A question about trophies

As we all know, the stranger things chapter is getting yeeted by netflix, im just curious about whats gonna happen to the ps4/5 trophies

    What about achievements?

    You don’t lose your progress on the characters that you already own. The Achievements will be made generic (so not specific to Stranger Things), and if you already had completed the achievement, the achievement will be automatically unlocked for you.

    I was actually wondering how come BHVR gets to hold on to the Killer and the survivors, but not the map? Can we assume we will get to keep our purchased skins or will the characters also eventually find themselves yeeted out of the game just like the map.

    Adepts are considered achievements so the same information applies.

    Anything you have purchased will remain on your account, you will not lose access to the characters or cosmetics that you have purchased.

    It's a valid point.

    After the September cut-off date, new players/people yet to buy the Stranger Things content will no longer be able to unlock the Adepts for Demogorgon, Steve and Nancy. They'll also no longer be able to unlock the Hawkins generator trophy. Meaning they'll never be able to 100% the DBD sets.

    There won't be achievements/adepts etc related to Stranger Things in the game, so yes people will still be able to 100% their achievements for DbD. With the achievements being made generic they will not need the Stranger Things content to complete them.

    How will the current character/location specific trophies change on PSN etc?

    They'll be made generic the same as on PC

    We can change trophies as long as they are not achievable any more on Console platforms, and with the Stranger Things removal they won't be achievable for all, hence they can be made generic.

    Ah ok, that clears it up for me. I was under the impression you couldn’t change trophies, but it makes sense they you can only change them if you can’t complete them

    So the adepts will be made generic as well? What will they say, "On Monday July 23rd Miketheratguy unlocked the Adept Unnamed Rando achievement"? :P
