  • PS4.

    Leatherface, Doctor, Spirit and Wraith.

  • Good work. It's a good feeling admittedly.

Everytime a new DLC drops...I just hope that new killer isn't too crappy.

  • It's another thigh-slapping joke from the DBD community. Much like other past greats such as "Daddy Myers" and "Boop the Snoot".

So yeah, that's the punchline: Nea has got a face like a squashed potato thus making her a suitable candidate to be a demonic overlord.

    Go on. Laugh.

  • A lot of DBD community don't consider that. Some of us have jobs and responsibilities, and haven't got our bedroom walls insulated with Funko Pops.

  • I can relate. Sometimes the prospect of installing has crossed my mind. I love horror. I like DBD.

  • They need to stop putting out these eye-rollingly dumb challenges.

They also need to have it where you can contribute to multiple challenges per match. Maybe have at least 3 or 5 selected and then gain progression over the course of matches.

Finding thosebcrappy yellow gems is bad enough but having them interrupted and disappear to another part of the map is like walking in to someone else's fart.

Those Huntress challenges are peak turd. Really bad.

  • More, but just because Pinhead is newly released. I enjoy playing as him. Got 3 back to back Merciless with him last night (Deadlock, Plaything, Franklins and Surveillance). Don't worry: I'll be whining and crying about how fed up I am about the game soon.

Dr.Loomis is Cringe and unfun confirmed. (And probably isn't even a pig main)

    😂😂😂

  • I'm the same: big fan of Resident Evil since the original game on PS1...but the Raccoon map needs to go.

I was loaded in to it twice yesterday. It's simply ridiculous. The very worst.

  • Got old back in 2018. Much like all that topless/Daddy Myers cringe.

  • Hopefully we get the Female and Butterball Cenobites.

Also would like to see Dr Channard and Angelique...but that's a stretch.

But of course...Legendary skins are ridiculously overpriced whatever the subject.

  • Yep. That and a whole lot of non-offered RPD maps.

  • Raccoon City is the worst for me. The only map I would honestly be pleased if it was removed.

  • Don't do achievements, especially killer adepts. Very anti-chill.

Only do rift challenges which involve orthodox gameplay eg healing others, unhooks, gens etc and don't rush the challenges. Do them in the background and await for the completed notification.

Don't take things personally like teabagging etc. Ignore it.

  • This and Greasy Black Lens.

    Much fun to be had.

  • Doctor.

Spirit and Ghostface are pains too, but the Doc beats them to the finish.

The static blast...too much screaming...madness tier 3...illusionary Doctors...bangs and visual pop-ups....it's all very annoying.

I also regard him as the go-to low skill killer for darlings.

  • There are rumours of a new licensed horror game from Gun Media.

Hopefully it will be Halloween...but I doubt it.

  • Sometimes burnt clothing will harden and oddly bluge out...or it's just a graphical glitch.

  • Friiday 13th: The Game had much other gorier kills. It was...gorious.

  • It's the cheek stretching that gets them.

    Oooooh cheeeeeeky cheeeeeky!

  • Check out Ichi The Killer. A fun Japanese film. Great Sunday afternoon viewing.

Has anyone tried predator hunting grounds?

I know its still PVP, but there is only so many times you can replay the AVP pred missions.

I'm a product of the 80's and grew up with Terminator and Predator.

The Terminator Resistance infiltrator mode was great.

I too am a old school Predator fan, but after a week Hunting Grounds got kind of stale. Same with Resident Evil Resistance.

  • I liked the chapter, but to be honest Stranger Things is not the same genre of horror as the rest of the licensed killers nor is Demogorgon iconic.

  • When I saw Final Destination 3 at the cinema, a few people left after the girls got burned in the tanning beds.

Another time, I was seeing Wolf Creek and my woman asked to leave the cinema. She didn't like the second half. Too violent.

It happens...but when you play a horror game...what do you expect?

  • The only issue I see is if the licence holders say "No".

  • Crows/Rats/Bats are usually used as the lowest tier antagonists in many a horror game/film.

His mori makes me uncomfortable but I’m not asking for it to be changed. I just look away and mute the game for a few seconds usually I get up to get water or do something else. Idk what about it makes me so uncomfortable but it does, just got live with I guess.

You should watch the film/s. Face your fear 👍

  • None.

Pyramid Head is perhaps the supernatural of all, seemingly without obvious weaknesses. But the pure power of the Entity could destroy a demonic being like Pyramid Head with little effort.

Spirit is a creature also of the supernatural, but no way could her power make a dent in the armour of a force like the Entity.

Freddy is in total control in the Dream World...but once pulled in to the real world, he's as vulnerable as a normal human being. Also, the Entity does not sleep.

Overall, no killer could take on the Entity. They sacrifice their victims for the Entity.

    The Entity is perhaps unstoppable.

  • I would perfectly happy if this game sorted out it's bugs and added offline bots. And maybe snuck in Jason as a bonus.

  • Evan slowly awakes, his eyes adjusting to the bright lights of the bathroom. He's disoriented as he slowly rises to his feet. His vision is still impaired. He feels a pain in the left side of his chest. He rests his left elbow against then flith-stained white wall and takes a couple of deep breaths. He goes to touch his face with his right hand. But he doesn't feel the comforting bone of his mask. He doesn't feel the rough flesh of his face. He feels metal. A metallic mask of torture. A trap. The Trapper caught in an trap. How ironic, thought Evan.

After a few more minutes, Evan regains his full vision. He stands up straight from the wall. He looks around the bathroom. Decomposed bodies lay on the floor. One has it's leg cuffed to a pipe. There is also a severed foot on the dirty tile floor.

Evan steps toward the open doorway. As he leaves the room, he notices a television/VHS recorder on a desk with video tape next to it. "Evan Macmillan" is written on the tape's label. Evan slips the video in to the recorder.

A sinister puppet appears on the screen. A distorted voice is delivers a message:

"Hello Evan. I want to play a game. You've gained great pleasure in catching victims in your bear traps...but today it is you who is the victim. The device on your head is a bear trap. But a reverse bear trap. The timer is fixed at 150 seconds. Once the timer expires...your head will be ripped open..."

Evan grunts in angry and attempts frantically to remove the macabre head piece. The voice continues:

"...but there is a way of escaping this trap. There is literally a key to freedom. All you have to do is defeat my current protege...who has is in possession of the key. The key to her heart. She is also playing with similar rules. You see...this is not only your test...it is her's aswell. Live or die, Evan...make your choice."

Evan suddenly hears a loud ticking noise. It was coming from the reverse bear trap. Evan tries to wrench the trap from his head. As he does, he hears a strange growl...then a rush of pain to his abdomen. He falls down, knocking over a collection of mannequins. As he clutches his wound, he looks up. A figure wearing a crude pig mask stares down at him. The figure has a weapon attached to her right hand...the blade dripping with Evan's own blood. Evan notices that his attacker has something around her neck...a collar...with what looks like some kind of syringes attached...pointing toward the Pig's throat.

The Pig wastes no time continuing her assualt on the injured Trapper. She lunges at Evan with her blade. Evan manages to grab her wrist and hold off her attack.

"GIVE ME THE KEY! GIVE IT TO ME! GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!" screams the Pig in a rage-filled voice. Evan snarls, places his boot in the Pig's chest and kicks her off. The pig flies hard back first in to a toolbench, letting out a high pitched squeak. She then falls to the floor in a heap.

Evan rises up, his fury overflowing. He strides toward the incapacitated Pig...and then he notices...in a bundle on the floor...a familiar old sack. Evan opens the sack to find a pleasant surprise: his rusty, blood-stained machete and a bear trap. The bear trap still had hunks of flesh from his last victim.

Despite the ticking of the timer...Evan smiles as he turns to the groaning Pig. He looks down at his fallen adversary. His opponent. The pig looks up at him, pulling off her mask. A tearful woman is revealed. Her eye shadow running down her cheeks. She pleads with Evan. "Please...there's acid in these syringes...I don't want to die...like that."

Evan knew time was of the essence. But could not resist the opportunity to take a life in a brutal manner. He quickly places his own bear trap on the floor, opening it...and then drags Amanda's head toward it. Amanda panics, as a sinister smile appears on Evan's face. The Trapper slams Amanda's head downward and the jaws of the trap close around her head.

In utter shock, Amanda's body twitches and struggles. Evan turns his prey over and stabs down with his machete in to Amanda's heart. He plunges his hand in to the fresh wound...finding the key.

Evan unlocks the reverse bear trap...seconds before it opens...seconds from death. Amanda's trap goes off...but she's already dead.

Evan puts his bloody hand over his own heart and stares down at the remains of The Pig. "Game over." says Evan...grinning.

    WINNER: THE TRAPPER.

  • My views on the RE Chapter:

    - The patch itself was an absolute disaster. Almost game-breaking in many ways. The lagging/freezing/juttering were absolutely unacceptable.

    - Nemesis looks good. The addition of the zombies was an interesting element to the gameplay. His tentacle is useful in certain situations.

    - Leon and Jill both look perfect.

    - Claire looks like she needs a good night's sleep. Face looks bad. The price tag for this skin is laughable.

    - Chris looks fine but like Claire, he's vastly overpiced.

    - The Raccoon City map is absolute toilet. The very, very worst map in DBD history. Looks authentic, yes. But I would rather it was straight up removed instead of having to risk loading in to it. A total and utter disaster.

Even tho u dont care much about stranger things i would atleast get jonathan since hes a completley diffrent character now that his voice has been added. and there leaving dbd so its now or never.

and about the pinhead skin, there was supposed to be a headpiece to go with it and it looked awesome but idk why they removed it.

I enjoyed all 3 series of Stranger Things, and DBD was the reason I gave it a look, but I'm not fanatical about it. Same with Silent Hill: it's good, but not particularly close to my heart.

I was slightly put off on the Stranger Things franchise after seeing a video of David Harbour (Hopper) and other cast members doing a over the top, cringeworthy political speech at an awards ceremony. Then there's Netflix itself, which produces various content I find highly disagreeable. But that's my opinion.

In regards to the skins: the Scoops Ahoy Steve is good, but none of Nancy's look particularly interesting. I wasn't a fan of the Jonathan character. The Demogorgon spikey skin looks cool, but his chained one is not worth the money. Looks like the normal skin with a couple of broken restraints attached. The other one makes him look like he's made out of a coco pop cereal bar.

Ah, been a while since I've seen this.

    Wouldnt mind him too, honestly.

He's the elephant not in the room.

Arguably the most recognizable horror icon of the last 40 years and he's not in with the rest of them? That's simply not right.

  • I was considering splashing my accumulated rift cells for this, as I'm a Hellraiser fan. But then I've been so outspoken about BHVR's Legendary Skin pricing it would hypocritical. It does admittedly look rather good though.

On a side note, the made-up extra Pinhead skin looks bloody laughable. He looks like he's like something an rock star would wear on his farewell tour or a WWE wrestler.

I brought all the Pig skins and was going to get the Laurie school skin, as Halloween and Saw are two of my favourite franchises. The current Resident Evil skins don't look that great and I'm not fussed about Stranger Things or Silent Hill.

That's a side effect of hit validation at pallets combined with instant feedback from p2p days.

Pallet validation, you were never meant to get that hit. hopefully they get rid of scream and blood cause its annoying.

    Ok cheers.

  • Also, is there a new thing/bug where you hit a survivor as a pallet comes down...they scream...but don't go down a heal state? Anyone else?

  • Leatherface stares across at Pinhead, tilting his head curiously. This was a face the likes of which he had never seen before. It's a mask that would definitely be a valuable addition to his collection. Revving up his Chainsaw, Leatherface prepares to butcher Pinhead.

Pinhead looks unimpressed with Leatherface's plan of attack. With a simple raise of his right hand index finger, a chained hook speeds past Pinhead and buries itself in Leatherface's left arm. With his bound arm swinging outward, Leatherface drops the chainsaw.

Pinhead watches on. Leatherface, pained yet curious, looks at the hook caught in his own flesh. He suddenly lunges his left arm forward, and with a blood-splattering tear of skin, detaches himself from the hook.

Raising his brow, Pinhead almost seems impressed at Leatherface's escape. Reaching in to his apron, Leatherface produces a hammer. He glares toward Pinhead, breathing heavily with anger.

Pinhead looks at the vengeful cannibal; "Enough games." he says calmly. Pinhead extends both hands in a passive gesture. Leatherface seems confused at the pale demon's behaviour. Suddenly several chains dart toward Leatherface, the sharp hooks penetrating his filthy flesh. Leatherface howls in agony as the chains attach to his every limb. He is suspended by the the metal tools of torture, hanging and helpless...like many a victim he brought to his kitchen. For a brief moment, he understood the impact of the pain and suffering he dealt on many a potential meal.

Pinhead steps closer to weeping Leatherface. "You've had your last supper." and with a simple nod of his head, the chains pull Leatherface's body to pieces, tearing his deranged soul apart in a massacre of blood and flesh.

    WINNER: PINHEAD

  • Jason. As usual.

  • Well it's definitely good for certain killers like Nemesis, Trickster and Pinhead. The tight corridors can make for some good opportunities.

  • I agree. It's not fun.

    Not going to lie.

Hence the big break I have planned. Can almost hear the steel drums and take the cocktails.

  • Got too comfortable.

    No competition (F13).

Too much new content, not enough testing.

  • I'm nearly inclined not to bother with a story because the outcome is all too obvious. Ok, how's this:

Chris and David stand about 10 foot apart. David quickly attempts a double leg takedown. Chris grabs David around the neck in a guillotine choke. As David tries to struggle free, Chris cinches down and applies more pressure. With gritted teeth and a snarl, Chris sharply twists David's head *CRACK*.

Chris exhales and lets go of David's motionless body. Looking down at his fallen adversary, Chris remakes to himself "So much for being a King." before turning and walking back in to the dense fog.

  • Hillbilly spots Oni in the distance. Revving his chainsaw, Hillybilly lets out a demented scream as he runs frantically at Oni.

Oni turns as Hillbilly approaches. With one quick slice of his blade, Oni cuts off Hillbilly's arms below the elbows.

Shocked, Hillbilly falls on his face, blood splurting from his injuries.

Standing above Hillbilly, Oni lets out a ferocious roar before crushing Hillbilly's quivering remains with several thunderous club blows.

    WINNER: ONI

  • I'm kissing bye to hard grind soon. After this pass (currently at level 60/70), I'm not bothering with the Rift passes anymore, thus no urgent grind to finish it. Going casual.

  • Maybe they removed it because it wouldn't go well with Chatterer. Maybe it has to be in for all skins or none. I doubt it, as we currently have a none voice box teleport, but would they be able to have one skin with the sound and another without?

  • Trickster:

As Clown reaches back to launch a bottle, Trickster throws a blade which sticks in to Clown's inner wrist. Howling in pain, Clown drops the bottle on his own head. Trickster then attacks the prone Clown with a flurry of thrown blades, bringing the big man to his knees. As the toxin fades, Clown is at Trickster's mercy. Trickster raises his weapon high and brings it crashing down on to the Clown's head, splitting it like a watermelon.
