UPDATE: I GOT IT! π
I can confirm Adept is perfectly fine on PS4.
The Chatterer's Tooth add-on (aura of box, shows survivor locations when picking up box) was VERY handy.
I would just like to give a HUGE RASPBERRY to the toxic, tea-bagging, gamergirl skin Feng. πππππππππ How that sacrifice felt so good I could almost taste it.
Well. Just 11 tiers of the pass to go. And that could be done with DBD.
...until they announce Jason.
-
Nothing. I mean Nothing goes right with DBD. Every chapter launch is a ruddy disaster.
It's just sad.

Just a heads up, all achievements regarding him seem to be bugged, making them unobtainable. I already reported this.
Some of his achievements on PSN are 0.01% so a small amount must have them. The one currently at 0.00% is the Oblivious one.
-
I had one survivor dc on second hook, end game. I was Pinhead. The match didn't disconnect.
-
Yep. Had it myself. PS4. Imagine my happy face after waiting for 10 minutes plus for a bloody match.
Loading in to second match as Pinhead as I type. Wish me luck...
-
They were too fun. We can't have fun in DBD. π€«
-
Through all my years of gaming, DBD is by far the most "toxic" game I've ever played.
As a horror fan, I enjoy seeing the old film characters invovled. But due to current craptastic state of the game and the ever-present player antics, I'm in mixed minds about getting Pinhead.
Half of me wants to just finish the current pass and put this game to bed.
The most likely scenario is that I will probably use the accumulated cells to buy Pinhead and hang up my DBD hat, as an avid player at least.
-
Already there.
Been playing since PS4 release 2017. Once this pass is 70'ed, I'm on a very long break for the very least.
I don't find the game enjoyable. I find it a chore.
-
Hopefully.
-
Remember when Friday 13th used to release those roadmaps of future content? Exciting times, just a shame a lot of it never saw the light of day.
-
At least he looks authentic. The rest are all crumby. But ALL are vastly overpriced.
-
No but without the :,( face.
Stranger Things was good but I'm not an obsessive fanboy or a person with money to throw away who will pay that ridiculous amount for a simple skin.
BHVR shouldn't be encouraged with purchases of these "legendary" skins. It's pure greed.
Even though the Stranger Things content is being discounted, I still won't buy the skins. The Jonathan one doesn't even look good.
-
Playing as Ghostface was a chore with the SWF butthead patrols.
I used Myers with add-ons that gave quicker evil and longer tier 3.
Also added NOED. Wasn't that hard really.
Only have the "Escape 4 trials" challenge remaining...but it's gone 1am here in England and I'm off to bed. Really blizted the challenges this evening. Just want to get this pass out the way and have a LONG break from DBD.
-
I remember on ps4 back in 2017...sure I could sometimes here faint whispers which sure enough signified the location of the hatch. Maybe I was imagining it.
-
I've decided once I've 70'ed this pass...that's it. I'm done. 4 years on PS4 and that's enough.
No lip-quivering goodbye thread. I'm out.
A big thanks to all the idiots who made this game something I dislike.
-
Trapper: Needs to start off with a minimum of two traps.
Myers: Evil Within 3 with tombstone allows Myers to insta-kill survivors in lockers.
Spirit: Nerf π
-
I imagine those killers were possibly going for the 'hook x in basement' Tome challenge.
-
No.
Especially if you consider the ridiculous nature of some of the Tome challenges.
Many require survivors to do things other than gens: be close but undetected by the killer...drop pallets...open chests...cleanse totems etc...
-
I love the way they smacked that right out as the first survivor challenge. The 240 seconds in chases challenge is also complete horse crap.
They need to pack it in with these grinding challenges. Pain in the ruddy bum.
Can't wait to finish this pass and all the nonsense that goes with it.
-
Once I get to level 70, I'm not bothering with rift passes. Maximum grind for minimal reward. I spend too much time on games anyway.
I'm going to just play occasionally, casually with people I know.
-
I may well be packing it in and moving on after I complete the current pass.

There won't be achievements/adepts etc related to Stranger Things in the game, so yes people will still be able to 100% their achievements for DbD. With the achievements being made generic they will not need the Stranger Things content to complete them.
How will the current character/location specific trophies change on PSN etc?
-
It's a valid point.
After the September cut-off date, new players/people yet to buy the Stranger Things content will no longer be able to unlock the Adepts for Demogorgon, Steve and Nancy. They'll also no longer be able to unlock the Hawkins generator trophy. Meaning they'll never be able to 100% the DBD sets.
-
-Calm Spirit with Urban Evasion, Empathy and Spine Chill too.
-Use a survivor with a good camouflage skin.
-Follow the killer.
-Use Urban Evasion to move quickly with less visibility.
-When Spine Chill flashes up, carefully hide.
-Empathy will show you injured survivors. Hide in lockers close to where they're being chased.
-
Regardless of all this and the disastrous Resident Evil launch, people will happily hand over their cash for Pinhead. It's so tiresome.
-
I doubt the revenue generated by DBD was a drop in the ocean to a huge company like Netflix.
-
The Postal dude.
-
It was never fixed for me. Constant since Resident Evil dropped.
It's completely unacceptable. Once I've cleared this Rift pass, I'm coming off. Not going rush and buy Pinhead either (and I'm a Hellraiser fan).
The game's toxicity and grind is bad enough, but now the gameplay is broken, it's just ridiculous.
It was the final straw. The Stranger Things fiasco just solidified it.
-
I disagree.
I don't like having everything linked.

The total amount for one health state has to be hit.
Meaning 1/3 cooperation here plus 3/8 cooperation there doesnβt equal one.
9/10 doesnβt round to 1.
maybe?
it gave me issues when I did it.
It's cool cheers.
I played against a farming Freddy and we just kept healing one another. All done.
-
From now on, all licensed perks should have default back-up symbols and avoid having names associated directly with the license eg "Franklin's Demise".
-
This would be somewhat of an incentive for the presence of non-changeable Legendary Skins.
It would also put forward some justification for the ridiculous price tags.

I suppose but Ashley Lawrence seems open to being in it shes still active in the horror community, still loves hellraiser, even followed DBD. I don't think it was a red tape reason tbh
I agree she does seem like the kind of person who would be all in with something like this.
And her character is unquestionably the most recognizable and important protagonist in the series. Kirsty would be fully valid addition to the survivor roster.
Who knows.
-
DBD is far from fine.
On PS4 at least, it plays like a nightmare. A real exercise in frustration. Broken to such an extent that it's borderline unacceptable.
For me, the news of the incoming Halloween chapter is what caught my eye with DBD. Hence why I got it soon after PS4 release in 2017.
I liked the idea of having some of my favourite horror characters included in one game.
But if they weren't included, I would of perhaps never played DBD. I certainly wouldn't of been so invested in the game and brought extra chapters and skins.
I think I've become so irritated by the game, the prospect of more licensed content is no longer a worm for this fish.
-
None.
I only played the first two and whilst I found them relatively enjoyable, they didn't blow my mind.
My opinion: I don't think DBD should add any more legendary skins. They're over-priced tosh. Even the most sought after skins should cost no more than Β£4/$5. It's insane that a "legendary" skin costs more than an entire chapter. Ludacris.
-
The obvious fix would be for Tombstone Myers to have the ability to kill survivors hiding in lockers. Pin them up like Bob in the original film.
Myers stabs, knofe pins them against the locker, survivor dies, Myers tilts head for a second, then retrieves knife and survivor falls out of locker.
End.
-
Why did Leatherface lack a survivor and a Sawyer house map? Why did we get Quentin over Nancy? Why did we get 2010 Elm Street over the more iconic 1984 Elm Street? Why don't we get legendary alternative Saw survivors?
It's likely all red tape.
-
Unfortunately, any alternative skin will be ridiculously over-priced. This is DBD.
-
With the Stranger Things situation in mind, I would be apprehensive to spend time, money and effort on licensed maps.
To be honest, from the remaining viable franchises, only Jason without Crystal Lake would be a glaring omission.
-
Console is still a complete mess.
We're talking console, not pc. Playing on console is absolutely appalling. Unacceptable.
I'm seriously considering retiring from DBD once I've finished the current pass (at level 36). Might not even bother with Pinhead either.
I spend far too much time on this with sadly little in the way of rewarding enjoyment.
-
I used to enjoy the prospect of licenced elements, but the whole Stranger Things issue is off-putting.
-
When I was a kid, Hellraiser was one of the two films I wanted to see but my parents were unsure about.
It was because of some of the more violent elements. Hellraiser (the whole hooks in skin business) and Predator (the skinned bodies hanging up...I know, ridiculous). But I still got to watch them π
-
Start with possibly part 3 Jason.
Then add the rest (parts 2, 6-X) as extra skins.
-
I like this idea. Good thinking.

Go be negative somewhere else.
No thanks. I have an opinion. And that opinion is one shared by many: Raccoon City is trash.
Cheers π

BHVR has reworked various older maps, a process that continues to this day.
Who knows, a rehash of Hawkins could potentially happen...with the map's basic structure retained but having the identity rebranded. I hope so.
-
Dont worry everyone:
"nExT cHaPtEr Is jAsOn!"
-
If we only lose the maps, hopefully the Resident Evil license runs out tomorrow.
