your right.
My apologies.I over reacted because I'm ######### tired of people being like
Dur dur dur you want to 4k every game
Dur dur dur you want to have 4 escape every game. -

If survivors want to insta-gen with zero times of me seeing them (they hear terror radius...urban evasion away and this repeats...) and I'll end up de-pipping from it, i usually just go try to have fun elsewhere...like I'll go sit at one of the exit gates so they don't get the points there since they are playing like little babies or i'll go sit in the basement and if they want more points...they gotta come down to see me.Not every game plays out that way but sometimes its like..."You guys did really well, congrats, now get out since you wanted to insta-gen with no chases...good we all will get no bloodpoints and it was a waste of 5 minutes"
Yeah about as baish as a killer tunneling 1 survivor and camping them and basically nodding their face at them until they die. What you really want tis the survivors to go stand next to hooks and wait for you so you get 4 sacs every game. I mean good grief what a crybaby you sound like and you make all real killers look just as bad.
If I was the entity and you acted this childish in a match I'd sacrifice you myself then sit you in front of a tv and chain you there and make you watch Sesame Street 24/7.
When people say survivor mains are entitled they need look no further than your post.
A wild strawman appears!
-
"If it doesn't guaranty an escape it's useless"
That's what you sound like
I hope they do get rid of it like you "kindly"suggest they should do so you'll end up in the basement every single time you get downed.
Sure you will have a lot of fun
After all, who need struggling?

What SC needs, in my opinion, is an efficiency decrease everytime it's triggered with an eventual recovery of that efficiency over the time.
>
I know all of this, since I'm the one that discussed about that nerf with Horvath (and Jeff) back in the days and he asked us for feedback about this change on discord.
Doesn't change the fact that the perk will still be a mandatory pick after that nerf, and suggesting more changes is an idea. That's why this change will be tested on PTB, and that's why we're giving feedback about what we think in here. The reason I responded is because you stated that in your opinion something should be changed into something thats already shown in the youtube video and now you say you are aware of that video. Makes no sense typing what you said then. Could have just said that a specific change is coming instead imo.
Until it actually make it into the game it just empty promises.
Also what are you smoking?
What he proposed in his earlier post isn't the same thing the dev want to make.
He proposed a decrease of healing efficiency (aka healing speed) the more you use selfcare, it isn't the same as sending there progress back to zero when they stop healing -
Good hags, but since they are pretty rare and most people consider hag to be trash I don't encounter them often.
-
I remenber the good old day where exhaustion wasn't a thing and people started to pick up that they could turn into human racing car by using both balance landing and SB
-
You can give them one thousand alternative if you want and they'll still use selfcare if it isn't nerfed in some way.
Because not only does it have unlimited stack unlike medkit but it also negate the need of a teammate to heal you.
The only way to have people move out of selfcare is either to give them a perk that is even better than it or nerf it.
Self care as been meta since the game got released and it's time to stop.
The survivor meta is sooooooo ######### stall
Having a game with even only one person not running it is like spotting an unicorn. -
Are you okay?
Seem like you just blow a fuze -
@GT_Legend2 Around rank 10 back when LITERAL infinite where a thing in the first two month of the game existance.
Once again a killer being accesible doesn't mean that he warrant a nerf no matter if say killer is considered high or low tier. -
@GT_Legend2 said:
@ChesterTheMolester I agree, my second game EVER with him was a 4K with 1 gen remaining, I fell he needs tweaking, because it seems almost easy when I picked him upI also managed to 4k with my first game ever as the wraith does it mean he also need to get nerfed?
It's not because he is easily accesible that he is warranting a nerf
